Great Diner, always looks packed. Plenty of room, got seated with no wait. Food was good. Had meat skillet, wife had French Toast with bacon. We will definitely stop in again.

Our family stopped there on 7/6/24 on our way to vacation in upstate NY. We were 12 ppl. I called the Wed before to let them know. When we arrived a table was all set up for us. The service was excellent as was the food. Highly recommend Alexis Diner.

We have been coming here for years. Recently we have eating here more often. Ease of getting a table of 5, quick friendly service, and good prices is what drives our decision to eat here. Also everyone can find something they like to eat. My son constantly gets the chicken Parmesan and is always happy with it.

There is a very good reason why they get voted as a top rated diner year after year. It is consistently good The service is good, the food is good, they get to know you and treat you like family, which is great. It's often busy, it's no secret- it's good, so get there early before meal time rushes. When you arrive Check the specials board or ask about them. The vibe is busy, shiny, neon and effervescent like a busy- busy diner should be. The new outdoor spaces are great. I really like the patio. Check out the dessert area, and fyi the cheesecake is very good.

Always ordered out and enjoy their food. I dined in for the 1st time on NYE and did not wait long to be seated despite it being very busy 👍 Greeted with a welcoming smile and the servers were very attentive. Good portion breakfast and filling, will go back.

The customer service was really warm and welcoming. I did take out breakfast and didn’t wait very long. My only complaint is I asked for eggs fried over hard and received scrambled so I couldn’t eat them and had to throw away.But I had so much food besides the mistake.

I went to Alexis Diner to have a dessert with my out of town friend. As always, the place was clean. The hostess seated us quickly. Our dessert and beverages came promptly, and the Tuxedo Cake was good. My only negative is the hovering server. He gave me the impression that he'd like us to eat and go as quickly as possible. As we had timed our visit to fall between their lunch and dinner crowds, the server's behavior seems unjustified. Everything else was very pleasant. Highly recommend you visit.

After many years of seeing their commercial, I finally made it! The diner feel is a favourite of mine, and Alexis delivered! There was plenty of comfortable seating and mirrored surfaces (a must in my book).😄 I ordered the cornedbeef hash omelet with homefries; very tasty! Make the trip and, as they say in their commercial, "Come see why!"

Hands down, the best spinach-feta omlette I've ever had. No half-wilted, sad spinach leaves here! Chock full of goodness and cooked the way I like it. My server, Ashley, was professional, friendly, and on top of everything. This was the lunch I needed today. 5-stars. (Discount for cash, btw.)

We hadn't been here in years, but we're delighted to come again. Although I ranked the food 4, it was 5 for two of the four of us. The other two thought it was a 4, so 4.5 would be a better grade. My omelet with sausage was delicious, and the meatloaf superb. The chopped sirloin and top roast were good, but not the best. The cost was very reasonable for all entrees. Our server, Jessica was very attentive and efficient, with a very friendly personality. The decor was charming, as were the firetruck and old cars outside. We'll definitely visit here again!

We love going there for breakfast while we are in town and they have a big variety to choose from. My favorites are the breakfast burritos and the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. Sometimes there is a little wait but so worth it. Once you check in with the waitress, you can follow along on the app on your phone so you know exactly where you are in the wait list to be seated.

The staff at Alexis diner were absolutely fantastic. They were very attentive and welcoming. After a long day of funeral services, it was nice not to feel rushed even when they were about to close. I absolutely loved the food, as did everyone in the group.

Ashley was amazing. We had a party of nine with family and friends from different social circles gather during a sad time (the passing of a loved one) for our family. Ashley was absolutely incredible - she was flawless and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for a better server in what could’ve been a very awkward moment.

Perfect diner experience. My cousin had waffles with bacon and an egg while I had a corn beef reuben with a side of slaw (NO judging my breakfast choice). Total yum. Service was awesome and atmosphere was pleasant and not terribly noisy. Will definitely return.

It's always a good meal at the Alexis Diner! Whether you're getting a yummy breakfast or a satisfying dinner there really isn't anything bad on the menu. My daughter is fond of a simple grilled cheese, or the occasional pancakes with strawberries. Staff are friendly, attentive, and patient, even during a morning rush.

Classic diner atmosphere. We got our order to go but ended up eatting it right outside (they have a couple of picnic tables near the parking lot). Beautiful Fall morning. Perfect diner breakfast! Haven't been here in awhile. Stopped by on a Saturday at 6:30. Easy parking. Although very busy, the hostess got us a table immediately. Server quickly got us drinks and took our order. She was friendly and efficient. Menu is what you'd expect in a diner. Almost too many choices. Food was good. Philly cheesesteak was tasty. My partner's cheeseburger was cooked exactly as she wanted. Service was impeccable. We were in a hurry and had to leave immediately after the meal. The hostess came by and asked if we wanted to stay for coffee - making sure everything was ok. We assured her everything was fine. It's obvious they care about the customer's experience.

This is my go-to diner. I've eaten here many times and usually get their chicken wings while family members enjoy different entrees. It's reasonably priced with a friendly staff. My only issue is that it's too cramped for wheelchairs and walkers in most areas. Otherwise, it's a solid choice.

Went in the afternoon. It was not busy, past the lunch rush. Service was great. Food was tasty and portions were large, but everything was either luke warm or cold. It wasn't busy, so no real excuse.

Breakfast for dinner At Alexis Diner We got to the diner around 6:30 and it wasn’t really packed but the seating wasn’t good. The other parties were seated around the corners and sides . We ended up dead smack in the middle behind one of the a larger parties who were kinda loud. Like really loud. Kinda messed up the entire mood. But they left half way through. So it guess it fine after that. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. Waitress was friendly. I ordered Steak, eggs, home fries, and pancakes It was sooo much food I ended up talking some of it home. The pancakes were light and fluffy, steak cooked exactly how I requested. If you are going here during the weekend you should get there early to avoid the crazy long lines. I thought the food was solid. The pancakes and waffles are the best things they have. I got the corned beef hash and it gave me an upset stomach for the rest of the day. But I guess I played myself by getting something that greasy to start the day l. This was our first visit to Alexis Diner as we stopped in for breakfast. They have a wide variety of items to choose from on their menu including many traditional diner dishes. They even have a full bar. For our breakfast, we ordered poached eggs, a hash omelet, and a side of biscuit and gravy. The poached eggs were the best dish as the eggs were cooked well with slightly wet yokes and the hollandaise sauce tasted as it should - not too sweet or lemony. The biscuit and gravy had good flavor but it was lukewarm at best. We would have sent it back to get it warmed but our server didn't come to check on us until later in our meal. The hash omelet was a bit of a disappointment. It seemed like the hash was mixed into the eggs before cooking. I didn't realize that the omelet did not come with cheese which it desperately needed as it was a bit overcooked and was extremely light on the serving of hash. The side potatoes were excellent: well-seasoned, crispy outer edges, and tend potato centers. All-in-all we enjoyed our meal. Add cheese in cheese-less omelets, test the food temp before the server walks away, and definitely get the potatoes. My next visit...meatloaf. You can tell a lot about a restaurant from its meatloaf!

We had planned to go to another restaurant for Fathers Day lunch/dinner, but discovered there was a 1 hour and 15 minute wait. “No thanks” we said. Both my son and I had heard and read good reports about Alexis Diner and decided to give it a try. What a great experience. Nice, clean and pleasant place, inside and out. Although they have a large menu selection, all three of us got the fried chicken dinner. Everything was very good, and the volume of food was enormous. We ended up bringing 4 boxes of food home with us and we were all stuffed! The wait service was prompt and friendly. Prices were reasonable in my opinion. Gray place and certainly recommend it. We will be back.

I was here a couple months ago that's the lower review this review today went in for a late lunch not happy at all . Service was extremely slow had to ask twice for napkins, I know don't go to a Greek restaurant when you want spaghetti, but I was craving spaghetti . The bill was shocking. I asked the waitress for onion on my burger, she said no problem. The burger deluxe came out with no onion. I ordered a side salad. I was hungry and wanted something quick. The salad came out with the burger deluxe even though I wanted it before the main dish. Service was slow. Hope this helps to improve your fine establishment.

Can you believe this place would not refund my money! I admit it was my fault placing order to the wrong diner. But come on! I live almost 3 hours from the place and it was a honest mistake! No one has money to just throw away these days. They denied my request from the app so I could not be refunded. So sad they had to be rude over the phone as well. I just hope they fed someone with the food & not throw it away! 😩 UPDATE: They did refund back half my money. I’ll take it! Thank you!! It's a diner and truly you should expect a standard diner experience from start to finish. The last few times the food hasn't come out quite right, but I always ask to hold something that they just forget to leave it off the order. I'm sure if you just got whatever it is the way it's on the menu you'll be fine.

I don't understand the good reviews for this place. All these people should try the 9 and 20 Diner in Schodack. Much better food, service and proportions. Ordered a western omelette with a side of bacon. Was timely in receiving the order, but, you can hammer a nail with the toast it was so hard and the bacon was overcooked. The Omelette and home fries proportions were about 2/3 the size of 9 and 20 Diner proportions. Omelette was dry, some of the home fries were burnt other parts of them were undercooked. Almost 10 minutes before the waitress came around so I could get a new order of toast. Overpriced for the size of the meal. Take a ride to the 9 and 20 Diner and you'll never go back to Alexis.

My family(me my wife and two boys) went here last week. We weren’t really greeted. The hostess fumbled around and they didn’t have anything for kids to color or separate kids menu. They set us in a both connected to another booth with a big family next to us. We could look past all of that but the food wasn’t good. I got the Ruben, it was dry and not good. My wife got a French dip that was extremely dry and did not have much flavor. The boys chicken strips were good but it’s hard to mess those up. The one positive is that our server was great! She was attentive, helpful and even scooped my son three different ice creams that were included in the kid meal. Sadly. we won’t be returning.

Food was real good, I had the Philly steak sub , right amount of meat cheese and veggies , the bread was soft with a little crunch and not bulky, first time here, definitely loved the raspberry sauce with the mozzarella sticks, the lady who first seated me not so friendly like she didn’t want to be bothered, her demeanor was rude. The service got 2 stars because the waitress was really sweet. I drove 45 minutes to have lunch with my friends and was excited as I'd never been here before. We were seated promptly and drink orders taken. Took a good 10 minutes to receive a coffee, an iced tea and a glass of water. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. I ordered a patty melt medium rare with macaroni salad. I was served Cole slaw and the burger was bleeding it was so rare! Being that we waited so long I brought the plate up to the manager and just asked for it to be microwaved. It was still pretty rare when it came back but I was hungry and tired of waiting. I got through half of it before I started not feeling well. My friend got a chicken Caesar salad no onions, BUT when it came out it had LOTS of onions. She too ate about half of it picking out onions and boxed the rest to take home. My friend paid so she asked for the bill to be discounted because of all of this and was told "but you ate the food". I will not be returning. Tops diner or even western diner has better food, better cooks, and better service.

1 big complaint, it was not busy,Cheryl my waitress was very good, order my food she wrote it down correctly, food was not cooked properly, very disappointed, she wanted to correct it but, Im not going to sit there and have my wife eat and me not. Who ever is running the kitchen should take a minute and READ the order. It’s unfortunate that the waitress has to take the complaint. There was NO manager to speak to. I hope to the kitchen staff.

Sat for a long time before a server showed up. Almost got up and left. Then she forgot my order, and only after I asked did she go and pick it up. By then it was cold. I got the mushroom and Swiss burger. The mushrooms weren't sauteed, just dumped on cold from a can. The bun was stale and crumbly. Really not a good experience. There are plenty of other options.

Worst service I’ve had in years. I had high hope because the buffalo chicken dip was really good. Everything went down hill real fast after the appetizers. Mike our waiter was seemingly rude as he would speed past us every time we tried to get his attention. We asked multiple times for lemon on the side. After the third or four time asking he brought us a water with a lemon. The lemon had what looked like two black pubic hairs on it! So disappointed and disgusted with my experience.

In the past, I noticed this place's TV ad wire the contrary stating, "Everyone loves Alexis!" The other night, we stopped in for dinner. To say the least, it was a shock when the really nice server brought a glass of water to our table. A few drops of water dropped on the seat and my girlfriend grabbed a napkin and wiped the water off of the seat. When she turned the napkin over, it had a considerable amount of black dirt on it. We immediately lost our appetite and asked for the check. Nothing good stands out as a positive culinary experience here. The food is average at best. You should be careful here because "I DON'T love Alexis".

Very disappointed. We came here to celebrate my Birthday. What a mistake. I chose here because we had a good past visit. NEVER AGAIN! HERE IS WHAT WAS WRONG. 1. Waited 10. Minutes to order drinks, and then additional 15 minutes to order food really? 2. My son ordered Strip Steak medium rare. He received it cold and well done. My other son ordered buffalo sandwich with fries. He ate two bites of sandwich and stopped eating because there was a hair in his ranch dressing. My husband ordered half a chicken . Food was cold he sent his back to be heated in microwave, he had to pretty much beg for a refill on his coffee. NOW for mine I ordered grilled chicken breast. They didn't have baked potato so got mashed. There was no choice in what vegetables you got. My food was COLD also. I only took couple bites. When I asked for the bread that was suppose to come with our meal tge waitress snapped at me. So much for a birthday dinner. Bill well over 100.00 and it SUCKED!!!! Spoke to Mgr. She did remove price of the Strip steak.

The service was fine but the food was bland and tasteless. One thing not to order is the popcorn shrimp. I could have got this at Walmart and put it in the oven at home. POPCORN BASKET! btw I’m not reviewing the wrong location it was your location you do Carry nasty shrimp.

Worst meal ever. My partner ordered the ribeye special. No ribeye left. So he ordered strip steak (more $$) and seafood chowder. He said chowder didn't taste right. I ordered meatloaf dinner with mashed (no gravy on either) and steamed veggies. The meatloaf was reheated lumps of meat and the mashed were dry. The waiter served that way. I took two bites, dried up food. Who would serve this definitely not fresh or edible. The waiter never noticed or cared. Yuck don't go there unless you want you food covered in gravy or fried. 2nd dinner I had there that was dried out.

Took my mom here on her 87th birthday last week. Wanted to surprise her and get her a slice of her favorite pie for later. It was $8.50 and it was the smallest piece of pie I've ever bought at a restaurant. I rarely write a bad review but after reaching out to them first on their FB page and being ignored they left me no choice. Very poor customer service. We used to enjoy coming here but not anymore. Let me add the pie wasn't even good. It may be hard to tell in the pictures but that's a very small 5" plate. Do better Alexis Diner!

We have ordered here a few times, when we go in we get great service but most the time we order online we always have something missing and it’s usually the major parts of the meal like meat. This time literally all the meat didn’t come with it, not even the regular bacon egg and cheese meal that it specifically comes with a meat. And we ordered sides of meat as well and didn’t receive it. Just disappointed in the lack of attention when packing mobile orders. Thankfully they said we can get a refund but it’s the point of it happening almost every time when ordering online.

I would encourage anyone reading this to try literally any other diner, of which there are dozens nearby up and down route 4. Consistently we have been let down by food, service and the general environment at Alexis. Frankly I’m very confused as to where all these positive reviews are coming from, since I haven’t heard many great things about either them as people, the quality of their food, or the general cleanliness of the back (🤢you don’t want to know…) from lifelong Troy residents. Last time we went we witnessed the owner himself creating an abusive work environment for his servers; proceeded to leave before our food arrived because we were so put off and shocked at his audacity. Head 5 minutes up the street instead and you’ll be much more content with your brunch choice
