Seafood and Crawfish

I took my husband here for the first time. With him being from the East Coast he is accustomed to a certain quality in seafood, and he has been disappointed or otherwise settling with our West Coast offerings. George hesitantly ordered fried oysters, while I ordered fried catfish. As he began nibbling on his meal he emphatically expressed his delight and said he would gladly be returning to this restaurant again. Needless to say, I was pleased. So if you're a serious seafood connoisseur, looking for a place in the IE who does it right, stop by this little gem!

seafood, delicious. Staff is always nice even when they have a full house. Looking forward to returning with my coworkers. This place has a great atmosphere. Makes me feel like I am back in Sacramento.

The flavors were great, and the preparation was excellent. We added a couple corn cobs and some garlic bread, and it was great. We also had the fried shrimp and fries, which were also excellent. We took it to go, and everything was thought of, down to a paper table covering in the to-go bag. The prices were reasonable, the service was good, and the food was great. I'll definitely be back.

My first time ordering and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Fried Cat Fish with fries it was delicious. Customer service was great! Sarah greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcomed I really enjoy visiting places with great service and great food. I will be back! I did return several times but the last 2 times my order had fish that wan not fully cooked. I'm not afraid of Sushi however if I wanted Sushi I would have gone to Tomo Sushi instead. Come on cook make sure the pieces are similar in size so they can cook at the same time. Service is still good.

The waitress was pleasant and the taste of the food was great. This is by far the best tasting seafood boil I have tasted. However, I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the King crab. The crab legs hardly had any meat. Not to mention, we paid $57 for approximately 5 of those legs. Killing these baby King crabs before they can be great.

Food’s phenomenal! BUT Pricing continues to increase and does NOT match the website prices , also the staffs a little short and rude!! Just trying to help the restaurant by pointing out maybe they sprayed cleaner too close to the cups… who knows?! Also according to the “Department of Weights and Measures” you must honor your prices seen by public (ei: website)

This place is a really fun first time "Let's try something different guys! " Kinda place. The food is good and they also serve beer. No mixed drinks or anything like that for the ladies which is a bummer. They could use a more experienced servers and hosts which is quickly noticeable.

After coming here a few times now I have to say the flavor is delicious but value for price is a little less then average . They are kinda skimpy On the amount they give for 1 pound of shrimp you get exactly 12 shrimp and definitely was not happy with my 1 pound of king crab they only gave 3 legs and they weren’t even that big :/ for 35$ I definitely expect better or more king crab 🦀

Food is great but the host in front during the night staff seems as if they don't like taking orders past 9pm. I called the last time and they didn't want to take my to go order, saying that "we can take your order over the phone but we cant start making your food until you come in person. But this time we will do it." Im thinking LOL THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF PLACING A ORDER OVER THE PHONE?!??? I might as well order in person!.... Recently, i pulled up at 9:30 to get some dinner. As I'm at the light waiting to turn in I see the guy outside in the front standing there. As i turn in, I see him look at my car and then grab 2 cones outside, walk inside, and shut the front doors (I'm now guessing that he's signaling that they don't feel like taking anymore customers). At this time it is 9:30pm exactly. I notice this is the same guy who told me that statement over the phone the previous time I called. I get out and walk inside (knowing it's not closing time yet) and ask "You guys are taking orders correct?" He hesitates and tells me they're closed at 9:35pm. I told him last time I placed a order at 9:40pm, drove here, and picked it up no problem.. He hesitates again because he has nothing to say to that and repeats the same thing "Yeah we have to start cleaning so we close at 9:35". I told him okay well then you guys should probably lock your doors (as I'm confused as to why I was able to order the previous time). As I leave I see another customer pull up and walk in to get some dinner. After about 15 seconds I see the customer walk out. He told her the same thing. He then walls out 7-10 seconds after her with a broom and dust pan "sweeping" the floor. Clearly he was trying to assure us that he wasn't lying and that he was cleaning before we got there hahaha...The food here is fantastic that's why I go, but the night shift host seems as if they get lazy once it's past 9. I understand they close at 10pm on their hours list, not 9:35...I've worked in the restaurant industry for 3 years, I understand its tiring, you want to go home, you deal with customers all day, and you need to start cleaning up early before closing time (like every job). But, that doesnt mean you turn away customers because you're ready to go home. Blaming the kitchen having to clean up gets old. I used to do it too when I was working in the food industry lol. And so did the rest of my coworkers. If I was able to order at the time I did last time, I should have been able to order again. Not a huge biggie but definitely disappointing when it was clear as day that the host was lazy and did not feel like taking anymore orders. Especially after driving all the way there just to deal with something so small and inconsiderate. Besides that I love the food here

First time and was not impressed by service. No one greeted upon entering facility or told they us they will be right with us. As a first time guess this created confusion as no one said whether we should wait to be seated or to take a seat. It took about 10 minutes for someone to actually come up to us. Ones order was taken no one came to check up on our table and my order was wrong when it arrived at my table. Food was good but service was not impressive.

Ordered over the phone , pulled in and got out to use the restroom while Me and my kids wait on my food. There was no one in the front to greet, on my way out the door a lady followed me and stood at the door staring at me and my kids as we got into the car . She literally stopped in the front of the door trying to see around the balloons in my car through my windshield . After 5 mins of her starring I finally looked at her and she never looked away, finally I re parked in a different spot not in view of the door as she watched the entire time. Very uncomfortable! Almost made me cancel my order and I should have ! The crawfish (Cajun xtra spicy) was not good at all. I am from Louisiana and I hate when people claim Cajun food and it has no seasoning cooked IN the food! Crawfish is normally 5.95 a lb for us so to spend $16+ on unseasoned food is pretty upsetting especially when I ask multiple questions about how they cook it and the flavor.

Got terrible food poisoning within 2 hours. I threw up everything I ate and then proceeded to dry heave for several hours. My bowls emptied in liquid form. After several hours of naps and cold sweats, I started to be able to keep water down. The next day, my sides are very sore due to the violent nature of the vomiting. I'm leaving this this review here to request a full refund to my girlfriend who paid $125 for the meal. If not refunded, I will leave more reviews. We were there on Sunday afternoon. Last name on the paid card Reyes. Do the right thing!!!

Service is bad. They don't make you feel welcome. I had to ask for everything. Waiters never come to check on table. Food is just alright. Nothing special. No limes only yellow lemons. No ketchup on table. No salt and pepper set up.

We've been coming to this place for years and every time we go, we say we will never go back..today was the final straw. Althought the food is good, sauce is good and it's close by, the service needs serious work. We usually get seated and have to wave someone to take our drink order and pur food order. I would understand if they are busy when this happens, but most of the time they are hanging out talking by the register. Not once has anyone ever stopped by to ask if we need refills, anymore lemons, etc. The service is very poor and not worth the overpriced seafood anymore. I will not be coming back. If you don't mind poor service and don't mind having to wave someone for more water, or anything else then this place is for you.

I went to this restaurant on the 12 of February. My wife and I had a pound of shrimp each and I had 6 oysters to myself. Fast forward to today the oysters got me sick and constantly going to the bathroom. The lemons where not good at all, they charge extra if you ask for more. The shrimp was salty and the sauce was not spicy at all or good. I don't think the oysters were fresh either. Stay away from this restaurant. Find a better spot honestly.

This place is filth, its covered in caked on food bacteria from the food splatter. And yes the food is overpriced in comparison to the quantity, and they up charge to remove the heads, also I was presented a bowl of two big lemons because they couldn't be bothered to slice and prep the food. If you eat here please do not touch the seat partitions or the walls... and don't count on using the bathroom, its blocked off in the back for the employees personally.. so don't worry the staff is lazy and comfortable if you're into that sort of thing. Oh and the music is whatever the hosts heart desires lmao sitting through her judgemental Playlist was so annoying. The sauce is basic, tomato sauce and seasonings... I mean it tasted good but not enough to buy my silence.

I went here with my dad for lunch. The fish tasted like really old oil and was dark brownish black. My shrimp was okay it was cooked right but I ordered a Sprite and it didn't state right. We got charged for changing the drinks. The waiter was on his phone the whole time and he expected us to tip him which was shocking because for one I've never been told to tip someone and secondly he was telling us how to like it was our first time. I always leave a tip because it helps the waiters and its to show appreciation. I left him a tip but it wasn't how I normally tip.

We tried this restaurant for the first and last time yesterday. This was the worst seafood I have ever eaten. The catfish had no flavor and instead of fish and chips it should have been called flavorless nuggets, the pieces were so small. The calamari was so tough and rubbery it was inedible. I have never ordered calamari and didn’t get cocktail sauce and lemon. Unfortunately we also ordered Cajun fries and lemon pepper fries and there was basically no seasoning on either one of them. This was definitely a one and don’t!!!

I use to love this place went tonight highly disappointed they changed menu and gave you less extras only 2 sausages, also did not have sauce on extra items gave it to me dry. Even asked was they under new ownership. My fried oysters was so hard I sent back. Will now drive to Boiling Crab a big letdown should have stayed the same Will not return... Neither the shrimp or catfish was seasoned. The regular fries was the best part. Overall I would give the food a 4 out of 10. I will not be returning and I would not recommend, respectfully.

I got the shrimp basket and the crawfish/mussels “boil”. The food tasted old/ freezer burnt and it was overcooked. The boil flavor was just tomato paste with basil leaves. The mussels were not cleaned properly. It was disgusting. I had 1 crawfish, 1 mussel, and 2 shrimp and was told i had to pay for my entire meal because “no one told me to order that”. I planned on paying anyway but the comment from the manager plus them not even asking what i didn’t like about it was rude. The atmosphere looked great minus the random dried food splashes.
