Have you ever had a Scallion Pancake Taco before? 🥞🌮 Here’s your chance! 😋 @brochette_dumpling_and_grill is a must try spot with Asian eatery dishing up Amal plates including dumplings, skewers, and ramen. They have such an extensive menu and delicious yakitori that it’s a great place to hang out and have a good time with friends! Service is super friendly and we love the space!
Incredible service and fun atmosphere! The restaurant is beautiful and the music inside made it feel modern and upscale as well. We ordered many different items for lunch and our total came out to about $70. My favorite was the dumplings in chili oil and the chicken wings. We also ordered the bone broth pork ramen, The dim sum sampler, and the shrimp, pork and chive dumplings.
We had a good experience at Brochette Dumpling and Grill on Main Ave in Redwood City. The ambiance is lively and fresh — with upbeat music, beautiful wall decor, comfortable chairs, and nicely set tables. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly quiet, but a few more people came in as we ate. Service was friendly and quick. We tried a variety of dishes — the dumplings were solid, and the skewers were tasty. We especially liked the shrimp sui mai, chickem meatball and the chicken thigh skewer with wasabi. Just a heads-up: the chicken wasabi does pack a punch! The pork soup dumplings were delicious, and the shrimp and pork siu mai were also a highlight. Would definitely come back to try more!
Had an absolutely wonderful dinner at brochette dumpling. We ordered the coconut shrimp, spicy chicken scallion pancake, xiao long bao, and pan fried pork bao. Prices were great and every item was so delicious! The ambience and service were excellent too. Iris, our server, was so warm and friendly! She made our experience a memorable one. Loved the vibe and choice of music as well. Highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back :)
Authentic Chinese cuisine. I never had raw octopus until today. It is the taste of the sea, absolutely delicious. The veggie rolls were so good. The shrimp scallion pancakes were delicious as well. Their lychee sake and yuzu sake are probably one of the most flavorful and delicate drinks I have ever had. The seafood congee was really good. Their green tea cheesecake is amazing. My friend had the ramen with quail eggs, he said it was amazing. Awesome restaurant!!
This restaurant is big on flavor and service! So impressed with the food quality. We enjoyed chicken and corn dumplings, chicken wings with an incredibly delicious sauce, kimchi rice ball, coconut shrimp cooked to perfection and a melt in your mouth sesame cheesecake dessert. All of the sauces served were amazing. We ordered a bottle of Dassai 39 Junmai Daiginjo sake. The 39 was clear and smooth with a complex botanical nose. Delicious! After selecting our bottle of sake, the server presented a tray of glasses from which to choose your favorite. The staff served in a beautiful sake dispenser that cools the sake while not watering it down. The whole experience was top notch. If you are a sake lover you must experience this. If you’re not, you should try it. Best dinner experience ever and it wasn’t over priced.
We came and had a delicious ramen dinner. Couldn't help trying the house special, the pork soup dumplings, which were extraordinary in taste and very good. Tasty Japanese beers and custard bun desserts.
My friends and I went here for dinner on a Sunday evening after visiting a friend who was hospitalized at nearby Kaiser. The menu has a great variety of food. Our waiter was very friendly and gave us great recommendations of what to order. The food came out quite fast and all of it was very good- especially the chicken karaage. We look forward to going back to try the other items. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Incredibly tasty food! Amazing staff and great price for the Bay Area! I can’t believe I was sleeping on this place for so long! Highly recommend it!!!
Extraordinarily tasty Chinese-Japanese-American joint. If you're looking for sushi, they don't have it, keep walking. But if you're looking for a combo of ramen with rich tonkatsu broth, amazingly tasty tiny grilled kurubota skewers, handmade dumplings and xiao long bao with good cold beers that are half off during 4-6 happy hours - THIS IS YOUR SPOT. Kid friendly without resorting to chicken nuggets and fries. Even my picky 7yo loved the spot. My adventurous 9yo chowed down on the chicken heart skewer. 10/10. So glad they are here. Service was fast, J-pop on play, serviceable selection of beers, wines, and sakes.
I went here with my grandparents and OMG IT WAS AMAZINGGGGG!!!! I actually needed to thank the chef because of how good it was holy moly I got a sparkling oolong iced tea and it genuinely tasted like falling in love I will have DREAMS about this restaurant On top of the food itself, the staff were incredibly friendly and funny too! Atmosphere was great, good wait times, and really cute decor. 11/10 would recommend every single time.
Such a gem! Attentive and thoughtful service. Great vibe for a dinner with friends, colleagues and family. Beautiful decor, cups and utensils, good attention to details Wide selection of food from Japanese izakaya, ramen, Cantonese dim sum to Shanghainese dishes. Every single dish I tried exceeded my expectations. Ingredients were fresh and cooking excellent. I’d say they are among the best Izakaya in this area. Will surely be back!
Kind and efficient service. Delicious food in small-but-shareable portions. Very pleasant, mellow vibe.

We came here after the Barbie movie and I'm so glad we did!! Everything was delish but the green onion pancake and grilled octopus were my favorites!! We tore into the har gow so quickly that I didn't even get a picture until we were almost done! Great, friendly service and not too crowded when we visited (we came pretty late though). Definitely recommend.

Great food and awesome people! We sat at our usual table, Iris and her staff took care of us! We ordered the shrimp and pork siu mai, soup dumplings, coconut shrimp, chili wontons, potstickers and must try the scallions pancake taco. Fire!!
A solid dim sum place with a Japanese twist. The food is really solid. They have some really amazingly unusual Japanese beers. Like matcha IPA. So good. Love this place.
Tried Brochette Dumpling and Grill today and everything was really good. I had a variety of skewers, wontons, fried oysters, Mongolian dumplings, and the house special shrimp pancake—everything was delicious and fresh. What I loved most is the spicing: it’s not heavy or overpowering, and you can actually taste the different flavors in every bite. Great experience overall, and I’ll definitely be back.
BEST SPOT EVER! We came here yesterday evening with my husband and his friend. No wait was the reason why we walked it. The cleanliness and atmosphere of the restaurant was on par. Our server was Iris and Tessa also helped us. They were amazing and super friendly. We chose a lot of the items on the menu and was not disappointed. Probably 10+ items, Iris was happy to explain everything to us and we tried a few different types of Sake. All and all we ate there for over 2 hours and never felt rushed. You must try the shrimp pork and chive dumplings. If you are looking for a sweeter sake try Yuzu Sake! Can’t go wrong to finish with the green tea cheesecake. I don’t like cheesecake too much but this was so light and creamy :) This place can be affordable, but we did go all out with 3 bottles of sake and 10+ meal options. So worth it!

Must try🍽️ Sparkling uji matcha iced tea (White strawberry ) - I am not a marcha fan but this drink wins!! Pig shaped buns ( custard filled ) dessert- it could have been better if they had salted cream. - 10/10 for presentation tho Skewers and cucumber salad weee good too. The portion size is small as compared to the price. Overall.. good experience. The food tastes delicious and the server was super sweet!! Good for (veg) appetizers!!

Rating: 3.95/5 We stopped by this spot in Redwood City for a quick snack while exploring the area. The menu was extensive, but we opted for appetizers since we didn't have time nor the stomach for a full meal. Service was good, and the food and drinks arrived in a reasonable time. Lychee Sake ($12): Beautifully presented with a large orchid garnish--delicious and sweet. I'm not a sake fan but this one I would recommend! A5 Japanese Wagyu Skewer ($19): The best item that we tried here. Wagyu was cooked nicely so that the meat was juicy but not too fatty. Chicken Skin ($5.50) & Fresh Water Eel/Unagi Skewer ($6): Average.
The food is decent, but the portions are ridiculous for the price. For example, the scallion pancake was $8 for a serving the size of my hand. For the same price you can buy at least 5 pancakes close to double the size at 99 ranch (not a fair comparison but the sentiment is the same). The same goes for the other dishes we ordered. Although the flavors were good, the tiny portions left a bad aftertaste, especially since they weren't cheap either.

This is one confusing place. I have no idea what they are going for - whether it be Japanese tapas, yakitori, dim sum or everything in between. And in that confusion, I don't think anythink is really nailed. And with the price they charge as the cusomters wander around in their minds chewing on a mixture of food without a storyline, they forget how ridiculously expensive each dish is. At least when you spend on Costco, you are surprised about the price but you walk out with a lot. At Brochette, you leave confused what all was so "expensive". At some point in the past, someone must've had an idea to do phenomenal, high quality Japanese tapas and serve it in a hip East Asian cocktail/beer bar setting. I can see vestiges of that vision. But it has gone really astray. First, in a high quality Japanese tapas place, you do not serve a hamachi carparccio that is literally frozen. 4 pieces of frozen ice hamachi for $17. And then you get this scallion pancake designed like a taco with ground yakiniku beef. Again, brilliant in concept yet a single piece for $10. The dim sums were quite good surprisingly. The xialong bao's weren't overwhelming with grease and I couldn't tell whether the hargow, siumai and the chashu bao was made at the restaurant or purchase frozen from somewhere. Either way, it was pretty good to accompany beer. What really knocked everything over the fence was the ribeye steak on a hot stone. $38 for a cardboard chewing ribeye experience - probably had to be of the lowest beef grade - where it is served on a hot stone so it keeps cooking. Think about it. You order medium rare and it comes out medium rare, only to be well done by the 3rd bite. Why? Why not just warm the stone just a bit? Why even a stone? I can absolutely see that the place means well. But this place is rapidly falling apart. There are too many tapas, sashimi, dim sum places around the Bay Area for folks to fall into this pitfall. Won't be returning.
