It started with the best chips and salsa we've ever had! And it just got better from there: burritos, tacos, tostadas and a cheeseburger with fries. All delish! Next time we're starting our meal earlier so we have time for dessert!

On top of that, the food is excellent! I ordered the BBQ Chicken and it was delicious, tender, and juicy. Loved the sauce! The three people I was with also thoroughly enjoyed their food. You will not be disappointed in this place! Everything was excellent!

The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen pays attention to quality and freshness. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and prepared just right. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty off the grill or classic favorites with a twist, Nuevo delivers in a big way. The drinks were just as impressive. The bar staff clearly knows what they’re doing — cocktails were well-balanced, refreshing, and made with care. It’s a great spot to meet friends, unwind after a long day, or enjoy a lively night out. Service really tied the whole experience together. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. They checked in at the right times and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Overall, Nuevo Bar & Grill is a place I would absolutely recommend. Great food, excellent drinks, and a fun atmosphere make it a standout spot. I’ll definitely be back again soon

Been going here for over 25yrs. Haven't been in about 8, still great. The Salsa is the best! I highly recommend the Shrimp Tacos.

The warm chips and Salsa are fantastic. The Cadillac margaritas are tasty. But it's the staff that makes the experience worth repeating. Friendly, attentive and expeditiant. Loved the food, patio is great for dogs and enjoyed the conversing with the staff. One more time great salsa!

Great food and friendly staff. Consistently good food with a very good menu to suit lots of different tastes. The chicken tortilla soup is outstanding. The street tacos are great. Save room for the deep fried ice cream.

Have not visited Ramona since 2010. I was very active in the community from 1993-2010. Nuevo Grill & Cantina was a go-to spot. When in Rome, go to Nuevo Grill or something like that. For those that remember and loved Carlos Murphy's would appreciate Nuevo Grill. The owners came from Carlos Murphy's and opened this place in Ramona. The food is good and the chips and salsa is world class. I had the Nuevo Caesar with shrimp and my wife had the Nuevo Tostada with shredded chicken. Salads were big and neither of us were able to finish them. In fact, my wife commented that she must have received an entire chicken! Service is friendly and they have acres of parking. If in Ramona, give Nuevo Grill & Cantina a try. I know you will love their chips and salsa. Yum!

Nuevo is solid 9 out of 10 times and has great prices for their Cadillac margaritas, they definitely don’t skimp on the alcohol for the price. Staff are super friendly, and the food is almost always on point. Would be 5 stars but sometimes the food leaves a little to be desired, but it’s only an off day once in a while, definitely going to keep coming here for years.

Good food and fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help you. The decore is romantic. I would love it even more if they added more vegan options, however the veggie fajitas are pretty good and very filling. I would recommend!

I feel bad for the staff..as they are understaffed most of the time. One waiter, waits and buses the tables, mixes the drinks, serves and takes the orders...too much for 1 person. There is one waiter there that I love...she is there on Saturdays. She knows her regular customers and gives everyone excellent service. I go their for their chips and salsa. As long as the chips aren't over fried...they are the best in town! There fish tacos are excellent also, but pricey. Their prices are very high...even for a standard ala carte fish taco...$7. All in all...it's my to go spot for food in Ramona.

We were a regular there for years, now it’s not so regular. With COVID the quality of food and service varied. Understandable. Now they are mostly back in the groove, but doing irritating little things like charging for a bowl of chips, still included in any other Mexican restaurant we visit. Whatever they profit from that charge, I believe they have lost from reduced visits.

It was pretty good. My baby back ribs were kinda dry. But everything else great. My parents love the Mexican food there to!!

This last time was rough, it was a Friday night and we got seated quickly but after we asked for more time to decide what we wanted to eat, we sat and waited for our server to come back and take our order for an hour. I'm kind of torn in this review. On the one hand although the menu is typical for a Mexican restaurant. I only usually order the carne asada platter or the shrimp Caesar salad. Both are pretty good. But I don't care for how they flavor most of the other dishes. Some of their seasoning and sauces make me nauseous. And I'm not a picky eater. Our waitress was very personable. But considering there was only five tables and 2 bar customers the service was sub par. The staff spent more time talking with each other at the bar then taking care of the customers. We were served chips and salsa but still no place settings.We had to get our own napkins and silverware from another table. I've seen other reviews where they complained about oily chips. But it seems they make their own so that's probably why they are a little oily. They actually have good chips. Better then premade store bought. Their chip salsa is also good. Once again they were a little slow on drink refills. Didn't think much about it at first. Then realized it took 6 minutes to get a refill ( I didn't want to mention it so just waited to see when it would happen). Aside from that they do have a nice atmosphere. One of the more comfortable places to dine in Ramona. And the staff is very cordial. They just need to change how they flavor most of their menu and be a little more attentive to customer service. Hate to see what it would be like with a full crowd there. If they want to see how a great carne asada burrito tastes then they should go to Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant. Its that one in the San Diego country estates shopping center. It's a little hole in the wall type restaurant. Not really much atmosphere for dining in. But they make a great carne asada burrito. Some of there other items are ok but not great. But put that burrito in Nuevo Grill and then they have food to match their atmosphere.

I usually like Nuevo Grill but on the night of 7/26 had horrible service. I had been waiting to be seated, a waitress went by twice without acknowledging my presense. I walked over to ask about being seated and was told, "we'll be with you in a minute". Not how you treat a customer. Will say the food was very good. Had the shredded beef chimichanga.

The waitress refused to adjust the order and then argued with me about how their system works, which really doesn't concern me. It should be simple enough to take something like a scoop of rice off when a patron has dietary restrictions.

I went there the other week with my boyfriend and was not the biggest fan. We had to return the shrimp tacos since they tasted frozen (the manager informed us that they were) and got another fish taco instead. The fish taco and margaritas were delicious and the server as well as the manager were polite and professional. I ordered the asada burrito and it was okay. I would recommend getting drinks and chips but order tacos from a different place.

Food was just OK. Refried beans were a bit watery. Rice was good. Enchilada were a bit bland.

It was okay. I suggest if you love carnitas don't order it. The staff was good. I didn't bother taking a pic. Sorry.

It was especially odd because our booth was in a server’s section and she literally served the table in front of us and behind us…but not us!!! She had to walk past us to get to either of her two tables in that section and never even said hello. It was so awkward—as if she knew us, hated us, and was intentionally pretending like she didn’t see us! The server we ended up having was working a completely different side of the restaurant. This inevitably led to poor timing for everything else in our meal. 2 of us were done with our meal by the time the other 2 got theirs. Can’t say I blame the server we had, if anything we owe her for getting any service at all! Even the host brought out part of our order…can’t say I’ve ever seen that happen in a restaurant before. It’s very frustrating because it seems like the kind of place where the regulars get good treatment and you just get ignored. Dining out is supposed to be a treat. I left both of my visits just feeling like no one wanted us there. As far as the food itself, it’s alright. Chips and salsa are great, carnitas is excellent. Everything else is just okay. Drinks are inconsistent. The rice and beans stayed on my plate both visits.

I ordered the chicken enchilada plate. The flavors were delicious, however, they included very little chicken.. It’s the least amount of chicken I’ve ever had in an enchilada. I also requested light cheese, and it was covered with cheese. They knew they made an error, but did not offer to replace the order. I will not come back because of that.

Had reservation on Thursday October 31 at 6:30 p.m. arrived at 6:15 p.m. they had given our reservation to someone else, fixed a table for eight and we were mine, we juggled ourselves to make room for one more person and needed another chair which they said they would get but never did we had to get a chair. They gave us three menus we asked for more. Again never got had to get more for ourselves and when we finally got our food it was horrible some never got tortilla that came with the dinner in top of all this they sat us by the water fountain with clorine and it ruined two tops. A place I will never go back to with the service we received and I will not recommend to anyone. Hope you can straighten up your staff.

Food is outrageously priced & always found myself on to toilet after feeling God awful.....just yuuuuckkk. As also a previous employee I have noticed firsthand how this restaurant has been ran & definitely not to the best that it could be which is sad because it hinders not only the customers but also the employees as well. I have witnessed crooked intentions and lack of respect for the employees as well as the customers who come in to expect a nice dining experience. Just be aware of where you eat, & spend your time & money. If you're looking for a great authentic place for Mexican food keep traveling down Main Street for Casa Reveles and see Victor! He provides amazing service & makes one hell of a margarita!

Three times in a row and that place is still garbage. The food is only at best so so. The service is even by far worse. Shall I mention the price.... the prices are far beyond what the food is worth. All in all if you could place a negative * on this place I would rate it as a-100. So save your money save your patience and your time for somewhere else where it's better deserved and well spent than Nuevo grill

Food was great, service was trash... Lupe seemed border lined intoxicated and was mouthy towards associates Infront of our whole table. Super unprofessional. Other than that the drinks and food was amazing. Will be coming back but will request to be assigned by others.

Hello fellow Ramonians. This is one of the worst chicken salads I have ever had in my life. Yes in my life. I was on a diet and super hungry and I was ready to eat any salad. I was really disappointed that I decided to go here and I even told my wife, " why is this restaurant empty". The lettuce was brown and the chicken was under cooked. The second mistake I did was that I didn't take a picture to post it here. I do not write a lot of reviews as you can see but this will be my last experience at this restaurant. I mentioned to the server ' Perla " my concern and I hope she can pass it to the chef to improve other people's experience. But me never again.
