we absolutely loved this meal!!! learn some basic italian to order your food and enjoy the freshest pasta + sauce combo of your choice. the woman working in the restaurant was kind and warm to us, and watching her prepare our food was super cool. the pasta was the best we had in CT - you don’t need to sit down at a fancy place to enjoy bomb pasta and incredible pesto!! the serving sizes were generous and i loved that you could customize your combo. give them a try, you won’t be disappointed 😊

best pasta we’ve had in Italy!! don’t listen to the negative reviews, this place is a gem. we got the pesto trofie and beef ravioli with ragu, both tasted great, good portion sizes, and a fair price.

Excellent little tiny place. I had the mafeldine with almond and caper sauce.. Simple and wonderful. Some reviews seem to call them rude, but I had no problem and the other people who were not exactly polite or italian speaking were treated well.

Best take out pasta we had in Riomaggiore. Tasty and home made. I don't speak Italian sadly but managed just fine to point and get exactly what i wanted. Great boxes to eat on the steps or the waterfront, or to bring back to wherever you're staying!

Completely positive experience of this place. We wanted a takeaway meal that wasn't pizza or focaccia, and this little place caught our eye. We liked that the pasta is home made and cooked freshly to order for you. The older lady that served my partner reacted positively and graciously to his beginner's Italian. We ordered the caper & almond pasta and meat ravioli. These come with disposable cutlery and napkins. The pots may look small and are not filled to the brim, but empty the contents out onto a plate, and you have the equivalent of restaurant sized portions. The caper & almond sauce malfadine was delicately flavoured and very moreish. The meat ravioli with Bolognese sauce was full flavoured and delicious. No need to add Parmesan cheese to these, they were great just as they were. Highly recommended.

Definitely worth a try! We went for the homemade pasta with pesto, which was delicious, and there are also a few other sauce options available for takeout at a very reasonable price. You can enjoy it on the go or at one of the many charming spots in Riomaggiore with a beautiful view. The lovely elderly lady — a real auntie figure — running the place might not speak English, which could be a bit stressful for her, but if you try saying a few simple words or phrases in Italian, she’ll reward you with a generous, heartwarming smile that can brighten your whole day.

Pasta was super good. The Italian aunty will prioritise making your pasta before taking other customers orders so you know she’s about the food. Serving size was massive, pesto pasta is a must. Ignore all the low rating comments about service and whatever. It’s a takeaway place and food is amazing. That’s all you need. Who cares if she doesn’t stand to chat with you, she has to cook the pasta

We had read the comments about the “rude” service but the food being very good and we decided to try it. Upon our arrival, we realized it was only a lady and her husband running the shop and that everything was homemade. The lady at the counter was a bit cold but not rude at all, she didn’t really speak and after a few minutes we ordered. We watched her meticulously make the pasta like an Italian nona cooking at home. We had a bottle of wine and asked if we could use her bottle opener which she accepted with a polite smile. That’s when we realized the reason she wasn’t speaking was probably because she didn’t really speak English. We used google translate to tell her that the pasta looked amazing and she thanked us with the warmest sincere smile! I think people misjudge her and she is actually very very sweet! For the pasta, it was absolutely incredible. We took 4 different sauces and all of them had their own unique flavours! It was the best pasta we’ve ever had. It was very affordable too! An absolute must in Riomaggiore! Thank you for the delicious meal :)
