Ambiente accogliente, servizio impeccabile e un’atmosfera che invita a rilassarsi e godersi ogni boccone. Un posto da ricordare e da consigliare a chi cerca un’esperienza culinaria indimenticabile. We were with a tour so had a 3 course meal for €30 was weak worth it and such great food. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Such fast service too! I definitely recommend!

I wish I could remember the wonderful servers name- he was so fantastic. He catered to our non- traditional requests. Our daughter just would never finish a multi course dinner and he was understanding. We just wanted to try a little of everything that makes this reg special. The food was great- especially the tagliatelle with lemon and shrimp and the local fish. He took us on a quick tour of “the well” in the basement and then shared stories of the flood in 2011. He packaged up the wine we didn’t finish- which was a great sorta local recommendation.

On this trip, we have been to so many restaurants from Amsterdam to Cologne to Strassbourg, to Zermatt to Milan to Como and lastly to here in Cinque Terre in Monterosso specifically and I can’t say enough about the food and service in this restaurant! We enjoyed our squid ink pasta with shrimp and the best tiramisu ever! A must in Cinque Terre!

We sat outside and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was delicious - tuna tartare, a uniquely presented caprese salad, fried fish platter and local pansoti with walnut sauce. If ordering wine, better to get a bottle than by the glass. Service was very good. Expensive, but these seem to be the going prices here.

We enjoyed our meal so much first time trying squid ink pasta in Italy and it was so yummy, that and also the lemon pasta would most definitely recommend, the service was amazingly good.

Despite some mixed reviews on google, I decided to give Al Pozo a try today, and I’m so glad I did! From start to finish, the experience was truly delightful. I ordered the ragù pasta and the lasagna, and both dishes were exceptional. The ragù was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, showcasing authentic Italian comfort in every bite. It’s clear that the kitchen takes pride in using fresh, quality ingredients and traditional recipes. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, making the meal even more enjoyable. They struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. If you find yourself in Monterosso, I highly recommend stopping by Al Pozo for a delicious, authentic Italian meal paired with excellent service. It’s a hidden gem worth discovering! If your plate looks like in the picture….. it says it all…

Great place to have a lunch during the tour. There were 4 of us and we took seafood soup for one couple and seafood ravioli for another. As for me soup was a little spicy, but my husband loved it. Ravioli were very tasty.

1st time visiting Monterosso and decided to explore this Italian restaurant. Finally seated and order placed, we ordered Seafood Pasta, Vongole, Mussel & Clam soup, Garlic Squid… I must say.. AWESOME! I love the presentation and how the pasta was served. Marvellous! The experience is great with delicious foods prepared by a skillful chef, friendly staffs… love it to max!

I don't understand most other reviews as we spent a wonderful evening in this restaurant. We came late in the evening and the kitchen would've been closed already, nevertheless we were offered the full menu. The waiters were all really nice and observant. The food is delicious! Especially the sea food "appetizer" which consisted of many different plates with delicacies. The Tuna tartare and pickled fish, as well as the citrus sardines were to die for. Never have I tasted this kind of seasoning, it was incredible! The gnocchi were delicious too, as was the tiramisu. We would definitely come again!

Every single dish was extraordinary. The service was spot on and the gentleman serving us was incredibly nice. I cannot recommend the gluten free pasta with peso or mussels enough. The tiramisu was good too but I’d give it an 8. Everything else a definite 10.

We were out for a late dinner after a sunset cruise and walked by the ristorante. The delicious smells are what brought us in and we weren’t disappointed. I had the seafood spaghetti and my husband…

So good we went back a second time. The T-bone steak for two is amazing. Excellent cut of meat. Excellent service. Strongly recommend.

We ate 3 meals over a 1 week period at La Pozzo. Each time the food was outstanding. Tonight we had an octopus and potato salad, stuffed anchovies, marinated anchovies, and an outstanding seafood…

Semplicità e buoni piatti. Locale senza pretese, semplice, lungo la via del borgo. Location 4, posti sia dentro (la maggior parte) che fuori. L'interno non è niente di speciale; l'esterno è ben disposto e delimitato. Menù 4, grande varietà di piatti, piuttosto nella norma. Servizio 4, gentili e veloci (c'è da dire che siamo arrivati a locale ancora vuoto perché appena aperto; ma il giudizio deve basarsi su com'è andata). Qualità/prezzo 5, assolutamente onesto e porzioni abbondanti.

Abbiamo prenotato un questo ristorante al pomeriggio per la sera. Quando siamo arrivati (puntuali) sembrava che ci stessero aspettando e ci hanno subito fatto accomodare al nostro tavolo. Subito hanno anche portato una ciotola di acqua per il cane. Servizio 10 e lode! Ampia scelta di antipasti, primi e secondi, sia di carne che di pesce. Abbiamo ordinato sia antipasti che primi e secondi di pesce e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Non ho fatto in tempo a fare le foto dei piatti perché erano molto invitanti. Peccato invece per i dolci, piuttosto deludenti e veramente troppo costosi (10 €). Buona anche la scelta dei vini ma a mio avviso andrebbe ampliata vista l'ottimo menù proposto. Il conto un po' sopra alle nostre aspettative. Nel complesso comunque siamo rimasti soddisfatti della serata.

Luogo molto affollato, ho visto la fila dilungarsi durante la serata siccome cercano di servire e pulire il più presto possibile per accontentare tutti, quindi consiglio di prenotare. La cameriera aveva una memoria di ferro, rapida, veloce e a modo nel servizio, molto curato. Prezzi onesti per la quantità, mi spiace non aver immortalato meglio il risotto siccome meritava, mentre per il dessert bocciatissimo il cremecaramel da 6€, era veramente bruciacchiato, oltre ad essere molto piccino. Vasta scelta nel menù per ogni gusto e conoscenza del francese e dell'inglese delle cameriere, che è un valore aggiunto. Purtroppo essendoci accomodati fuori, abbiamo 'diviso' il tavolo vicino ad una coppia di francesi (un tavolo di distanziamento per poggiare le pentole con i risotti) di cui la moglie fumava mentre noi cenavamo...noi non siamo abituati sd atteggiamenti del genere per cui se potete provare del fastidio consiglierei di prenotare all'interno. (Ovviamente è una pecca di educazione delle persone, non del ristorante, ma io racconto la mia esperienza)

Table wine was smooth and tasty that goes well with any meal for most of people. We ordered a table wine for two, a lasagna and seafood pasta, as well as a tiramisu as a finish. Lasagna was very good compared to one in North America. Seafood pasta was very tasty and presentation was also good. Service? We didn’t have much expectations and so, no disappointment but as the location was in the tourist hub, the staff could be a little more entertaining and welcoming with pride for the local foods. Finally, our bill came to a little over $120 CAD.

Recensisco con 3 stelle anche se il cibo avrebbe meritato di più. Il problema è che il servizio e la proprietà a mio avviso lasciano un po' a desiderare. Parliamo del cibo..abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di cruditè ed era semplicemente squisito così come la pasta fresca alle vongole portata in tavola in casseruole di terracotta . Complimenti quindi allo chef. I camerieri devono imparare ancora molte cose su che cosa significhi servire con professionalità. Mentre ha preso l'ordine le è partita la penna ed è caduta nel mio piatto, mentre ha aperto la bottiglia di prosecco le è partito il tappo e potrei continuare. Abbiamo cominciato a sentire freddo perchè lasciavano la porta aperta e l'ho fatto notare ai camerieri che , in tutta risposta, ci hanno detto che avrebbero parlato con la proprietaria. Hanno fatto passare un quarto d'ora prima di liquidarmi e la proprietaria non si è palesata.Sono dovuto andare io a richiedere o di chiudere la porta o di accendere i riscaldamenti.

Horrible service that didn’t respond when we spoke to them. (They just said no as soon as we spoke english). After a while we got so annoyed that we left. Not worth the money!

Premetto che il cibo è buono nulla da dire,ma se parliamo del trattamento e del costo per me può chiudere!!! Premetto che ho prenotato con the fork e premetto che a pranzo era previsto lo sconto del 30%.Per farla breve atteggiamento scostante quasi come se prenotare con the fork fosse reato e allora non ci stare su quella applicazione,ci hanno dato un tavolo nemmeno apparecchiato siamo rimasti senza contorno,che hanno però messo nel conto,senza pane anche se richiesto due volte e sorpresa!!!!! Per un antipasto di moscardini in due una tagliata di tonno e una grigliata più una bottiglia d'acqua 96€!!!!!!!! Sì sono ripresi il 30% ok,ma la grigliata nella foto senza nemmeno una foglia di insalata costa 44€!!!! Ladri disonesti e maleducati!!!!

Abbiamo trovato questo locale per caso, non avevamo prenotato, avevamo freddo , avevano posto e siamo entrati … l’esperienza non è stata positiva: locale poco curato , cibo non all’altezza del prezzo : in cinque abbiamo ordinato spaghetti alle vongole che ci sono stati portati a tavola in una grande terrina di creta dove la pasta si è scotta; sporzionandola a tavola i piatti nn erano conditi tutti allo stesso modo , le vongole erano quasi tutte vuote, piatto insapore e caro, il sesto componente della compagnia ha preso una pasta ai frutti di mare anch’essa con poco sapore di pesce , per secondo abbiamo preso due portate di gamberoni alla griglia troppo cotti e difficili da sgusciare , una bottiglia di prosecco e nient’altro pagando per un primo a testa e due secondi in sei un conto troppo alto , unica nota positiva la simpatia del cameriere di cui , però , non conosco il nome, era straniero .Ristorante sconsigliato !

The food was really bad. Burned gambas, poorly dressed, drinks for 5€ without ice, just dry brown bread and we had to ask for everything: ice cubes, spices, olive oil. If you like to pay way too much and get an almost empty plate with burned food this is the spot for you! Would not recommend...
