It's 2017 who still had a$10 card limit?
One of the more decent Chinese food places in the area. Never a long wait!
Wonderful place to get Chinese. Never disappointed when I go there. Well done
Always Incredible food!! Amazing service fast and friendly!

Best Chinese food in East Greenbush/Rensselaer area. Fast, recently priced and perfect tasting food. Very high quality
I found it a good place to order Chinese standards for takeout.
Love Zenbu! Food always prepared fresh, hot, and delicious! Within about 15 minutes! Great Chinese food!
Best Chinese food in the area. Would drive from downtown Troy to pick up because it's just that much better than other options nearby.
The only Chinese place i will order from in NG. Never been disappointed and food is always fresh!
I order from there everytime I go to north greenbush, they get it right everytime. best chinese from north greenbush, they are very nice
Great take out. Best Chinese food in the area.
The food is always excellent. Fast, fresh, and great tasting. Thanks!
Great food. My boyfriend loves this place. Best lo mein.
I absolutely love Zenbu Chinese food! The best in the area!!
Excellent food prepared quickly. Very nice staff as well.
Lo mein is the best and not greasy or heavy feeling once your done eating.
Awesome place! Food is always hot and fresh and the order is always correct, nothing is ever missing which anyone ordering for a family can appreciate!!
The food is VERY GOOD!
Oh my gosh, words can’t say how good the food was! My husband and I have gone to the same place for years and they are closed, so we tried Zenbu and to say the least I’m in a coma from eating so much! From the food to the price to picking up and them making sure I had everything in my order before I left. We will definitely be back
Always a good meal at a competitive price. Have done takeout probably a dozen or more times on various days over the course of a year+, not a single bad meal. If you want something fancier or healthier there's other local options. These folks nailed the americanized chinese food thing.
Recently moved and tried this place one night, now my go to Chinese food place. I order to go and it's always good, every time!
Always super fast service and the food is the best Chinese in the area.
The best Chinese food in the area.
Best Chinese takeout in Rensselaer County. Alway quick, accurate and delicious. One of our family's favorite spur of the moment dinners.
Yesterday I ordered bone in bbq ribs and shrimp fried rice … it was so fresh and delicious. … I’m having the same today
What a pleasant surprise! We were going to eat somewhere else and at the last minute, I decided I wanted chinese food. The closest place was Zenbu so that is where we went. It is small inside...seating for maybe 18-24 people at a time. Service was very friendly, pretty quick and very tasty.

Great food and really well priced. Probably the best general tso's chicken I've ever had. Staff are very nice and it's a great plac for a quiet meal
We get takeout here pretty regularly and it’s always solid. Quick and tasty with friendly folks at the counter. They have the best steamed dumplings I’ve ever had from a Chinese takeout joint.
We've been ordering from Zenbu going on 20 years. I can honestly say we've never had a complaint. Had a long week/day today, ordered to make our lives easy tonight. It was probably the best it's ever been. Will be picking up our daughter soon, surprising her with this. Food is always amazing, thank you Zenbu!
My go to take out Chinese, in this area. Never had a bad experience here.
My partner and I both got the Kung Pao Tofu and it was some of the most well fried and seasoned tofu Ive had in a long time! The dining space is also great for a quick sit down and eat meal. Thanks for the great food!

Food is very good. Many options on menu.
Great Chinese food, not too slow
Basically take out
Was fast and delicious. Whole family loved it. Can't wait to have take out again
Always good, very quick service. If you call in an order, and they give you a time frame they always beat it.
Lunch specials are cheap and yummy! $10 card limit is annoying though
Great staff and food, they have a lot of extra items to buy for your home too,
Great take out, everything is beyond delicious! Fried rice is a little bit lackluster however everything else on the menu is to die for, if you're vegetarian I would highly recommend getting the tofu!!!!
I ordered sesame chicken, usually it's sweet. Mine today was very spicy. It was a new experience and I would go again.
Good Chinese takeout. On-par with most of the better takeout places I've been. their sushi isn't so great though, but the General tsos and sesame chicken was great.
I've been going to Zenbu since they opened tonight's order was a little off..the lomein was dry and sticky and I asked for extra pork and no egg in the other dish ordered and it was definitely not extra pork and the dish had no other veg but carrots. First disappointing meal 😕
If you are looking for good Chinese food hut this place up never been disappointed before

Good food for take out.
I like to give the benefit of doubt, so I will try a 2nd time. Taste was fine, but there was no chicken in my General Taos chicken. Just very hard cruncy breading with tiny little tid bits of chicken that were so over fried I couldn't tell the difference between the chicken or the breading. Rice and soup were ok.
Disappointed to find out there is a $10.00 minimum order for take out. As a Senior on a limited income spending $10.00 is not always available. Seniors generally look for the lower price items as well as size. Seniors eat less. Today I had to purchase more food than I wanted to eat and buy:-(
I had some take-out this week with good vegetarian pot-stickers and hot-and-sour soup. The chicken lol mien was pretty gloppy with some kind of "Barbeque" sauce and just a few skinny pieces of chicken. Disappointing. Will try again this week with something a little more esoteric to see how they do. My rating could change. Nice counter-girl, however.
I stopped in for a quick bite. Ordered house lo mein. Very busy, some confusion with orders. There's a few tables for eat-in. They prepared my order for take-out. Food was good though.
The food use to be better years ago. Maybe a change in ownership or cook. Inside they use to have more seating. Now it seems like the dinning area is more for storage and a display of products that are non food items. Over the phone I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes and it was more like 40.

Ordered food to pick up on my way home. Ordered garlic chicken with broccoli and rice..but when I got home I have broccoli and rice NO CHICKEN...What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT
Soups very salty. Other dishes soggy and tasteless. Tasted like it was cooked yesterday and reheated.
I never leave reviews, but the food is flavorless and extremely overpriced
Everytime ive gotten food from here i wish i hadnt. Service is not welcoming, their food isnt either. Dont get anything soup, they dont use a broth but its more like a thick gelatin goop and is almost inedible. Their food is pretty poorly done across the board. Believe the low reviews!
The only thing I can say is that this is a consistently inconsistent restaurant. Wonton soup VERY salty, no vegs, egg rolls that were scantily filled. If you can't get these staples right forget the rest in americanized Chinese food.
Half our order was wrong. Very disappointed. Didn’t want to take the time to go back. Instead of my shrimp with garlic sauce, I got something awful….extremely tasteless….couldn’t finish it. We’ll be checking our order before we leave Zenbu next time
Food is usually good. But last time I got sweet-and-sour shrimp, and the shrimp was either freezer burned or overcooked kind of chewy. Disappointed.
To go order of the white meat, General Taos chicken seemed to be a large portion until I bit in and discovered each piece was 90% batter maybe 10% meat…Curry Chicken was fair not much curry, Dumplings were fair not a flavor I enjoyed at other similar restaurants. Not going back
ordered shrimp and garlic sauce for lunch, not sure what I got but not anything like shrimp and garlic sauce I have ever ordered. no brown sauce no broccoli some opaque white sauce with peas and carrots. I ate it and should not, will be spending my Friday night on the toilet. wish I did not have to publicly complain but other than in person or mail no contact info

Food great... workers here arent worth the food
Not happy I ordered for total was 21.22 and then I was charged 25.34 after I left 😡😡😡😡
Saw cook chopping pork on floor on top of cardboard
Got old food , all discolored
Food awful, tasteless. All 3 of our meals ...Beef broccoli, Shrimp and Snow Peas and my daughters meal.and the egg rolls were way overdone and tastess
Slowest service. 'Ready in 15' really means 30. Never had tasteless chicken n broccoli before zenbu.
Moo Shu Chicken, more egg shell then chicken. Goopy egg drop soup more like playdoughor silly putty. Stay away or get sick.
So disappointed with the food, very salty, the noodles were over cook, the pork was missing except for few little strips, not worth it at all, won’t be going back
Got food poisoning. Terrible they declined to give me refund. Bad business don’t go there. Call the health department
The food was horrible chicken was over cooked shrimp roll over cooked I made a request on one item was totally ignored never again
If I could give it negative stars, I would. My partner and I placed an order for a Pu Pu Platter for two yesterday, went home and set in bed to eat and there was a feather fried and poking out of my chicken. Opened up our Beef Lo mein and pulled out a long blonde hair. Not to mention that the "platter" for "two" was even big enough to feed us both. Never going here again.
We used to like the place. Ordered some of the usual dishes we order then decided to try some new stuff. Nothing was good. Its been 17 hours and the trips to the bathroom are frequent and unpleasant. My son is also complaining about stomach pain but not visiting the bathroom as much. The pu pu platter was very disappointing by the way. The ribs burnt to a crisp. The chicken stick was questionable. Everything had a fish taste. I know chinese food has fish sauce but this was a different fish flavor. The beef in the schezuan beef had the texture of chicken. It was like brown chicken. Also with that fishy taste. Anyway never again and I would not recomen .
I ordered chicken with mixed veggies. It was VERY oily and soggy. I don't recommend
We placed a $40+ order and there's a coupon online spend $30 get a free cheese wonton. They would only accept printed coupons which I couldn't print because I wasnt home and I dont carry a printer with me in my back pocket. Needless to say we canceled our order because they wanted to save $6.50 on a $40.00+ oreder.
Called to put a very large order in for dinner on a Tuesday … first item.. mooshu, he told my fiancé hold on we’re too busy to do mooshu…. How are you too busy to make something? That’s fine but we’ll never be ordering from them again.
Ordered gen tsos chicken off the lunch menu yesterday to go. Got home there was like 10 small chicken nuggets in a little bit of sauce in a Styrofoam container the size of a Hamburg box - no broccoli, peppers or anything else!!!
A very crummy way to run a Chinese takeout place. I was working in the area and not once but twice ordered a lunch special over the phone. When I got there 10-15 minute later. I had to resubmit my lunch order to a 10 year old boy. And then and only then they started to make my order and I had to stand there and wait.
Ordered for the first and only time! Hair in my food. Called, they demanded I bring it all the way back for them to just rudely pull the food from my hand then take the hair I found and bring it to the kitchen to verify with workers it wasn’t their hair. Then the female was laughing in my face while speaking foreign language they refused refund, kept the food. Said it wasn’t their hair and it wasn’t black hair yet the females hair was black, with blonde, purple, and brown highlights/streaks. I’ve never seen such demeaning service. And the few bites I took honestly the food was gross very tasteless

The food was delicious and I was excited to find a new favorite Chinese place but then I saw a tip was added to my card that I didn’t authorize. I initially had a charge of $21 on my card which increased to $26 the next day for a pickup order, which is usually how tipping works in restaurants except I didn’t authorize a tip. This is poor business practice and is unfortunate because I thought I would be coming here frequently, but now I won’t be coming back.
Had coconut shrimp…no shrimp or coconut in dish, scallops that tasted like water chestnuts, & beef I couldn’t chew because it was so tough. Hot & sour soup that was just really thick brown gravy with just a few things in it. They didn’t even provide the crispy noodles for it. Almost $50 that’s going in the garbage. Ugh
I usually don't post about bad food experiences but I would not recommend Zenbu. General Tso chicken had no chicken in it. It was hollow fried breading. Shrimp egg roll had a little cabbage in it with a tiny piece of a shrimp in it. Absolute worst Chinese place I've ever eaten at! How can this place still be in business?? Does the chef stand behind an item that has chicken in the title with no chicken? Wow. One star because the white rice was decent...
We ordered fried wontons that were very, very over cooked. They were hard and had no filling. Our sesame chicken also was over cooked and hard. The egg rolls are so tiny. They are all wonton skin and no filling. Second time we have gotten bad food. Trying somewhere else.
Nice people. Good communication. The prices are outlandish. $1.95 for one egg roll? $7 for a pint of chicken fried rice. You are absolutely out of your minds. Best of luck.
Tried it once before years ago and it was lousy...still is. Got sesame beef that had a distinct moldy taste, pork - few trace strands - lo mein that was ok (can't really screw up noodles in soy sauce), orange chicken that tasted like musty orange rinds with itty bitty pieces of chicken in balls of batter, egg drop soup that was neon yellow and pork fried rice which was probably the best part of the order although the pork was very dry. Won't be back which is too bad because aside from Hanzo's, there really isn't any place good that I know of in Rensselaer county. Used to frequent Lee Sun but since they changed owners they're even worse than this place.
