Amazing food and amazing service . I came here multiple times and the chef never disappoints. I especially love their dal makhni . It’s seriously the best in the city. Although out of the multiple multiple times I have had it they did mess up one time.

My wife and I had dinner at Aroma Restaurant last weekend and we both enjoyed everything on their menu. All of the dishes were flavorful and authentic, but what we were most happy with was the impeccable service they provided throughout the course of our meal. We will definitely be back again!

Easily the best Indian food I’ve ever had. We had the chicken samosas and vegetable samosas, two different curries and chicken korma. All was fantastic. The staff was super nice and attentive. Must visit.

First time being at Aroma Restaurant and the experience was amazing, had Sultan as our server and he was very attentive and provided great service, definitely will be going back to Aroma again, the food, drinks and service was great.

I am been coming here for over 6 yrs now and I love how the food is allllways on point. The menu has also expanded with lots of delicious options. The hand painted decor is stunning, and the ambiance is warm and intimate. ( I most recommend the lamb, palak paneer and mango lassi )

Great place to eat in Middle Village. If you’re looking for an indian craving or just casual eats you’ll definitely want to come here. Had the lamb shank, garlic naan, chicken tikka, lollipop chicken, and lamb chops. The lamb shank was cooked beautifully and the sauce worked very well with the rice as well as the naan. My family ate that sauce up quick. The lamb chops had a nice char that we very much enjoyed as well as the chicken tikka which my dad could not get enough up. We wanted to order another set of lamb chops but was reluctant due to not having enough time. The lollipop chicken was very nice, only thing i wish was different was the additional sauce added to coat the lollipop chicken which should be a nice spicy sauce to compliment the sauce used to coat the chicken. Overall a very good experience and are looking forward to coming black.

Food served fast, hot and to order. I've tried 4-5 different dishes here and they've been full of flavor and authentic spices. If you enjoy food with some kick I would recommend asking for your dish made spicy. When I asked for my curries spicy, they were mild-medium spicy but it added a lot of heat and depth to the dish. Next time I will ask for my dishes extra spicy. A great casual neighborhood spot with delicious food and great service.

The food was amazing. The spices are all perfectly balanced for each dish. I ordered the chicken tikka biryani and the chicken blends well with the hot rice and spices. The serving was also plenty, and the prices not too costly too. Our server was also attentive and catered to our needs quickly. This modern Indian restaurant is really good. The food tastes great and looks nice on the plate. I tried their butter chicken and it was delicious, creamy and full of flavor. Upon finding this place, we have ordered here multiple times and have dined in twice. We have are excited to taste the flavors and textures that make this place special. There is no wrong order. Get your staples, the naan, the samosa the chicken tikka but I dare you to try something else. My new face is the lamb shank. Inside you'll find a quiet intimate spot for dining. Cravings satisfied!! I’ve been craving Indian food for a while and this place did not disappoint! Our server, Bini was very helpful in giving food suggestions as we were not so familiar with Indian food. We got shrimp tikka Masala, marsa curry and buttered chicken. All tasted superb! Aroma Indian Cuisine is a hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious, with just the right amount of spice – not too overpowering but packed with flavor. We started with the pani puri, which was crispy and bursting with flavor, and the veggie samosas, which were generously packed with vegetables. I recall coming here years ago and wasn’t pleased with food that much. Last night I went and it was amazing! In short, I am excited we went for a date night and would definitely recommend! We had Chicken 65 and Veg Samosas and both dishes were a hit wonderfully seasoned. Then had Saag Chicken with rice pulao and Navrata Korma with Paratha it was yum!! I’m picky with how some places season and prep but this was perfect. We tried the Gulab jamun cheesecake which wasn’t bad at all. The syrup really tied everything in perfectly. Oh, the lycheetini was also a top favorite, sweet and strong. Excited to go back and try more from their menu.

Love the food here! They have a big selection of both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The space is small but cozy and beautifully decorated. I love all their naan options. It’s a great place to hang out with a small group of friends or to go on a date with another person. The drink selection is sleep good and unique. I would recommend if you love Indian food!

Ordered 3 main dishes : chicken tikka masala, beef vindaloo, alo dum gobi matar (all came with a of side rice), also ordered garlic naan and samosa. (Through iseamless) All very good and tasty! We’ll definitely order again! My only complaint is I check-marked for no plasticware like forks and knifes, and they came anyway.

We absolutely love the food here but the service is crazy. We ordered a beer and a glass of wine. Beer came immediately. Wine took 20 minutes. We ordered two apps and two entrees (cauliflower- fabulous) samosas (never came), and two curries - shrimp and fish - both fabulous! Samosas came later! Guys, you have a great place here! Learn how to serve!! Take out is always excellent but sometimes you want an in-restaurant experience.

The food was amazing. As I am not familiar with Indian cuisine, the waiter was extremely helpful and patient. He explained the dishes and made great recommendations. He gave me a Mango Lassi which was amazing. I took the food out as they were about to close their lunch hours. The Butter chicken was delicious. The rice and the garlic Nan was good also. My only call outs are the Nan is an extra charge and they could be a little more generous with the rice. Overall a nice experience and very tasty food.

One of the best mango lassi i have tried in newyork, Chicken hyderabadi biryani was good but they serve it with tiny quantity of yogurt (i say yogurt because i tasted only yogurt & not raita) Panipuri price was exceptional it tasted better than what i thought but really again, they should provide more pani for panipuri; The waiter was kind enough to bring more. I never tried Paneer chat but i would say it was ok, too much chickpeas though, might not be a problem to some people. I was excited to try lamb Keema nan it was good but I would suggest if they also offered chicken keema nan for more meat variety. Also please serve the keema nan with some kind of chutney/sauce/ pickle It’d taste way better if there was some sort of spicy tangy pickle or sauce to dip the Keema nan with.I would advise going at evening -night time because it is a perfect time with the lights & candle they have. I found it really cosy and peaceful to spend quality time & chat with my loved one.

Food was good and tasty. All the dishes we got hit the spot and we enjoyed every bite of it. The only thing we all agree on was that the water tasted funny and we realize it's because of the copper cups they're using which have a after taste to it. We thought it was the water so we pour some of our bottle water into the cup and it was indeed the cup. The message to management, if you're reading this, maybe consider changing out your cups to some other material? Stainless steel, glass or whatever that's not copper. Overall would definitely come back again.

Food is awesome, try lamb chops. Worth a try! But this place needs to focus on customer as well. Staff needs to be more professional towards guest. I have seen a guy from the staff flirting with one of the guest and not caring for others so I'd to wait for him until he finished his business as he was the only one at the floor. First time ordering from Aroma tonight via Uber Eats. The food was fresh and tasty! My first time having a chicken Tikka salad and whatever oil they used on it was delicious! Also was my first time having Gobi manchurian cauliflower and it was so good! I just recommend have the lassi taped up for delivery and in another bag for safety and protection. Not for the delivery person having to place it in there carrier or in cup holder and it's not protected.

Ordered take out - they had a special buy one get one free entree for Achari chicken- essentially received two container of sauces with a few pieces of chicken. Also ordered the lamb chop. Perhaps I didn’t order their signature dishes but felt their spices were lacking. The sauce was not rich. The saag was ok. Dishes came with rice (the naan pictured is not from the restaurant)

I want to keep it relevant & precisely to the point. They open for dinner at 4PM, we were the first and only customers at that time on a weekday. The interior is nice, some classy Ben Keller and hafandhaf desi art on the walls along with wine bottles. A nasty 😷 smell hit my nose as soon I entered, usually it’s either a dirty mop or mice 🐀 that can cause this smell. The bathroom door looks very dirty and the bathroom lacks light. There was only one waiter working who was nice but kept disappearing from the front and we had to get up from our seat to get their attention on several occasions. We ordered many items including the Aroma Grill Biryani (even though we mentioned 3 times that we want the lamb one, they made it with shrimp and chicken as well which they did remake for us later on). Ordered the Lachcha paratha (which seems like a naan dipped in butter). Rest of the items were okay but I think that the portions of the mains are small (not enough meat) for the price. We didn’t get the raita we ordered until we got up and asked again. Overall, they didn’t meet my expectations being a part of Amani Hospitality group like their other counterparts (enjoyed Lulu Chinese or Gully better).

Food is usually good here but the customer service was quite disappointing today. The waitress seemed uninterested in attending to us. just to get some water or napkins we had to wait a long time even though the restaurant was not that busy. She seemed to be busy in her phone while we asked her for anything. If the customer service is improved, this place can do much better

I was so disappointed because this place had such high ratings, went with my friends and ordered the butter chicken. It tasted so bad! It was so bland that we had to ask for salt. We also ordered the mango lassi and the glass was so small and not worth its price. The only good thing was the samosas.

Giving 2 stars. Why? when ordering for delivery, the food that arrived was missing naan and roti. We called to tell them it was missing. They would not replace it, which is not that much of an issue but when asked to at least refund the cost of the naan and roti, they refused. First and last time. ordering from here.

We ordered the samosas, butter chicken, naan, lamb chops gulab jamun cheesecake. Samosas was cold in the middle and drenched in oil like it was cooked in cold oil. Butter chicken was sweet and super oily when it should be spicy and creamy. Naan wasn’t real naan but just a thin flatbread. Lamb chops was super overcooked and burnt on the ends. The only decent thing was the cheesecake. It wasn’t sweet and needed something to freshen up the flavor of it.

What can I say about this place. The atmosphere and the music was lovely especially hearing classing Bollywood music. We sat at the table, no plate no utensils no glasses no nothing was set up. We ordered our food which took 35 mins to come out. Even the appetizers came out at the same time as our dinner. The rosemary chicken kebab was extremely dry. The butter chicken was undercooked and the garlic naan wasn’t fully cooked either. When it came to dessert, we ordered gulab jamun which took twice as long to come out. I wish I can say beautiful things however the service was absolutely HORRIBLE!

I said that wasn't necessary but I left my address and said it would be nice if they mailed me a little coupon for my trouble. To date I have received no coupon or acknowledgement from management. So now I am dropping to 4 stars. Update June 20, 2025 server refuses to serve tap water as he says it is unavailable. So he refuses to give us bottled water for free. Manager is unavailable. This is unacceptable. I should walk out but I know the food will be good. Is the water dirty? Why can't they serve me tap water? Maybe it is just a scam to sell overpriced bottled water. I am so sad to drop this restaurant to one star. Ack! And to.top it off they just automatically added an 18% tip and we were only a party of four. Your loss. I normally tip 20% but now I'm annoyed at your presumptuousness so I'm not adding anything.

I use to love this place but I don't know what happened. A horrible smell as I entered the resturant, like mold hit my nose right away. As we ordered and waited for our food... there was a cockaroch 🪳 crawling on the wall right where I was sitting!!! I couldn't stay there. I called over the waiter and told him and he asked if we wanted our food to go and I said nooooo. I was disgusted. Worst food ever and worst service with it as well. Ordered 2 orders of the saffron chicken tikka, naan and mango lassi. Mango lassi was really good. Chicken tikka was not cooked at all. Instantly called the host and showed her it was raw meat no spices at all. We could literally smell the raw chicken. Host offered to change it to chicken tandoori and we said yes. Host came back and said she can only exchange one chicken tikka with tandoori and the second chicken tikka they will cook it properly. Then she came with the naan and about 30 mins later she came with the old freaking saffron chicken tikka again that we returned previously. We didn’t eat it at all and I said I just want to pay the bill and taking out the tandoor which is about to come. Host requested to try the tandoori and the tandoori was good. By that time the naan was hard as a rock and wasn’t aboe to eat that as well. Paid the whole bill and just left. To put the cherry on top they charge you mandatory gratuity as well. Worst experience ever and the host said she can’t cancel any orders but we can leave a review on the page so here it is. This whole experience was total of our time because it took them almost 2.5 hours to serve us everything. If there was a way to review it negative stars I would do it for this restaurant.

The chicken tikka samosa was super good and there was a good sauce that came with it. The butter chicken was very disappointing because the samosa was so good and the restaurant is super cute. The butter chicken has no flavor whatsoever. We tried to add salt and it was still inedible. We tried to have them remake it and it still wasn’t good. It’s unfortunate. Hopefully they listen to the reviews and change up the recipe.

We had lunch here last week. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place was just terrible! The service was bad and the food was worse. The Butter Chicken was as sweet as a dessert and the chicken pieces themselves felt old and stringy.

Why is there no way to give a 0 star review. Horrible experience at this establishment. Went with 2 girlfriends and when paying the bill, paid for our meals on my cc and left a cash tip. Later found out that I was charged an additional $25. When i called in, I spoke to someone who I later realized was our waitress, who had the nerve to claim that the she was told to add that as a tip. A clear and blatant lie. She told me to come in and pick up my money. As I do not live in the US, that was not a possibility. Called in again and supposedly spoke to a manager who now claims that it was an automatic gratuity charge-another blatant lie. This gentleman claimed to want to help and offered to zelle the money to a family member. Still waiting as clearly all they do is rob people and then lie about it.

Came here after seeing a hyped up video on Instagram. The restaurant inside is very small and dark; the table sizes are very small and cannot hold enough plates and dishes for even two people. The quantity of food was not a lot and very bland especially the Kolhapuri chicken, the pani puri had more stuffing and less of the flavored water. We were given a wrong order as well, however that was quickly resolved. The place needs some cleaning up and there was a lot of bugs flying inside while we were trying to enjoy our meal.

The food was terrible, we got food poisoning and was throwing up like hell, they need to get fresh food.

Mixed Grill platter meat was literally all charred outside but raw inside. Butter chicken sauce was rotten and extremely oily. The order took a little over an hour and I was extremely disappointed. They didn’t have lentil soup, so they kindly called to replace it with chicken samosas, but those tasted like old refrigerator and were burnt. :( The beef biryani was the only edible plate out of our order and it was pretty bland. Thanks to Grubhub customer service for refunding us, this disgusting order was over $50.

I went to this restaurant for the first time on Eid-ul-Fitr in the afternoon, and it completely ruined my day. The service was absolutely disgusting. The cashier/server had a terrible attitude — rude, unbothered, and clearly didn’t care at all. We were the only customers, yet they took 50 minutes to serve the food. They brought the naan out 20 minutes before the actual dishes, so by the time the main food came (which was also late), the naan was rock hard and inedible. We had to throw it away. The chicken was raw from the inside. We sent it back — they just overcooked the outside and brought it back the same way. Still undercooked, still disgusting. Nothing was edible. Not even one dish. And we were starving. The drumstick even smelled like fish — absolutely revolting. When we raised all our concerns, the response was a careless, “It is what it is. You can complain to our website.” Wow. What kind of restaurant says that to a customer? Honestly, I’ve never in my life eaten such trash food or received such garbage service. To the owner: this is your fault. If you can’t treat your employees right, they’ll never treat customers right. The entire experience screamed mismanagement, disrespect, and zero quality control.

had this for takeout tonight. unfortunately they have lazy methods of cooking, it’s one batch of plain unseasoned chicken that they they throw into curry or biryani… VERY DRY chicken breast no flavor in the meat, only highlight was the samosa chaat. not sure if it’s bc wednesday before thanksgiving but not coming back here 👎 way better indian food out there: angel, adda, and paratha wala are 10x better.

I'm appalled by the lack of customer service and consideration they have for there customers. This is the second time i order from this place and for the most part the food is alright. I ordered the Rosemary Malai Kabab and to my dismay i found a hair in it. I called the restaurant and after several attempts they finally answered, i told him what happened and they put me on hold for 5 minutes before they hung up. I called several times again and when they finally answered, i explained to the gentleman what happened for the second time. He tells me to call back that they are busy. I'm confused, if a person calls you up and tells you they found a hair in their food wouldn't you address the issue right away?! Then proceeds to leave me on the line talking by myself. I'm extremely disgusted of the lack of urgency and genuine care that they have for there customers. Foodies beware!!....i won't be ordering from this place again!!
