First time here, tried the Vermont turkey wrap. I was thoroughly impressed with both the service and quality of food. Can’t wait to come again.
Good wrap and a variety of options. On the corner in Pittsford Plaza. Helpful friendly service with an efficient line.
Great healthy food choices and a friendly casual atmosphere. The Cobb salad with chicken is to die for. I love this place!
I've been coming here for years (possibly since they opened if I remember correctly) and I absolutely love the food and the service. Very nice staff who never get my order wrong and I'm always satisfied with the food. One of my favorite spots in the area for quicker service without going to a restaurant chain.
My Cobb salad was beautiful and delicious. No corners were cut and I could tell that the chef cared that the salad looked and tasted great. That is truly appreciated.
Our food at Root31 in Pittsford, NY was delivered to our table and was exactly what we wanted. The Hummus and veggies with pita was good. The pizza had more tomato sauce than usual and the mozzarella cheese was just right. The Rueben sandwich had a good amount of sauerkraut and the corned beef was lean and tender and the marbled rye bread was crunchy. Thanks for your continued good food and service.
I always like the food, but today the portion on the veggie sandwich was skimpy. In addition, I asked for a different cheese, and it came with the one I didn't want. It was sent back to be changed, but in the meantime, my friend was eating her lunch. Improvement includes better training for cashier who asked me to look at her screen to see if it was the right sandwich! I pointed to the item on the menu. Improvement on the correctness of orders. The food quality itself is excellent.
I dine in with my about every other weekend. It is very special for me I remember when I was younger I would order a vanilla milkshake and I would also buy a cookie and the staff would be so nice to blend the cookie in the milkshake. I love their mac and cheese, never fails to satisfy my cravings.
I had the gluten free version of the buffalo chicken pizza and had them add black olives. It was very tasty. :) I also had the mango ginger drink which I would definitely get again.
Had a great three cheese quesadilla. Nice staff. Friendly atmosphere. My first time here, will definitely be back.
Out for appointments and needed lunch. Needed to stop at Trader Joe's and this place is basically next door. A little spendy, but the berry smoothies ($8.5) and Cuban sandwich ($13) were good. I'm surprised the sandwich wasn't pressed at all... KIND OF IMPORTANT with a Cuban sandwich. Definitely a better option vs Panera or other big national chains.
Great lunch and dinner with brunch on weekends. They have good smoothies too. my go-to is the quesasilla but I've had most of the menu and it's all good. Just pay attention if you order the eggs Benedict, they're a little runnier than I'd like so you may want to order them a little more well done. Solid place to grab quick and easy food that tastes homemade. (great post-workout - you can add protein to thr smoothies!)
I’ve Been Going To Root 31 For Years. Our orders over the years consisted of a Cobb salad or one of their wraps and a smoothie, mango ginger to be exact. We went and got our usual only to be real disappointed that they changed the recipe of their mango ginger zip. My husband knew just by the color of the drink that it wasn’t the same. The staff was friendly & offered to make a strawberry smoothie. Made that and that tasted like an off-season Strawberry drink. The mango ginger zip tasted like a watered down orange drink. This review is to say, you should go back to whatever you were using previously because this isn’t it. We most likely will NOT return, because $10 for the essence of a drink that once was, is crazy. #Disappointed
Too often tables and floors are dirty. Bathrooms dirty and don’t work well. Food is decent and some good customer service at the counter. It could be a very good, simple restaurant but needs some training the full extent of customer service - cleanliness.
I go to school around the area and I wanted to grab a quick lunch. I ordered the Tofu Thai wrap and it unfortunately did not meet my expectations. The wrap was small and for the price not worth it in my opinion. The tofu was incredibly salty, I couldn’t eat it. As you can see from the picture, I took it out. I will say, the staff were great! Very friendly, I appreciate that. Overall the atmosphere of the cafe seemed nice.
I ordered their chicken Cesar wrap on uber eats tonight and it was SO UNBELIEVABLY SPICY!!!!!!! I like spicy things and I would consider this to be the same level as hot wings on a mild - hot scale. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like that but some sort of warning in the description would have been nice. There’s 2 choices for chicken I chose blackened and I think they mistakenly gave me the herb marinated instead? Maybe that’s what’s spicy? I don’t order a Cesar wrap when I want something spicy so I’m very disappointed. I could barely finish it because my mouth was on fire. Seems like there was a mistake and if not you should really consider making your Cesar wrap non-spicy. Again, i can’t emphasize enough I’m not usually a baby when it comes to spicy food and this is one of the hotter things I’ve ever eaten my face was literally sweating as I ate it felt like a prank lol
It’s really 2.5. My mother was in town visiting and we normally go to village bakery for a quick lunch but decided to try this place out based on all the positive reviews. Our experience was a mixed bag. Some of the positives: Staff were friendly and nice. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. They do offer a water with some infused fruits which is a nice touch. But, to the rest: We went in Monday around 1230 and after we ordered we waited about 20-25 minutes for our food to arrive. I ordered the chicken gyro. It was not good. The chicken was cold and dry. It was not seasoned well. If they were going for a cold sandwich the chicken was poorly cut/ shredded with some very small shreds and other massive chunks that required cutlery to make smaller. I will say the sauce did taste good and the veggies were fresh. But what really doomed this dish was the dead naan bread. It was devoid of life. And it was ice cold which made it super dry and removed the chewiness of naan. I also had the berry smoothie. It was incredibly watery but had decent flavor. My mother had the mango smoothie and said it was amazing. My mother ordered the veggie wrap. She asked if they could add jalapeños, they did say that they would add them, the wrap did not come with them. She did not dislike the wrap but said she would try something else if she had the chance. All in all. Maybe we had an off day but for 50 dollars for 2 sandwich’s and smoothies makes me slightly wary. Then again maybe it was an off day?
Ridiculous how understaff they are during lunch hour. Had one girl doing the register and drinks. Then there was only one other girl to bring out the food and make drinks. To have to wait in line almost 30min is insane. There should at least two people doing the register and two people passing out food. Just ended up canceling my order. Will never go there again.
I am not sure what is up with the training here but every time I have been here it seems to be the staff’s first day or something. Whenever I order something they seemed confused or add the included sides on as additional cost. When the food does come out it is t cooked as requested. Example is the fried hard eggs I ordered as over easy.
We had never heard of this place before but decided to try them on UberEats. We never will again. The ordering process was incredibly confusing, consisting mostly of options for what we DIDN'T want rather than what we did. The turkey wrap was pitiful. Barely any meat, no cheese, none of the onion that I asked for. And the whole thing was tiny. Not worth even close to the almost $15 we paid. Didn't even come with fries or any kind of side. My stepson's plain chicken and cheese quesadilla came covered in the black beans and tomatoes we specifically asked them to take off. He is allergic to tomatoes so he can't even touch this. Also not worth the money we paid. Two meals that can't be enjoyed. Really sad and overpriced. Don't order from this place. All the reviews said the portions were too big for some people. I sell wraps at my job that are bigger than this for $7. What a joke. You people should be ashamed. Even burnt the tortilla for the quesadilla.
