Opinions de Iron Age Rego Park
Nathan, our server, was absolutely amazing! He was attentive, listened carefully, and brought everything we needed in a jiffy. I honestly don’t know how he remembers orders without writing anything down — impressive! His service was truly stupendous and made our experience at Iron Age well worth it. He had to go on a 30-minute break, and during that time we were assigned another waitress. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t quite the same. Our fire went out for about 10 minutes before anyone noticed, and there was also another waiter who didn’t seem very welcoming. It slightly affected the experience. That said, we truly adored Nathan! He was bubbly, friendly, attentive, and genuinely joyful. I even told him how glad I was when he came back from his break. Give this man a raise — he absolutely deserves it! I hope everyone gets to experience his hospitality. Thank you, Nathan! 👏
The beef brisket was wayy tastier than their own soy sauce beef steak. It was just too sweet for me. I did ask for some extra Jalapeños on the side to mask the sweetness. This is my second time here. This time the service was much better. My waitress was Lama, I hope I spelled her name right! She was so patient with me and definitely gave me great recommendations. Great service, great drink, good food. I would come back alone for the brisket, steamed rice and the server.
The food here is delicious! My favorite is the Iron Age soy steak and the salad. Ths rice cakes were also really good. The restaurant is also really big and I feel like there’s always enough seats for everyone even if you don’t make a reservation. The longest I have to wait is less than 10 minutes. Service is great too! All the waiters are nice and here to help!
I have been to this establishment multiple times. I truly value the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff. I returned today with my family and my waiter, Damon, went above and beyond to offer a great dining experience. Damon’s positive demeanor added to the overall experience. Highly recommend!
This is my second time here, and everything was great. Mason was my server and really went above and beyond with his friendly demeanor and great suggestions. I would recommend this spot to anyone based on the atmosphere, food and amazing service!
I had a really good experience here, I dined here a few times with my family members and it was a good experience, Dolma, Joe, Phillip were my servers when I brought my friends. The food came out fast and the servers were very attentive and made sure I got everything I needed. The food was delicious. I also had a few drinks at the bar including the espresso martini, Storms a Brewin, Coconut Margarita, Henny Tamarind and the espresso martini. Overall, great experience and I recommend to others. The must try are the top blade, seasoned steak and iron age soy if you like steak.
My husband dine at Iron Age repeatedly for a couple of years now. Food is always PERFECTION, place is always busy and just very fun. Staff is friendly and efficient. Tonight we were served by Nathan, he was so thoughtful of our children, mostly our 2 year old, being careful he never got too close to the hot table. Shared a bit about himself and he’s also a parent! He seemed very personable, genuine and overall delivered great service. Keep it up Nathan!! You made our outing very pleasant!!!
Cj i believe that was my waiters name was an amazing waiter and brings such a positive energy. He’s super attentive, friendly, and makes sure everyone is happy and comfortable. He checks in at the right times, gets orders right, and handles everything so smoothly, even when it’s busy. You can tell he really cares about his job and about people having a great experience. He’s hardworking, respectful, and definitely someone who makes you want to come back. 10/10 experience
Iron Age is my go-to Korean BBQ spot! The food is fantastic, with marinated meats like bulgogi and brisket that are always full of flavor. The lively atmosphere makes it perfect for any occasion. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service from Nathan. He’s knowledgeable, friendly, and always ensures everything is perfect. If you’re in the mood for great food and top-notch service, definitely check out Iron Age and ask for Nathan!
I have been here quite a few times and I have to admit that I love it! The staff are super friendly and helpful with the cooking. They have a salad with a spicy dressing that is to DIE for! The choices of meats is excellent and I highly recommend the Iron Age Soy Beef Steak is absolutely fantastic, and so is the Spicy Squid. The place isn't too loud so you can definitely talk while cooking.
The place is nice and clean. The food is absolutely AMAZING. We literally eat here every week because of how good quality the food is and to top it, the SERVERS are hella attentive and fun to interact with, specifically Mason and CJ. As soon as you sit down, they serve you w the sides and sauces and take your order. The food gets served really fast as well. Joe, the manager, is really cool too. I definitely recommend this place to go on dates or as a group.
I recently had a truly fantastic experience at Iron Age, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere was lively and the food was incredible everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked beautifully right at our table. However, what really made the evening special was our server, Danny. He did an amazing job! Danny was attentive, incredibly friendly, and provided top-notch service throughout our entire meal. He was quick to refill our drinks, check on our table, and offer suggestions. The combination of great food and Danny's exceptional service made this a five-star dining experience.
This was my first time here . All I have to say is “WOW!” this place is amazing ! The staff was very attentive with everything ! Our waiter Lama was super fantastic! She was super sweet and patient with us ! Her service was one the best ever experience! Thank you so much ! Definitely coming back !
We came here on an early week day so there were no wait line. You can first choose two types of meat, and then after you finish, you can then order a second round of beef (also two choices). I personally loved the pork belly the most. The waiter was very attentive and helped us watch over and grilled the meat. Banchans were phenomenal, especially the rice cake and steamed eggs. They played kpop music videos on all the tvs, personally not a K-pop fan but it could be great for people who are into that.
Juicy, flavorful K-BBQ! The meats are tender and well-seasoned, the dipping sauces and banchan are great, and the japchae is a standout. Lively vibe with fun K-pop music. Service started a bit rough—our first (male) server felt rushed and a little curt—but once he went on break and a female server took over, the experience turned around: warm, attentive, and friendly. I won’t dock too many points for that.
If you're a meat lover, Iron Steak House is a must visit! The place is clean, stylish, and has a great vibe. The service? Top notch. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and make sure you’re well taken care of throughout your meal. The best part? It’s all-you-can-eat for 90 minutes so come hungry and get ready to enjoy a non-stop flow of perfectly cooked meats, sides, and more. Every bite was juicy and flavorful. The variety and quality definitely impressed me! Highly recommend this spot whether you're celebrating or just craving a hearty meal. Great value, great service, and an experience worth repeating.
Regarded by me and my family as one of the greatest steakhouses that we've been to. Food is great, service is really good. Asked the guy when Iron Age Korean Steakhouse was founded, and told me that actually they started in Duluth,Georgia, but expanded across the country, having locations in D.C, VA, and MD. Adding 5 stars for the atmosphere because I think most will like it, there are many projectors casting K-Pop music videos, which is not really my thing, but as I said, most people will actually like the overall vibe. I have to mention that one of the highlights of the restaurant is the way they serve the food. The stove for your choice of meats is literally right in front of you. Servers bring the food raw to put in your designated stove (which is connected to your table). Final Rating for me is 11/10. It was that good.
My server name was minyoung L ( Nathan ) And let me tell you. What an amazing guy! If I see him running this place in a couple years from now ! I wouldn’t be surprised 😱 Very welcoming. Very knowledgeable. Very kind and patient when attending my family and I ! Highly recommend coming in to just check him out ! This made the experience of this place unforgettable because we all know. The place might be great but if you got bad service no one wants to go back! But this guy is the man with the plan! Makes the dinner experience amazing! Please promote him
We had been eyeing Iron Age in Rego Park for a while and finally decided to give it a try. We were craving Korean BBQ and it seemed like the right time to go. It is an all you can eat setup for a flat fee of around $30, with roughly 90 minutes to work through as much as you want. I will be honest — I have mixed feelings about the time limit format. At that point it is not really all you can eat, it is all you can eat within a window. The other consideration is that the meats cook at their own pace in the BBQ pit, which naturally slows things down regardless of how hungry you are. That said, my wife and I were both satisfied by the end of the meal. We ate our fill and left happy, which is ultimately the goal. The food was genuinely good — good enough that I actually enjoyed this meal more than some of the higher end Korean BBQ spots I have visited. That says something. I will be back. The value is solid and the experience delivered. Though I have to be honest — nothing in this city touches the hole in the wall Korean BBQ spots in Flushing. Those are in a league of their own.
Been coming to Iron Age since they’ve opened! Food is always fresh and seasoned ready to be cooked. Drinks and serves is great. Today we had Minyoung L (Nathan) as our server. He was great super attentive, made sure we had everything we needed & helped us end the week on a good note. I would definitely recommend coming to eat and share a meal here with family and friends
I really liked Iron Age and thought the restaurant was very unique from its K-pop music to the Hawaiian bulgogi. My waiter CJ was lovely and I do think he helped make the experience even better. Most of the food was quite flavorful and tasty but some meats(Hawaiian bulgogi as an example) were also quite heavy on fat. Overall, I would definitely come again and I really liked the restaurant.
This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The vibe and décor were pleasant and created a comfortable dining atmosphere. There is some room for improvement in service. Our server (Crew 26 on 2/25) seemed a bit rushed while explaining the cooking order, which made it slightly difficult to follow. The food was a little on the savory/salty side for our personal preference, though others may enjoy the stronger flavor. We also noticed that ice popsicles are available for an additional $2.50 at this all-you-can-eat restaurant, and the price was clearly listed. As we were leaving, I noticed on their screen that staff are encouraged to promote the popsicles to customers. While some guests may not mind the extra charge, we personally felt it was a small surprise given the all-you-can-eat format.
I’ve been to this Korean BBQ buffet several times, and overall it’s still a decent place to eat. However, compared to before, I feel that the portion sizes have gotten smaller. Even though it’s technically all-you-can-eat, the portions feel more limited, and since grilling takes time, it can slow down the overall dining experience. The side dishes are okay, nothing outstanding but acceptable. That said, I want to give special recognition to our server, Eggi T. He was energetic, friendly, and very attentive. There are still some great staff members who come and go, and Eggi T was definitely one of them. While some staff didn’t really change the grill or check in much, Eggi T consistently did and made a genuine effort to provide good service. His attitude and work ethic truly improved our dining experience. Great service like this really makes a difference.
My actual rating is 3.5. I think 3 is too low, but google didnt let me give 3.5 rating. So here is what I like from this place. Huge, many capacity for any type of group size. Second. Their soju cocktail, yummy. My man and I order mango soju, and its fantastic !!!! Also their jap chae. Delicious. Now, what I dont like : 1. Most of their meat too thick. I don't know, i think this place the thickest meat I ever had so far from korean BBQ i been to. Even their pork belly too thick, not good. 2. Their kimchi. Euhhhh. One of the worst I ever had from Korean bbq. I hope they will serve better kimchi. 3. Their steam eggs too. This is the first korean bbq in nyc I ever been to that brought us raw steam egg and the server put the steam egg on to the grill table. Usually korean bbq cook the steam eggs on their kitchen and bring to customers the cooked one. 4. No birthday discount. This is the first time all you can eat type of asian food. Either korean bbq, chinese buffet, japanese buffet, etc that not giving birthday discount. Not so asian. So. Thats from me. I dont think I want to coming back here again if no improvement from them.
I am very disappointed about this place my family and I had always been coming to Iron Age for two years now and we’ve never had this experience before, our server Amy was horrible no service. She would drop the meat take our order and then disappear for a very long time we had to keep asking another server for many things and we felt bad because he was not even our server. She did not offer us water we asked two times We waited very long time for us to get the second round of our side orders we had to ask a different server and that’s not the worst part she still had the audacity to add the tip on the check? We spoke to the manager and instead of understanding said they drop the meat and we are responsible for the rest! So you’re telling me am supposed to cut and adjust the fire temp for the meat every time we need to and bring my own water? Might as well stay home sir. Very disappointed with the costumer service we received and we never interacted with “Amy” since she never said a word
First things first, our waiter was very friendly and attentive but Right off the bat, as soon as I walked in, there was an off smell in the air, what kind of smelled like dirty water or a wet rag. The atmosphere was cool, they had projectors facing every wall in that room. The food was good but I wasn’t a very big fan of the sauces they provided.
