Service at this restaurant is excellent! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was served quick and it was very good! I recommend the taquitos (guacamole is fresh and delicious) and the carnitas burrito with rice and beans! Handicap accessible.

Great late night Mexican cuisine; open 24 hours. The only other place, I've seen in this part of riverside; except for Dennys, but Alvaro's has exponentially better taste, and value. I have only been there in the owl hours. Only place to get a large horchata or jamaica when the sun goes down. Will be going back

Most delicious breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. I ordered the bean, cheese, potato, and egg burrito and it was seriously so delicious. I had never ordered one with the refried beans before and I have been craving it ever since! I will definitely be returning. 20/10 recommend!

Love the fact that they're open 24/7. I was surprised that their horchata was really good since it comes from the machine and I prefer mine homemade but it was actually satisfying and not a let down like other places. Also they aren't stingy with their meat! The tacos are served on normal/big tortilla and they put more than a decent amount of meat which is a huge plus if you ask me. If you like spicy things then I highly recommend their red salsa. I usually like green salsa but in this place I can't deny the red one. Definitely recommend eating here

Probably one of the most underrated Mexican food spots in town! The staff here is great! The food quality is excellent as well! All at the perfect price. If you're on this end of town, I suggest you stop by!

It was open well past 10pm on a Tuesday evening. The service was great and friendly and the food was fresh and delicious!! It was very clean and the portions were huge!! I would highly recommend this restaurant! It was a bit pricey but very much worth it!

I will always say this is my #1 spot to get food they never disappoint! Update 8/22/25 came to get a breakfast burrito for my dad wanted to add bacon until i noticed the price! They asked for 3.81 for added bacon to the burrito, and they put a bunch of potatoes so basically my dad ate a potato burrito! Never getting the breakfast burrito again.

I think they are the fastest most accurate crew in town . I never have to wait for food or have had any issues the food is hot and never cold they are always busy which is a good thing I recommend the carne asada fries they are loaded and serve 2 for sure.

Drove from perris for the order of fries. Clean restaurant, friendly cashier. Ordered 2 order of fires large drink. Food was hot fires were fresh, meat was hot also. Portion is huge. Would recommend this place. No drive thru tho.

Everytime I go to riverside I make sure I come here for there carna asada French fries. This place does them right in every way. The price is a little high but to be honest it's well worth the price if you think about it. They use the real large foam container that hold enough food to feed 3 people. They put a lot of everything. Every single time I've when in there they always make it just the same way. Very consistent and the crew that works there are very welcoming and helpful with the menu. The carna asada burritos are huge and full of meat. We usually have them cut them in half. The flavor and the taste is dead on. The fries are cooked just right not very crispy but just before and the cheese beans and sour cream and carna asada just go together like white on rice. Speaking of rice. They have these rice bowls that are fantastic and just right for one person. Talking about all of this food is making me hungry. Atmosphere is chill.good view if ur sitting by the window. U get to see the oldest orange tree in all of California right across the street. Good stop to get great food

You come here for 3 things ! Carne asada fries/ nachos bomb! Street tacos are huge come with pico and quac! Or the hardshell tacos 🌮 I call this the munchie or drunk people food. Don’t bother with the rest of the menu, thank me later also location gets sketchy at night so don’t go alone and no drive thru.

I like the food because it's not spicy. I always take it home, the atmosphere isn't great. They are open late, so nice after dancing.

The asada quesadilla was delicious, a bit greasy but that's just more flavor. If I have one complain it would be the bathroom it is located outside in a poorly lit area that at night can be a bit shady looking.

Let me tell you that if you are craving some carne asada nachos or a burrito or anything else and it's late then you probably already ran into the usual issue these days that no one hardly stays open late anymore because of the pandemic supposedly. These guys not only stay open late but they pump out decent food and they always have a great attitude and customer service every time we drop by there. The carne asada nachos were top-notch compared to a lot of other places locally for this kind of takeout oh, and as usual we will continue to go back as long as the service stays the same! If you haven't stopped by yet, try them out. The inside is a little dated and nothing to write home about but we usually take ours to go and as long as the food is good that's all that matters to me. Thanks guys for helping to feed people who work late shifts at night! Lol

Used to love Albertos, but I feel like such a big fat man when I eat this stuff. It hasn't changed though, it's dirty inside, noone speaks English, but it's tasty. Tasty and artery clogging.

The food was cold and tortillas were hard and cold too. A little disappointed. I also noticed that their area was not clean. A little improvement and attention is needed.

This use to be the spot back in the day when it was an Albertos. Always liked going there in the early morning hours. Just isn't the same.

Definitely mexican fast food. I got the carnitas super fries. Toppings were great. Fries were floppy without crunch.

Place is usually not clean and they don't have air conditioning so it's better to sit outside. Frequented by the homeless so help if you can. The food is average and the service is good.

If you're looking for a quick eat this is it. Nothing really stands out. Taquitos are pretty standard, burrito are ok. I would suggest the one off of Van Buren. I think the service is a bit better.

This is one of the best ones in Riverside. It was the popular spot when I was younger and it was called "Alberto's". Unfortunately, all these similarly named spots went down in quality when they changed the name. This one is one of the better ones though. A lot of the other ones are barely worth going to.

Food is decent the lady at the drive through isn't very friendly they charge for extra salsa and charge to use your debit card.

This place was not bad. Food was fresh, not full of salt, and staff was friendly. It’s not a fancy place but not bad for a quick bite. I had the chili rellenos with rice and beans. Good portion size, way too much for me but I always like to get my moneys worth! They had all the traditional dishes, tacos, burritos, enchiladas and so much more! Average cost per plate was about $13. I get it, families come here so there are gumball machines for kids, but guns?? These machines dispense toy guns so kids are running around pretend shooting at eachother, as if they arent already exposed to too much gun violence as it is… not a big fan, but at least the food was decent.

I ordered some food to go, 2 meals. When I arrived home, the plates were mostly beans, which weren't all that. I was eating my beef enchiladas, which were low budget, and my wife pulled a long black hair out of her soft tacos (supposed to be crunchy). I called the restaurant and before they could answer the phone, my wife found another one. I explained to the person who answered that there were hairs in our food and she didn't seem to care at all. She wanted to know what I ordered. I told them it was in the tacos, and she didn't seem concerned. I ended up hanging up, and they ended up losing 2 customers. See Ya!

This place is alright. 5 out of 10 actually. the salsa was pretty good and it's not full or crowded. plenty of parking. looks somewhat clean. and the prices are typical for a stand like this. I have a taco/enchilada combination plate and was full. there was something about the taste of the beans and rice that I can't put a nail to it, so I'll come back and dissect it. It could be the type of grease, oil, shortening, or lard that they use to cook with. I can't place it. Yes I recommend this place if you're on a budget and in a hurry.

The portions are worth the price, no doubt. I had their loaded French fries, and unfortunately I can't say too much about it. The flavor was kinda bland even with sauce and all that cheese, and it may have just been a random occurrence but their coke from their soda fountain was also a bit strange. Not an experience I regret, but not one I'm all that interested in repeating.

Got the #19 plate: 2 Chile rellenos with sides of rice and beans. It comes with a choice of flour or corn tortillas (always get corn!!!). The Chile rellenos were a bit underwhelming. I’ve had better ones at other places. But for the price and the amount, you get your fill. I snagged a bite of carne asada fries from my friend and I hate that I didn’t get them. Great for really late night outs

Very clean, the food is tasty . . . It's an 'Alberto's' clone. I do prefer the taste of Alberto's guacamole and salsas over Alvaro's. We would definitely come back again & try more of their menu as they offer more specials than Alberto's.

I've been going here for years since my kids were little. For me this place is a hit or miss so I'm not basing this review on a one time experience. On a Saturday morning I ordered the chorizo burrito they were delicious. The next time I got the 5 taqitos they were cooked just right not to crunchy or burnt. Then I was craving carne asada fries. They had no flavor what so ever, very disappointing. Lastly I was craving enchiladas. The sauce tasted like it came from a can and the cheese wasn't melted in or outside of the tortilla

Got a burrito that comes with bacon,eggs,cheese, and hash browns. I Saw the Sign from the street $4 I'm a big guy so when I order the burrito for $4 the guy let me know that it was pretty small that they only use one egg in it, he pointed at the sign on the wall for the regular one for $7 so I ordered that one it comes with bacon egg cheese hash browns I did not get the hash brown potatoes which end up making it a very very small burrito it was almost a I don't think I'll be back I still have half of that burrito I'll post a picture later

Great Carne Asada fries IF you go at the right time.The cook on shift at 2 am cooks fries so hard they literally cut my gums EVERY TIME! I've been going twice a month for almost 2 years now. When I club, it's my groups first after-club pick for food. They taste fine just shred my gums pretty annoyingly. If you party/club/stay up late and don't like to shred your gums, go before 2am and get the fries! Other than that the food is pretty damn good. My Dad had some great tacos and their chile relleños are awesome and my mom loves their refried beans. Prices are fair. Lots of bums and crack heads but its the ghetto, what else would you expect?

Good people but food was halfway tasteless the shrimp were not done and watery, it needed alot of hit sauce to fix, food was clean and portion was good just no flavor and half way cooking.

Service was good but the “FOOD QUALITY’ was verga . Dry carnitas , flavorless rice , and no salt in the beans . Non flavor having . Also overcharged . I won’t return .

I've been going here to eat for over 20 years. As soon as I could drive i was there at least once a week in high school. Last time i got my usual Carne asada breakfast burrito extra red salsa. The meat was either bad or organ meat or something, tasted like liver. I took a few bites and got sick. Super duper disappointed.

They need to work on their customer service skills. I ordered a kid's special with my meals and did not receive it. We got the drink for it, but no food. When our order arrived, I noticed the kid's meal was not there. I asked the lady behind the counter, she looked at the receipt and said that there was no kid's meal ordered. I explained to her that I received my cup and already paid my total. She kept insisting that there was no kid's meal ordered. Instead of arguing with me, she could have simply went to the person who took my order and went from there.

Paid 7.09 for the breakfast burrito. I asked for egg, sausage, and beans, no potatoes. It didn't have potatoes, it also didn't have any beans. It was also very salty, probably will not go back.

Order my carnitas burrito that I order all the time this time I don't know if he had time to make it but he defied my meet. I try to eat somewhat healthy all the grease in my burrito with cool. It is hard too chew. This is the 2nd to 3rd badd experience I've hired. So I figure they don't like certain races in their Establishment.

The food was great however they messed up on my order by missing out an item. I paid for all of my food and had a burrito missing also the lady had charged a 5.12 tip that i did not authorize. So they got me for a 5.12 tip and 8.00 for the burrito i will not be returning.

Hands down this place had the best "SUPER FRIES" that you could find in so cal,PERIOD! Been going to this place & have been a returning customer for quit some time now. This place was my go to spot not only for there delicious food but also because the customer service was very welcome in and I always knew each time my food was being cooked and made with love each and every time as the cook just always seemed to enjoy his job and took pride in every last super Fri. He mad every time I went there up untell last night when I walked in as I usually do with the expectation of being greeted buy the 2 men that work nights and always acted like they cared about there customers and welcomed me and acted like they cared and valued me as a customer and would always chit chat and ask me how my day was as they definitely know me as a returning customer and last night well that was far from what I got... As I walked in I greeted them with smile on my face full of excitement to get what I always came for and that was my "SUPER FRIES" cooked with love and perfection as they always we'r! But they didn't even smile or act like they new who I was. Seemed odd as they both didn't even welcome or acknowledge me mumbling in Spanish and turn there backs towards me. So I approached the counter and the guy came to take my order. So with a rude look as if he was not happy to take my order he asked me what I wanted and I explained and knows my useal order but this time no he was rude told the cooked that didn't even acknowledge me when I was trying to say hi as I usually do and he very well knew I was saying hi and asking him how he was doing and I'm happy to be there to get his " SUPER FRIES" that no other cook makes them as he does and I was iknored. Very very rude from the both of them to the point I started thinking to myself i probley should cancel my order and leave but I decided to give them the benefit of dough and when I finally got my food and simply asked for salt and was told they don't have salt for me and that they only have salts for the customers that appreciate them and THIS IS WERE I ALMOST LOST IT... as he was saying they only have extra things for the customers that appreciate them (as hes talking he reached down to the tip jar pulled out a couple doller bills and a five) then orocproceto hold it up and tell me how he only had salt and extra things and only cooks there for good for the customers that value them and leave them tips each and every time they come in. So I knew right there they were upset cause I didn't tip them and that's why they were rude from the start and to top it off my fries were just cold not cooked right and very very awful and did not eat but one bite cause it all came together why my fries were tooken to the back we're they were out of my vision as I thought it was strange when I seen that but I knew there was nothing strange about it and we'll you can only imagine as I did what was really going on! The guy there just grabbed a handful of raw carne asada through it on the grill did not wash his hands and started making someone else's burrito so if you get sick and you ate here today that is why.... Food wasn't fresh, the meat was very dried. And when we were leaving, the cook was having an argument with someone he chased him out, and we felt very unsafe.

This place used to be good, I don't know what happened, but I asked for some super fries with no tomatoes and no onion, I got home, I should've checked before I left the restaurant. Well I get home and what do you know, onions and tomatoes all over the place, so I start picking at it and eating it because I was very hungry, and I find 4 hairs in it. I thought the first 2 hairs were mine, so I'm like ok no big deal. Then I noticed it was black and Curley, I don't have black nor Curley hair. I got grossed out and threw it away. I threw $11 in the trash. I will never come back here again
