I had an amazing experience at Hungry Burrito, the Mexican food restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were amazing. But what really made my experience special was the customer service But what really stood out was the exceptional customer service provided by Ernesto. He was friendly, attentive and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. He made excellent recommendations and was happy to answer any questions I had about the menu.

This place has a Mexican themed interior with pics of Frida Kahlo. We had their red sangria, fried calamari, mixed burrito and carne asada. The mixed burrito was super-sized with the Mexican flag right on the shell. The carne asada was very tender and I even complemented the waiter for it being so tender and juicy to the bite. The sangria was very good as well and the calamari wasn't a very large appetizer, but was very crunch.

This is the best place, I come here like 3 times a week. I have tried a bunch of things from their menu and they were all amazing. Alfonso, Alex, Ernesto and Miguel Angel are the best, they have great hospitality and as soon as me and my aunt come in they help us right away. They tell you all the menu options available. Miguel Angel makes the best drinks, totally recommend it.

Good food. Decent food prices. Depending on which waiter you get they can lack attentiveness. I had to ask waiter for napkins and utensils. Also what came as a shock to me was the prices for shots. They charged 22 dollars per little shot. 😳 I’ve been to many restaurants and this was by far the most expensive shot I’ve seen. Also alcohol tastes watered down. Decent overall though.

Average food and average service! They charge you $2 for a tiny portion of anything you ask to complement your dish (ie. pico de gallo, sour cream etc) these should be included in the dish you order (tacos, quesadillas, burritos) it should not be an extra cost!

I like Hungry Burrito and have been here a few times now. Their drinks are great, the food is very tasty, the service is attentive and I love that the restaurant is clean and well maintained. However, today might have been an off day because, my partner and I waited 45 minutes for our food. We ordered one Chile Relleno (the sauce was a tiny bit watery and just warm not hot), one Chicken Enchiladas de Mole (my partner loved this dish) and one Cesar salad (the shaved cheese on top was incredible!!!!!) The frozen margarita was good and strong and so was the michelada! While the food was amazing, I did not understand why the food took so long. This is especially since we were the only customers who had ordered food. The ice in the drinks had time to melt and the frozen drink was no longer frozen by the time the food arrived. I work in the service/restaurant industry myself and I would never let customers wait 45 minutes for food, especially if the restaurant is almost empty and no food orders are being taken at that time. We will be back but maybe just for drinks and take food to go. Great place, great food and drinks but maybe just a little too long of a wait today.

Food was quality. Price point was fair for a decent restaurant in Brooklyn. Atmosphere was nice with a hole in the wall feel. Out door seating was perfect for a pleasant early fall night. The Burrito was too hot to hold and eat so fork and knife it was... Still pretty good and above par for a Mexican restaurant.

Hungry Burrito has good food, a great atmosphere, a great happy hour drink menu, but the service from the server Alex, was warm and friendly in the beginning and his demeanor waned as the time passed. It seemed like we were a bother to him. We were a table of fifteen and he forgot to put water in some of the glasses, and forgot to give some of the people in the party plates for their appetizers. He seemed to only be friendly when he was asking if we wanted another drink. Alex happily took our initial drink orders and even made suggestions. When he was given back the menu and told that we had reordered and paid for the food his attitude changed. I would recommend Hungry Burrito anytime to anyone. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable, but the waiter affected my rating of this restaurant in a big way. I always say that sometimes a chef may has an off day or off moment that affects the food, but good service should never be lacking in a restaurant.

The server Ernesto was extremely rude and denied serving me another wine because I had a toddler they assumed I was driving when I wasn’t , he move and slammed my daughters stroller into our table and told me to “ watch my child because she is running around” yet there were two other families with toddlers , he didn’t offer my daughter a highchair but yet insulted me for having two glasses of wine and being mother . I go the this restaurant weekly and never been so insulted as a paying costumer , when I asked to speak to a manger he said he was the manager yet he is NOt the manager . He should lose his job. All the money i have spent going there weekly we’ll be going to stoker establishment . The waiter we had before Ernesto started working , Alex , was extremely professional and is always great when we go there , Ernesto should be fired im reporting he to the better business bureau

This place is a complete rip off. I went for their grand opening with two others because the bartender told me that they had Happy Hour the whole day for their grand opening. The bartender kept insisting for us to get a beer that no one was buying. I told her no that I prefer Modelo, but she kept insisting.I had one too many drinks and paid the bill without noticing all the EXTRAS they added to my bill. I have a habit of taking pictures of the receipts whenever I go to restaurants. Thank God I did that and have proof. The next day when I looked at the receipt, I noticed the following: 1. THEY ADDED A 20% TIP TO A $158 BILL WHICH TOTALED $31.50!!! FOR DRINKS AT THE BAR!!! Since when you charge gratuity for drinks at the bar!! I actually tipped the bartender $20 bc I didn't noticed they charged me gratuity. 2. It seems like they charged me for happy hour prices only up until a certain time. I guess once they noticed that I was a bit intoxicated, they decided to boost the price on our drinks which they shouldn't have because it was their grand opening and they told me they had Happy Hour all day. They charged me $4.50 for a Michelada and then the second time $4(wired). All margaritas were $5 then $9. Beers $4 then $6. Prices were inconsistent throughout my whole bill. I went back to complain and they told me that I would not get a refund for the gratuity that they charged me or the drinks. Today I went back, I asked for a drinks menu and the bartender told me they didn't have one. This is how they get you with the prices. They just price it however they want bc they don't have the prices anywhere. It was about 2 PM and they said that they didn't have happy hour specials today. So I sat down and had 3 Modelos and my cousin had three Coronas. When I asked for my receipt, all of a sudden the bartender said that they had Happy hour coming up. I guess they didn't want their only two customers to leave. When i got my receipt, to my surprise they didn't charge me a gratuity this time. That confirmed that they took advantage of me because of the state that I was in during the grand opening. When I got my receipt I asked why were the prices different previous time that went and she just ignored me and went on to give me my receipt. Bartenders are new and will mess up your drinks. I asked for a Modelo michelada and my cousin asked for a Corona and she gave me a Corona Michelada and gave my cousin a Modelo. How hard is it to mess this up!! C'MON GUYS!!! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE AND YOUR POCKET!! ASK FOR PRICES ON YOUR DRINKS BEFORE ORDERING OR THEY WILL GET YOU!! TAKE A PIC OF YOUR RECEIPT JUST IN CASE!

I love supporting restaurants in my community but I had a very bad experience in this place. I do not know what was going on with the waiter but he had an attitude since the minute I walk the margaritas taste like they had been water down. It will be the last time spending my money in this place.

What a bad experience at this place, i had good expectations about them and they definitely disappointed, wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, first of all they took so long to bring the food, food arrived and it was not what we wanted, then the waitress had such bad attitude towards us, my partner ordered a drink that never arrived when we asked for it,the waitress seemed to be forgotten about it, I would not come back again, oh and forgot to say that the prices are way to high for what they serve.

Terrible experience. I placed an order and it arrived 30 minutes late. Worse, the main item I ordered—steak nachos—was completely missing. When I called to report the issue, both the restaurant and the delivery driver refused to take responsibility. I even offered to pay in cash if they delivered the missing item, but they told me I’d have to wait another 30–45 minutes. That’s unacceptable. There are plenty of great local Mexican spots that value their customers and get orders right the first time—spend your money there instead.
