Super yummy breakfast burrito! Nice people too, fast service, super fresh salsa bar.

I've been a patron since they opened and I come in at least once a week. Their fresh ingredients, chips, hot sauce and salsa all made daily are irresistible. Owner and Staff are all friendly, wonderful people. My FAVORITE local restaurant!

Los Gordo's is where I go when I want a good and cheap lunch, thus the five stars. I feel it is the best deal for healthy food for cheap in the area. My favorite is the super tacos, or the vegetarian Taco which is a Super Taco without meat. They have a salsa and condiment bar where I can further load up my plate and leave very satisfied. Not quite as good as Taqueria Vallarta in Santa Cruz, but it's only 5 minutes away from my place.

Best taqueria in Aptos. We Love their Vegie Burritos. I like the Fish Tacos too. Their telephine to-go orders are pretty quick and they put chips in with the burritos. Salsa Bar is very good!

I've literally ordered the same asada quesadillas here since I was 5 years old. All I will ever order, it is the best thing in the entire area.

I came here at 12pm on Friday 2/23/2018 during busy lunch rush, with 10 people in my group. Despite being hectic, and my large group, the order was taken quickly and without confusion. We got our food very quickly with no mistakes and it was all delicious. I got a chicken burrito with jalapeno, I also saw a quesadilla at my table which looked amazing, and several other dishes that were all on point. They do accept credit cards, and they have beer!

This place, Los Pericos, there's a few that make a quality burrito, and I always prefer carnitas. I ordered the biggest one, the Deluxe burrito (guac, sour cream, cheese, etc,). When I got home I slapped it on my kitchen scale - I kid you not, 1.5 lbs! It was $13, but it's a great, monster-sized burrito, worth every penny.

This restaurant is our family staple -- consistently good and simple food, at good prices. The staff are efficient and businesslike (instead of being overly friendly), which is I think pretty standard for family-owned Mexican restaurants, and which works well here. We've also bought large orders for catering parties -- delicious as always. We love the restaurant!

My family has been frequenting this joint for 30+ years. The food is always delicious and high quality and all the staff are sweet and friendly. My favorite part (aside from how amazing the food is) is how fast their service is; I usually place a large order to feed four people and every time, without fail, everything is hot and ready to pick up within ten minutes. Definitely a place I see myself bringing my family in the future as well. Thank you Gordos, for being a huge highlight in my family's life.

So on one of our walks we just decided to walk in that direction and see what it was. We figured there were plenty of places to eat at Rancho Del Mar if we didn't like what we found over there. Delicious, with fat burritos (thus the name) and their enchilada plate is Soo good, but the place is small, and a little dated. Still worth every penny and they have good chips and salsa with your purchase

Currently available for dine in. New service table for take out is nice. Food is good, prices fair. Good selection of taqueria style food. Chips made onsite. Salsa mild to moderate.

This place has a really weird layout. If there was a fire, 50% chance no one is making it out alive. The food lacked any serious flavor. A Betty Crocker recipe will give you a tastier meal.

Not horrible but not great taqueria. My super taco was small and my husband's burrito had all the rice and meat on top with all the beans on the buttom. Worth driving out of Aptos for better Taqueria.

I get burritos for the family here every once in a while. We used to go to Sophia's for burritos until it closed. Los Gordos burritos are more expensive and don't taste as good in my opinion. This puzzles me because Mexican food (rice, beans, meat, cheese, guac, sour cream, lettuce, tortilla) seems to me pretty difficult to screw up. I always get the chicken burrito and it's pretty bland as far as taste goes. Another thing I don't quite like is that the burritos are very wet. The juice from the chicken and other stuff makes the tortilla soggy and it's just a mess trying to eat that thing with your hands. I always manage to get it down but I feel like I need a shower afterwards. I'm not a very picky eater so for me to say it doesn't taste great and it's a pain to eat is a big deal. The salsa is good and the chips are good also (but I always got more from Sophia's). Anyway, if you want a takeout burrito in Aptos your choices are limited and Los Gordos is convenient, the people are nice and attentive, and the food is edible so why not?

We visited this place for the first time yesterday. The staff was very polite and the place was clean. The food was just average though. The chips and salsa was good but I wish there were a few more options there. The only thing I did not like at all was the Guac.

The food is pretty good... Equivalent to the other Vallarta's. The prices are getting a bit out of control. 10 bucks for a burrito is kinda pushing it... But if I am going to pay 10 bucks for a burrito then why limit me to (2) 1 oz salsa cups? Pretty silly. I will stick with Vallarta.

Was visiting my step father at aegis for the weekend and decided I was hungry and in dire need of a drink. Took a stroll through the plaza and stumbled into this establishment. ordered 3 fish tacos and a margarita. Once I received my order after 45 minutes of waiting in the cold next to an unpleasant smelling trash vesicle. I was terrified of this concoction of mash. I took one bite of what i thought was a fish taco which tasted like a vermin meat of sort. Pounded the margarita and 1 minute later violently vomited on the ground passing out after i reached the end of the strip. Woke up 5 hours later in aegis lobby with a man woman hybrid staring over my pulsing body. Would like to try again with my extended family.

Used to have the best nachos in town. Now they have the worst nachos in town since coivd. Gave them 4 chances and my nachos were stale every visit. Totally unprofessional. Chips are always stslr, what does that tell you about a taqueria?

Haven't been here in over 15 years. After having dinner here last night, I think I know why. Food was unrecognizable and not sure if I even got the right plate... enchiladas. Service was prompt. Priced too high for what you get.

Food less than tasty, would suit american tastes. Chips are awful. We tried three dishes and none were interesting.

Okay Authentic Mexican food. Food needs more taste though. Dont like the fact that when you order to go and one of the item is a nachos, they first make that and sits there for 5-10 minutes getting soggy until the rest of your food comes out....2 tacos.

This place is usually good but today my chips were stale, and there was a large amount of water on my plate the made the crunchy tacos soggy before I got to the second on. Salsa and hot sauce are very good.

l had been craving fish tacos and since l thought their burritos were good l figured maybe the fish tacos too. Boy was l wrong! l mean can't even be called a taco the fish is just horrible no flavor horrible vegetables tomatoes, jalapeños and onion look old and horribly diced. The tortillas were somehow soggy and l won't be eating there period.

This is my third time trying food here and unfortunately it didn't get better. This are the worst chille rellenos I've ever had. They don't even try, put this on the container and directly to the microwave. The chips are from 3 days ago or its just these taste awful. Don't even waste your money... go somewhere else.

They don't season their meet much. Cool place but they could work on taste. They cook their meet all on the same grill. I have gotten meat that taste like tounge a couple times. I've felt sick the last couple times I've gotten food there. Last year it was a lot better

Ordered the bacon burrito for $15 which was supposed to be bacon, egg, cheese and potatoes and literally was mashed potatoes (who puts mashed potatoes in a burrito!) with bits of bacon, zero flavor and no egg in sight. Tasteless mashed potato burrito. Threw it away.

First and last time coming here. Over priced and tasteless food. I wouldn’t consider this Mexican food at all, it’s obviously catered to people who hate salt and flavor. $6.50 for a taco that had a half a chopped lettuce thrown on top. Also the girl taking your order is very rude,

Wow. What a terrible experience. My mother and I both ordered our food with modifiers. I asked for sour cream to be put on my burrito, and my mom asked for poblano peppers on her tacos. We were charged extra for both and they didn't add them. The front cashier girl was incredibly rude. She had a huge attitude with my mother. They forgot to put napkins into our bag, my mom went in and asked for some napkins and the cashier responded with, "there are napkins in the bag already. If you just want extra, here you go." There was nothing in our bag as far as napkins. My street style taco I ordered was so slathered in some kind of sauce it was soaked through and falling apart in the 30 seconds it took it open and start eating. Bad food and incredibly rude service. What a shame, Gordos.

The $9 carnitas burrito was a bit better but still dry whole beans and super chewy pork made it barely edible too (I ordered 2 of them) so $50+ Literally in the trash. I was embarrassed to serve to my co-workers, so disappointing. I considered returning for a credit but past reviews tells me they could care less so I won't bother and in future will just eat elsewhere. (1 star given for good Covid measures taken and chips and salsa were included and decent)

Bland, no cabbage or spicy mayo. And, unfortunately inedible. Not what I would describe as a fish taco. I guess I’m spoiled by better Mexican joints in this area.
