Opinions de Chadwick's Rockville Centre
Not only is the food amazing everytime but the staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant is one of a kind. The staff is so kind, personable and attentive. Pat the manager is always amazing. Always makes you feel like family when your in there. Great bar and drinks too!
Outstanding. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Food was out of this world. Great service. Only issues was lighting too dark, too difficult to read the menu without using my cell phone's flashlight.
Chadwicks is top notch. Had an amazing Baby Shower for my daughter. The food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make it the perfect day.
Fantastic menu Amazing staff Relaxing atmosphere (not AS relaxing as it could have been, our baby was there but he was treated warmly and he did well!) They started us with a bread basket of sourdough with a stylish tin of herb butter which was brilliant. On to drinks, I went with a Moscow mule and my wife had a black Manhattan, both perfectly concocted. I started with the truffle mac and cheese sans the garlic aioli. The dish was a one two punch of cheese with a hint of truffle which is great as when other places advertise truffle items on their menus, the dish is overloaded with the taste. It was pretty warm and came served in a mid depth soup plate. There was an OK amount but for $13, I did expect more. Next up, we ordered the parmesan truffle fries and they were a hit! Crunchy but not burned, meaty but not undercooked, just the right amount served with two metal servers of ketchup. On to the main! I ordered a grilled chicken bruschetta with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The bruschetta was the right amount of tang, however, I would have preferred the bruschetta to be room temperature as it did cool down the two perfectly grilled pounded out chicken tenders. My wife ordered the lamb chops, cooked medium rare, and they came out absolutely beautiful with asparagus. Our son had some parmesan fries, a lamb lollipop, and some water. Overall, not being incredibly picky, he enjoyed it. Our server, she was amazing, she brought us crayons for our son, she was incredibly pleasant, and she was very attentive. Overall, there were some items here and there which could have been slightly better but I'm just nitpicking as the grand experience was super pleasant and the food was tasty. We're definitely going to go back!
Such a great atmosphere in this place. I had the chicken meatballs and chicken bruschetta. My wife had the duck and the goat cheese salad. Everything was absolutely perfect. I have to tell you that the highlight of this night out was the service. Our server was tremendous. I wish I could remember her name. She was terrific. Dessert was a creme brulee for me amd mango sorbet for the wife amd both were outstanding. I was also pleasantly surprised by the price. It's a high end place so it wasn't cheap, but compared to other similar establishments it was way more affordable, we will definitely be returning.
Everything we ordered at this restaurant was great! It was all seasoned to perfection, nothing extra was needed. We even requested lobster mac and cheese which wasn't on their temporary menu and the chef was nice enough to accommodate our request and it was the best lobster mac and cheese I have ever had! Definitely recommend this restaurant!
Very nice restaurant, very good staff, everything moves along at just the right place. Never was rushed at all..Nice bar scene not crazy but lively enough...Food choices seem well versed, have to ✔️ out the steaks next time, they looked good...Parking real tight, so leave some time find something...close to RVC railroad stop and Cathedral... reservation a must
I met with a few friends that I worked with and the waitress, the food and the service couldn't have been a better setting for enjoying being with these guys.
Love this place!!! The food is delicious and Susie the waitress is Amazing!!! She’s helpful and very knowledgeable and friendly!!! She was so considerate of our food allergies too!
The food was fantastic and although the familiar service was slow that night, they credited our bill in consideration of our wait. The wait was an unusual occurrence. Normally, you make a reservation, you show up, and get seated and served immediately. Even without a reservation, they are very accommodating. The prices are right for the quantity of food received and the quality of its preparation. I recommend this resteraunt for couples, young and old and for friendly families that want to enjoy eachothers company and be pampered by great food and excellent service. Oh yes, that wine selection is more than adequate.
stopped in for apps and a drink. atmosphere is very lovely. the bartender Tara was friendly and very accommodating. i had the clams casino and they were fabulous. going to go back soon for dinner
Service was excellent. Suzanne was our waitress and the staff was very friendly. Food was delicious and served promptly. I had the lobster pasta and thick sliced bacon appetizer. Ambience was nice, great place if you want to talk and enjoy a good meal
Incredible menu of some of the most delicious dishes I've ever had. Tuna Tatar was amazing, Mussels were spot on, Best clams casino I have ever had in my life, Staff was amazing, and shared and understood what the ingredients were in the dishes we had. The Lobster Pasta was also amazing. The Chocolate Martini was unique and just so amazing...I give This Restuarant A 10 out of 10, and the Staff was an amazing 20!!!!!!
Excellent food and a very enjoyable atmosphere. Service was great, and the drinks well made well. Would recommend for lunch or dinner.
The orange glazed duck was delicious, no regrets. It was both flavorful and tender. Would recommend anyone to try and would definitely go back again. The clams were tasteful but a bit saltier than my usual intake. Atmospere and service were good. Would recommend as a date spot, intimate.
We had a wonderful dinner there the meat was perfectly cooked and everything was perfect. The food was delicious but what was even more amazing was the way they treat their customers. We had a reservation made online and somehow is was for an outdoor table. We arrived and they explained that there must’ve been an error bc it was February and their outdoor seating was obviously not available. They asked us to sit at the bar and while they figured out a way to seat us (it was Valentine’s Day weekend - so I was fully aware that if they didn’t, we would be going home bc everywhere had 2 hr wait). Not only did they seat us but they comped our appetizer as well. They were truly so kind and we were so grateful.
Chadwick’s is a nice Restaurant. My Husband took me there for my Birthday. We took a early seating and it was great. It was not to busy. The sunset Menu is great. Not over priced (you get a appetizer, main course and dessert). I would definitely go there again.
We've been coming here for years as our date night spot. The food is consistently amazing and the staff is even better. We just had our engagement party with 75+ people and kids, and they delivered in classic Chadwicks fashion. Everyone was so impressed with the food and basically everything. If I could give Art, Patrick, and the gang 6 stars I would.
Closed this place Friday night with an old friend. Barmaid was great (Stephanie) and just had a real good time. Then back again Saturday for a family function. Well done!
Delicious food. I love getting their steaks. Go here somewhat frequently. Very nice upscale restaurant in the heart of Rockville centre. My most recent visit, I got the New York strip, very delicious. Their house Sauvignon Blanc was remarkable. Highly recommend going to this establishment.
My wife and I come here fairly often as we live close by. The thick cut bacon is amazing and the NY strip is pretty on point. Good wine list and the bartenders make some mean cocktails. Service is usually excellent as well.
A great meal with great service. I had no reservation and came as the dinner hour was ramping up. The manager, Patrick was super accommodating and made for a 5 star experience.
My partner and I had a really great experience here for restaurant week. Our server, Susan, was friendly and attentive. Our food was great. I especially loved the truffle ravioli appetizer. We had a brief conversation with manager Felicia who was professional and extremely welcoming. Loved it here and will be back.
Have previously been to Chadwick’s for lunch but not dinner. Wanted to get together for a Christmas dinner with my brother and his wife and my sister. Made a reservation for 6 PM. They were coming from Suffolk County. My husband and I were coming from Staten Island. My sister arrived on time and we were not yet there so she told the hostess she would go outside for a little while and wait. It was kind of cold so she came back inside hostess said no problem. We have a nice table for you, etc. My brother and his wife arrived and we were still not there. Thanks to the good old Belt ParkwayWe did about 18 mph the entire ride out And we were late. They could not have been more gracious about my family occupying a table for 45 minutes before we showed up. The food was delicious not one complaint from anybody. I had the organic chicken breast with torched broccoli. Two people had the chicken bruschetta which they loved another had the beef short ribs which they said were delicious. Highly recommend this place. I wish I lived closer! And thank you so much to our servers.
Beautiful atmosphere, great service and amazing food. Recently I attended a dinner party here, there was absolutely nothing i could possibly complain about. There was a very talented entertainer that was enjoyable to listen to but still allowed for conversation while seated for dinner. From appetizers (the spring rolls were my absolute favorite) to my entree- the most delicious delicate fish dish, to the exquisite canollis to end the night, it was the perfect evening.
Came here for my brother’s birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better time! Kola was incredibly attentive, friendly, and all of our orders were 100% accurate with a party of 11! The NY Strip was perfectly cooked, potato croquettes were super tender, and the s’mores dessert was everything you could want. Will definitely come here again 😌
Went here for Father's Day. The ambience was amazing, the food and drinks were so good and all the waiters and waitresses were so attentive and friendly. It was a nice open space. The truffle fries were the best ever. Some items were pricey but definitely worth it. Will definitely return soon. Can't wait!
We have been going to Chadwick's for as long as I can remember. That was my late father-in-law's favorite restaurant to dine at. The service there is impeccable. They are attentive enough to make sure you have everything you need, but to not to attentive do that they are annoying. The food is some of the best food on Long Island. I have never had a bad dish there. My favorite dish is the Lobster Pasta. If you get a chance try that dish. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I love restaurant week you get to try places you’ve never been before. This was a great choice. The people that work there are fabulous and the food was fabulous. Highly recommend.
Love this place. I usually go on Sundays for Brunch. The Manager is so Friendly and funny. The waitress is always smiling and she always give 110% service. Eddie the Bartender makes the entire experience when we sit at the bar after brunch. The drinks he makes are amazing and he always keeps you laughing. I have to say I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
Filet mignon, filet mignon, filet mignon! Seered to perfection! The level of char is something to talk about. Every single time we go, whether dining in or, dare I say it, take out, the food is 5 stars (anyone who knows me, knows I very rarely gives 5 stars for any establishment, especially take out). I'm not a professional food critic, but I love food as much as I love life. I live to eat, not the other way around. If you are taking it to go, they take extra care to ensure if you want a medium rare steak to not let it over cook after it's removed from the heat. Service is absolutely excellent. The lighting, the decór, the overall ambience, gives a feeling of serenity. Although it's next to the train station, you wouldn't know it sitting inside. Prices are moderate, food is top notch. You can expect a dinner for two to run anywhere from $100 to $200 on average.
My husband and I came here last night for dinner for our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed ourselves and the ambiance. We had s great waiter named Xavier. He was very attentive and pleasant. My twin lobster tails with sweet potato mash was excellent and so was our lobster Mac and cheese appetizer and spring rolls. My husband enjoyed his duck and roasted garlic mashed as well
Sit down for an excellent dinner in the dining room or hit the bar to enjoy another menu that is a cut above. Either way you can’t lose. The drinks are great and the service is consistently terrific. Best combination bar/restaurant in RVC for my money. Sunday brunch is righteous!
Amazing. I drove 1000 miles to have dinner with friends. Spent hours enjoying wine food and great unique desserts. When in Atlanta it's coastal grille in Roswell but when in long Island... Chadwick's.
Great food , good service, and a good-looking place.. We had a party of 6, and we all loved our dishes.
AMAZING!!! This place is so unassuming from the outside. Bar and waitstaff is very friendly and they go the extra mile. Also, the food is DELICIOUS. I'm a foodie and their NY STRIP is among the BEST I've ever had. The DRINKS are amazing, too. Great place for COCKTAILS! Ask for FELICIA, she makes the most amazing drinks. Very creative!!!!
Clearly I've been missing out. This place is AWESOME. Food...drinks... service... All amazing. I ate till I couldn't fit anymore and could not resist wrapping it up, it was that good. Bartender Brent was on top of everything, super friendly, and extremely professional. Recommend this place a thousand times over. Get the lobster pasta and creamy gorgonzola spinach! Even if you don't like gorgonzola!! Sitting at the bar is just as pleasant as having a table also.
Chadwick’s is a great local spot in Rockville Centre. The food is good, the service is better and the overall environment amazing. I stopped by last week, sat outside and smoked my Cigar with some friends, while we enjoyed our dining experience.
Always delicious and a true little neighborhood gem that provides big flavors with innovative ideas.
A Culinary Masterclass in the Heart of RVC In a food-obsessed town like Rockville Centre, it takes something truly special to stand out—and Chadwick’s American Table & Cocktails does exactly that. This isn't just a meal; it’s an experience. While the menu is diverse and every dish is exemplary, the steaks are the true showstoppers. They are seared to absolute perfection, offering the quality of a high-end steakhouse but within a much more vibrant, modern atmosphere. Your palate will thank you for the explosion of flavors here. Yes, it is a bit of a splurge, but for a special occasion or a high-stakes date night, it is worth every penny. The service is seamless, and the food is consistently "on point." Plus, for those living elsewhere on Long Island, there is no excuse to miss out—it’s located literally steps from the RVC train station. Hop on the LIRR and treat yourself to one of the most sensational dinners the Island has to offer!
10/5/25 Lunch was delicious !!! 6/2/24 came for dinner for another friends a birthday. Dinner was delicious. Came today for the first time in a long time for my friends birthday lunch. She and I had a great waitress Susan and there was an assistant from the kitchen. Also running tables name Sam, who is super helpful as well very nice man. Definitely will be coming back here again sooner than later. It had been way too long since I had been there and I realize why I like it so much. The food and service are both perfect.
Dined at Chadwick's with a party of 6 for a bday dinner on a Tuesday evening. Absolutely amazing from beginning to end! Just as good at any steakhouse we been to in NY. Eddie was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. We will definitely be back.
Thank you to Chadwick's! When the table we reserved at James and Main in East Rockaway was given away because we were 13 minutes late with no call or confirmation from the restaurant to let them know were on our way.... Chadwicks came through and we had a wonderful birthday dinner. Everyone from the hostess, servers etc. were great and the food was amazing!! Thank you for the wonderful night!
If you’re looking for a spot with great food, good service, and a solid overall experience, Chadwick, American Chophouse and Bar is where you need to be. From the moment I walked in, the staff was attentive but not overbearing, and the vibe was welcoming. The food? Fantastic. Each dish was prepared to perfection, with rich flavors that didn’t disappoint. Whether you’re going for a steak or something lighter, the quality is consistent. And the best part? The prices were totally fair for what you’re getting. I’ll definitely be back—this place knows how to do it right!
In town for work and popped in. Menu is awesome. Sat at the bar and Terrence was amazing. Ask him if I should get the short rib or ribeye. He recommended the short rib which I'm a fan of and it was lights out amazing. The vibe here was great. It has a hoity toity look but all the other local patrons were amazing to chat with. Def will be back if im in the area again.
This is a nice and elegant restaurant. Soft music where you can hear yourself speak. The service was top tier! My waiter was so nice throughout the entire night. He went above and beyond. I came out for dinner with my parents, which was sweet. The food was excellent, well seasoned. Drinks were great. I'm not much of a drinker, but the lemon drop was great! And they even surprised me with a Happy Birthday cookie and ice cream plus a little photoshoot. I'm well pleased and would definitely go back again!!
Everything about this place was great! Service was exceptional- our server Abby was attentive and personable. We tried most if not all of the appetizers and each one of them was delicious, but I think the calamari was my favorite. I had the marinated skirt steak for my entree and enjoyed that as well. We finished off with the chocolate cake which was your average chocolate cake. Not too sweet. The cocktails were all delicious too!
Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at Chadwick American Chop House & Bar in RVC under the enchanting moonlight 🌚, and it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch, led by the gracious maître D, Jeanine, and our attentive and welcoming table attendants, Danny & Kola, not to forget the excellent assistance provided by Jose. They truly embodied the essence of fantastic hosts and hostesses. The food was an absolute delight - we opted for the rack of lamb with a variety of side options, and it was a culinary masterpiece. The presentation was a work of art, and the quality and portion sizes were just perfect. The restaurant's ambiance exuded romance and elegance, setting the stage for a memorable evening. Additionally, the strategic location across from the LIRR RVC STOP made it incredibly convenient, and the ample parking facilities were the icing on the cake. Chadwick American Chop House & Bar has won my heart as a dining destination, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for an exquisite culinary journey. 🍽️🌟🥂
I have in the past 3 months spent time in the lounge on a Friday and Saturday night as well. It has a nice crowd middle-aged with a few older patrons as well, all seem to be nicely dressed, but like most places these days it does close kind of early for a weekend night somewhere around 12:00-12:30 a.m. with the bar staying open up until that time busy with chatter! I will say that for what's around these days after years of covid, it's one of the few places for adults, not kids, I know of that stays open even as late as that. The drinks are okay and reasonably priced.
Amazing food, from appetizers down to desert. But very uncomfortable experience if your black. Especially if your young and black. The customers stare as if you don’t belong there, looks left and right. Even whispers. The staff go above and beyond to be kind as they too can sense that black people aren’t their usual clientele, too kind that it becomes micro aggression and unnecessary complimenting. I really wanted to enjoy my experience, but it was just too much. Overall I would say if your black, dine knowing your risking your own comfortability. Keep in mind this area on the other side of the RVC train tracks is generally filled with racist elderly white people.
Nice spot, excellent meal aside from dessert. Had a lobster pasta dish with generous amounts of lobster meat and shrimp, fellow diner raved about braised short rib tge spoiler was an oddly grainy mousse. Service was good ,ambiance as well
The food is excellent, but they could use a couple of new items on the menu. The restaurant is a little dark...we took my MIL there & she had to use her phone flashlight to see
Food was very good drinks/barmaid could have been nicer/better, and smile, we waited in the bar area for someone to get up so we could sit and eat, when our friends got up, maitre de came and told us NOW this is a reserved table, we have too many people waiting. Hello??? We just waited 2 1/2 hours!! RUDE. Was not happy about that seeing as we try to frequent places in our area to help the town, will not be back soon! Too many others to go where they are much nicer
Great food but weird vibe from hostess. Walked in to a bunch of empty tables were told the wait would be an hour. We left our names and walked out. Less than 3 minutes later we were called by a gentleman letting us know a table was ready. The hostess looked nothing short of surprised. Interesting experience.
Had early dinner here with a group of friends at 5:00pm. Place was not crowded. Seated promptly and was brought fresh bread with spiced butter which was delicious. Appetizers ordered was calamari, general tso’s brussel sprouts and French onion soup. All were excellent. So why the 4 stars? If I could give it 4.5 stars I would. The NY strip steak seemed to have been cooked to medium (which I requested) but a little tough and salty. Risotto and vegetables were pretty good. Would I go back to try another cut? Absolutely! Overall very happy with the place.
I attended a job holiday luncheon here recently. The food was really good, portions could have been a little bit bigger but maybe the lunch portions are smaller. The wait staff was exceptional. I took off 1 star because the food was staggered and people ate at different intervals instead of at the same time. Also some of the glassware/cutlery was not clean. Overall, I would venture back
Had a great meal here. I've eaten here in the past, but there was a definite improvement. Service was pretty good but got lost after apps, and then dinner was served. They need some other gluten-free options other than trying to mix and match to make this a superb winner for me
Beautiful atmosphere for a romantic dinner. The food is by far the best I've ever had. The service was pretty good my only complaint was we had a terrible table that was right outside of the kitchen. Overall it was an excellent experience the stuffed pork chop is a must have and the shrimp spring roll is divine. Definitely will recommend.
Unfortunately, forgot to make a reservation. Ended up eating in the bar at high top tables. Not my favorite. Sunset menu is a very nice deal it's 39. 95. It contains many choices of appetizers fewer choices of entrees and two choices for dessert. The food is very very good.
We enjoyed our dinners. The staff were all friendly. But, I thought it was a little more expensive than I would have expected.
We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here on a Thursday evening (5:30–8:30pm) for about 25 guests, and overall it was a great experience. We planned the event with Susie, who was absolutely fantastic to work with—friendly, organized, and attentive to every detail. Honestly, she was the main reason we chose this venue as she made the planning process so easy and stress-free. The food was phenomenal and the cake from Front Street Bakery was delicious as well. The cake was technically “included” in the catering package, though we did have some out-of-pocket costs due to our chosen design. Coordination with Front Street was handled separately by the bride, and this part of the process was a bit frustrating due to a lack of organization—our original cake order was misplaced and had to be re-submitted with a different sales associate, and follow-up about additional costs required multiple calls to reach a manager. The only downside to Chadwick’s itself was that the semi-private space wasn’t as private as we’d hoped. It became a bit loud at times, and other patrons occasionally walked through our designated area which disrupted the atmosphere slightly. Nevertheless, we’d still highly recommend this venue for a memorable event, especially with Susie’s help guiding the planning process.
I really enjoyed my visit. I sat at the bar, and it was clear this is a true local spot—everyone seemed to know the bartender! The quality of the meat was good, with a great cut. While the sauce with the filet mignon wasn't extraordinary, th meat cut saved the day. I also had a few friendly chats with some regulars, which added to the cozy, laid-back vibe. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel right at home.
Great little spot in RVC. The service was good, not perfect, a little slow at times, but still good. We got the general tsos brussel sprouts which were okay. Not the best, they didn't taste like general tsos, but they were still good. The steak was really good. Probably one of the best skirt steaks I've had. My wife's chicken dish was pretty good. Again not the best, but still pretty good. The prices were a bit much but I'd go back to try other things.
The service at Chadwicks was impeccable! Not only did my partner and I dine in, we also had a couple of drinks at the bar which were excellent! Based on my experience at the bar and with my waiter we had such great expectations when it came to the food. However my culinary experience was very, very disappointing. The food was very bland and dry. We will definitely go back and have a couple drinks at the bar but I highly doubt if we will ever dine in again. FYI: Left the same review on another website.
Although it is always a GREAT meal and nice atmosphere and I used to frequent often I think I will be passing on this spot for a while. We typically ALWAYS eat at the bar not a table and like a good meal and a few cocktails. Whenever you call you are told you can not reserve seats at the bar but yet when you go you can rarely find a seat because Felicia the bartender is reserving the seats. So unless you're on her select friends list good luck. The last time she pulled this we walked across the street and had a FABULOUS time. So with all the choices in RVC I'll go where me and my money are welcome and feel appreciated. BYE FELICIA.......
Disappointed with the rib eyes, because they weren't the cut of meat served. Also waited 45 minutes after we finished apps for our meal to arrive. We've been here before so this is not usual or expected. Not sure if we'll return
Expensive. My cut of prime rib was much too thick. No horse radish for the prime rib. My Aunt's salmon was dry. The service however, was impeccable. We expected a Superior level of culinary expertise that did not deliver. There were many empty tables. Curiously a couple was told there was an hour wait without a reservation. However during that hour not one person came in. It boggles the mind!
Ambiance is nice, wine selection is decent, but my food was only so-so. The lobster bisque appetizer I had was very good. But for an entrée, I ordered a bone-in ribeye, rare, and while it was cooked to temperature, it was obvious that it wasn't seasoned and as a result it tasted very bland. I got a sauce on the side that was okay, but still was quite underwhelming. It is probably the most disappointing steak that I've ever had, as I had expectations of a much better steak based on the size of the steak portion of their menu, as well as their pricing. I'd consider trying a steak here again as maybe it was just an off night, but I'll be more cautious in my expectations.
Been going there and although it’s pricey the food has always been good and it is a nice atmosphere. Few issues for me. Last weekend went with a group of 6 (3 couples) and ordered the lobster Mac and cheese which is supposed to be LOBSTER Mac and cheese. The dish came out and was SHRIMP Mac and cheese. NO LOBSTER! Not even a little! Should’ve said something but had had a bunch of drinks and was enjoying the evening and figured they had mixed in some shrimp, but there was no lobster. Wife is a “foodie” and she noticed that too. I could understand IF they told me they’d run out of lobster BEFORE I ordered or even before it was delivered to the table but they didn’t. And we were eating at a 7 pm reservation so it would’ve been early to run out. Should’ve sent it back but didn’t and it wasn’t cheap at $39. Plus and I always hate this, they charge 3.5% extra when using a credit card. Definitely not a $$
I used to love this place but in my recent visit the menu was changed. My favorite items were removed like the crab cakes, thick cut bacon, and the duck. Still a decent experience but the menu changes were disappointing 😕
For the price of the food it very lack luster... very hard deep fried duck with a jarred orange marmalade that was globbed on top of the duck over powering everything and making the chewy instead of crispy, basic sweet potatoe mash and a vegg medley that taste like it was bleached in just water... Brussels spouts burnt bad taste in mouth... on the other hand the rack of lamb was beautifully cooked but sauce was not nappe to loose... in a nut shell I think there should be better quality control coming out of your kitchen... would've brought it back but it was 9pm and I was starving... peeled hard crispy skin and meat back to tender meat and ate that with the mash everything else garbage it went... for the PRICE OF THE FOOD I should have been afforded a better experience
I’ve been here twice; my first time was great. I enjoyed the meal and service provided. My second time however was not so good since I arrived about 2 hours before dinner and was offered a seat without reservation. I was told I had 1 hour which was totally fine with me but where it got bad was when I realized the host as well as a male were rushing the waiter and waitress to take my order and clear my table as quickly as possible. Within 35 minutes, I was finished and the host ensured to indicate to the waitress to hand me my bill immediately after which came off as a gesture of “hurry up and go”. I’m sure this could have gone a lot more smoothly rather than disrespectful.
We had high expectations for this place being fans of Primehouse. Sadly it did not meet expectations. While our server was kind and friendly, food service was slow. It took awhile to be greeted after being sat down. Once we placed our order, it was fast downhill from there. The bread service was hard, nearly inedible. Our appetizer took ridiculously long to come out. We waited nearly an hour it came out. Our steaks came out, we ordered it the same way, medium, and they came out completely different tasting and cooks. The outside was quicked seared on such a high heated that it was really crusty and tasted of burnt oil and the other tasted like burnt chicken fat. Too odd tasting for us. One steak was completely rare. The sides were bland, and more like a food banquet hall style, of unseasoned and soggy veggies and overcooked croquettes. For as along as we waited it was an utter disappointment. Our server was so apologetic, offered to change it, but we had enough of the wait and environment, we politely declined and just asked for the check. Then our server brought over the manager, and this is what completely turned us off. The manager was very condescending. She was a complete mess. She was aggressive for no reason. We just wanted the check to leave. She was trying to get a rise out of us and you could tell that even the server was uncomfortable with how unprofessional the manager was that she went out of her was to apologize and offer a gift card to us. We said it was no big deal, it wasn't her fault and not to stress about it. We'd still take care of her because she was so kind. Another, off putting thing, besides the rude old lady of a manager is that they overserved patrons alcohol, so what should've been a upscale environment, turned into a pub scene with one patron falling off his chair, speaking so belligerent and loud. It was very trashy and to think that was during a weekday evening. It was super uncomfortable. The guy who was completely trashed started saying "don't worry im not going to sue" and just continued to drink. I expect this behavior in a pub but not at something considered to be "fine dining".
The restaurant was a disappointment based in the reviews I read. Definitely not a chophouse. First I go through a lot of ice tea so I usually tell the waiter/waitress that they can bring a few over so they don't have to run back and forth. It was like I never told her. I constantly had to keep reminding the waitress even when my glass was sitting there empty. We started with the thick bacon appetizer and it was anything but slick. It was as dried at as beef jerky. I was expecting a nice slab of bacon sizzling and got a piece of shoe leather. My wife ordered the Clams Casino and she said they were delicious. That was the best part of the entire meal. I had wedge which was OK and the fried chicken sandwich. There was no chicken it was just a piece of fried breadcrumbs. Chic-fil-a was better. My wife had the Chicken Marsala but no mushrooms or the taste of Marsala wine. It could have been any piece of Chicken with some sauce. Very disappointed.
The bar is extremely crowded and badly laid out. They have two top tables squished into every spare square foot. It’s a deeply unpleasant experience. I always end up trying to find a small spot to stand and its always directly in front of the damn men’s bathroom
Let's start from the beginning. My mother and fiance arrived before I did and were seated right away. That's the plus. When I arrived about 5-10 minutes later no wait staff spoke to them. After an additional 10 minutes I had to flag the hostess down and asked her to send someone over. The waitress was polite and stated she didn't come over because she thought we were waiting for one more. I think that's a bs excuse, but whatever. We finally ordered our drinks, apps and entrees. The damn appetizers came out before our drinks! How? The drinks were great. We ordered the lobster bisque and calarmari. The lobster bisque was served too hot and had absolutely no pieces of lobster in it although the menu says it does. The calamari was bland and rubbery. The waitress said the calamari was enough for three people, but it was hardly enough for two. The entrees were not bad. My steak was a little overcooked for medium rare. Overall, this restaurant was not worth the price and I will not be returning.
** Chicken Flavored Steak ** If you want chicken flavored steak and a rude manager this the place for you. I order the filet with the sweet potato. By far the WORST steak I have ever had. So when I told the waitress my steak was terrible. She brought the manager and she proceeded to make faces at me and basically mock what I was saying, about my steak tasting like it was cooked in chicken fat. Very unprofessional by far the worst experience ever with any management. (The older lady, black hair and glasses im assuming is the manager) Our waitress offered me a gift card to come back. But, after the interaction with management they clearly they couldn’t pay me to come back. Our waitress was wonderful and very apologetic went out of make the situation right. But, like previously stated after the way manager acted towards me there was no going back. Honestly our waitress should be promoted to manager. She was amazing. Side note they over serve guests one guy fell out of his chair he was so drunk and just being loud and belligerent.
I was here last night with two friends after the Islander game. We found an open spot at the bar and sat down. The young lady who was bartending seemed to find it necessary, for reasons unknown, to lament to us about the rigors of her day. She also went out of her way to explain to us how she's doing us a favor by pouring us three drinks because they are closing soon. Seeing how I too have clients, and in the last 37 years I have never and would never speak to them in such a reprehensible manner. Needless to say, I did not take this very well. I explained to her I don't need you to do me any favors nor do I care that you worked a whopping nine hours today. Anyway, she did her "how dare you", Entitlement routine that only an entitled woman can do, and we left. I am probably 20 years older than her and I would never ever talk to one of my customers the way she did with us. One of the people I was with was a Regular and he's going to speak to management about this reprehensible behavior. Anyway, I won't be back. Merry Christmas
I recently visited Chadwick’s American Chop House in Rockville Centre with my girlfriend to celebrate New Year’s Eve. While the food was enjoyable, our experience was unfortunately marred by poor service. Both of our appetizers were incorrectly prepared, which was disappointing. However, what truly left a negative impression was the handling of our bill. After leaving a generous tip for our waitress, I noticed discrepancies in the final charge after I took a picture of the bill for my records. It appeared that there had been tampering with the total amount, which I find unprofessional and concerning. Given this experience, I will be seeking other chophouse options in the future.
Racism is real. I wish I could it zero stars. I went there on Monday 10/27, sat at the bar; as they were changing shifts. I waited over 20 mins for someone to come serve me. No one came. A customer acknowledged me. None of the workers came to ask me if I needed anything. After realizing that I was racially profiling, I left. Do yourself a favor and do not come to this establishment. So sad cause I really wanted their food.
Went for Fathers Day and was very taken back with the attitude of a local restaurant we frequented for years . They were coming at us with up charges for the already inflated holiday menu that we felt like we were being scammed. They added in the service charge for less people than the normal amount “because they could”plus it was a “ holiday “ so the lazy waitress kept hiding and disappearing in a hidden corner on her phone . She neglected to realize she still had a table..Sharing charge we never had before . The ridiculous inflated prices from the normal prices . From all ends . The attitude in there makes me not want to return. If it wasn’t for the assistant that tried to compensate for the lazy waitress I would have written a worse review. I’m just not sure where the waitress kept disappearing to . Maybe she took a ride home and returned for her guaranteed added unearned tip on a falsely inflated holiday menu and falsely added extras because of the holiday excuse from all directions. The lesson learned aside from staying away from this scammer is to read the fine print that doesn’t exist as it’s made up with any opportunity to have an extra hidden cost stuck in there . It’s sad that a restaurant would want to be associated with such low class practices. I think it’s time for a new owner and the current owners being put out to pasture. Apparently they have aged out of the restaurant business. You’ll say anything that isn’t true about what had happened our Last trip there . The prices were inflated we were never offered additional sides to cover the sharing charge and the waitress WAS hiding out on her phone in the empty room behind us on her phone . The straws you are grasping at are called untruths!
If the hostess was only nicer when telling customers who have a reservation that their is nothing they can do when the get busy….
Attempted to order take away, unfortunately staff offered options that’s apparently weren’t available. Terrible service and blatant disregard from the GM. Don’t bother coming or ordering. Customer is not a priority.
