Ottimo ristorante con vista sul lago maggiore, piatti tipici con pesce di lago fresco e di buona qualità. Ottima anche la proposta dei vini. Possibilità di pranzare o cenare sia all’aperto sulla terrazza che all’interno. Personale gentile e cordiale. Prezzo non economico ma sicuramente in linea con la qualità del cibo proposta e con il luogo. Se volte passare un piacevole momento di ristoro ne vale sicuramente la pena.

Avevo mangiato in inverno all'interno ma all'aperto è tutta un'altra cosa. Servizio cordiale ed attento. Cibi ben presentati con una buona scelta. Lista dei vini immensa. Prezzo non proprio economico, ma se consideriamo tutti gli elementi che possono concorrere alla sua cifra, possiamo giustificarli. Da tornarci senza nessuna esitazione.

Do cinque stelle non potendo metterne 6. Spettacolare! La posizione è pazzesca, fronte lago. Il servizio è ottimo, la sig.ra alla reception è supergentile. Le camere sono nuove e se si ha la fortuna di avere la stanza fronte lago, vuol dire vincere su tutta la linea. C'è anche il ristorante subito sotto l'hotel (abbiamo mangiato davanti al camino scoppiettante). Torno appena posso.

Questa recensione è a nome di tutto il gruppo di cui faccio parte. Per il 30° anniversario della nostra associazione abbiamo pranzato presso il Ristorante Belvedere di Ranco e la scelta è risultata molto apprezzata da tutti i partecipanti. Dall'aperitivo al dolce tutto è stato perfetto. I piatti hanno soddisfatto sia gli amanti del pesce che quelli di carne, stessa cosa per la tipologia dei vini proposti. La strepitosa torta finale poi è stata oggetto di divertenti battaglie tra colleghi per il bis e per alcuni anche per il tris. Da parte mia aggiungo che ringrazio tutto lo staff che è stato molto cordiale e attento durante il pranzo e la Sig.ra Michela che mi ha consigliato durante i preparativi dell'evento . Per ultimo devo assolutamente menzionare il plus della stupenda vista sul lago che si gode dalla terrazza dove si è tenuto il pranzo.

Abbiamo avuto l’occasione di passare una bella esperienza di coppia con spa e cena inclusa grazie a una gift card che ci è stata regalata. Per utilizzare la spa viene richiesta la prenotazione, ciò permette completa intimità, nel nostro caso per una durata di 2h. Sono presenti sauna, bagno di ghiaccio o doccia caldo/fredda, idromassaggio esterno; disponibili anche tè caldi, acqua e piccoli snacks di frutta secca. È possibile collegare la musica alle casse tramite telefono personale. Per quanto riguarda la cena, non ci hanno fatto mancare nulla, il personale disponibile e cordiale ci ha chiesto se avessimo intolleranze o problemi con il menù proposto (in quanto compreso nella gift card). Il menù comprendeva antipasto con due assaggi, primo, secondo (erano presenti due scelte) e dolce. Effettivamente è sempre un piacere tornare dove si è stati bene: avevamo già avuto occasione di cenare al Belvedere con la stagione estiva.

È stato incantevole soggiornare in questo albergo. La vista lago era bellissima. Le camere sono grandi e pulite. Il personale molto simpatico e ci si sente subito al proprio aggio. La piscina è un po’ piccola ma durante il mio soggiorno sono sempre riuscita ad approfittarne senza che vi sia troppa gente. Rapporto qualità prezzo molto buono. Ci tornerò.

Having stayed in numerous hotels around the world, I can confidently say that I have never come across such an extraordinary level of service: 1. Geographically, it is situated in a breathtakingly green and beautiful area right next to a large lake (lake major). This location makes it an undeniable oasis of relaxation, and it also offers easy access to the islands in the lake. 2. The hotel itself boasts impeccably maintained green spaces that are truly exemplary. Every photo I took could easily be framed and displayed on a wall. My room was exceptionally beautiful, and when I opened the window, I was greeted with a scene that can only be described as a living and dynamic masterpiece of beauty. 3. While the hotel may not be a modern building, its Italian identity adds a delightful charm to the overall experience. I was glad that it wasn't modern because it allowed me to feel the authenticity of an Italian family-run business. 4. The hotel manager, fluent in English and French languages, (I don't know whether he likes to mention his name here or not) can only be described as an angel. I have never encountered such exceptional service in any of my previous trips. Not only did the staff adhere to all hotel etiquette, but the hotel manager also provided unwavering support in every situation that arose, treating me like a close friend. They went above and beyond, from giving a ride and providing me with printed maps for train routes to lending me a jacket on a cold day. Such unique and extraordinary hospitality is something I had never witnessed or heard of before. Disliked: none

Everything here is top notch and great price quality. We paid 180 EUR per night for room 1 which does not have the balcony on the lake but still has the view on the lake which was enough for us. Location wise you cannot be better you have the infinity swimming pool right next to the lake with the most stunning views it was really the best we will for sure be back. Great breakfast is also included with very good pastries and they also offer eggs, cheese and ham on demand. Get these extras that are complementary as they are sooo good! Could not have dreamt for a better place to make my proposal :) Thank you!!

Long awaited visit to the restaurant for wife's birthday. Amazing menu with really interesting dishes that didn't dissapoint. Tremendous amuse bouche and antipasto di lago. Very generous lobster risotto and faultless different cuts of lamb. My wife had the most amazing deconstructed prawn lasagne. "House wine" really nice but a bit pricy but I could have chosen something else! Quite contemporary dining room. Really friendly and perfect service. Not cheap but I thought very good value for a special evening out (actually cheaper than 2 tickets to see Eric Clapton in Milan on the same evening!). Will look forward to going back in the summer when we can sit on the terrace.

Beautiful setting, correct service, high level cooking. we’ve been going to this restaurant for many years, and I must say I like it better now that it has lost its Michelin stars. From a nice bread basket to the free starters, and onto excellently cooked seafood pasta and a superb cheek of veal, everything was perfect. The room newly decorated with seven tables very nice, of course in the summer outside on the splendid terrace is even better!

Il Sole di Ranco is a beautiful little hotel by the lake, with unique, antique and stylish looking rooms. The service is absolutely friendly and is happy to help you with any wish you might have. As Ranco may not be the place to be at the lago yet, it certainly is the terasse of the hotels restaurant, with its lovely view, and of course the restaurant itself. The kitchen crew offers the most delicious meals in the typical Italian 3-4 course style. The meals are modernly arranged, but consist of local ingredients, e.g. fish from the lake. Last but not least, the wine card is very impressive, too! Thanks for having us!

Nice location directly at the lago maggiore. From my room i had a good view over the lake and the small harbor. The room was large and clean. The equipment was old but not in bad condition, more like antiquities... romantic. I was there only for one night, but the breakfast was huge (seriously). Not a buffet, but everything you need on your own table. The Staff was very friendly. There is a hidden parking lot exclusive for the hotel, next to the harbor. From there you can walk through the nice garden, up-hill to the hotel. There is a beautiful terrace with some tables, with top view over the lake and surrounding hillside.

Presa per una notte stanza standard n° 7 al secondo piano Pro: - Stanza ben organizzata e gradevole - Materasso non troppo morbido, per me molto comodo - Bagno ampio e ben dotato - TV grande con possibilità di usare Netflix e YouTube Contro: - Abbiamo fatto un totale di 3 doccie in momenti diversi delle 2 giornate e l'acqua calda non era stabile in nessuna delle 3 - Era presente una ragnatela abbastanza grossa dietro la tenda della finestra, personalmente penso si tratti di una svista (notata da noi alla fine del soggiorno) perché tutta la stanza era impeccabile Cenato nel ristorante dell'hotel Cucina davvero di alto livello, prezzo medio altro ma giustificato dalla tipologia di cucina e dalla bontà dei piatti, che consiglio vivamente perché molto buoni, ben fatti e dalle quantità giuste, ottimo anche l'entrèe di polipo offerto, inaspettato ma gradito Colazione inclusa nella prenotazione era predisposta a buffet servito, possibilità di dolce e salato, provate le brioche piccole ma buone e sfiziose, crostata di frutta si vedeva che era fatta in casa ed era molto buona, assaggiato dolce al cioccolato bianco e zafferano devo dire buono ma lo zafferano era un po troppo predominante nel sapore. In conclusione vi consiglio caldamente di pernottare qui perché la posizione è ottima, le camere vista lago hanno una vista meravigliosa e sia il personale che la struttura sono di livello. Certamente io ci tornerò per un altro fine settimana sul lago

E un ristorante ottimo, io personalmente ho mangiato pesce di lago e devo dire che è veramente buono, gli altri si sono accontentati di magiare la carne, ottima anche la carne, vi consiglio di prenotare, buon appetito.

Pranzo sulla terrazza vista lago. Parcheggio interno. Rapporto qualità/prezzo buono. Porzioni adeguate. Buona scelta di vini. Discreta varietà di piatti della tradizione con prodotti del territorio. Buoni i ravioli al brasato e anche il risotto al pesce persico; gustoso l'agnello in salsa di frutti rossi e il petto d'anatra.

Ristorante davvero valido, cucina con sapori genuini e che testimonia una buona connessione col territorio. Ho potuto gustare degli ottimi tagliolini con il sugo di pesce, ben cotti, equilibrati nel gusto e con una giusta dose di pomodoro che non copriva ma esaltava il sapore del pesce di lago. Come antipasto invece avevamo preso uno storico: tra tutte le cose presenti le frittatine davvero da ricordare. Scoperto per caso ma merita di ritornarci. Il conto assolutamente in linea con la qualità e la vista. Edit: siamo ripassati oggi 04/2025. Confermo tutto con nota di merito alla discrezione del servizio. Alla prossima.

Bellissimo ristorante a Ranco a die passi dallo "stellato" e famoso IL SOLE. si mangia molto bene: pesce freschissimo e ben cucinato (sia di lago, sia di mare!). Buona la selezione di dolci e dessert, rigorosamente fatti da loro. Peccato per il prezzo: da centro di Milano!!!

È sempre un grande piacere pranzare in questo luogo, giornata piena fi sole, abbiamo pranzato sul terrazzo vista lago: patè di pesci di lago, pesce in carpione, agnolotti , gamberi con arancio e una favolosa crostata di castagne tiepida.. tutto ottimo!!! Ho prenotato una camera matrimoniale con vista parziale lago, è il soggiorno è stato molto molto apprezzato proprio a partire dalla vista. La camera era comoda, letto large, bagno grande con doccia spaziosa. A due passi dall'hotel si scende sul lungolago dove si può far due passi anche nel giardino pubblico oppure prendere un aperitivo. Il giardino è meraviglioso, una vista meravigliosa, noi abbiamo fatto colazione lì, con la compagnia bellissima del lago... Ma ritornando alla colazione :era ricca, cibi salati e dolci e proponevano anche yogurt per intolleranti al lattosio. Il prezzo è molto buono, per i servizi che fornisce e per la posizione che ha.. E noi non abbiamo approfittato di piscina e sauna. Il personale si è dimostrato disponibile,peccato che si erano dimenticati (e anche noi ci siamo dimenticati di chiedere) di darci chiave o codice per il rientro dopo mezzanotte quindi purtroppo abbiamo dovuto disturbare una signora che gentilmente ci ha aperto. Molto consigliato!

Sono stata lo scorso lunedì 17 ottobre con una amica e nonostante la data, abbiamo ancora potuto mangiare all'aperto e godere in tutto relax di un bel sole tiepido, buon cibo, unito alla magnifica vista del lago. Conosco questo ristorante/albergo da sempre, infatti già da bambina con i miei genitori quando passavamo una giornata al lago era per noi una tappa fissa di ristoro...oggi decisamente più vecchia ci torno con piacere...lo consiglio assolutamente...

This is the second time we come to the restaurant. The food and service remain at top level. If the weather is nice, they prepare the terrace and the view is just amazing. They have an interesting wine list, with a good selection of Piedmont's top producers.

Sono stata al ristorante, carino in tutti i sensi, per la qualità del cibo discreta, un po’ troppo, si paga la visita.

Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante. L' ambiente è raffinato. Gli antipasti "storici" sono veramente pesanti; sia i patè, ma soprattutto le frittatine, che di fatto sono delle porzioni di torte salate. Sono un po' dei mappazzoni. Il filetto di persico era pieno di spine. Visto il costo elevato, mi sarei aspettata maggiore qualità. Lo sconsiglio.

Uhm, uhm, uhm... I must say that I had expected more from this renowned restaurant in Ranco. I believe they lost the stella Michelin. Gazebo was dirty overhead, which was surprising especially considering that we were at the beginning of the summer season. Portions were not generous (nearly amuse-bouches). Panorama is typically spectacular and, naturally, the view contributes to the dining experience and the cost! Sadly the photos attached do not do the view justice as it was a disappointingly cloudy evening...

Prezzo decisamente spropositato per quel che il menù effettivamente offre. Bella la terrazza con vista sul lago e personale preparato e attento. Abbiamo mangiato tra umidità e moscerini, tipico delle zone di lago. Porzioni piccole. Pagato 60€ a testa. Preso un antipasto un secondo e un dolce condiviso oltre a del vino (3 bottiglie di falanghina pagate poco meno di 100€).

Posto discretamente bello camera pulita letto comodo Abbiamo preso la camera con Jacuzzi doppia .... Peccato che al momento dell'utilizzo ha cominciato a fare schiuma da tutte le parti, abbiamo fatto presente alla reception che ci ha risposto faro presente...va beh Approposito di reception non c'è mai nessuno sono occupati con il ristorante. Se volete uscire alla sera sappiate che al ritorno non avrete più posto nel parcheggio perché occupato dai clienti del ristorante

Sono andato al ristorante ma mi sono subito accorto che era molto lento il servizio. Inoltre mi hanno anche insultato.

Premetto che il posto è incantevole, vista mozzafiato è si mangia davvero benissimo. Le due stelle sono per la scarsa attenzione ai clienti dell'Hotel. Nel prezzo erano compresi PARCHEGGIO, PISCINA E SPA. Nella reception non c'è mai nessuno e si è costretti ad andare a chiamare sempre qualcuno al ristorante. Quando il ristorante è pieno scordatevi il parcheggio (che pure ti dichiarano compreso nel prezzo). La piscina non abbiamo potuto utilizzarla perché alcuni clienti hanno piazzato gli asciugamani e quando se ne sono andati li hanno lasciati sulle sdraio come fosse una loro proprietà esclusiva. Staff inesistente. Abbiamo chiesto della SPA (dichiarata compresa nel prezzo) e ci è stato risposto che non sapevano se funzionasse perché aggiunta da poco! Stanze bellissime ma pulizia non troppo curata. La nostra stanza, vista lago incantevole, era piena di ragnatele e, soprattutto, ragni che mi hanno pure morso. Ho fatto presente la circostanza e mi è stato risposto con una sufficienza disarmante che sarebbe stato fatto presente al personale che si occupa delle pulizie. Peccato non aver letto le recensioni precedenti che già segnalavano questa problematica. In conclusione... Se volete andare a cena mangiando bene e pagando comunque cifre sopra la media ve lo Consiglio. Se dovete pernottare con la speranza dei servizi che vi descrivono all'atto della prenotazione allora lasciate ogni speranza o voi che entrate. Peccato, non ci tornerò di sicuro.

Siamo stati con amici e purtroppo ci troviamo tutti d'accordo sull'accoglienza sconveniente e a dir poco maleducata della titolare. Arrogante e costantemente infastidita. Un colonnello delle SS nei confronti delle due povere ragazze in sala che non riuscivano nemmeno ad offrire un sorriso. Si sono sentiti tutti NON ben accettati. Io dico che la signora dovrebbe lasciare spazio a chi ha voglia di regalare un sorriso ai propri clienti. Signora. È davvero stata una amara delusione.

Cena in coppie. Niente da dire sul posto che è molto carino e con una bella vista..ma il servizio veramente pessimo, la cameriera (forse la titolare) è stata scortese in modo imbarazzante. Con molto dispiacere devo dire che Mai più quel posto è sconsiglio assolutamente. Stasera eravamo lì con la mia famiglia ma devo dire che rischiato molto.essendo tollerante al aceto ( la 1 cosa che ho chiesto al cameriere prima di mangiare se ce aceto del piatto anche minimo perché io sono allergico e mi hanno assicurato che non c'era.pultroppo sul menu non è scritto nemmeno.invece dopo appena mangiato il antipasto cominciato avere forte crampi alla pancia,nausea,e senso di debolezza.alla fine serata dovuta andare al servizi 5 volte con forti dolori oltre vomito.) E che poi un altra cameriere confermata che il piatto conteneva aceto .oltretutto abbiamo aspettato 50 minuti per uscire con il primo.ma ovviamente la cena e stata rovinata.consiglierei di cambiare personale perché tutto tranne professionisti. E uno po rischiare davvero se non informano esattamente. Il menu con pochi scelta. Servizio igienici unico per uomo e donna.un esperienza da dimenticare
