We had a lovely time at La Barcaccia about two weeks ago. The place was recommended by our Airbnb host, and we are happy that we followed the advise. The friendliness that we received, and the authenticity of the good pizzas we ate, would have deserved more guests to eat there. This is a quiet part of town, so that can be part of the reason. And there might be more people at other times. Anyhow, we loved the place.

We loved La Barcaccia so much that we ended up eating there every single day during our time in Cinque Terre! Tucked just a few steps off the main path, this gem is easy to miss—so keep your eyes open, because it’s absolutely worth it. The food was outstanding. The pesto pasta was fresh and flavorful (truly some of the best we’ve ever had), the hamburgers hit the spot after long days of exploring, and the wine selection made every meal feel special. The service was warm, welcoming, and refreshingly genuine. It felt like dining with friends who take real pride in what they do. If you’re looking for authentic flavors, friendly faces, and a spot you’ll want to return to again and again—this is it. Highly, highly recommend! 🍷🍝🍔

We ate here and absolutely loved everything about this place. From the moment we stepped into the door, the waitstaff was super accommodating and took excellent care of us. We ordered a pizza with a couple of extra toppings and it was hands down the best pizza we have eaten in Italy - and we have eaten a lot of pizza here! The house red wine was delicious and the lemon cake at the end....wow....worth every bite. If you are anywhere near Monterosso on your trip to Cinque Terre, try this place out. You will love it!

We ate here one night to get out of the rain and the pesto lasagna was so good that we came back again. Yavel and the overall service is wonderful. Being patient, kind, and attempting to speak Italian goes a long way!

It was one of two restaurants recommended to us from our Hotel (Baia) and I dare say it's probably the best food I had in Italy (as a frequent visitor) and easily one of the top 3 most memorable meals! It was so good! I was a little iffy about the rating at first but later understood that the wait staff are just overwhelmed/understaffed especially when things get busy (we were here for dinner). They might even appear prickly at first but honestly they warmed up to us eventually giving us great service and even gave us free limoncello (not pictured here)! Also, coperto (cover charge per person) is absolutely normal and expected in many restaurants in Italy. Every food we had was memorable- the steak had a hint of coffee (so unique and delicious!) and the pizza and tiramisu easily one of top 5 I had! Would love to return some day!

My mom and I had a fantastic experience here. The owner of the restaurant helped us find the place we were staying that night which was so kind. Then we came back later for dinner, and it was so delicious. We shared bruschetta, our waiter’s recommended pizza, and the tiramisu, and it was all AMAZING. Would definitely recommend!

Authentic italian design, many options of pizza, a nice waitress, but she doesn't speak english well 😁. At 6PM when we came, there were no people. Unfortunately, service pays 3€ per person.

It is a wonderful restaurant to visit when you're in Monterosso. The waiter staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was beautiful. Seafood spaghetti was excellent. We had a few now around Italy, and this has been the beat. Did not smell fishy. The Cinque Terre pizza was delightful. Would recommend to all.

Hands down amazing. One of the best lunches I've had in the last 5 weeks in Europe. The Vegiterian Calozone was delicious 😋 The pizza and drinks were just as delicious. And the atmosphere was very friendly, welcoming and relaxed. The hostess was very friendly, it was great as we dont speak Italian and we spoke and ordered in English.

I visited this restaurant twice in a day. I ordered vegetarian pizza, the second time I ordered pasta. Food was excellent, authentic Italian. The atmosphere was great. The staff was friendly however, I had a bit of a hard time ordering as the staff seemed to not understand English.

What a great place. From the moment we walked in without reservations the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Get this.... they served a glass of wonderful sweet rose as you sat down. That alone should show you their commitment to hospitality. We order cheese pizza for the kids and mixed grill of seafood for us. All amazing!! Prices were very reasonable and quality was wonderful. Make sure to ask for the specials menu (the table next to us ordered a sea bass from the daily menu ( fish of the day) and it looked incredible.

Absolutely fantastic food, couldn’t fault in any way! We would most certainly recommend and never hesitate to dine here again, especially if you like super fresh seafood. 10/10.

Locale su una traversa del lungomare con area interna e portico esterno, decorato in maniera caratteristica. Spesso molto affollato ma in nome della qualità e dei prezzi competitivi. Il consiglio è prenotare o arrivare preparati per un po' di attesa, ma ne varrà la pena! Il cameriere è una forza della natura: cortese, paziente e professionale, ma soprattutto abile a gestire la sala come pochi. I piatti sono molto buoni e piuttosto abbondanti. La pizza leggera e gustosa con buon impasto, mentre pansoti in salsa di noci sono una tipicità davvero da provare per il gusto del ripieno. I piatti di pesce non sfigurano né per abbondanza né per gusto. A fine cena possibile degustare un ottimo limoncello.

Locale caratteristico, organizzato bene con camerieri cordiali e simpatici. Cucina curata con piatti molto generosi....su tutti la fantasia di acciughe e la barcaccia di paccheri.

Pesce da Oscar! Il nostro ordine non è stato ben recepito, ma con qualche chiarimento tutto è stato portato in tavola. Gli spaghetti ai frutti di mare deliziosi!

Walk past this restaurant every day and figured we would stop in for dinner. Just average food, great service, very loud inside. I ordered a Margherita Pizza, which was average. The crust was thin and crispy on the edges, very wet in the middle. The tomato sauce was fresh, very thin and a bit watery for pizza and the cheese was fresh. The cheese tasted better as the pizza cooled off a bit. My partner ordered a salad with greens, tomato and feta cheese, he said the salad was fine. Overall, the food is just average, surprising for Italy, since Italians know how to cook.

The food was very good, and that is the most important thing. We asked to be seated indors, but that was not an option. The staff was a little hard to get hold on after we ordered, and our table was unsteady, so a couple of stars got lost because of that. The pizza was my best one on this trip to Italy.

Me and my parents visited this place and it is a great place. I ordered a Calaone and peach Tea while my parents ordered Fried Squid, pizza and some local Liguarian wine. The Calzone and pizza are normal, it’s good but nothing exceptional but the fried squid was amazing. It was seasoned really well so it does not lack in flavor and the texture is great and it’s crispy. The wine we ordered was also amazing. I am not an expert on wine so order it by yourself and try it. It’s around 22€. The place it self as the name suggests feels like you’re in an old run down boat since the place is also run down made out of wood. I spent only 18,80€ for my order while my parents spent 25€ per person. I recommend this place

This was a nice little restaurant. The food was delicious and so was the house wine! The service was a little slow but they did only have 2 waiters with a fully booked place, so I cant complain. They speak pretty good English and they were helpful with the menu if you have questions.

Abbiamo cenato qui una sera...poche proposte al di fuori del menù pizza, l'unico primo piatto presente le lasagne al pesto (passabili). L'accoglienza e il servizio sono stati essenzialmente positivi. Non ci ritornerei.

Molti ingredienti dei piatti sono fatti in casa (come il ragù, il pesto , la pasta della pizza, etc.) pesce fresco. Luogo modesto ma accogliente . Servizio così così poiché essendoci solo due camerieri ,ma tanta folla, essi furono nervosi. Prezzo normale. Godetevi il mare che dista a poche decine di metri dal ristorante!

Diciamo 2 stelle e mezzo. Abbiamo mangiato la pizza. Molto buona con un ottima farina macinata a pietra. Bagno piccolo ma molto pulito e curato. Prezzi un filo alti. 2 pizze 2 birre e due caffe 36.50 euro.

Ho letto parecchie recensioni molto datate. Le più vecchie, però, non sono più valide perché due anni fa il menù del locale è stato molto ridotto. Ora qui fanno solo pizze, taglieri o fritture. Niente più spaghetti, né risotti, né pesce! Un vero peccato!

The fried squid was the best I've had so far in my Italy trip - fresh, lightly salted and fried to perfection. The seafood pizza was average. Do note they do NOT serve pasta so some of the older reviews are inaccurate. Service a bit slow due to only 1 server for the whole restaurant.

Pizza was incredibly disappointing to say it's labelled a pizzeria. Oily, watery mush at the centre. The dough wasn't fluffy. It didn't feel like it was from Italy. The best bit was the chips.

Super rude….they seem to be completely annoyed by tourists, despite the fact that their business depends on tourists. Sat down and 10 minutes later we still didn’t have a menu. Decided to order a pizza to go. Received a completely burnt pizza. Recommend avoiding this place.
