It's been a minute since I've been to a Panda Express. Like pre covid a long time ago so when I saw this spot around Woodhaven, I figured, why not? I'll check it out to see what it's like. I have before in Queens Center but it was nothing special to make me want to go back. As wide as the place looks it's fairly narrow but it makes for a good line to choose what you want from the restaurant. The staff were pretty receptive for a fast food joint so that's actually a plus on their end. My lunch was a side of Fried Rice along with Orange Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken and it was pretty good. Had all of that with an egg roll and it filled me up. Price of it is a tad on the steep side, all of what I had plus a soda was almost $20 but you could get a modest meal here for about half the price. Solid location with workers who do a solid job of serving you as well as prepared food meant to delight. I have to knock a star off the atmosphere because it's kinda basic but it's a fast food joint so expectations be damned.
Food here always has good flavor pricey but worth it. Service can get slow if you go during the rush specifically weekends. Employees were all polite and doing their best as it got confusing for them at times. Atmosphere has changed no longer looks open and airy with two large screens upon entering. Typical fast food place in my opinion. Seating area sticky and messy so bring clorox wipes if you plan to sit for lunch or dinner. Not for Karen's who are in a rush. Will return for take out again.
I had a positive experience at the Panda Express on Woodhaven Boulevard. The restaurant was clean and has large and small tables, which allow you to sit and enjoy your meal. The food was delicious, and the service was great.
It is a good store or they have very fast and they always have everything super hot and fresh, I have gone a couple of times and I have never had any problems. I love the orange chicken🍊🍗 the chow mein the fried rice. I always order a big play with everything. Anna soda and I love the small cookies that they give you I always ask for extra. 🍛🍱🥟
Great food and even better service! Romar was outstanding—friendly, welcoming, and made the visit a great experience. Will definitely be back!
Very good for a quick bite! It’s delicious and cheap, $12 for a plate with rice and two sides of your choice. My ultimate favorite will always be the walnut shrimp, I only go back for that to be honest.
I love Panda Express so much. My husband and now my son are also fans of Panda Express. The only sad part is that they increased the price and decreased the portion, which is noting compare to what we r paying for. This is very much disappointing. For one bowl, we are paying 12+, and it's not even make you close to full. They should change the portions or lower the price.
Mannn don't be antisocial and use the kiosk, just go on line and order because your order will take longer if you use the kisosks. (its not the employees' fault, idk what Panda Express was thinking!)
Great food . Fast service Parking in front Very clean !
Pretty standard panda express. Great if you want some American Chinese food fast. Nice that you can order from the machine instead of waiting in line.
This place is always busy. The crew is doing great job to keep it up with it. Business needs second location preferably in Ridgewood
Great location. Friendly efficient and quick service. Nice cashiers. They ask how many sauces you want which is nice. They also fill the cartons to the top which is great because some places do not. The noodles are better prepared than other locations which do not care. There is also plenty of seating with good air condition. It seams like too many businesses are cheap with that.
They give good portion sizes here and the emplpyees seem nice. They lose a star for the tables always being dirty though.
The service is fast and the food is always fresh/good. The only thing I see is a lack of communication and organization. Doesn't mean much because you'll still get what you go there for. I say this because it's a simple lunch line formation to get your food but they still mite mix your food up with someone else's. Good experience overall and always seating available.
The staff was very nice and respectful.
It was good. Service was great! Taking off one star because I had to keep going back to ask them for napkins and sauces and such (and the guy seemed a little annoyed) because they apparently don't leave things like napkins out for people. But it was not busy and the lady who put our order together was amazingly nice. Thanks for helping us!
too bad there's none close to me I had to go queens for panda Express food is good however they need more variety in the menu restaurant parking is small
Food was mid but was good enough to eat. Staff cleaned off the tables, took out the trash and swept. They did tell me there was a wait for rice which was a great courtesy. Food is pricey for basic “Asian inspired” meals. I also preferred dk use the kiosks instead of waiting to order.
Panda Express delivers exactly what you’d expect from a fast-casual Chinese chain. The setup is simple and efficient, you choose a base (rice or noodles) and add one, two, or three protein options. The food is pre-prepared and displayed behind the counter, so service is quick. There's a good variety of sweet and spicy meat dishes, plus a few seasonal options to keep things interesting. I went for the beef or teriyaki chicken, both are solid choices. The food tastes good, nothing gourmet, but it’s satisfying and reliable. Portions are decent, and the flexibility in creating your own combo makes it easy to please different tastes. Great for a quick bite when you're craving Chinese-style comfort food without the wait.
First time here and will adjust rating as I get to one them. So far so good on first visit here. I has the pepper steak with lo mein bowl. The beef was tender and savory, the mein was good. I need to try their other food. My friend had the orange chicken with fried rice. He liked the chicken alot. We will visit them again and try more of their food. Their prices seem ok. For 2 bowls it came out to about 20 bucks. If you want something fast and quick then this is the place. Too bad we cant eat inside now.
For a healthier take on Chinese takeout, Panda Express is a excellent alternative. The food is tasty and you get a good portion for the price 👏. We normally order through Ubereats. The food always comes well packed. We prefer the chow mein over the fried rice. Our go to is the honey walnut shrimp 👍. Wasn't a fan of the string bean chicken breast 👎 Overall, we recommend!
Okay food but the cost is to high. This is supposed to be a faster Chinese food option and ive never had a bad meal here but the small bowl is 14 plus tax and drink 2.50. The store is always clean and well stocked. Food doesn't last long so its mostly fresh but in a city full of Chinese food you have other options.
Prices have gone up as expected. The portion was really a nice size,2 meals for $15.00 but the food was not as tasty as in the past. The lo mein was very dry and tasteless, without the abundance of green onion, seasonings, etc, as in the past. One of my past favorites restaurants, unfortunately I will not be returning. Place still very clean and Customer service was exceptional.
The workers were sitting on their phones when i went it, I told the first lady i was ready to order and she told me to wait. She finally got off her phone and told me the other lady would help me and finally i was able to order. But they both had a bad attitude. The restaurant itself isn’t bad, just the employees
Long wait time. Food quality wasn't what I expected. There was no sauce. Guess I had to search for some. The tables weren't clean. Coakley said she wasn't pleased for her first experience. Downtown Brooklyn location was much better
Having temporarily relocated to Flushing, I’m surrounded by so many great, authentic Chinese restaurants. But I must confess, having grown up with American-Chinese takeout, sometimes I get an inexplicable craving for just that. My university back in Charlotte, North Carolina had a great Panda Express on campus and it was such a popular lunch spot that, waiting in line, you could watch the employees cook tray after tray of chicken and slather it on with that addictive teriyaki sauce. I was feeling nostalgic for that sauce (and for the honey walnut shrimp, which is totally worth the extra $1.45) so I put in an order for Panda Express in Forest Hills. Verdict: The teriyaki chicken had little to no sauce and because of that, was dry. The super greens, which I wanted to try in order to ease the guilt of ordering greasy takeout, were wilted and altogether a little blander than I expected. The chow mein could’ve been helped with some small vegetables scattered in, but as it was, both flavor and appearance were pretty plain. Appearance of food can be plain if it tastes amazing, but it wasn’t the case here. The honey walnut shrimp was the only saving grace (and for an extra $1.45, I would be frustrated if it wasn’t) but then again, I feel like that’s the only dish out of the ones I ordered that you’d have to work really hard to mess up. Also, they do not have duck sauce, but they do have plum sauce, which tastes -almost- similar, but with a herby flavor. Mixing it with a bit of their chili sauce makes a pretty good dip for egg rolls. Props for a medium drink that is actually quite large (though also filled with 50% ice) and the most thoughtful fortunes-within-restaurant-fortune-cookies ever. “A surprise gift will leave a lasting impression.” Did they mean the food I ordered…? I mean, it never specified that it was positive, just lasting… Do I love Panda Express? Yesss, I have much guilty affection for it. Would I visit the one in Forest Hills again? Probably not. We did have a really big snow storm in Queens lately, so that might’ve impacted the number of employees who could come in, or the delivery of fresh ingredients. But while I can empathize, I’m not sure I would take the chance on this location again.
Omg please put people with better attitude here I don’t know if everyone its like this but tonight was disappointing. The food always good though. Maybe she was really tired.. time: 10pm day: 01/30/2018 Update: its freezing here its not just me but everyone around me were complaining about how cold the AC was its ridiculous. And we ask about that to the girl working there but she told us that they couldn’t do anything about it.
I am not sure if they changed cooks, but picked up a family meal and see the pictures. This is the teriyaki chicken. Is it??? I love Panda, but have never seen the chicken look like this. It appears to be burnt, but all the black pieces are soft and wet like. A waist of money and turned my stomach. 90-04 Metropolitan Queens, NY Saturday 6/4/2022
You are literally better off ordering from your neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The portions have gotten smaller. I literally watched as I got 1 scoop for my entree and for my second entree half a scoop. She then pushed the food around to make it look like a full plate. For $12+ I should atleast get full spoons of what I order.
Today’s experience was not like others the cashier at we dealt with at the end was extremely rude as if she didn’t want to be there. Simply asked for utensils to eat with our meal she had a rude demeanor I suggest she works on her customer service skills or work in the back management definitely needs to get her together before someone else does respectfully.!
Food for the price should be better and every time I go there the fountain drinks not working.... Okay I go back too see if they had fix the fountain drinks well let me tell you no they have not fix the fountain drinks I go to pay I ask for medium drink go to get my drink no ice no ice who does that charge $3.15 for medium drink no ice.. People this panda needs to closed us doors. They customer service horrible... Look at my receipts she actually wrote about my refund for the drink.
This is typically my favorite Panda Express in the area, however I feel like the service and experience has been on the decline my last few visits. I decided to leave a review because this is my 3rd consecutive visit where they are out of chicken teriyaki. That would be equivalent to walking into a max Donald’s and when you order a Big Mac or chicken nuggets, they are out. It’s disappointing. My visit took place on a week day at 12:30pm (lunch break). I understand if you are short staffed or it’s about closing time but it was not busy. They were low on practically everything. Beijing beef? Low. Sesame chicken? Low. Beef broccoli? Low. These should be essential items that are constantly replenished especially during lunch break hours. I hope management takes a closer look at this location. I would hate to see them go out of business . It is a nice clean location, however they are constantly low on many food items.
Wasn't a big fan of their egg rolls. Too thin, too crispy and the inside was just horrible. Couldn't finish it. There was no chicken teriyaki. They said 4 minutes but it was more like 15 mins. Meals were just piling up waiting for the chicken to come out. Honestly I've tasted better teriyaki too. The orange chicken was good but I feel like everything from a Chinese take out would have been better
Was very dias appointed I ordered the beef with broccoli and I literally got two small pieces of beef and 7 broccoli's was dry on top of it . Will not be returning
Amazing food but one person in particular was terrible. I placed my order at the machine and that's why they had me waiting 25 minutes because Katy the employee told me I had to wait for her to serve the people who came after me. (I got upset because when I wanted to place my order in person she talked badly to my girls (7-8y) and I told her I'm not going to deal with your bad attitude maybe it's not your day and I did it at the machine.
The food was great then. But now, the fried rice is dry and cold. There is very little choices when it comes to non spicy, most are now spicy. All the food are served cold. Something happened which was not in the beginning when my husband and I used to dine for lunch after church. I will stop coming to Panda Express. There are better choices now around the corner. Sad. From a Senior Citizen
We came in at 10:30AM, nothing but about two sides were ready. We were told it’d only be an 20 min wait, more than an hour had passed. Then when it’s time for our order to be fulfilled, we were told an item from what was ordered, was no longer available. I’m confused as to how they open with barely anything to actually order from, then those who decide to wait end up not getting everything they ordered due to it being out, we were the second customers to order as soon as they opened. They need more organization/urgency, highly upsetting. The stores opening time should be 12PM, the way they work. Don’t think I’ll be coming back.
Food is definitely overrated. Had the "famous" orange chicken and I was not impressed. I've been wanting to go here for so long and was so excited and then so disappointed!! Food portions are very small and prices are very high. I have no problem paying more for food if it's worth it. This is not. I can get the same type of food from my regular Chinese restaurant and it's just as good if not better.
The soda machine doesn't work when I went . No warning sign to inform you. They don't give as much quantity than most restaurants as well.
Order from kiosk as line is long but it took almost 30min as they ignore tickets from kiosk and keep helping line and after manager noticeinf, he help and did our order. After getting home food is half full and lomein is mostly cabbage and very little noodles. See picture, I advice anyone who order online or kiosk to check order as they will not put enough amount.
This is the worst chow mein I ever have in my life, bad taste, the portion was very little for the overpriced paid for this dish. I will never comeback to this place stay away if you don't want to be upset with your order and waste your money. In short, this Panda Express is very miserable with its portions (see photo of my order).
I love Panda Express. I used to work with Panda Express before too. I know how it goes. I’ve been to so many of them but this location has the rudest employees and they skim on the premium items. The only reason I keep coming here is because they have a parking lot. I love the premium items and I know they’re extras but they don’t inform the customers about it and they put less. The employees were too busy trying to close 2 hours before the closing time and they could care less about theirs customer service. Last night, I’ve ordered the firecracker shrimp, honey walnut shrimp and string beans chicken breast with fried rice. The rice isn’t even cooked properly and theirs still big lumps of rice. My shrimps only came with 3-4 pieces in my plate.
This restaurant is the perfect example of the New York City work ethic. Literally get there 30 minutes before they’re supposed to close and they have absolutely no food and they have no intention of cooking Any kind of food for anybody you might as well close at nine if that’s the case. I think it’s really sad that you guys post hours and don’t stick with them especially since this is a national chain.
Food tasted good. Their huge error is that their restrooms are out of service which is a violation of the department of health. If they don’t fix the restrooms and make a lie out of it , someone will report it the department of health. Customers need to use the restrooms before they eat and / or leave. They just have small size of fountain drinks and no spoons. Trash objects on the floor instead of putting it in the trash. This place is going downhill and I don’t recommend this place to anyone while the restrooms are out of service and doesn’t have enough supplies. It’s a major shame on them. I’ll be going to another joint that’s 100 times better than this location.
I usually wouldn't make a review loke this but I was so disappointed and after driving 30 min to this location and I got here at 902 pm and was told they wouldn't make any more Beijing beef because it was after 9 pm so needless to say I won't come to this location again. I ordered a bing and it fell apart after I opened the wrapper was so mad I threw it out and my side order of orange chicken wasn't closed properly and opened up inside of the bag so 20 bucks down the drain. I guess it's a sign not to come here again. It's a shame I like the Beijing beef and the chicken I guess if they were nice in the delivery of bad news it could have helped..but to get bad service, and trash handed to me made me advocate that they dropped the ball on how this situation was handled. So so disappointed 😞 😔 not even worth me taking a photo
They charged extra $1.25 for honey walnut shrimp and they give me just 4 shrimps. I don’t complain about extra charge but portion is getting really small. I got more than 8 shrimp before COVID-19. The food plate size is getting small too. This restaurant was good but it is going to worst. I stop by Forest Hills area. Music is too loud and server can not get customers order. All customer shouted for their order. I am not happy at all.
I love Panda express, but this one time I had the worst experience at this particular branch. The person serving was rude and had a non chalant attitude. Didn't speak in a polite manner, as if fed up with dealing with customers for the day. All that is still fine, but serving cold food is not. The trial chicken was cold. I went to complain and the person serving showed my her indeed fingers indicating she's busy. The cashier said she can't do anything about it since they don't have a microwave. Never ever coming back. Time: 9:55pm Sun Nov 19, 2017.
They got my order wrong and then they just put the mistaken food back on the line for another person. The cashier was nice though and apologized but they shouldn’t be putting food back on the line.
Don’t come!! Do not recommend, and I highly doubt that those good reviews are bots. The food is either tasteless or heavy on taste. The shrimp is ok, but rest of stuffs on menu I do not recommend. Also even take the taste out of the consideration, only consider price and proportion, it is still not worth it.
Waited for more then 30 min., broccoli was barely cooked, fried rice had 2 cubes of carrots and an idea of an egg, no taste what so ever. Shame on this place! So much plastic waste!
This place use to have good chinese food know the food is horrible all the chicken products the coconut srimp is good not sure about the beef. But horrible ratings disgusting food.
This location was great the last two times I visited. However, the employees were really impatient and rude. They seemed like they didn't want to work here and gave me a horrible attitude. I waited for a menu item for over 25 minutes, and the employee didn't apologize, but instead gave me a nasty attitude. The guy who wore a black polo with glasses had a really horrible attitude, making me not want to come back to this location.
First time here and I will never go back. Was going to order teriyaki chicken but it looked dried out and burnt. So I got orange chicken and a soda. The chicken was cold and not fresh.!I asked for ice for the soda which was warm. Apparently they had no ice ! So I paid almost $10.00 for terrible chicken and warm soda.
Terrible service, arrived at 830pm and they had only scraps! Noone was cooking and the whole kitchen was clean! I asked the lady if they are refilling any food and she said "The kitchen closes at 930". I ended up leaving. They had a whole hour to serve customers that were still coming in and had almost no meats ! They need new management!
I got an Uber eats order and it gave me the worst food poisoning for 3 days!!! The food was absolutely disgusting and it’s been a horrible experience the last three days for me. Don’t order from this specific store please.
PLEASE DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE !! Today, I experienced the worst service in my life, no exaggeration. I ordered my food at 4:12; we were told we had to wait for chicken. We waited patiently. 5 minutes goes by, then 10 minutes. We inquire about our food. The workers behind the counter act as if we were bothering them. 22 minutes later we still haven’t received our food. One worker told me, she was too busy to offer any assistance. Another worker ( the rudest one) with the most to say about the situation. Took my recipt, would not return it. and did not give me the proper order. The manager did finally step in after 20 minutes. We were offered free food, which I didn't but that is not compensation for the poorest customer service I have ever seen. I won't be returning. I hope a general manager sees this.
My first time at a Panda Express and I had a horrible experience at this location. Staff is extremely disrespectful specially William. They just want to get rid of you, take your money and move on to the next. For the very expensive prices, customers should be treated with decency. William should also not talk so much over the food having his nasty droplets all over the food items.
I’ve been to this Panda Express for a few years the food is pretty good , the only reason why I cannot give it 5 stars is because you have a server that shows favoritism to caucasians than people of color. She serves people of color less food. It’s painfully obvious.
How you have 1 worker doing all the online orders in the front and just ignoring the customers that WALK IN. Makes no sense had to wait 10-14 mins bro. Might as well go to a Chinese takeout Weird man/lady worker. Than has the audacity to ask for donation to some foundation. BRO .
I order from this same location at least twice a week I order two bigger plates and ask for extra sauce just to get 1 single packet for each plate. Even when I express in the comment section to add some more sauce, and they never do. Today I ordered asked for hot sauce just to get sweet and sour sauce. I’m done ordering from this establishment and I’m getting my refund.
My order was first given to the wrong person. The second order was twenty minutes later and incorrect. When I returned the order, the cashier told me to get on the back of the line. That’s when the supervisor stepped in. She replaced the order with another totally wrong one. I got a refund and left hungry. Terrible, insulting experience.
Worst customer service. Why having a self ordering machine and they make me wait 15 minutes to make my order. 20 people arrived and ordered in the counter after me and you make my order last. Then claim the ticket just printed when i saw this with my own eyes that the ticket was sitting right next to the person making the orders. UNACCEPTABLE. The manager also saw everything happening i even asked nicely if they could please make my order because. Got totally ignored.
It takes way too long to get your food ,if they run out of what you want,it takes 30 minutes for them to make another batch..terrible
UberEats order: Considering that the fried rice and chow mein is usually dry and tasteless you would think that they will have enough sense to add some sauces in your order. If you forget to add sauces in your order, you would have to eat your fried rice dry. When you remember and order multiple packs of sauces (it's $0 on there) you get only one. Are the employees hoarding the sauces, or is this Panda Express protocol??
The employee serving food INGRID was very rude and dismissive to me when I asked a question. I asked her if somebody else could serve me and she said no. I wish I had seen a manager somewhere. This employee immediately and completely ruined my experience at this location of Panda Express, which is a franchise I love and have loved for years. This employee should be removed immediately from the serving customers. Just imagine how many customers she’s been rude and unprofessional too and never got their voices heard. 1/5 for bad customer service. I hope a manager reads this and removes her from serving customers. Maybe she should do the dishes or clean the bathroom instead.
The girl had the shop vac going while we were trying to order and it was hard to hear..she thought it was hilarious. Trashes were over flowing onto the ground and bathrooms were very disgusting. The kid cashing people out was super nice but looked very overwhelmed
The big lady that serves the food i told her spaghetti and all she served me was onions . Very bad management. She also didn’t know what she was doing . Messed up my food. I want my money back. They also have attitude when ordering your plate. The big lady didn’t know the difference between small plate and big plate as well. Order was a mess!
Bad service to go! They no give me folk and everything because it’s for to go! It’s crazy and employs are desesperado y hay unos chinos en el steam table Desperate treatment of the employees and I will not deliver props to take if you take your food to the cart they do not give you a fork spoon and all the employees from ahead are desperate if they want to communicate with me I can be 69 tekachi of those who do not do their job well and who do not He wanted to give me props to eat
Food taste good, but female who work there should cover the whole hair last time I found hair in the white rice. And today I went to buy food for my kids I saw long hair around the serving spoon when she took the kunbo the hair in the spoon touch the food that was discussing
I’ve been coming to this Panda Express location religiously since 2022, at one point everyday often driving 15 minutes sometimes through traffic just to eat here. Sadly, the quality of service and portion sizes have noticeably declined. Today, I ordered a Bigger Plate and was extremely disappointed. The rice filled only half the tray section, and the “double” orange chicken portion looked more like a single entree. For $13 after using my reward points, I shouldn’t feel like I received a kid’s meal. This is becoming a trend and its happening too often. Over the years, I’ve seen different staff come and go. Some of the older team members are friendly and give proper portions, but when I visit during peak hours especially on Fridays and Saturday afternoons the experience is consistently poor. Portions are tiny, service feels rushed, and the cashier today was unfriendly. It’s frustrating because I used to really enjoy eating here. I’ve cut back on visits lately because I leave more disappointed than satisfied. That said, I do want to acknowledge the store manager she's always been kind and professional when serving me. I believe she cares, but she needs to focus on improving staff training, both in customer service and portion standards. I remember her asking me to give the store a review with my receipt and I gave her a great review at the time she deserved it. I followed it with 2 more. Scored some free entrees in the process. One bright spot is Jasmine, she consistently gives excellent service. This store could really use more employees like her. I think you guys may have lost me as a customer, I may have to avoid coming here all together. I'm tired of the disappointment!
DO NOT ORDER AT THE KIOSK. The kiosk is advertised to allow you to “skip the line”. However, both myself and several other customers who ordered at the kiosk had to wait until every single customer on the line (even the ones that came way after we order) got their food. Just totally ridiculous, if I had known that I would have just waited on the line.
As I waited in line, A worker in a black polo shirt (supervisor I think?) picked his nose, pushed down the garbage, picked up a piece of trash, and fixed his pants with the same hand he had a glove on, then went back to serving food. I asked the girl helping me if he could change his gloves please as he was about to touch my plate, she told him, and he just walked around until I left.. with the same glove on… She finished putting together my plate. He never changed his glove as far as I know. Terrible food safety.
So I was hungry I came here to get food today I placed an online order. When I get to the restaurant the lady INGRID gives me my bag and when I drive away I notice I got the wrong order when I told her the right name. She mix my name up with a female when I’m a male. Staff needs to do better pay attention now I had to throw out half of the meal.i don’t eat chicken ordered bejing beef. The other person‘s gonna be upset that I got their order
I visited this location today October 28, 2020 and I drove for about an hour to get some good Panda Express but here is what happened. The fried rice did not have any taste... felt like I was eating plain oatmeal... and the sesame chicken breast was good but the sweet fire chicken breast had a pork flavor!! Why?????? It literally had that taste... it was a nasty taste. I was very disappointed and only ate sesame chicken breast.
