I was in town to visit friends and this pub was 5 minutes from the hotel. We ended up there twice during the weekend. Fabulous food, great atmosphere and our server, Jessica, was awesome! Be sure to make a reservation if you go on Friday or Saturday night.
It is a Bills sports bar with a varied enough menu that everyone will be able to find something, but it's not so large that everything Is a remix of the other menu items. The beer selection is quite nice and the atmosphere is your standard sports bar, a little dark, a wood bar, and screens everywhere. It is not uncommon to see families here, so it's not a rough and tumble establishment. The staff is helpful and attentive, but be aware that this place can get busy and service does stretch out a little bit.
We live within walking distance of the Pub and have been avoiding the place for the past few years because of chronically slow service; every time we used to go, the wait for everything, especially the food, was interminable. Well, our oven broke last night and we decided to walk down to the Pub and give them a try. Wow, night and day difference from our prior experiences. Quick service (thanks, Catelin!), drinks and food came out pronto!. I had the Napoleon chicken sandwich, very good, and fries, also very good BUT they were not hot the way I like them. C'mon, PB&G, we want hot fries! My wife had skewered shrimp and loved it. Beautifully presented (for pub grub) and delicious. Okay, so now we're planning to come back to see if the quick service was a lark or their new now.
The food was very good, and tasty. We loved the Buffalo chicken dip, but make sure you stir it up because there were chunks of cream cheese. The pita wedges were the best to dip. I had special rib wings that were fantastic. Baked beans tasted canned, but at least a good can. Wife liked her sandwich and rings.
We were told that wines by the glass was half price on Wednesdays. My husband and I ordered a 9 oz serving of Sutter Home Riesling for $5. We ate out on the fenced porch. I ordered the Pittsford plate, which is a hamburger with meat hot sauce, over a bed of macaroni and seasoned fries. It came with a cup of French onion soup. They were all delicious. Unfortunately, my order took forever, because the server gave me a hamburger sandwich the first time (which was not my order), then my hamburger was raw the second time she came around, the third time, my hamburger was pink inside. The cook finally got it well done the fourth time. Our server was very nice. She removed my order from our bill. My husband had the shrimp scampi with linguini. He said that it was very good.
My mom and I have made a pact to start eating at new places and to get a dish we would not normally get. We attempted to go to Simply Crepes around the corner to find it closed (Tuesday) and we live on the west side, I myself almost an hour away. We ended up here and we were very pleasantly surprised! Both of us stuck to our pact, even though they had many items we would regularly choose. Both dishes were fantastic (Spicy Mel and Chicken Gyro)! And they had other interesting out of our norm options. Prices were reasonable for eating out IMO. Waitress was mildly inattentive but it was kind of busy when we arrived. All in all, we will be back!
I brought my family of 5 out to watch the last Bills game of the season. Great place to watch the game and the other patrons were cheering (Bills were crushing the Jets). Service was good, food was ok (upscale bar food), selection and drinks were ok. The beer selection is VERY IPA-heavy, but the do offer THC infused drinks. Prices are high, but similar to other comparable places.
Nothing wrong with this place. The food was decent and they’re full menu hit on some good flavors. The salad is a little bit lacking for the price that you pay. Service is always decent and unless it’s crowded in which case suervice will not be that great. I happen to go on a slow day.
We decided to come here for dinner after scrolling through google maps. This is a pub first atmosphere with decent food options. It’s loud! People are enjoying themselves in a good way here. For food my daughter got the garbage plate. The burger was of good quality and asking for it to be medium rare it was cooked to that. The Mac salad was not overly coated with mayo which is a good thing. The fries here are crispy and tasty. My wife got the scampi which had good flavor and plenty of shrimp. The portion size was good for the price. I ordered the teriyaki salmon. This came with rice and vegetables. The rice had the flavor of a pilaf and the salmon was cooked through. I didn’t want a sandwhich or burger and this was a good option for something different. No drinks today but they had a large selection of cocktails on the drink menu. I’d come here again for a beer or food.
We were looking forward to having lunch here today so I skipped breakfast. When I ordered a burger, the waitress asked how I wanted it cooked and I said "medium". When it came out, it had a heavy char and was obviously well-done. I had cut the burger in half and was so hungry that I bit into it. It wasn't until the third bite when I realized "Hey... This isn't right." Not only that, it was also overcooked as a burger IMHO (not even just well-done, but the char was too heavy). The waitress came around and asked how everything was and I showed her the burger. She apologized and fixed everything up for me and I got a new correctly medium burger. So I was going to mark food as 3-stars but my wife enjoyed her crispy chicken sandwich, so that lifted it up to 4. The fact that the waitstaff was eager and quick to fix the mistake gives them high service. The subsequently "fixed" burger was good, but I just feel like I needed to call out my experience for statistics. Atmosphere was friendly, and fine.
If you're getting bored of all your usual places, try Pittsford Pub. It's a bit nicer than most bars. We went on a Tuesday around 5:00. My husband had an order of mild wings, and I had a seafood Quesidilla. Although wings are pretty common, they were cooked exactly how my husband ordered them, which was light on the sauce. I seriously enjoyed the Quesidilla. It had just the right combination of lobster and cheese. My husband remarked how he liked it there. I can recommend giving it a try!
Food tasted good but honestly mediocre for the price. Asked for medium rare and got a well done burger. Place has the chance to be really good just dont think it's there yet. Mind you the bar was full and there was only one bartender, so took awhile to get service. Once the bartender was with the regulars, it was near impossible to order another drink.
Went to celebrate my birthday, 3 pm on October 25. We used our hand sanitizer to clean the table, the napkin was dirty after we cleaned it. I ordered a bottle of beer. I started pouring it in the glass in the glass was dirty. Our server brought me another bottle. Didn’t charge me. The appetizer plate had a spot on it. We had chicken wings, and it was not blue cheese. It was mayonnaise, The waitress said it’s made with mayonnaise, sour cream and blue cheese. There was no sign of blue cheese at all in it!very disappointed because Pittsford pub has always been a nice place to go, our waitress, Suzi was wonderful. She was one of the highlights of our visit. The food was good but the cleanliness of it not so much
We’ve been here a couple times and enjoy the outdoor seating. The food is also good and typical bar and grill. Feedback for the restaurant owner or manager: Each time we’ve been here, the service has been really poor. During our visit we listened to a woman seated at a table nearby share that her salad should have cheese on it based on the menu description. Their waitress shrugged and said, “I don’t know… maybe… do you want some? I can check with the kitchen.” The most appropriate response would be to say something along the lines of, “OK, let me go get that cheese for you.” The table behind us, sat for almost 10 minutes, not able to eat their meals because nobody brought them silverware. The woman got up with a plate once, she tried to look around for a server, but there was literally no waiter or waitress to be seen. My husband ordered a wrap that was supposed to come with honey mustard. It did not come with honey mustard so he requested it. Then, we were charged $1.25 for the honey mustard that was supposed to be on the wrap to begin with. After explaining the situation, she did remove the charge — not that $1.25 is that big of a deal, but the kitchen made the error. Also, we requested the check, got the check, then sat for 15 minutes waiting for the waitress to return. Everyone is friendly, but I’m only sharing for feedback so staff is supported. This place has great potential if run better.
First of all, I have to give a 10 to our server, Maya. She was wonderful very attentive and try to fix the problems with the food. She did an excellent job. However, the food itself was not cooked to order and that’s a problem with the kitchen. I ordered spicy Texas burger without the caramelized onions and it seems like I actually got extra onions on it that were almost impossible to get completely off. It was supposed to come with jalapeño peppers, pepper jack cheese and Housemade beer cheese. It didn’t come with any of those. I don’t know what cheese was on top of it. In addition, it was not cooked to order- asked for a medium well, and it was medium at the most. The house made kettle chips were good. As far as the atmosphere, the booth, we were sitting at the walls look like they had something splattered all over them. It’s always been hit or miss with this restaurant so not sure if I would bother going back.
The clam chowder was bland the kid burger, which cost eight dollars for some very unfresh chips and something that came out on 80% bun was fine The service was very lackluster. It was busy, but still we had to wait for the kid meal, which came out after the adult meals all said and done after tip. The check came to almost $100 which definitely was not worth it.
Service was slow—waitress not very attentive. Food was okay. Buffalo chicken salad had way too much crumbly blu and very little chicken. Cleanliness is a standard lacking. Wall had stuff all over it and the bathroom ceiling had so much dust.
Back in late October 2025, I chose the pub because of its location (Pittsford, NY) and I have eaten at this place in the past 40 years. I ordered the Chicken French because I didn't want just a hamburger. It wasn't close to closing but the meal took a long time to arrive. There were about 15 people still there mostly drinking. When I food arrived I could tell right away it had no flavor - very bland. The sherry in the recipe was either not there or not strong enough to add flavor. I sent the food back and ordered a hamburger. It came out fine like expected. I was sitting at the bar and about halfway through my meal the bartender says loudly so everyone can hear her that she can't wait to go home and she's tired of this place. Not much to say when you hear that comment. I was thinking at that point about ordering another beer and realized I wasn't served a glass of water. I finished my beer and waited for the bartender to see I was ready to leave. I was hoping she would ask me if I would like a glass of water or another beer - she said nothing. When the bill came I told the bartender why I had given her a small tip of 10% (not my usual 20%+), she looked at me and said "whatever" and walked away. I left the pub disappointed. This is not the type of service and food that I expect in Pittsford, NY - it should be much better than just a regular sports bar given its location. About a couple days later, I called the spoke to Nicole, the manager and told her of my disappointing meal and service. We talked for a little bit and Nicole said that let he know the next time I am in the restaurant and she will take care of me. I mentioned to her that I would rather talk to her than writing a bad Google review. It is now December and I thought I would give them another chance. I introduced myself to Nicole and she sorta remembered the phone call from October. This time service was fine but the wings were not the best I have had before. Upon leaving I approached Nicole and told her I sorta expected more from my second visit as she mentioned she would take good care of me. Nothing happened. I did say I would be writing a Google review now.
Absolutely horrible experience at Pittsford Pub. I can't believe the experience I had. A white male employee treated me with absolute disgrace. I picked up a delivery that the receptionist gave me permission to take. Only 1 bag had the customer's name on it. Once the customer received the food, she stated some items were missing. I offered to go back to pick up the rest of the order for her. I arrived to pick up the order & this white male staff proceeds on blaming me & I reiterated that I took the bag the receptionist gave me permission to take & none of the other bags had her name on it. He started getting smart so I started walking away with the food & he started talking about me to the customer's at the entrance about arguing with me. I turned & looked at him & said I'm not going to argue with you either. I headed out the door. He literally followed me yelling. I kept getting in my rental telling him to go ahead & leave me alone. He pounded his hands on the vehicle still threatening & yelling, etc. I felt extremely threatened, locked the doors, & hoped I would not have to get out & defend myself. Once I pulled off heading out the parking lot, I yelled out the window this is the type of ignorance & violence that gets people killed or shot. You better be glad you didn't do this to the wrong person who would have defended themselves differently. Here's the questions I asked myself as I'm driving away-What gives him the right & audacity as a professional to FOLLOW a customer to their vehicle. Why are you yelling & still trying to argue with someone who is in their vehicle leaving. BOLD RACISM. I called & asked for a female manager to ensure I didn't receive him on the phone & notified her what happened. She said she would find out what staff it was & talk to them because he should not have followed me outside. TALK? TALK? I'm thinking, "Are you serious?" I notified her I would be coming back with the police, which I did. That level of BOLD RACISM & inappropriate behavior is UNACCEPTABLE!!! I guarantee if a Black male staff would have followed a Caucasian woman out of the restaurant & exhibited that behavior, he would have been fired & arrested, or charged with some type of harassment. Pittsford Pub needs to be ashamed of themselve for this level of immaturity & racist conduct, & unprofessional, egotistical behavior. He lied & said I told him we could take it outside & said he didn’t pound his fists on the vehicle but said he knocked on my window to talk to me. Really. If I invited him to fight, why would I be in the vehicle leaving? Why didn't I get out the vehicle to fight? Racism has become more bold in it's form. We should be able to disagree without threatening behavior. He made this way more serious than it needed to be. It's clear that this was more than a disagreement for him & bigotry was a key root. Shameful!
Happily walked in for a NyE drink but was confronted with a bitterly rude bartender snapping her fingers to get our attention as if we are in school and getting into confrontations also with other guests at the bar to the extent that we wonder if she was high. She needs a lesson in customer service and etiquette. Would not return nor recommend. Such a sad downhill story for our hometown pub.
Probably a good place to get drunk, more of dive bar spot. Not a good place for food or service. Their menu is wrong and they know it. Prices are advertised lower than they actually are: wings listed for $11.95, but will charge you $20.49 (not including tax). The black haired woman who's a manager will only give you attitude if you bring this up. Service is terrible: they gave me someone else's food and took 30 minutes waiting at the front desk to even get a response. Even called ahead but they put me on hold and hang up, twice. Do not recommend this place unless you want to get drunk, in which case you might not care about the substandard food and service at that point.
I wouldn't go back. We are from out of town getting our daughter settled in for college and we always love going to local places. The waitress was nice it wasn't her fault that it took a hour to get our food. The manager/owner tried to downplay it saying just behind its busy but that wasn't true because the waitress told us they were down a cook and very backed up. He went and checked on where our food was but I did tell him our waitress had just let us know it would be an additional 10 to 15 minutes but he walked away. Came back saying it will be 2-3 minutes. Take a guess how long it was... bingo 11 minutes. I ordered a blt and hubby ordered boneless wings. BLt didnt even have real bacon it was some kind of microwaved bacon and hubby's were pre-made frozen wings that they overcooked. Disappointment to say the least..
