This is perhaps the best, most attentive staff I have encountered in a while, and I travel quite a bit. The food is excellent and wait times are reasonable. My only complaint would be that they don't offer smaller portions, which means that a to-go box is always a must (ate there two nights in a row). For someone who's traveling like me, and not at home, this presents a bit of a challenge. Perhaps they could offer lunch portions as well. We were there for dinner, but that's precisely when we eat smaller portions.

Great spot for dinner or lunch if you're in the mood for Colombian food! The portions are huge, I managed to finish my meal but I did go a bit overboard to do so. The Bistec Encebollado had a perfect amount of onions and was seasoned well. The rice and beans were not captured in the picture but tasted great as well. This place is great if you are hungry!

A true Queens Colombian experience right here. The venue has a lot of space, as I was with a party of 12 and we were comfortably seated upstairs. A lot was going on for a midweek evening, but not to the point where we couldn't have a conversation and discussion at our table. Service was quick and easy. I had a guava smoothie with milk that was just muaaaah along with a chicken yellow rice (not what it's called in the menu). All the cuisines looked delicious. We already pre-ordered before showing up. They even have a different route to exit out of the establishment, thereby reducing the possibility of crowding up space. I loved it.

Really enjoyed the food here. Chorizo and chicharron were delicious and flavorful. Skirt steak portion was huge and delicious but just needs more salt. Other than that we had an awesome lunch. I ordered the avocado salad, tostones, and a whole rotisserie chicken, and everything was delicious. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, the salad was fresh, and the tostones were crispy. The lady at the front was very kind, and the cook did an amazing job. As per what my partner says. The chicken was a la brasa but it was a bit cold and dry. Seemed like it was pre made and was sitting for a bit until ordered. I know this place for long time, first time I went there back in 2014 and it I wasn't happy with service but recently this year I went to eat at this place over 3 times and everything was great. The person I had an issue with is gone. My favorite dish is chicken and rice. Steak is also good, soup is delicious, but pork belly isn't that great, too sticky and hard. Food came fast and even super busy like 4th of July they still opened and handled things good.

There's always room for improvement. So I gave it a 4 star. The accessible seat is too close to the takeout line. The wait time was average. The store was extremely crowded. Someone with a child in the stroller didn't consider their child and the people eating. They had the child in the stroller at the accessible table while a family was eating. None of the staff said anything. The doors aren't automatic, so it's not really accessible. There are 2 double doors for entry and exit. The meat was well done and flavorful. The avocado salad was enough for 2 and fresh tasting. I didn't notice any overhead music. Just chatter from the customers. The price is average. Prices have increased everywhere since covid 19. The wait staff are nice and patient. I will return.

The steak was burnt and flavorless, beans did not taste good, very little salt or any taste. Service was lacking. Waited 20 minutes for someone to show up and even take our order, steaks came out first 10 minutes before rice beans, arepas and soup!?!? Then waited another 20 minutes for someone to come check on us after we were finished eating.

Good portioning of food, but it wasn't seasoned at all. I got the arroz con pollo with frijoles on the side. I also almost swallowed bones from both containers. There were so many. I've never had a container of beans with bones in them.

This place use to have great food back in the day, it was the best Colombian food in NYC. However, I no longer feel they sell quality food. Everything had a bad taste including the rice and beans which is something so simple to make. They give you big portions but it’s not worth the money. If you order Pargo Frito and like green lime on it, bring your own limones verdes, they only offer it with the yellow lime. For soups or seafood, most would prefer limones verdes. The service, on and off sometimes but keeping in mind that people or certain spots are in their own cloud. Lastly, be extremely nice with the waiters and always give out a good vibe, always smile anyways. Or you may be unaware what they put on your food if you're perceived to be not of their liking.

The manager and servers have no idea what customer service is about. They served me a flank steak (one of the most expensive dish) in less than 5 min, so naturally it had no seasoning. To avoid returning the item, I asked for chimichurri sauce, which by the way, comes with the dish, and the server failed to provide. I asked for some more to give the expensive flank steak some taste. The server brings me more. When the check comes, I am charged for the chimichurri. When I complained, both servers lie stating I was informed of the extra cost. When I ask to speak to the manager, he and the servers state there could have been nothing wrong with the steak, since I ate it all. Because of that reason alone, I was obligated to pay for the chimichurri sauce. Therefore, instead of being grateful that I tried salvaging a bad plate, I was charged extra AND embarrassed in front of other customers for eating the flavorless plate. I paid the bill but definitely no tip. This place focuses more on money than customers. No regard for keeping customers, only $$$$$. Horrible manager who made things worse, and allowed the female server disrespect me and my elderly mother. Never again will I visit this place. It's my own fault for returning to a place where the server had already overcharged me once and denied doing it on purpose. These servers cheat and lie, and management is worse. Be careful when the check comes!

I was born and raise in this area and been eating here for a long time on and off but Now I guess the cooks are different i bought a chuleta enpanizada and let me tell you it sure did NOT taste like one. It had spices that I have never tasted in any Colombian dish tasted so weird like i was eating Indian food. A very uncomfortable situation. My family likes to go there when ever it's someone's birthday, so last night we went to celebrate my sisters birthday and from the the get go it was just uncomfortable. First we had to stand in a corner because we had to wait to get seated it was 11 of us, that wasn't the problem. The problem began when they took us to the table and we where already seating down when a worker I'm guessing it was the manager asked us to move to another section because there was a party of 13 coming in not only that but they told us that we where gonna be divided and 4 of our party had to sit on another table. Mind you we got there first and waited to get the table. After that it was just uncomfortable I was trying to tell the guy that it wasn't fair we waited for the table with no complaints and when we finally got the table they wanted us to move. We got our food and just packed it to go we didn't even get the desserts for the birthday girl. We been going there for years but after this honestly we are just gonna stop going I've never felt so uncomfortable.

Ordered the Bandeja Paisa for take out. When I came home to eat it, I realized they had given me a rotten avocado in my food. It is puzzling for me to understand why would they put it there. It was so obvious it was black… I am not ordering from them again!

I’ve always been a fan of the food here—especially the Bandeja Paisa, which has been my go-to. The flavors are authentic, and the ingredients generally feel fresh. However, there’s been a noticeable shift lately that’s hard to ignore: the portion of rice has become excessive—easily enough for three to four people on a single plate. At $33.80 per dish, it’s starting to feel like the pricing is padded by loading the plate with cheap starch rather than quality protein or variety. When 70% of the meal’s weight is just rice, it raises questions about value. More than half of it ends up in the garbage. I came to enjoy a well-balanced meal, not to be overloaded like livestock. I’d love to keep supporting this place, but I hope they recalibrate their portions to better reflect the price point and the dining experience their loyal customers deserve.

I've been coming here for years and absolutely love the food, but I had an odd experience tonight. I ordered over the phone, went in to pick up my food, and as I was paying, the cashier kept insisting that I leave a tip. She repeatedly pointed out that I "should" leave a tip while signing the receipt, or if not there, then in cash. Tips are earned, and I believe they should be given for exceptional service, like when a server waits your table. But when you’re simply handing me my takeout, which I’m taking home to eat, that feels like the bare minimum. After I signed for no tip, I thanked her, but she didn’t respond. I could tell she was upset, which was uncomfortable. This has never happened before, and I really hope it doesn’t happen again.

Colombian restaurant on Roosevelt Ave. it’s two floors restaurant seems always to be busy I was guessing that food must be very good. It was a lot of staff that was just hanging out and chatting together in the corner. Not really friendly just careless. I got seafood chowder with salad and rice and beans. As you see in the picture there was barely any beans. When I finish I was waiting for my check at least 15 min when server was hanging out by bar . When I get check it was changed different then was on menu from $32.95 to $33.70 without letting me know. I guess they changed whatever they feel like it. So when you there make sure you check who much you get charged. They will try to charge more than they supposed to.
