Very cozy and romantic atmosphere. The bigger was well done and the seafood plate was spot on. The brownie ice cream was not good. I was trying to find something like thunder under from outback
A unique restaurant over looking the gold course with awesome food and beverages. The cocktail bar is good. Do try their Moscow Mules, good. The spring drinks menu has some good drinks. If you are into flavored sweetish drinks, try the watermelon refreshers.
Good food, great service and always a great atmosphere. Reasonable price for high quality food.
Tis the season! After a long and already snowy hike, my friend and I stopped by to grab a hot toddy and a small bite. I had a cup of the clam chowder. The Hot Toddy was lightly spiced and decadently warm. The clam chowder was generously laden with potatoes and clams. A quiet moment by the fire was just what we needed!
The cheeseburger and fries are awesome! We went on a vacation in several European countries and the whole time we talked about how we missed the burger and the fries here, especially after playing a round of golf.
Delicious and the servers were very nice and accommodating. The Cedar plank Salmor was incredible
My group of 36 descended on the grill yesterday. Two long tables of 14 and the rest filled adjacent booths. The two young ladies who served us did and truly outstanding job. Things moved along seamlessly, first as folks mixed and mingled then settling down and having dinner. Each ordered off the menu so a large variety of delicious things were consumed. All I saw were smiles leading to full bellies. It was a little dim for our presentation but there were no complaints.
We've been coming here for years because it's convenient and on the way home from work. In the summer the patio is nice and there's live music. They even have a great breakfast and brunch. We always enjoyed the WILD, not farmed salmon. We recently noticed it had changed and confirmed that it was farmed! Seriously. We we're pleased to see they had copper river salmon as a chef's special the last two times, ordered it and was awesome. Worth every penny of the $36 menu price. Please bring back the wild salmon for your normal cedar plank one that's on the menu. They also have an awesome wine list!
Giselle was a very excellent server. She was kind, respectful and very helpful. Our food came quickly and was very good! Very accommodating.
The food was amazing! It’s hard to do Eggs Benedict correctly… that’s always a sign for me that the chef in charge is on point if he can pull off a dish like that as perfectly as it was. And KUDOS to Piper, our server! Excellent services. Just top notch. Thank you!!!
We've gone here a few times since randomly finding it a few years ago, and today we went back and I tried the corned beef hash this morning. It was on par with the best corned beef hash I've had in the past and I am so excited that I no longer have to drive a couple of hours to get it anymore. Good food, good prices and fun setting.
It was my third time here. My first dinner. Everything was delicious. I had questions about how to order my prime rib. The waitress helped me. It was perfect! I plan to take my “ breakfast club” here when it’s my turn to pick next time.
Great place for lunch when you talk for hours to a friend you haven't seen in a long time! The food is always great and in ample portions. The staff is excellent, efficient, and non-intrusive. The armosphere is low-key and quiet. One of my favorite places!
From the moment I entered Friday at about 6:15, the female staff were welcoming, cheerful and helpful - even when we saw a plate of onion rings walk by and ordered some after giving our order. The food was excellent and plentiful. Shrimp.Louie salad, burger and chicken parmigiana. This restaurant deserves to be full! We will go back soon. And those onion rings rock!
Had a delightful lunch at the RiverRock Grill! Finding a place with ample parking, pleasant outdoor seating, and tasty menu options like the California chicken burger and that tempting brownie sundae dessert can indeed make for a perfect lunch outing. Without many dining options in the area to meet up for a quick bite, It’s always a pleasure to discover a local gem.
Halibut was excellent and fresh. I had a view of the golf course and Cynthia, my very wonderful server, was most attentive!! A great dining experience here as always!!
Don’t usually write reviews but I felt I had to after my experience here. Stopped by on a whim with a buddy for the first time and Piper the bartender was fantastic. Great energy, engaging and knowledgeable of the products offered. Will definitely be back.
Met a friend there for lunch, it was my first time eating there. Food was fantastic, our server was so sweet and patient with us. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. 👍👍
River Rock Grill was a nice, laid-back place on a beautiful golf green setting to have a leisurely luncheon with friends. Excellent food, Steph did not rush us. Everyone appreciated the afternoon. Thank you.
I only recently discovered they are now open for breakfast at 8:00. Previously at 11:00. Today my country fried steak was very good but not great. The lunch and dinner menu has truly great entree items. Breakfast is lagging behind. Breakfast entrees all come with breakfast potatoes, meh they are okay. The rest of the breakfast items are much better. If they offered hash browns I would frequent more often.
We went on a Friday night. Very busy. You should expect a little bit slower service due to that, but that does not mean the service was lacking at all. My wife had the Hearty Burger and I had the Fish and Chips.
River Rock has very reasonably priced pitchers of beer. An ice cold pitcher of beer is very refreshing after hitting an $11 bucket of 80 balls in the hot sun at the driving range. The patio has a great view of the first tee, the putting practice area and the driving range. After dropping the clubs in the car a couple of shots of Jameson (to see the back pain 😁), a picture of ice cold Manny's and an order of chicken nachos are a great way to end a day on the links.
Good food, service was slow, and I had to ask another server to get our bill.
Great food. Waited a while for our check, which made us feel kind of ignored. Fair warning for short people, if you like eating with your feet on the floor, get a table rather than a booth. But the food really was great!
Tasty salmon burger and coleslaw and sweet potato fries. Cheesecake wasn’t great though - had a funny taste and the cherry syrup was very medicinal.
I really do like this place a lot and have eaten here a number of times. The musical entertainment tonight is what saved my general well being. Unfortunately there is not much other than management can do about our experience. The challenge today was The Sun….the one thing that might have helped would have been a tilting umbrella…. Nope….all of their umbrellas are locked in the upright position….that is why the 4 stars….the discomfort of having to dine with the sun directly in my eyes colored my entire experience…I literally had to hold their menu up as part shade many times during the course of our meal…….we are in for many more days of sunshine …management needs to address this issue….
This is your typical clubhouse restaurant at the golf course. Slightly upscale, however very open to all. Casual wear seemed to be fine from what I observed. The service we received was great, we didn't wait long to be seated. My drink was never empty and our food came out promptly. The quality of the food was good and the portions were on par with what the pricing was. This is a great place to pop into if you want a good predictably tasty meal! Lots of parking out front in the parking lot.
Let me begin this by saying we went on Thanksgiving and they had moved everything to an open banquet room to serve more people. The atmosphere in the banquet room was noisy and banquet hall-like but I've eaten in the restaurant and the atmosphere is much better in there. The food was good today, my only quibble was they spread the cranberry sauce on the turkey and I'm not a big fan. Again, the food in the restaurant is much better and the service there is usually great. I upped my ratings because of the usual quality.
Wish I could say something about the food but I didn't eat it, not one bite. There was something unusual right in the middle of the potato salad. Had I been showering, it would've been expected... See my photo. The waitress was friendly and the service was good. I really wanted to like this place and add it to the rotational list.
Food was good. Service was not up to par. If you're a "regular," then you were treated well. There was a small crowd, winding down the Easter holiday weekend. Willing to give this establishment another visit to see if it was just the end of the day 'itis :/.
We had a 6:30 reservation here and arrived to a mostly empty dining room. It took nearly an hour to have our order taken and food served. The server came by once during that time to refill water glasses. We asked for a dessert menu and were told the kitchen was closed. It had closed at 7:00 and the cooks had gone home. However, it was well after 7:00 before we had even been served and all menus and signs indicated the restaurant is open for dinner until 8:00. It was all around a very odd experience. The food was good, the service terrible, and we would not return here.
The restaurant looks nice but could use a good dusting. The food was ok. The fish for the fish & chips was obviously frozen. The fries were over seasoned. The server brought out lukewarm coffee when we asked if she was brewing a fresh pot she confirmed that she was because she knew the coffee she served wasn’t fresh. I’d rather have waited for fresh coffee than to have been served old coffee. I probably won’t opt for this place again. It’s worth a longer drive for fresh food and a clean restaurant.
We have been going out to breakfast here for a few years. It's always been decent. Nothing that would blow your socks off but I've never been disappointed. Until the mother's day buffet today. For starters when we made reservations they didn't tell us is was a buffet or else we wouldn't have gone. Also it was $62/person not including nonalcoholic drinks and the food was TRASH. How are you going to charge that price and serve powdered eggs? The bacon was overcooked and low quality. We probably won't go back. We ended up not even finishing some of our food because it was that bad. We could have gone to a fancy breakfast place and had way better food. I could have had a steak dinner for those prices!
We had the hopes of this being a good experience, especially the brunch on Easter Sunday. Way overpriced, food was average, and atmosphere felt like a cafeteria. I hope changes can be made, because the golf course setting is beautiful!
Went to the River Rock Grill for the first time on Sunday 1/2/24. There where two tables before us, so that makes 3 tables including us. Two servers and a host. The food took 45 minutes. That being said, an eight top came in and they recieved their meals before us. We also had to flag someone down every time we needed more coffee. Maybe they knew we weren't members. Anyhow, not going back. Had high hopes.
A friend of mine and I went to the River Rock Grill. We split a order of fish and chips. Most places the fish is flaky and moist and is in kind of a filet type thing. These were just fish sticks you get from Safeway frozen section like Mrs Paul's fish sticks. They were dry they were overcooked. They were tasteless. The french fries were cold when they came and we could never get any attention from the wait staff. Always had to like wave our arms around like crazy and and whistle even to get their attention. The fish and chips were $18 so should have been a lot better tasting and the fries definitely should have been hot. The place was not busy at all so should have been no reason why we couldn't get attention. It was lunch time.
Been coming here for over 30 years and very disappointed with service and food tonight. Seems like the wait staff is understaffed and overworked. Several parts of our order were wrong and the food tasted "off". The chicken in the quesadilla tasted like beef and the cheese on the Spinach and Artichoke dip was overbearingly strong and not tasty at all. We never leave food on the plate. My friends have also been coming here for over 30 years and have noticed the stark change and also commented on the service and quality of the food. We were wondering if there is new management or a new Chef or cook but either way I would say in the last six months it's not the same River Rock that we have come to know and love. My only reason for leaving this review is to hopefully see improvements. Thank you.
Good service and atmosphere. food quality has declined a lot. Chicken fried steak used to be excellent. Now it's no good. same with burgers. lower quality ingredients and not cooked appropriately. I've gone here 20 years. won't be returning
We made a reservation for breakfast on Father's Day and were quite disappointed. We were informed by our server that they were short staffed, which was understandable, but we still were not quite expecting to spend an hour and a half waiting for our food. We also had to constantly flag down our server to ask for more water and coffee. When our food finally arrived it was disappointing as well. I had ordered the Eggs Benedict and was very disappointed to see my eggs arrive scrambled in hollandaise over two very hard (impossible to cut) English muffins. It looked as though the hollandaise scrambled on accident and they served it to me anyway. We were in such a hurry after having waited so long for our food that we did not send the food back and suffered through the lackluster food. Because of the lateness of everything, we were late to other engagements we had later in the day. Overall such a negative experience. The only reason gave 2 stars and not 1 was because our server was nice and frequently apologized.
Only come here if you have a ton of Time to Kill.. We came here for my daughter's 18th birthday (this is where she chose). First They could not find our reservation of 9. Didnt bring us a kids menu for the 5 year old. (Had to get it myself). Took forever for our lemonades to come out and about another 45 min for them to take our order. Waitress walked right past us where another server seen and helped us with refills. Food was good when it finally did show up But took more than 2 hours to get served and finished with lunch. Sadly We will not be dining here again.
I am not someone to write many reviews but this was such a horrific experience I feel it is necessary to warn you all. It was a very slow Sunday evening and there were less than 10 tables to serve. There were at least 4 waitresses that were working yet it took 30 min before our order was taken. Then it was another 30 min before our food arrived. Not one of the orders was cooked well. It was all so bad if I had given it to someone who was starving they would not have thanked me but threw it in my face because they would think I was trying to make them choke on the overcooked EVERYTHING. The french onion soup was clearly waiting a long time before served to the point where it was basically huge clump of hard cheese and you could not get to the soup. The steak was $36 and was asked to be cooked medium but was so overdone that a lion would have given up on chewing it and left it to decompose in the wild. Then there was the Thai Coconut Chicken (I think that is what it was called) now this was the best thing we got because the vegetables were edible but the chicken was so dry and overdone that it had that dry stringy texture. When we mentioned some of our issues to the waitress and she was extremely rude and back talked when we mentioned the time. We had been there for over an hour when we got our food so we brought it up and she said very rudely "Actually it has only been 30 min, I have it written down right here" now this was the timestamp from when we actually got our order in after over 30 min of being there. If I could rate RiverRock less I would. Do not go here unless you want unreasonable prices for poorly cooked food with awful service.
Mandatory 20% tip for 6 people. Steak wasn't worth the money. They forgot a salad and a veggie side. They didn't bring out our steak knife or wine list until we asked again. And we were waiting a while. Waitress was nice but service wasn't ideal. Shrimp cocktail had chopped up shrimp, not what we expected.
We had breakfast at the river rock this past Sunday and it was the worst experience, the poor waitress was all alone trying to serve tables , seat customers and pour drinks at the bar and take food orders , she was so stressed out she was literally running in the restaurant trying to get everything done. Our food finally came out and was terrible, the French toast wasn’t even cooked in the middle and was warm at best and our other plate was warm at best. The weather was really nice Sunday morning and anyone that has half a brain knows everyone would be out golfing so why wouldn’t you staff the restaurant and bar correctly?
Asked for a burger cooked medium. Took about five bites out of it & it was very raw. Sent back & cook just took patty off bun & cooked a little more. They should have prepared a whole new burger for us. When it came back, It was still very raw the second time. Server said.. oh, he DID cook it more! Ummm.. wrong answer, it's still totally raw! I asked the server.. does this look medium to you? It's still completely raw in the middle. And she says yes, this looks medium. Wow, it was disgusting & totally raw. This server was more concerned about defending the cook than serving an unedible burger to us twice! Will not be back! Yucky food & absolutely terrible service! Don't eat here!!!
Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. Visiting the area for our daughters Club soccer tournament, we needed to run somewhere in between games. With hardly anyone in the place, aside from 3 tables (4 person top, and 2 other 2 tops), that was it. Waited about 10 minutes for them to "get a table together for us" and then sat down. Whike sitting there, the table of 4 women decided to berate our attire (warm clothes with jackets and beanies, which was super odd and childish. We waited 10 more minutes thinking this is strange, no service, and decided to leave at this point. As we left, we look to the bar, and one of the waitresses and 2 other employees are chatting away. She says "oh I was just heading over" while laughing. Would love to think this was a one-off, but honestly doubtful. Won't be back.
Mother’s Day brunch was a joke! So over priced for extremely mid food and horrible service. Automatic 20% gratuity on buffet is WILD!!!! I was charged $22 tip for a sever that brought one beverage. This place is ridiculously overpriced and underwhelming with everything else. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!
We came for Father’s Day. We made a reservation well ahead of time and even confirmed it the day before. When we arrived nothing was ready and they even seemed shocked we showed up. It took 30 minutes to seat us (with a large empty table sitting for at least 20 minutes after they told us it would be ours). Then they sat us but didn’t include enough seats and didn’t help us add more seats and just looked confused; we had to decide how to seat the extra people ourselves. It took 30 minutes at least to ask our order (we had to ask to get our order taken). At least 3 parties came and left without food because they were tired of waiting. We placed our food and drink order at the same time realizing it would take a while. The drinks came after the food and we had to remind them. They forgot one dish; when it was finally made and served it was borderline raw. No one ever asked how our food was and drinks weren’t refreshed (except 3 people had water refreshed about 20 minutes in but just once). The food that was adequately served did taste good but raw is unacceptable. I had a quinoa salad and there was no lettuce (the menu does say it should have greens) and I asked for medium rare on the steak and came rare (fortunately I’m ok with it but many would have been unhappy). Overall it was a hilariously sad experience
I made a reservation for Mother’s Day brunch and based on the website, expected it to be a higher end restaurant experience. Instead, I was disappointed from start to finish. The doors were locked and other people waiting for their tables had to let others in. When you arrive, you’re supposed to check in with the “front desk”, although there was no way to know that and no line or any type of organization, so we stood and waited for awhile before it that became clear. The building itself is dingy and decorated with old living room type furniture. Instead of ordering off a menu, it was a buffet with mediocre and under seasoned food. Service was slow to nonexistent, and to top it off, I had no idea how much it cost until the check came (very late) — just under $200 for 2 people, “gratuity automatically included.” I would literally rather take my mother to Applebees instead of this place - I can count on that to be updated and clean with prompt service and decent food at a reasonable price.
Stopped in for the Mothers Day brunch today, 1 star for getting us in without a reservation on a busy day. After that almost everything was disappointment. My wife and I both tried the shrimp, it was soft with almost no texture. Either several days old or frozen, thawed, refrozen, and thawed again. After the shrimp I stayed away from the crab. The eggs, sausage and bacon were mediocre (just a bit above an Army DFAC). I skipped the salmon, prime rib, and ham, maybe I would have been better off with these! Servers were friendly, but over extended. The french toast and the desert options were the only things the 4 of us tried with no complaints. My own fault for not checking the cost of the buffet before eating had I known it was $60 per person we might have gone for another option. Instead as we finished I got a check for $399 (with 1 senior discount), and a 20% mandatory tip added. If the bill wasn't enough, my stomach is paying for it tonight.
BEWARE!!!! I don't recommend ordering a steak from this establishment. Their chef has no idea how to cook a steak. I ordered a filet mignon and ordered it medium rare. It came to me still mooing blood all over the place. I sent it back and about 15 minutes later it came back WAY over done. I sent that back too. About 5 minutes later the bartender arrives and asked me about it. I explained the situation and she got really defensive when I mentioned about this review saying the waiter is trying his best. I stated to her that this doesn't involve the waiter, it's a problem with the so called cook in the back. Then she just stormed and left.. Great customer service!!. We had a group of 8 people and her comment definitely wasn't professional. What a great establishment, I'll definitely never be back!!
