Opinions de Wayback Burgers Roseville
Super fresh classic burgers and fries. The worker literally hand smashed our burgers in front of us. Everything was delicious and we would highly recommend!!
Fantastic customer service. Delicious burgers & fries. Wish I would have taken pics of the burgers! I just dove right in as soon as I got it lol 😆
The service was fantastic and the food delicious! My family and I came in towards close, but we were still checked on every so often and had great conversation with the staff. The burger was well cooked, the tater tots were nice and crispy without being over cooked, the Mac and cheese bites were very flavorful, and the shakes hit the spot. Such a great experience.
Did the Doordash thing. Was in the mood for a bomb burger as I was starving and my lady was ravenous for meat (according to her) and we stumbled upon Wayback. I ordered the Bourbon burger, fried pickles and regular fries. My lady ordered the double pattied Classic, and a regular fries with a Milkshake. Even though we are 5 miles from home the food was still hot and cold (milkshake). The burger surprised us both with how delicious the patty was, how fresh the produce and bun was as well. Fries were solid and natural tasting and looking. The Wayback sauce was definitely interesting and delicious. The whole meal was EXACTLY what we were looking for. So happy we went here over the Habit and other food spots (looking at you SmashBurger) Overall, I was pleased, my gf was doing the happy food dance, and I am currently downloading the app to reap the rewards system they have as this is our new go to burger spot.
The Cheesy is the best cheese burger in Roseville... flat out.
Worth the price. Ingredient quality is far and above all fast food burger joints. For everyone commenting on the price, considering the "premium" burgers from places like Carl's Jr and McDonald's approach 10 dollars, $10.49 for a double bacon cheeseburger here with thick real bacon and quality ground beef is nothing. The fried portion is also great when you order full size. I can't comment on regular size fries because I got the full size. Staff was incredibly friendly and you can watch them easily making the food. Watched them clean the grill/ equipment multiple times just while I was eating and overall the place was very clean. Been wanting to try this place for awhile and now that I have I will absolutely be back.
The food was excellent, and the man who took our order was super patient and friendly. This is probably my favorite burger place now and I will be trying to stop here whenever I am able. Definitely recommend!!
We were pleasantly surprised. The food was awesome, the atmosphere was mellow, the employees were knowledgeable and super friendly. I'm looking forward to going back. I ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich. It's made with Frank's BBQ sauce so it was fantastic. ❤️
Great food, fresh and hot. Burgers, chicken strips, fries and onion rings tasted amazing. The burgers will make your taste buds dance for joy. Great service and fast. A must to go and try.
It was our first time here. Staff was friendly and place was clean. Food was outstanding, burgers melt in your mouth. Fries, chips, and onion rings were crispy and didn't taste greasy or too salty. I had an Oreo Mudslide shake that was good. My husband thought the chili was bland, but not a deal breaker for us. We will definitely be back.
Came back recently. The menu looks to have been updated. The food is remains terrific. And the service was excellent and speedy. The cool thing about this place, they make things to order - so there's no 'fry bin' where fries await a new patron. If you nearby getting an oil change, a car wash, or even waiting for someone at the furniture shop across parking lot? I'd recommend stopping by and having burger, fries, and a Coke.
Wow driving around look for something tasty on July 4th. Stumbled across this place ok Google Maps. I got a double build your own. It was delicious! And for the price I am not sure how people are choosing corpirate chains over places like this. Way better food for comparable prices. Also their website has an amazing Nurition Menu/ Calculator.
Been here 3 times now. Food is always freshly made to order. Great combinations or make your own way. No extra charge. Loved the burgers, but my new favorite is the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and Buffalo Chicken fries. If you love Ranch dressing and Frank's Red Hot sauce, you will love these two dishes.
Very friendly, great amazing food. Employees very nice and accommodating.
This was my first visit to the way back burger on Fairway drive in Roseville California. The restaurant is set up with old Timey stools and there’s plenty of comfortable seating. If you’re looking for a fast food hamburger this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for a freshly made hamburger then this is the place for you. They have a variety of specialty hamburgers and the even have a specialty hotdog. You can pair your meals with french fries or onion rings. Another one of their specialties is their milkshakes. They also have a great ice cream sandwich for dessert. The hamburger was very tasty and the french fries were fresh and warm. I also enjoyed the onion rings very much. The restaurant was very clean and the personnel here are very friendly. OK my first visit my first visit I start one was a nice thing to say you’ve been very good.
Our burgers were delicious. Just like a homemade bbq. The fries were under cooked but salted perfectly. Garlic fries were just garlic powder, so we were disappointed. Onion rings we crispy and melted in your mouth. We had the mint shake, it was really watered down. Brownie shake, my son liked it and oreo shake my girls liked it too.
Really good burgers. Tater tots seemed air fried or baked, not fried in an oil fryer. The service was polite and professional, but n ot necessarily friendly. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, as were the restrooms. Overall, I will definitely choose Wayback for a burger when I'm in the area.
Super good burgers !! Great shakes and sides too. Get the “Cheesy” and save room for a shake.
Hamburger was very tasty. Fried and shake as well. Will come back for sure!
Had a delicious Impossible Patty Melt and crispy fries, hubby had a classic burger and tots. He said both were very good. Service was friendly and efficient. Place was clean and relaxing. Will be back.
Amazing food and for a very affordable price as well, great service
Everything was delicious, the restaurant is clean and service was great. It’s definitely gonna become our go to burger place from now on. Also you have to get a milk shake with your meal!!!
I had a fantastic first experience. The food was great, quick, and the staff was very friendly and respectful. I’ll definitely keep coming back for that chicken! Thank you again for excellent service.
Went for an early lunch today with my wife and mother in law. Delicious, clean and friendly. Love it and will be back!
Price, quality service, everything was on point. Easily best burger I've had since i lived out here past 5 years. I aint going anywhere else now for my burger, fries and shake, get that cajun and thank me later.
This place is consistently good. The burgers are moist and the tots are crisp. The burgers have fresh tomatoes and “real” lettuce. The shakes are a little sweet for me, but my husband likes them. They’re made from real hand dipped ice cream. We haven’t eaten anything else but the burgers since they are so good.
We had burgers beef bacon halal burgers very good also kids absolutely loved it gonna prob get a shake its to far for me to come back but I would skip in and out to go here chilling cheese tater tots we fire
Be ready ready to make some decisions when you come to Wayback Burger. after ordering a hamburger/or cheeseburger you top it off with 11 different topping choices from lettuce to relish and then for a little bit more add some chili, bacon or cheese slices. Six different sauces are available. The Tangy BBQ sauce was my favorite. They have kids meals, fresh salads and about a dozen milkshakes flavors to choose from. They also have Pepsi products which are my favorite. Indoor seating has about a capacity of 50 outdoor patio seating has three tables. The oldies music was perfect for this cozy environment, fast casual dining experience.
Best burgers ever. My mother had the classic 2 patty burger. I had the impossible classic burger, and we shared a order of the onion rings . Second time coming here. Would totally recommend if you want a good vegetarian burger or beef burger. Fresh ingredients. Made to order.
Classic burger perfectly prepared, hot and juicy with all condiments contained within a fresh lightly toasted bun! Delicious!!
Love their burgers and fries. The shake was awesome as well. If you want a great burger try them and you will not regret. 5*. Great service too 👍
Great food ! Delicious double bacon (beef bacon) burger, and onion rings . Fresh and perfected . The employees were very kind and perfecting each burger taking their time. It’s worth the trip . I must say it gets hot inside but that’s ok they have patio seating aswell . Cozy little spot ! I hope in the future or soon they get a cooling system for the establishment and cooks . But please come and check them out delicious food !
Very delicious burgers and shakes! Great service on all of our visits thus far, and military discount and appreciation as well. Best Burgers I have had around these parts hands down. Made from scratch and grilled fresh right in front of you.
Friendly service. Food was nice and fresh. It had been a while since I had a good burger. Bathrooms clean.
We ordered on line. It was a very squiggly line to finally get to pay. We were on line for almost an hour. Had to start over 3 times. Don’t recommend that route. But. The burgers are amazingly amazing. The shakes are great, the fries and rings are well made. We have been here many times it’s always good. Just don’t like doing it on line
This was out first visit to a Wayback Burger restaurant. We were greeted quickly and positively by the staff. We explained it was our first visit and they helped us out with the menu. I love that the menu is customizable and your food is made on demand. The taste was excellent for both burgers we ordered and the tots were cooked perfectly. If this location was in a more prominently location, it would be hard to find a seat. We will be back!
If I could do six stars I would. Whoever was on aux Oct 8 2025 you are one groovy human being and you elevated the atmosphere tenfold. The staff were very friendly and kind and they made our food zippity quick. SUPA BOMB everyone should eat one of their burgers NOW!!!!!
This place is a hidden gem. I originally came for a promotion if I downloaded the app and so glad I did. The hamburgers are better than In-n-Out with more meat and ways to customize your burger. The shakes are delicious. Give them a try if you haven't.
“I recently visited wayback and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, setting the perfect mood for a relaxing meal.the food was simply divine—cooked to perfection with a wonderful blend of flavors. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness, and I couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. I highly recommend wayback for anyone looking for a fantastic meal!”
My family’s favorite place for burgers. Their food is not only delicious but also Halal. This one is the cheesy bacon ranch cheesesteak. This was my second time trying it. It was super yummy. The best part is you can get it their way but also can get it your own way. If you want the American burger experience but want it to be Halal, you should definitely try this place.
By far on of the best burgers i had in a long time. Stopped by to try it on a Sunday Morning and it was empty just like my stomach. The staff were nice the restaurant was clean and the food left me wanting more but full. The burger was so fresh and mouth watering. It left my lips moist and the burger begging for me to take another bite. By the time i finished it felt like the orchestra performed in my mouth. I will be back for more.
If you’re in Roseville and looking for a spot with great burgers and a welcoming vibe, check out Wayback Burgers at 9250 Fairway Dr! Conveniently located right next to Costco and close to the freeway exit, this spot is hard to beat for location alone. The restaurant is super clean, well-organized, and perfect for a quick stop or a relaxed meal. Service here is top-notch – fast, friendly, and efficient. Vick, the manager, is amazing and clearly takes pride in running a great establishment. The tater tots were a standout! Super crispy and delicious – definitely worth a try. I’m looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu soon. Highly recommend for anyone in the area!
Two Double Bacon Cheeseburgers with fries and a side of Mac & Cheese Bites. The burgers were super tasty. The mac & cheese bites were crispy outside and soft and cheesy gooey inside. I asked for a side of mayonnaise for the fries and she immediately turned and got it for me without the eye roll I'm used to at the habit.
Don't blink or you'll miss it! They are located on the corner with no drive through access however, they are well worth the walk inside! Delicious burgers with a dash of personality! A diner type feel with a 2022 twist! Try a burger 🍔 or two! Or any other of the menu choices!!! You willnot be disappointed!!!
Got an A1 Steakhouse burger. A little bit dry but tasty. $17 for a Combo is ok I'm these days. Good variety on burgers and Shakes.
We walked in to just 3 people inside but food took a while and this was due to all the door dash orders. So be prepared to wait just a bit. I'm not complaining about waiting, I have no problem waiting for hot delicious food. The Nashville hot chicken is definitely a spicy addition to the menu and was worth the wait. The kids also enjoyed their burgers which were hot and juicy as well. The fries and onion rings were hot but not necessarily crispy, not bad but not great either. All in all it was a good meal.
I ordered fries with bacon and nacho cheese sauce that were pretty good, but could have had more cheese. I also got a double bacon burger that was absolutely delicious. They have many milkshakes that come in maybe 10 ish oz cups. I personally ordered a cafe mocha milkshake that was good, but could have had a stronger coffee taste. Overall 8.8/10
The food is good and I've had good customer service in the past. This most recent time however I was a bit disappointed. I called ahead to order food since I had my small children with me only to be left sitting on hold for nearly ten minutes. I arrived there before they even took my order. So I went in, placed my order, and asked if they would be so kind as to bring my food to my car since I had small kids with me. They weren't willing to do that. When I got my order, they forgot my fries. I had to go back a second time to get those. The homemade chips they have are not good, so don't bother with those. Other than that, I've had previous good experiences both with good customer service and good food. The Buffalo chicken burger is tasty and I'm always in the mood for a good hamburger. I especially like this place because everything is zabiha/ halal at this location and the one in Folsom.
so happy to discover a location here in Roseville. I've been struggling to find good burgers that don't break the bank and this place is much better than shakeshack, in n out, and several other local spots I have tried! also got the Mac and cheese bites which I'm not the biggest fan of because it seems like they're not made in-house but more of the frozen kind although they tasted fine. halal beef bacon is a big plus and halal marshmallows for the shake! I ordered a double bacon burger and they forgot the bacon :( the workers were very kind and helpful but I'd check my order next time probably because it was around closing. I also appreciate them offering as many different sauces as I ask and explain them as well to match with the food. overall great experience aside from not getting my long-awaited beef bacon.
This place was great. The food was good and it was a nice surprise to stumble on at lunch time.
I went in for lunch today and had a better experience than I’d had in the past here. The food was cooked well and my burger was delicious! I would however echo what others have said about the customer service. It felt like an inconvenience to the workers that there were customers present. The young lady who take my order was very kind and sweet, but the two older gentlemen cooking and packing the food were quite unfriendly and practically thrusted the bag to me as I was leaving after I was quite polite. All in all I’m happy with the food but slightly disappointed by the grumpy guys
Although the burgers were smaller than anticipated, they were surprisingly delicious. I was delighted to discover that everything here is HALAL, allowing me to order freely. The fries were satisfactory, and the tenders were also quite flavorful. However, the cheesesteak was slightly too salty for my preference. The wait was minimal, and the restaurant was mostly empty. Overall, it was a positive experience for a first visit.
I've driven past Wayback Burgers hundreds of times. I wanted to something new and I was craving a hamburger. Stopping at Wayback Burgers was the best thing I've done in a long time. The customer service is top-notch. The food was fresh and delicious. Everything is prepared after you order it. You won't see fries or onion rings sitting in a warming bin. It felt like I was transported to 1950, where the quality of food and customer service is most important. I would recommend ordering a double or a side, since the burgers are a little small. I was amazed by the flavor of this burger. It had such great flavor that for the price it blew my mind. The sauces were wonderful and worth finding out with repeated visits. The fries and onion rings were fine, nothing to brag about. The tater tots were the best side in my opinion. Service was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Next time I'm getting a burger and a milkshake. Those look delicious and they have so many flavors to try. If you like burgers, I'd highly recommend this place.
I was very pleasantly surprised by Wayback Burgers. All the burgers are doubles, so meaty. Very juicy & tasty. I personally prefer a slice of onion; they use chopped onion. I prefer iceberg lettuce, they used a very fresh, green leafy lettuce. Those are personal preferences, but all in all, it was still a very tasty burger. I also had onion rings. Frozen, not fresh, but some of the best frozen onion rings I've had in a long time. I'll be back for more!
A nice laid back burger joint with delicious vegetarian options and scrumptious milkshakes. We got the Impossible melt with tots and a red velvet cupcake shake. An employee said they have a vegetarian patty that isn’t the impossible patty, that is very good but we did not try it. Great meal for 20 bucks that includes a burger, tots/fries and a shake. Zara, Lu, Vick, and Eesha we’re very kind and helpful.
Good burgers and milkshake but way overpriced! $6 for that size shake seems a little crazy but it was good so I don’t regret it but just won’t be a regular customer. They do have a lettuce wrap option but it was $10 and didn’t come with fries or a drink. Kids meal was $7 which was decent sized.
My two sons and I love a challenge, and burger challenges are our favorite. We are always looking for new burger joints to tantalize our taste buds. We arrived at Wayback's, and first off we noticed our waiter at the counter appeared not to be having the best day, something my son, and I picked up on real fast. We placed our orders, sat down and waited. It didn't take long for our food to arrive. The fries we ordered were hot, but they were not anything special. Both my sons burger, and mine was over powered by mustard, we couldn't even taste the beef. The patty was alright but on the smaller size, and it didn't stand out taste wise. My other son had chicken fingers which were well cooked, and juicy. I also ordered their salted caramel shake which tasted really good, but the ice cream had quite a few chunks of ice in it. All in all we were not that impressed with the meal, and more then likely we won't go back. Sorry Wayback.
Went for dinner with the fan. There was no one there. The good wasn't bad, just expensive for what you got.
When we walked in we were the only customers there. I think the temperature was 108 that day. The inside of the restaurant was extremely hot. They need to turn the air conditioning on or at least put some fans in the place. The man who took our order was really nice. The food was great and came out fast. I'll order it to go or door dash it next time.
First and last time coming here. Came in on a Saturday lunch. Ordered a classic burger, cod sandwich, a regular fry and (supposed to be O-fries) full fries. No drinks and this came up to $22 plus change which seems pricey to me. The food was quite tasty in all honesty. The burger and cod were well cooked and juicy. I just don't think it's worth the price and the wait! There were 3 staff with no sense of urgency. I worked in food service back in the day and when it's rush time, you pick up the pace. Did not see that with the staff. Maybe the staff were relatively new and inexperienced? If that was the case, management needs to step in. Also it looked they could have used 1-2 more staff and some clear organization. I could see them rotating from cash register to making food to handing out orders. Gloves were NOT changed out in between. In retrospect, we should have walked out for that alone. So lastly, as one staff bagged my order, I noticed two fries going into the bag so I looked at my receipt and saw he (same staff member took my order) put full fries instead of o-fries. It was loud in the building and wearing masks makes it difficult to hear and I do clearly remember having to repeat "O-fries" to him. However when I pointed out the mistake, he immediately fired back that he repeated the order to me and I agreed to it. I was taken aback. I swear I didn't express even an ounce of rudeness to him to warrant this reaction. Maybe he was having a bad day? So for that, plus the waiting, the prices, I really dont see a reason to come back.
I got the regular fries, bacon wrapped cheese curds and the bbq burger I think, (don't remember what it was called but it had bbq sauce and an onion ring). Burger was ok, I was suppose to get ketchup with the fries but didn't notice until I left that I did not get ketchup even though the itemized receipt on the bag says ketchup as the sauce I picked. The bacon wrapped cheese curds I pictured were disappointing. They were small, and very little of them for the price they charged. Was not all that impressed for a total of $22.
The rather assuming burger joint is clean, and has very friendly staff, which almost makes up for my sheer unexcitement about their food. New places, I always try their stock fare, so I got the "Super Single" which is a single patty, cheese, and 'their way', which consists of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. there was a bit of katsup on the bun (and maybe a hint of mayo). The overall effect was something very reminiscent of Wendy's- and for about the same price, so I guess that's okay. The main difference, then, is that they have decent milkshakes here. Overall, I stopped here because it's new to the area, and I happened to be shopping nearby. I might stop again to try something else if I'm in the area, but I'm not going to go out of my way for it.
SHORT VERSION: Pricey. Great fries. Coke products. Burger was OK, but not great, and a mistake in prep made it impossible for me to enjoy. LONG VERSION: As you may recognize from my reviews, I love burgers and finding new burger places to try is always fun This place looked promising, even tucked away in an odd corner of a strip mall. It's apparently a chain place, but not one I've run across before. I ordered one of their specialties, a Double Bacon Burger. As always, because I have a fairly violent allergy, I asked for it without onions. The receipt reflects my request clearly, which I think is great. I added on fries and a drink (they have Coke products, which is my preference). Cost? $22 after tip. That's a little steep, even around here. They gave me a cup to get my own soda from a fountain on one side. That's all good. I sat near there as well. The restaurant is on the end of the strip mall, so the seating is in a long corridor-like shape around the order counter and food prep area. That's always a little awkward (and I did have another customer run into me as she passed), but I sat away from the traffic aisle and it was okay. The counter guy brought me my food and it looked good (see photo). The fries were right out of the basket, hot, and properly salted. Not fresh cut, but good. So good that I only got about half of them in the photo because the rest of them were already in me. Then I went to take a bite from the burger and chopped white onions fell out. Bad news. Bringing it back to the counter, it took a couple minutes to get someone's attention. He told me he'd take care of it and took the whole tray (including my fries) while I went back to my table. Less than a minute later, they had the tray back. They took the top bun (with the sauce and onions) and maybe the lettuce leaf off and put a new top in its place. That's poor form. A severe allergy can be triggered by food traces, and there were still pieces of onion stuck to my food. But I really wanted to like the place and it cost me enough that I was unwilling to ditch it and grab a bite at a drive thru, which would have been smarter. So I cleaned it off better and ate it. It was decent, but the bacon was a little stringy instead of crisp and I was paranoid about there being more raw onion chunks, meaning I was inspecting every bite. I occasionally still tasted onion. Not enough to set off my allergy, but enough to keep me from enjoying the burger. It could be a good place. The fries wee on point. The basic burger was good quality. But between the price and the mistake, I'm unlikely to come back. There are a lot of other burger places to try near here. One last note: I sat near the soda fountain. There are no trash cans. I watched other patrons stand and look for where to put their trays. One put hers in the order pickup area and the other left theirs on the table. I left mine, but then saw trash cans and a tray collection near the front door when I left. Sorry to whoever had to clear my dishes.
So Meal 1: Chicken tenders kids meal, a lil disappointed in the size of tenders they looked like boneless wings that's how small they were. Originally we asked to upgrade to a chicken sandwich but it wasn't an option. Upgraded the drink for $1.99 to a milkshake, but it didnt taste good it had a powdery taste to it. Meal 2. Was a buffalo chicken sandwich, tasted good but the bottom bun was soggy, I also asked for a side of buffalo sauce and they said no and gave me buffalo blue cheese instead. Meal 3: The Philly burger, my friend said it was pretty good, but wished it was a lil bigger for the price. Service: Our cashier overall was pretty patient as we took a moment to decide. Although we had taken off an order of fries and their was technical difficulties that needed manager over ride, but the manager opened new register and said shed reimburse me in cash after the line was cleared. She reimbursed me for fries and then gave us an xtra burger for on the go, and a sorry for the inconvenience. Overall their customer service is an A, but their food was just okay, which is why we decided on 3 stars.
Ok so burger may be Halal according to the manager and other reviews. The first and only time I visited I noticed that anything fried (chips, fish, chicken, onion rings) are fried in the same oil as the bacon. The menu has a lot of bacon so be cautious for cross contamination. As for the the double classic I ate, it was amazing. Very well cooked, seasoning was nice and overall great meat to bun ratio. I hate giving this place 3 stars, I really do. I feel it could be a solid 4 star place, maybe even a 5 (if I had some fries)!!
Ordered 2 Bourbon bacon burgers. Burger looks good, but I thought the meat tasted sour. Rancid? I checked with my brother, and he says the same thing. I think the meat was bad. It was my first time trying Wayback, but I think I won't try again, especially when the burger is ~$12 a pop.
Was surprised when I ordered a patty melt that they said its plant based and told them I wanted beef. The photo on their menu showed sourdough and it came on a bun instead. My onion rings tasted like fish, so the oil they were fried in must of been old. The bathrooms although clean smelled of urine. Hate to knock businesses but I will not be going back. Not impressed for the price and will not be going back
Good food, but once I asked how much it would cost to add chili cheese fries to my order the older lady at the register rolled her eyes and I felt disrespected. As soon as we got done ordering she quickly left to the back. She just ruined our experience and we’ve been here a couple times before and each time was 10 times better then this. The cooks were nice though.
I really wanted to like this place, but the experience was disappointing. The burgers were not good, and to make things worse, they took way too long to make. The restaurant was empty, so there was no reason for such a long wait. To top it off, after I finished eating, I didn’t feel great at all. Definitely not what I expected. Please step it up—better food and faster service would make a huge difference.
Pretty disappointed, was hoping for alot more, went with my kids and they each got a kids meal with shakes, which they both enjoyed, however my 12 dollar burger had a single piece of bacon 1 undercooked onion ring and a rancid (bourbon) sauce. Not good, didn't think I was going to be spending $40 for 2 very small kids meals (very small sized milkshakes and about 20-25 fries each) and a single burger. Just happy my kids enjoyed there milkshakes.
The food was super good and I enjoyed it however the man who took my order was surprisingly rude. He glared at me and did not say hello or anything and it was very awkward. I had been having such a good day and those cold eyes were not what I was expecting when I entered as I usually have a good experience coming here. I will not be eating here anymore unfortunately. I will save my money for somewhere else if customers cannot be greeted properly. Im work in food myself so I get it can be stressful but there was no one else there so it was weird to me.
Wow.. so disappointed. Where do I start. We ordered an impossible patty burger and Double bacon burger. The guy that took our order didn't even know they had an impossible patty option. We also ordered cheese curds and friend pickle chips. Drinks were two shakes. Our total was $58 plus a 15% tip.. almost $70. The Impossible Burger was supposed to have a crunchy onion topper on the patty. Well there was little to no crunchy topper on it, the bun was completely crushed and flat. The burger itself was not even edible. To add yes, we know those are not real beef but wife has had many of these and has had some very good ones. This one was not one of them. My double bacon was not much better. The patties were burnt, basically the patties were flat and all the edges were burnt and crumbling. Maybe those were my wife's crunchy toppers she was missing on her burger. I couldn't even eat it. The cheese curds were extremely greasy and flavorless. 👎... We've had cheese curds (Minnesota Fair).. these just lacked that cheese curd pizzazz. Fried pickle chips were ok.. a bit greasy but edible. The shakes were very good.. unfortunately they didn't fill us up. All in all we wound up throwing all the food away, minus the Fried Pickle Chips and the shakes. Unfortunately we won't be coming back and it's too bad cause we really wanted this place to be our go to Burger spot. They get 2 stars cause of their Pickle Chips and shakes.
If you are looking for a good size burger or hotdog to fill you up, do NOT come here. This place is way 2 expensive, simply overpriced. The taste of a burger is good, but not great, the size is like a kids menu. Onion rings are pretty bad. The reason i give 2 stars is because the customer service is pretty good.
I haven't eaten at Wayback Burgers before so I decided to place an order because the wait was 15-20 minutes. After completing the order I was told it will be 45 minutes. I called (within 30 seconds of confirming and paying for my order) to cancel because I didn't have that much time to wait. They didn't even start cooking my order yet so obviously I did not think there would be a problem getting a refund. Well, I was wrong. The person I was speaking to told another employee to not make my order. He then said he was going to talk to his manager. A moment later he told me to "cancel it on the app." I asked; " Are you saying I need to download a Wayback Burger app to cancel my order?" He replied, "Yeah, like your bank app. Just cancel it and when the bank calls us we'll confirm it so you get a refund." What an absurd suggestion. Obviously, I'm going to dispute the charge, but it's highly unlikely that my bank will reverse the charge since I did place the order. Wayback Burgers literally stole money from me. Obviously, I would highly recommend to never give this place your business and I can guarantee that I will never visit one of these places under any circumstances in the future. Whoever owns this place should be ashamed that their management operates like this. What a joke. Edit: I just them another chance and I regret it so much. We ordered 3 meals and all of them were made wrong. I could barely find the place because they have no sign outside and no lights were on inside other than in the back of the kitchen area. Clearly they didn't want customers going inside. Again, 3 meals were ordered, we were missing an order of fries, both burgers were made completely wrong, missing ingredients we wanted and they somehow added ones didn't want. Luckily, the fries they did provide were so horrible that we threw them away, so I guess we didn't really miss out on the missing order of fries. In any event, we'll never go back and I highly recommend that whoever is reading this does the same
Edit to Company Reply: No, you don't get a do over. There's no excuse for a customer to have this kind of experience. You keep my $30+, I'll keep my Zero stars review. Original Post: TLDR: Save your money and avoid this pace. This is an example of what a great idea looks like but poor execution. The place is straight forward. Burger, fries/onion rings/tots, shakes with a few off options. The epic fail is in the burgers that swim in grease (my table was thoroughly coated THROUGH THE WAX PAPER). The bacon that has a taste and texture of jerky, and sides that leave a lot to be desired. I ordered 1 double bacon cheese, 1 BLT chicken, and fries/drink. The fries are definitely out of a freezer bag - on par with Walmart frozen asile. The burger has nothing good about it. Immediate diarrhea from the grease for anyone who doesn't have an iron stomach. The bacon I had to have remade because I literally couldn't chew through it. The second time around it was exactly the same. The chicken sandwich was dense in the middle and overseasoned on the outside. I normally love heavy on the hand seasoning, but this is way way too much for even me. I was so bad I could not finish anything I ordered. When I spoke to the staff all I got was confused looks and blank stairs like nobody was home. Thank god for the one genetleman who has some wits about him. This is incredibly embarassing for a $30+ dollar meal. You should be dialed in if you're charging that much.
The food was decent. Waited 10 minutes to order. Wait time for food was ridiculous, especially when the restaurant was empty with us and another family being the only customers. Close to 45 minutes for 3 burgers, 3 chili cheese fries, and 3 shakes.
My wife warned me about eating here. But I tried my luck, I should have listened to her. I told them light on the sauce.did not listen. The bun just fell apart right away. The real key to a burger is a great bun in my opinion.
They got my order completely wrong. Didn’t notice until I got all the way home.
The food tonight was horrible. The guy who took our order was less than polite. The restaurant was dirty, tables had not been cleaned, floor had spills and food on it. My burger was dripping from too much mustard, it was awful. Lettuce and tomatoe was tiny, and drowning in mustard. Not edible. Won't ever go back. Should be zero stars.
