Every dish my family and I have tried at Baht has delighted us! Highlights include the green curry eggplant, crying tiger steak, calamari, perfectly crispy spring rolls, and flavorful pad Thai. Even my extremely picky children found dishes to enjoy. Incredible food, attentive staff, and a wonderful ambiance make Baht special. If you’re looking for amazing Thai food in Queens, I strongly recommend Baht.

Amazing Thai spot! I’ve been to many Thai restaurants in the U.S., and BAHT really stands out. The food, drinks, and overall vibe are all on point — everything I ordered was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The place is owned and operated by a new generation of Thai owners, and you can really feel the modern touch mixed with authentic Thai soul in every detail. We started with Empanadas, which had a nice crisp and savory filling — a great start. For mains, the Pla Tod (whole fried fish with mango salad) was a true highlight — crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, topped with refreshing mango salad that balanced the flavors perfectly. The Crying Tiger (skirt steak) was another winner — soft, juicy, and paired beautifully with the jeaw sauce. The Khao Pad Poo (crab fried rice) had real, nice lumps of crab meat — simple but done really well. Drinks were just as impressive. I tried the Green Jacket, The Rupert, and Lychee Martini — all perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. For dessert, I had Mango Sticky Rice, Banana Cinnamon Sticks, and an Espresso Martini (a perfect cocktail-style dessert to end the night). Everything was consistently great — food, drinks, service, and prices. The vibe is cozy yet trendy, making it a perfect spot for a casual dinner, a date, or drinks with friends. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Thai food with a creative modern twist. Definitely one of my new favorite Thai restaurants!

wowowowowowow!! Finally a Thai restaurant I can chill Eat and enjoy the Vibes!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated with a smile. We sat by the bar and enjoyed the Game with Good music as the night went. We started off with the Egg rolls and laarb wings. Fried perfectly and tasted delicous. enteees we had the Pad Thai shrimp and Red snapper Tasted fresh and i think the best Snapper we had in a while! Dessert was the sticky rice and mango. The mango was perfectly ripe and Sticky rice just sweet enough to compliment the dish. Drinks were hitting! We loved the variety and Vibes! staff was amazing and food delicous cant wait to go back and try the steak!

YOU WILL NOT REGRET DINING HERE--on a brisk but clear-skied autumn afternoon, I and a few friends walked into Baht seeking bathrooms, quick libations, and outlets. When we exited, street and other miscellaneous city lights illuminated the jet black night, a glacial wind blasted through the streets, and I don't think any of us cared at all. I particularly entered Baht already full from lunch, and upon setting my eyes on the menu, I regretted having a full stomach. I searched within the depths of my stomach, and more pertinently searched within the depths of my Bank of America mobile banking app, and sadly settled for a drink and glass of water. Throughout our time at the bar, some small, unconscious, highly dramatic part of me lamented that I'd have to settle for marking this place on my Maps app and returning to eat next time I can get to the city. And most fortunately, unbeknownst to me, the kind-voiced bartender (gliding swiftly through the establishment as if the floor was solid ice and he an Olympic skater) was determined to ensure we would not have to settle that night. First came the Ku Chai Tod, which he very hospitably dropped after my friends and I interrogated him, a bit puzzled about how such a clean and aesthetically delightful place could have open tables on a weekend night. Discovering extra space in our stomachs, we devoured these crackly, crispy chive dumplings and our bewilderment only grew. My eyes ever darting back to the menu, the bartender disclosed to us more about Baht--originally a family restaurant (Arunee Thai) cultivated by his wife's first-generation parents. His hospitality was brimming--not in the cloying, transactional sense you'd find from the owner of some uppity $40/entree place searching for a Michelin star (and your wallet's approval)--in the way that your lovely grandmother would always meet your gaze after a period of separation, smile on her face and with an irresistible smell wafting from her kitchen. After serving the community for decades, it came time to hand the torch to the next generation, and over the past few years, they conceived and executed Baht. On the sixth day of my trip, my wallet suffocating in my back pocket and gasping for mercy, I--like a tyrant unrelenting--showed absolutely none: "Could I actually get one order of the larb fries?" The bartender--now known to me as half of this graceful husband-and-wife duo who I'd watched skate throughout Baht all night, taking care of every single customer--disappeared into the back of house. Heidegger has a lesser known essay (Building, Dwelling, Thinking) on what it means to dwell in a place, versus merely existing in it. I definitely felt like I dwelled the night I spent at Baht; in a city often lacking attentiveness and breeding ironic feelings of social alienation, I found a respite from all of that in Baht. All of this seems plainly obvious and logical now knowing that at its core, Baht is a family-owned restaurant. But I've not walked into many places in NYC and felt like I was at home, and usually the other places in the city where I feel like this are other friends' apartments. The owners of Baht are so aggressively hospitable and kind, in a way that will make you feel like you're a special customer, until you pivot your head around and starkly realize that you are, in fact, not special at all. And I think what I've realized now weeks removed from my trip is that when you dine at Baht, you are genuinely family. The larb fries dropped on the counter, and they suspiciously looked like chicken wings instead of potatoes. A true Sherlock Holmes, my hypothesis was confirmed when the bartender came out a minute later with larb fries and apologetically said he dropped the larb wings in the fryer initially. No mistakes, only happy accidents, right? After a couple bites, I almost cancelled my night's plans right then and there; I'd say I was about one chicken satay away from voiding all my social contracts. Next time I'm in the city, this will be my first stop.

I am so happy that Baht exists in the neighborhood! I came for lunch on a weekend, which happens to also be during their Happy Hour. Amazing food and such a fun cocktail menu - the space is great, which also made it a really nice sit down spot to hang with friends. I definitely think this will become my go-to spot for great bites and amazing cocktails. Shout out to the amazingly seasoned Larb Fries!

Wonderful food and service. My family and I had a delicious meal here and were treated so well by the staff. My toddler was with us and she can be picky but loved the food! If you around the area or even want to take out : THIS IS the spot! Food here never disappoints and is always cooked to perfection. I’ve dined in this location a bunch of times before where the vibes are great, music selection is amazing and service is phenomenal by Bryant and other waiters. If you never tried Thai food before let this restaurant guide you into a world that you have yet to discover, with rich dishes you will even be having your parents/friends wanting to try.

LoMa MT (True Core)

A great local spot. Love being close enough to enjoy this restaurant. The staff/owners are super welcoming and make you feel like you are coming into their home. (They often have amazing incense burning that adds to a super warm and relaxing atmosphere.) When our stove was out, we dined here every night for a week. Everything I have had so far was more than a delight. Incredible Fish Fritters, Calamar, Pad See Eiw*, Chicken Basil Fried Rice (perfect amount of spice for me...lovely fresh red hot peppers), Pad Ma Muang*, and great cocktails. Love going to Happy Hour, and Martini Mondays. It is often a little too easy to have a wonderful meal, then when it's over move to the bar and enjoy another cocktail.

J

I’m so happy we discovered this place when it first started. The food is simple yet magnificent. The drinks are divine. We have recommended this place to everyone we know in the neighborhood and they come every week. Can’t recommend enough!!

Finally got to enjoy lunch at Baht after an earlier, excellent delivery dinner: The Crying Tiger beef was perfectly seared to order with its addicting sour-tangy jeow dipping sauce and sides of jasmine rice and crisp, mixed green salad. My husband called his chicken Pad See Ew lunch special the best Pad See Ew he's had since the restaurant serving his favorite version closed (probably two decades ago!). We were warmly welcomed and also got to enjoy the afternoon sunshine streaming into the airy space. We're looking forward to coming back for cocktails and larb fries, and to explore the rest of the menu.

After seeing their article on New York Magazine, me and my friends decided to check out Baht and honestly it became our new favorite spot. If you’re ever looking for a chill spot to drink and catch up with friends come to Baht. The food is so good and sometimes I stop by to have a quick meal at the bar. Bartender is great and always attentive. Music and atmosphere is always a vibe.

K

Great drinks, phenomenal food, even better owners. Brings a nice vibe to the community, one of the only spots I’ve ever been to where you could eat Thai American Fusion at a bar and watch sports at the same time. Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met too.

J

Been here a few times now and we love it every time. Excellent food and service, a fun, chill energy that feels just right, and a list of original cocktails that really hit the spot. Come for a great meal or sit at the bar to watch a game over some drinks. This place deserves your attention.

Baht just opened a few days ago, they are friendly, and their menu is refreshingly a little different than other nearby eateries. I had an app which was very good & wine, sat at bar which is a real bar, and nice size. They put alot of effort in to the renovation, & was informed that they exposed the original wood floors, which are beautiful. I would add a few charming touches like plants, and some framed art. I think Baht will be a success. Welcome to the neighborhood!

You know when you always look through reviews to see what’s good at a restaurant? I feel like you can’t go wrong with anything here. Everything was cooked with so much care and it shows. My friend and I ordered 3 entrees for the two of us (because we honestly couldn’t decide), thinking that we would for sure have leftovers. We finished it all. Portions were a good size too! Baht’s flavors keeps you wanting for more. The fish was crispy, paired with a refreshing mango salad on top. The moo dang was super tender and even the veggies on the side were cooked to perfection (crunchy and not soft). The crying tiger was my favorite though - couldn’t get enough of the dressing. Will definitely be back! Also don’t skip out on the drinks! Forgot to take photos, but we got Old Skool and The Rupert. Both were well-balanced without tasting too boozy or overly sweet.

I ordered a couple of minutes ago and I’ve wanted to give this place a try for a long time. Finally I could. I decided to order the crab fried rice and it was very good and I’ve tried other places that had crab fried rice but this one is top-tier. I love how it compliments well with the Thai chimichurri and how you have an option to put it on I didn’t put most of it because my husband wanted to try because he is not a fan of spicy stuff, but I am and it’s really good! I will be ordering again!

We had our baby shower here beginning of March on a Saturday afternoon. Mint, the owner, is very kind and worked with us to plan the menu and made us an adorable drink menu sign. We choose nine items, mostly appetizers, and two mains buffet style for our guests. The restaurant accommodated all 48 of us including a few young kids. Everyone raved about the food and drinks and had a wonderful time. Would recommend hosting an event here. We live in Jackson Heights and love supporting local businesses!

First off, Baht is owned by the family of the previous owners. We were told the previous owners still visit and help out from time to time. We were given the education behind the reopening along with the new menu items. It is a food collision of the diversity of the neighborhood, I understood. Service was phenomenal. We went the their lunch special. The vibe still gives Arunee, but with Baht’s own touch. I was in the middle of a work day or else I would have tried their lychee martini. I ordered a chicken pad thai and my wife ordered a tofu pad see eiw. Everything was delicious. We also tried their skewers and spring rolls. Their thai iced tea was not overly sweet. I would come again. I am coming back to try their steak.

Stop by if you’re craving Thai food with a local vibe. There are tons of other authentic Thai restaurants in Queens, but if you’d like a contemporary take on Thai, paired with a brilliantly inspired, and well crafted drinks menu, give Baht a try. This is my first time ever trying Thai food and I really enjoyed it. My friend invited me because this spot opened up recently in the neighborhood. An innovative and interesting take on what they call "New-Thai". They definitely knocked it out of the park. I highly recommend the Pla Tod - a whole red snapper (which is already deboned and filleted) topped off with this yummy Mango Salad and Thai dressing. We also had the shumai, which is their take on a Thai dumpling. And the calamari which was paired with a pink sauce. Writing this makes my mouth water because I am still thinking about that pink sauce!! And can I say - their cocktails!?! It was 90 degrees on a Saturday my girlfriend and I went in around 1pm and they had a weekend early happy hour special !!! The cocktails were so delightful and refreshing. And their dessert....the list goes on and on. Such a great place, will definitely be returning

Came for take-out to try the OG Pad Thai with Shrimp and a Thai Iced Tea. Very tasty and authentic. Beautiful restaurant too! Can’t wait to dine in soon to try their other dishes!

Incredible food and great cocktails, plus attentive and friendly service. Highlights were crab fried rice, mango with sticky rice, larb fries, red curry chicken. We will become regulars here!

Thinking of a not so common adjective to describe how AMAZING the food is, the service and atmosphere. Makes you feel relaxed and nobody will speak to you because everyone is trying to enjoy the food❤️❤️❤️

Took my family for dinner and had the most amazing meal!! The food is incredible and the service was so warm. There wasn’t a single dish I wouldn’t order again. The larb wings are incredible.

The salmon curry was incredible and the steak was so tender. The cheesecake was to die for.

I came here with my friends for dinner and that was so amazing fusion Thai foods. Plus the staffs were so nice and service-minded. Overall I love the vibes of restaurant, relaxing and enjoying.

We originally ordered this place for take out and ended up choosing to eat inside instead of what a great decision. Everything about this place is perfect, the food, the decor, the music. I love it when places have relaxing music in the background so you feel relaxed while eating not always turned up. Service is great and the food is so delicious. Highly recommend

Came here for the first time with my partner and two friends for a double date and it was awesome! First of all, the service was amazing. Bryant was so attentive and made some great suggestions on what to order. Everything he suggested was great and the cocktails he made were so delicious, I’m still thinking about their espresso martini. The food? Mouthwatering. Most notable were the papaya salad (had a nice kick towards the end), the empanadas, the crab fried rice and the roast pork plate. Every single cocktail we had was perfectly balanced.

Good ambiance, food and drinks are consistently good. Waiters are very attentive. I would say it's a bit costly

It was better, and prettier, before the remodel. That being said, the food is still pretty decent, and the service is great.

Meal was very delicious! This place recently opened up under new management and I was very excited to see it make a comeback. The menu is different, as well as the layout of the place which looks to be going for a simplistic & elegant style. The portion for the rice was bit small for the price ($16) but nonetheless it was still really good. The thai tea has an oatmilk base was really interesting (usually its whole milk) but i liked it! tasted very light. I’ll definitely be coming back as (arunee thai) was a place I enjoyed eating for such a long time. (4.5/5)

Food was fine, but rather bland, decent portions for the price, cocktail was tasty. Service was friendly and fast. Food was not good enough for me to go back, but if they could boost the flavors this could be a good place.

The remodel leaves you feeling empty of Thai culture. Was more culturally artistically inviting previously. A bit too modern and less traditional. That being said, the food was almost as good as Arunee Thai, but of course more expensive and less extensive menu. They no longer even offer Thai iced coffee. I would try it again, but not super excited to return. Makes me want to try other Thai restaurants in the area.

I have eaten here before with the previous owners known as Arunee. I ate here for the first time since the daughters of the previous owners took over. We ordered the same dish of Shu Mai (delicious) and Khao Pad Poo, (crab meat chunks with egg fried rice). I was so looking forward to this meal as it sounded delicious and it looked mouth watering. Unfortunately, it was extremely salty. I don’t mind a little to no salt, but it was so much it burned my lips and made us extremely thirsty. I will eat here again as I can’t judge on just one dish. The waiter was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. We ordered a non-alcoholic drink of lychee with coconut and it was delicious not extremely sweet but just right. So to sum it up, my only complaint was the amount of salt. After my initial visit I returned. I ordered the same meal and requested with no fish sauce. It was perfect this time!

Requested 3 dishes and 1 appetizer for a pick-up order. Came up to 64 + tax, ended up at 70 so I gave a 5 dollar tip. When I got home, realized they did not even include 1 piece of napkin or utensils. All 3 dishes were either too bland or too salty in the same dish, noodles tasted very old and mushy, some parts of the chicken had a funny taste to it. For one dish, it looked like they threw some chicken pieces into it after they tossed it in the pan. Paid 12 for empanadas with avocado aioli dip but just got some mayo. Very disappointed with this experience as we order Thai food all the time from various restaurants around this neighborhood and this was the worst. Not only the taste and quality but the portions were also lacking compared with the prices they advertise. Will not order again, especially not for this price.

I so wanted this new addition to the neighborhood to be good. But quite simply it's not. I got the standard Thai chicken green curry as a staple to gauge the rest of the menu. I was surprised to see a whole leg (dark meat) which I loathe. And the curry was tasteless. None of the delicious Thai flavors you would expect. Sorry guys, I thought you would be my new local but we were not to be. Unless the food gets better.

Pad Thai was sub par. Noodles were overcooked and they were the wrong type of noodles - more broad, usually the ones used for pad see ew. 15+ for the dish but they also charge 1 dollar for chilli flakes (which are usually free). Prices are very high for the neighborhood as well. Plus is the service. The man serving me was very kind and attentive.

I visited Baht and had a very mixed experience. I ordered a spicy Thai soup — I know it’s supposed to be spicy, but for my tolerance, it was overwhelming, so I decided not to have it. The waiter took a while to remove it (understandable since they were busy), and I ordered calamari instead, which was delicious. The rest of the food my mom and I had was also very good. The real issue came at checkout. They charged me for the soup, and when I said I wasn’t paying for something I didn’t eat, they still kept it on the bill with just a 30% discount. That’s not fair. I work in the hospitality industry myself, and I know that when a guest doesn’t like something, good hospitality means offering an alternative and not charging for the item. It’s about guest retention, not squeezing out a few dollars.

I have been coming to this place for many years and i loved the food it was amazing, i loved the service and atmosphere.. however they were closed due to remodeling. Today, I went for the first time and found out that they changed the personnel. It was the beginning of my disappointment...I went at 8:40pm and waited and nobody asked me anything, the bartender was busy chatting with someone and after waited for a while an employee approach me and I told him what I wanted and he replied they kitchen is already close...it closes at 9pm, even though it wasn't 9pm yet...unfortunately, when some business decides to hire people from other nationalities, it can ruin their reputation. They need to learn that they are there to provide a service and their arrogant attitude is not good for businesses. I also noticed their menu is not the same, there are fewer items available. My favorite dish was the Basil fried rice with chicken (extra spicy)

Horrible experience. The server was rude and disrespectful. The manager if that's what you call, has no manners. we were treated awful to the point we stop the order, said we will pay for the drink I had put my mouth and then she threatened us to call the police if we didnt pay for the food we didnt get served. I could not believe how she spoke to my aunt and I. This is not how Jackson Heights treats its neighborhood people. so upset and disappointed. I hope no one gets to experience something so dreadful and embarrassing.

Service: They have many inexperienced young staff who do not have proper customer service. I will not return. They didn't want my five-year-old daughter and me to use the restroom without showing a receipt, even though we dined there 10-15 minutes prior. The egregious mistreatment makes me wonder why they treated customers so poorly. Overpriced, too sweet pad thai and bland crab and pineapple fried rice; chicken satay tasted dry and overcooked.
