Cibo davvero delizioso, abbiamo preso frittura di pesce ( molto gustosa ma leggera), pasta con le alici (voto 12 su 10!) e un’orata veramente eccellente con contorno più che buono. I dessert anche buonissimo. Si vedeva che si mangiava bene ma così bene era inaspettato. La signora Isa è la cameriera dolcissime. Assolutamente consigliato!

Cena per due, coppia. Abbiamo cenato fuori, ambiente esterno curato e luci di design sui tavoli. Molto accogliente e tranquillo malgrado sia a bordo della via principale. Consiglio il secondo turno di cena alle 21.00 ( strada meno affollata). Sebbene possa sembrare un ristorante turistico in realtà i piatti sono ben curati e il cibo di ottima qualità. Abbiamo preso due primi, due secondi un dessert. Tutti molto soddisfacenti. Il vino Bianco della casa è una buona scelta (prodotto dall'azienda agricola 'Arrigoni' i cui vitigni si incontrano nel percorso tra Riomaggiore e Manarola). Spesa sui 90 euro con acqua e 2 caffè. Staff molto gentile. Consigliato, turistico ma in senso positivo.

Ristorantino sulla strada principale di riomaggiore. Pochi coperti, molto accogliente. Personale e servizio perfetti. Abbiamo preso due primi: tagliolini al nero di seppia e ragù di muscoli e l'acciugata. Semplicemente deliziosi. Porzioni abbondanti. Prezzi assolutamente adeguati al livello dei piatti e al posto.

Situato in ottima posizione unisce, come anticipato nello storytelling a inizio menu, ricercatezza ad una cucina tradizionale. Ristorante curato all interno e ben sviluppato all esterno sopratutto con il gioco di luci dall altro lato della strada. Ho gradito il gesto dell "assaggio" di benvenuto (diverso da un giorno con l altro). I piatti mi sono sembrati ponderati come quantità, semplici ma con quel tocco di personalità data dallo chef che nn guasta mai. Staff molto gentile, accomodante e preparato. Carta dei vini più che soddisfacente e ben riforniti anche a livello di spiriti e digestivi. Consigliatissimo

Cena in due, siamo rimasti soddisfatti della preparazione del cameriere e la bontà dei piatti. Prezzi nella media e giusti per il posto e le portate. Punto a favore che si trovi attaccato alla stazione, facile da raggiungere.

Cena in due con ottimi piatti serviti. Il locale è molto carino con al suo interno una piccola grotta, da qui il nome. Servizio veloce e cordiale e qualità del cibo.

Da non perdere!! Un ristorante piccolo e intimo nel cuore di Riomaggiore! La pasta “Acciugata” è uno dei piatti più buoni mai provati😍: acciughe, lime, pinoli, uvetta e pan grattato è un mix di sapori eccezionale! Ottimo anche il fritto misto!

Great little Location with really good food! I had the catch of the day, which was the sea bass, steamed whole in olive oil, olives, tomatoes, and peas. Don’t use all your bread on the table dip, save some to soak up the juices from the fish!

Hidden gem. We decided to try this place, despite not being crowded, and I’m so glad we did. To start, the bread was warm - it’s a win for me. We ordered the seafood spaghetti and baked sea bream. This was hands down my best meal in Italy, especially the seafood spaghetti. Sounds easy, but I’ve never had anything to well balanced, fresh and flavourful. Service was 10/10 too. Give them a chance when you’re in town, and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

One of the best meals we had in Cinque Terre! We stumbled upon Il Grottino and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The pesto pasta was vibrant and fresh — classic Ligurian flavor done right. But the real standout was the spaghetti frutti di mare with squid ink — rich, briny, and unforgettable. Honestly, it’s the one dish I keep thinking about long after the trip. And don’t skip dessert — it was surprisingly good and wrapped up the meal perfectly. Cozy setting, warm service, and food that lingers in your memory.

Never judge a book by it's cover. My group was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Initially, we had skipped thid place due to it being lightly packed on a saturday night, but had to go back after we were racially profiled in another nearby restaurant. I had the baked sea bream, which for all i care could have been called the sea dream, as it was the most delicious fish i had eaten in my 3 week trip to Italy. My brother in law had a seafood pasta in tomato sauce, which could only have been prepared by the pasta boss. One of the best pasta sauces i had this trip. Service was top notch. Our 3 desserts came out in 3 minutes. My wife had been complaining of how long our dinners were taking. We'd go in at 7, and leave by 10. But in Il Grittino, we were done in 1.5hours. In a vacation packed with many acitivities, we hate our time being hostaged by long dinners just because service was so bad. None of that here. All in all this was a perfect experience!

An absolutely wonderful dining experience. Service was prompt and respectful, and the ambiance quaint, highlighting the charms of Riomaggiore. The food was the best I've tried in Italy. The pesto pasta was fresh, with strong floral notes of the basil and garlic. The mussel ravioli is a MUST try - the dish was absolutely loaded with mussels, savory and satisfying.

During my stay in Riomaggiore I went to this restaurant 3 times and it was totally worth it. The quality of the food is high and the service is very professional. Even in very busy times I was always able to get a table after some waiting time, most of other restaurants around just send you home if you don’t have any reservation.

Came here my first night in Riomaggiore which also happened to be my birthday. The food was exceptional! I've never had anything like it. I had the buffalo mozzarella to start and I've never had a pesto suffle before but it was unreal!! First time eating mussels too in the most amazing ravioli. And I've had many a tiramisu in my travels in Italy but this was by far the best!! Amazing restaurant!!

It’s a beautiful restaurant (both patio and the inside). I had the Gli Spaghetti Dolce Mare (Mixed seafood with tomatoes & olive oil) this is by the the best pasta I’ve had in my 7 days in Italy! There was a generous amount of calamari (the small ones, which is tender and thin), clam, shrimps (perfectly cooked and so tender), fish, mussels. At the end of my meal, there was so much logre seafood tuna pasta. I think this one is overlooked! This is definitely more of a fine dining style Italian food, not the typical home cooking or “international menu”, it’s worth every dollar! I will come back! The service is the most professional I had in 3 days of my stay in Cinque Terre. Great atmosphere and overall one of my best dining experience in Italy. And they didn’t turn me away just because I was juts one person.

We planned on going to the restaurant across and they were fully booked so we came over to hwt lucky with a table. This place is by far the best pasta dish we've had in Italy 🇮🇹, coming from Milan, Venice and Florence, definitely stick with the seafood! We ordered the muscles in white wine sauce and the octopus was delicious not fishy at all and the flavor is perfect! We also ordered the homemade pasta with pesto ( the pesto here is like no other completely fresh). We also ordered the seafood spaghetti with a slightly spicy( I highly recommend) so delicious the perfect flavoring. For dessert we got the tirimisu ( very fresh ! You can tell it wasn't soggy and homemade)

Disponibilità e cortesia contraddistinguono il Grottino. Si mangia bene e si spende il giusto considerando che in zona tutto è veramente caro, forse troppo caro.

Abbiamo cenato io e la mia ragazza in vacanza a riomaggiore. Abbiamo scelto di cenare all’aperto e ve lo consiglio perché vi mettono sulla strada in un angolino molto tranquillo. Cibo molto buono, spaghetti alle vongole e spaghetti ai frutti di mare. Tanta roba!!! Anche le porzioni molto generose. Servizio veloce e prezzo più che onesto considerando che siamo a riomaggiore a 5 min dal mare.

Questo ristorantino che si trova all'inizio del paese, con una location accogliente, invita ad entrare. Scelto per caso io e mio marito siamo riusciti a trovare un tavolo per due e si è rivelata una cena molto piacevole grazie alla gentilezza dei camerieri sempre precisi, disponibili e sorridenti (cosa non da poco qua in Liguria). Cibo buono, porzioni medio-grandi, materia prima fresca, rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo considerando di essere a Riomaggiore.

Linguine with fresh anchovies was delicious! The menu said aromatic bread, but that meant bread crumbs on top of the pasta!? It was tasty, but also a bit dry. Desserts were divine! Atmosphere inside is cozy. They also have an indoor-outdoor veranda and seating at the curb across the street (!?) Service was a bit slow and inattentive at times. Wine by the glass 8€ and selections of bottles were 30-40€. A pitcher of house wine 12€. Once again on this trip, I had to ask for a spoon when eating spaghetti!?? Location molto carina. Antipasti non male. La frittura di pesce non ha un gran sapore. Come primi abbiamo preso spaghetti con le vongole, abbastanza immangiabili dal sapore di bruciato. Personale molto gentile. Prezzi alti.

Gentilissimi...un po' come tutti nel luogo. Ottime le trofie al pesto, il branzino e il Fish end Chips... Il dessert chiamato tiramisù...bellissimo coreograficamente, ma non aveva niente a che fare con il vero tiramisù...... Non giustificato il prezzo del tutto

Ristorante piccolo ma ben organizzato, dotato di una veranda esterna. L'ambiente risulta molto rustico chic grazie al soffitto ad arco interamente composto da mattoni a vista. Nel menù si trovano quasi esclusivamente piatti di mare, tuttavia vengono anche proposte pietanze adatte a chi è vegetariano o non amante del pesce. I piatti da noi consumati sono risultati in linea generale discreti ma, i ravioli ai muscoli erano decisamente troppo salati, mentre il pesto, sicuramente casalingo, mancava di carattere sembrando più una crema delicata. Inoltre la scelta del tipo di pasta abbinata al pesto non ha aiutato a risaltare le caratteristiche del piatto, dando la sensazione di essere un pochino scotta. Il servizio è buono ma non molto presente e veloce tanto che, dopo 15 minuti abbondanti di attesa, abbiamo dovuto chiedere noi la lista dei dolci. Tutto considerato i prezzi risultano un po' alti. Assolutamente necessaria la prenotazione con un buon anticipo, specie in concomitanza di giorni festivi.

Siamo venuti a provare questo ristorante e devo dire che già dall' accoglienza (senza sale) sì capiva tutto ..un posto palesemente turistico e con prezzi folli 2 piatti di spaghetti ai frutti di mare (surgelati) 2 bottiglie di acqua e 0.5 litri di vino in caraffa (innacquato) 70 euro..da evitare

Era un Giovedi di marzo, fuori stagione e con il locale non affollato: Il locale è accogliente ed il personale è stato gentile e puntuale. Purtroppo i prezzi seppur in linea con il luogo sono troppo alti per ciò che si mangia. Le porzioni sono scarse ed i sapori non sempre buoni. Buoni i primi ben conditi, ma le porzioni piccolissime ( 18 euro per 50 grammi pasta, praticamente un 1\2 primo) . Gli antipasti invece sono così: impepata di Cozze: 20 cozze circa, il sapore andava dal non sapore al rancido di alcune cozze non fresche, la bruschetta agliata era la cosa buona più dell'impepata, il sapore del sughetto non pervenuto, solo pepe, olio ed acqua della cannella. Il secondo antipasto invece si chiamava IL POLPO: che poi si è rilevato un singolo e solitario tentacolo. Il nome giusto poteva essere 1/8 di Polpo. La mia compagna dice che il sapore era buono, meno buona la consistenza. Abbiamo pagato( ci hanno fatto lo sconto di 4 euro sul totale) e siamo usciti dal locale con la sensazione che il business del turismo, ha inglobato tutto e tutti in queste terre.. si spende tanto ed in cambio si ha poco.

Qualità del cibo ottima, ma non posso accettare che cenare in un ristorante (non di lusso) delle 5terre costi il doppio rispetto a qualsiasi altro posto solo perché "così fan tutti". Perlomeno, a me 60 euro per un antipasto, due primi, due calici di vino e acqua mi sembra eccessivo.

Si salva solo il locale(curato il giusto), la posizione e il primo di acciughe(era ok) Il resto era completamente insufficiente Antipasto di cozze più insipido che abbia mai mangiato, prodotto scadente Primo di gnocchi con baccalà, gnocchi immangiabili e insipido il baccalà Primo di Tagliolini neri troppo olio e poco sapore Costo €110 per 3 persone Non consiglio c'è altro e di meglio sicuramente

I only very rarely write a negative review but this place definitely deserves it. The food is decent but what really didn't work was when we asked for the bill. The guy handling the bill started yelling at us when we asked to split it between multiple cards. This seems like such a simple request that his reaction was unexpected and incredibly rude! I really didn't appreciate his tone and demenear and I highly recommend avoiding this place. Siamo stati bene fino a quando non abbiamo chiesto il conto. Il signore che ci ha portato lo scontrino è inveito contro di noi praticamente urlandoci in faccia quando abbiamo chiesto di dividere il conto su più carte. I miei amici al tavolo sono stranieri e sono rimasti assolutamente sconvolti visto che continua ad urlarmi contro solo in italiano. Sconsiglio vivamente a tutti di evitare questo posto visto che trattano i clienti in modo osceno e scandaloso.
