Opinions de Kerbey Lane Cafe Round Rock
I recently visited Kerbey Lane Cafe for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The cafe boasts a great environment that is perfect for families, especially those with kids. They have a designated playzone, which kept the little ones entertained and resulted in a lot of happy children throughout the establishment. It's definitely a family-friendly place with a diverse crowd, accommodating people of all age ranges. I arrived at the cafe around 10:35 am and, unfortunately, encountered a 25-minute delay. However, considering the popularity of breakfast spots in general, this wait time was not overly excessive. It's important to note that the staff handled the situation well and kept customers informed about the wait times. The fact that the food arrived within 20 minutes after placing the order was a positive sign, as it indicated that the kitchen was efficiently managing orders. I decided to try the California omelet with a side of potatoes, and I must say, I was quite satisfied. The portion size was generous, with enough eggs and potatoes to keep me full for the entire day. The omelet itself was flavorful, filled with fresh ingredients that complemented each other nicely. The accompanying potatoes were cooked to perfection, providing a delightful crispy texture. The overall quality of the food met my expectations and left me feeling content. In addition to the food, I was also pleased with the service at Kerbey Lane Cafe. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and made sure that all my needs were met. Despite the slight delay, they managed to create a welcoming atmosphere, which enhanced the overall dining experience. Overall, I had a positive experience at Kerbey Lane Cafe. The great environment, especially for families, with the added bonus of a playzone, made it an ideal choice for those dining with children. While the wait time was slightly longer than anticipated, it was reasonable considering the demand for breakfast places. The food itself was delicious, and the portion sizes were more than satisfactory. The service was friendly and accommodating, further contributing to my satisfaction. I would recommend Kerbey Lane Cafe to anyone looking for a family-friendly breakfast spot with good food and a welcoming atmosphere.
I absolutely love Kerbey Lane for a myriad of reasons. The food is amazing! David's enchiladas are a go to favorite as well as the vegan chocolate cake. This is a great affordable family dining spot!
Had a great lunch with my daughter!! The service was great. We both enjoyed our food. The place was packed, but not loud or uncomfortable. I have recommended, and will recommend to friends!
Omg so good! I got the chilaques with wueso and an order of 3 different kind of pancakes because I’m special ;). I got two cinnamon swirl pancakes (ask for extra topping) and lemon pancakes. They were so good! The balloon animal guy made the kids balloon animals. Those animals loved the mimosas! 🤣🤣🤣
The wait time was typical for a busy Sunday morning, 15-20 minutes. We were notified and seated. I was extremely satisfied from Ceila seating us. Honestly, from smile to explanation to presentation was FLAWLESS!!!!!!!! For real, the food at this point was only an option. We were absolutely amazed, and this could have been our experience. She was just that good. Drinks: Kirby Sunrise, OJ, & Jim Beam (my bourbon mosa) Food: Breakfast tacos with bacon. Pancakes (gingerbread and blueberry), chicken strips, eggs, and sliced avocado. Like I said, the food was only an option at this point because the beginning of customer service was so official. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection as expected. If my wife and I did not have important business to attend to, I would have ordered more. So, to sum it up, what I'm talking about is this. This weekend is a very busy weekend due to a huge cake competition. This place is very, very busy, especially on a Sunday morning. And then I get great customer service like this ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. Let me start from the beginning, no major way time 15-20 minutes, doable. Customer service out of this world. Do you get that anywhere and everywhere? No, but you should. Food absolutely amazing. Do I want to go anywhere else? No, I'm stuffed. I will go there again, though, however. The restrooms were clean, and you know I love clean restrooms. This place is definitely on my to-do list whenever I come to Austin. It should be on yours as well. Hope your visit was as excellent as mine.
We had Brittani as our waitress, and she was absolutely sensational! It was our first time in the restaurant, and if all of your servers are like that, we will definitely be back to frequent! She was speedy, courteous, super friendly, and bubbly, and woke me right up with her bright and peppy personality! The food was fantastic, and you can tell that she genuinely loves the food that you guys serve because of how she talked about the menu. Highly recommend Brittani and Kerbey Lane in round rock
I have not always had positive experiences with Kerby Lane. Specifically the waiters and waitresses. But today was very different. As soon as I walked in this morning there were at least 3 people who worked there that seemed happy to see me- this was kind of shocking! They seemed very eager to please! The waitress was awesome too- I think her name was Brittany, but I can't remember for sure. She seemed genuinely happy to serve us - this was amazing! Not even a speck of irritation or attitude. (This, unfortunately, is what I've come to expect from many, many restaurants.) I split a 3 pancake platter with my friend (which the waitress gave as an option) and she didn't seem irritated that the bill would be smaller! Y'all - that was amazing! I tried to tip well to make up for the smaller bill. Anyways, it was such a positive experience that I think I'll make it a point to visit again soon. Thank, Kerbey Lane, for making my morning bright and cherry!!
Always a great experience at Kerbey Lane. It was about 40 minutes before closing so we felt bad about coming in so late but we came straight from the airport after a long flight so we were hungry but ordered simple. My hamburger was awesome and my wife's ginger bread pancakes were great. Service was great and was very much appreciated. Thanks Kerbey Lane Cafe!
Great place to stop for breakfast. My children both enjoyed the massive chocolate chip pancakes as well as the hot chocolate. The coffee was excellent, hot, and bottomless. Everything a mother of two young children could want. My mother-in-law had the seasonal beignet pancakes with espresso drizzle. Excellent! Would highly recommend. Will be back next time I'm in Austin.
Overall very good place to eat. Food was very good. Queso was amazing. My omelette was awesome as well as pancakes and chicken. Service was not so great but I’m sure it’s better other times. Ours was super lazy and very slow. But the food was the show and that’s what matters. Thanks!!
It's so nice to see solid vegan options on the meny like tofu scramble and pancakes! Would love too see more. The queso was very good. The scramble was dry and the veggie patties super greasy - but I guess that's just American breakfast :) Also we used InKind and got a $15 discount which was awesome. Service was great, place was clean.
I absolutely love everything about this location! The servers are super friendly and attentive. The food is always the right temperature and delicious of course and the drinks are always on point. We never have to wait too long to be seated and served. This particular location never seems to disappoint me!!
Love Kerby Lane - an Austin staple. Still has the best pancakes - my Beignet pancake was killer. This is a great location - huge, friendly staff, clean, and the same great taste as the original! Lots more in the menu than I remember - fish and chips, burgers, etc. I’ve never tried anything other than the breakfast food - but some of the other things looked good too.
Great place for brunch and we always get the queso because it is the best! We were on a time table and they did a great job of getting our order out in a timely manner. Our server was very attentive. They have a very big dining room and the booth was plenty big enough for the 6 of us.
We tried Breakfast Taco, Kids Platter and Pancakes. All food came out quite good and tasted nice. Service was decent and quick. They have lots of tables, so don't think waiting can get too crazy even though it seems to get a lot of crowds too. We came in around 9.30 and waited for about 20 minutes to get a table for 3. Parking is no issue at all, it's part of a strip mall. They have a small basic kids playground kind of setup at the back which I found super nice. They do give toys and crayons to kids to keep them entertained.
My family and I enjoyed a delightful dinner at this fine establishment. By far our favorite kerby lane cafe location! Our server, Daniel, made our interactions very pleasant and was super attentive. We really enjoyed his friendly demeanor. Very welcoming so we will be requesting him again. Thank you kerby!!
It was our first time visiting this location. There was plenty of parking, seating, and they had a nice playground for the kids. The kerby double burger was really good. Had plenty of cheese and perfectly cooked patties and came with fries. Dave's enchiladas were delicious. Came with two chicken enchiladas, savory black beans, and yummy rice. The kids had pancakes and eggs. The pancakes were pretty big and had leftovers for later. The coffee was really good.
This place is outstanding and staff is always very friendly. The orders come out quick and the quality of the food is incredible. The thing I love most about this restaurant is the consistency! It taste great every single time no matter what you order. I am completely hooked on this dish right here😍 (Pan seared salmon w/reg mashed potatoes instead of basil) The salmon portion is huge and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes are so creamy and flavorful, and the sweet tangy, tender Brussels sprouts melt in your mouth. A bite of ALL flavors combined together will make you want to slap your mama back to the Stone Age. I’ve been here about 12 times now and I can tell you this place will not let you down!
Kerby Lane is a must! The nitro cold brew and the Eggs Francisco are my favorite. The seasonal pumpkin pancakes are delicious too! Went for dinner and it was pretty good. We tried the Mediterranean chicken and the chicken fried steak. The cinnamon roll pancake is a must! The patty melt is delicious! Tried the smash burger for the first time and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly and super simple. That bun too!
Love the renovation! Menu is very cute, and the service is pretty good. They are always busy so I get the slower service. The food is yummy and the lattes are hot and good, I recommend getting the vegan queso somehow tastes better than the normal one lol.
To celebrate Easter Sunday, we visited Kerbey Lane Cafe in Round Rock for lunch. Since the location in Round Rock is always busy, we tried the online waiting list feature and it was awesome since we got seated shortly after our arrival. I highly recommend taking advantage of the feature. On this visit I ordered David's Enchiladas plate and a side order of Strawberry Banana Walnut French Toast, they're delicious. The food and service have always been excellent and this time was not an exception. For any friends or families visiting from out of town, this is definitely a place to treat them. ☺️ April 2023 update: Strongly recommend limited time Sunshine Menu and Banana pudding pancake... Yummy beyond believe. 😋😋😋 November 2023 update: I tried their Kerbey Double burger and it was excellent. The service received was great, too. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 April 2024 update: We ordered takeout. The process was very simple and the food was ready by the time we got there. Excellent! 👍🏼
I haven’t been to the Kirby Lane since I was younger. This place truly never disappoint! Ambiance: The restaurant is pretty big, so there are plenty of different types of seating. I joined the waitlist prior to arriving and was seated fairly quickly. The service is great! Our server was very kind and efficient when checking up on us. Breakfast platter: The pancakes are so fluffy and pair perfectly with the whipped butter and syrup. The eggs and sausage were also very good, and the portion size for this dish is great! French toast: The brioche French toast was super buttery with a nice crisp on the outside. The bread is so fluffy, and it’s a very decadent dish. Potatoes: The side potatoes have a slight Cajun seasoning. They are more of a soft potato than crispy but they were extremely tasty nonetheless.
Laid back, great ginger shrimp salad w grilled pineapple. Cowboy queso, fried green tomatoes. Greatness! Isaac is a fantastic server!
We came in today and had a server named Michelle. First time eating here and I was craving tacos. I loved she recommended the taco plate. they were delicious on the corn tortilla and filled me up. The pancake that my daughter had on the kids menu was pretty good as well. We really enjoyed breakfast. I'm coming back next time.
Was having my car worked on down the street and wanted a quiet place to eat and hangout while I waited. Walked to Kirby Lane. I am deaf and have a severe sensitivity to loud noises when wearing my hearing aids. I was shown to a quiet table but half way through my meal a large party of people arrived and were seated right by my table. The staff immediately allowed me to move to a quieter area! 😃 Not only that but the server knew ASL!!! SOOO excited that awareness and support are growing in our society. The food and coffee was delicious too! 😁😁 If you are deaf and want to be treated with kindness and respect, go to Kirby Lane in Round Rock TX!
Yum, on a Thursday evening close to Christmas 2025! Seated right away…Business was very steady but not a mob scene. My breakfast food came out quickly and was really fresh and delish; family’s order looked great and they ate it all. Really good, fresh coffee. FANTASTIC service from Joshua B.; kept coffee cups full and brought us all water, etc. Prices are high but that is THE NORM right now, so caveat emptor, as you know…look at the menu online. Three people at about $72 including 20% pre-tax tip (no need to tip on taxes). We had no apps or dessert or fancy coffees. Eating out is a major SPECIAL TREAT more than ever.
My boyfriend and i were visiting round rock and decided to make a stop here before heading back . The food was good , but the service was even better . Our server was ShyAnn. If you swing by here DEFINITELY ask for her ! Modified my breakfast and provided me with multiple solutions since i do not eat egg . So sweet and thoughtful , thank you ShyAnn ! Keep shining like the star you are ❤️
We love Kirby lane and we take been a while since we’ve been here so excited to have it again. We ordered the Kirby Queso which is our standard appetizer here and this time it was a little on the cold side and it was a little thin. The flavor was still great we ate it up. The Nabil salad is very tasty and everyone else loved there choices as well. The only reason for the 4 on food was the queso not being as warm and the thin consistency.
After a busy morning shopping the entire Ikea floor (twice!) It was time to introduce my 95 year old mother to Kerby Lane. I have been a number of times and love their lemon French toast. Today i enjoyed the California omelet while mom had the Denver omelet with the candied bacon. Scrumptious!. Tristen our server was very attentive and friendly without feeling like she was interrupting. Highly recommend for anyone who likes fresh foods, great service and wonderful flavors.
Kerbey Lane in Round Rock is seriously top tier when it comes to breakfast — like, the kind of place where every single thing that hits the table tastes like it was made with extra love. We started with chips and queso (because that’s basically the law in Texas), and it was the perfect opener: warm, creamy, and full of flavor. For the main breakfast spread, we ordered a sausage and egg taco with a side of salsa, plus an eggs Benedict, and every single bite was delicious. The taco had that perfect balance of hearty and fresh, and the eggs Benedict was rich, buttery, and so satisfying. And then the hot cocoa? Oh. My. Gosh. It was silky, rich, and topped with the perfect swirl of whipped cream and the cutest little chocolate shavings. It honestly felt like a dessert and a warm hug in a mug all at once. The service made the experience even better. We had a gentleman serving us who was respectful, quick, and kind every time he came to the table. You could tell he cared about making sure we enjoyed our visit. If you’re anywhere near Round Rock and craving a breakfast that truly hits the spot, Kerbey Lane is absolutely the place to go.
First time at this location, the hostess with the short bob and bangs was very warm and friendly, she told us all about the new seasonal featured items. Our server was a curly dark haired gentleman Isaac, he was also exceptional. 10/10 service and food. I recommend the chicken and pancakes and the peppermint latte.
Always consistent and always very timely with your food. The original location is charming, but parking can be a chore, unless you choose the time carefully. Ask for Erika as your server at the Kerby Lane location. She really leans into making your latte beautiful and just enjoys her job.
We have had many items on the menu it’s good but some items not so good. I had let the waitress know for example biscuit and gravy entree was bland dry and didn’t taste good. I asked if the recipe had changed she said no and didn’t do anything to try and make it right. She was busier chatting with staff and we kept having to flag her down for food and drink orders. She only asked how things were once didn’t offer refills and didn’t care to check in. That’s the only no for me and my family. However, minus that one waitress won’t mention by name maybe she was having an off day. Only other item not a fan was the pulled pork sandwhich flavor not bad but the batch I had super dry. On the good - All of our waiters and waitresses always friendly and kind. Food general is yummy and drinks non alcoholic and alcoholic. Queso is the best! Still worth a try. Menu was recently updated. Our favorites are the lemon poppy pancakes, deviled eggs, salmon, truffle fries, breakfast tacos, beef is delicious. Worth a try. We love also our Kerbey lane Tshirts!
I love this restaurant! I told the waitress it was my first time here and she gave me the entire run down of options of what to order. She also told me kids eat free on Tuesdays and helped me figure out items I could get as kids rather than main items to help me save money (my favorite!). Also, the vibe is so perfect, local artists have art in the walls. I just loved my experience. And the food was so delicious!!! Super win all around!!! ❤️
Had a fantastic breakfast at Kerbey Lane! The coffee was rich and smooth—exactly what I needed to kickstart my morning. I had an omelette that was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, with fresh-cut fruits on the side that were crisp, sweet, and beautifully presented. But the real standout was the pancakes—especially the carrot cake and the gluten-free ones. The carrot cake pancake had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, almost like having dessert for breakfast, and the gluten-free option was just as fluffy and flavorful as a regular one, which is rare to find! Great service, cozy atmosphere, and consistently delicious food. This place never disappoints—definitely one of my top breakfast spots in Austin.
First time here and from the moment we walked in it was an excellent experience. There was no wait at all and Alexa was our server. She was so patient and kind while we navigated through the menu and answered our questions. The food was so good coupled with Alexa’s great service we will definitely be returning here.
This was my first visit and I will definitely be going back. The food was really good. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was like an old-time diner. Maybe a little bit noisy but that's okay. The Buffalo fried Chicken and Mac was huge. Couldn't possibly have eaten all of that. Unfortunately I didn't order that one. I ordered their special pancakes and eggs and bacon. The pancakes were fantastic. Strawberry chocolate with strawberry sauce on top
4/5 on the food BUT I don't want them to change it. The food tasted *real*, like I was in someone's home and they made me pancakes and eggs! I don't know how they made it taste so homemade. The problem is my Francisco eggs meal was very light on flavor. My Orange mocha was barely orange flavored. I barely tasted the orange. I expected it to taste like these chocolate oranges I love around the holidays. Anyway, we will be back! It was a generous portion and we left super satisfied with our brunch!

Who doesn't love Kerby queso ? A white queso that covers guacamole definitely a must try. I had the bacon cheeseburger extremely thick patty all natural meat grilled to perfection covered in cheese and bacon. My wife had their standard breakfast of French toast and it never disappoints either
We came here for breakfast on the 4th of July. We had 4 adults and 2 kids in our party and we were able to get a table without waiting too long. They accommodated our friends stroller and brought a sling for us at the table. The service from the hosts and server were great. I ordered the Eggs Francisco and it was good but awkward to eat. I couldn't cut the English muffin, so I would have had to pick it up in my hand to eat and that would have made a mess, so I just left it. The bacon was also in strips, which was fine. It was cooked perfectly but I wish it had been incorporated into the eggs or at least be in more bite sized pieces, it just made it more difficult to eat. My husband ordered the French toast and he liked it pretty well. Our friends ordered the Lemon poppy seed French toast and the Kerbey Kickstart. Their French toast, they said, was like a muffin in the shape of bread, so it wasn't exactly what they were expecting but they still liked it. I thought it was weird the café had a breakfast dish that came with a salad but other than that side, it was a traditional breakfast dish. Our friends also ordered queso with chorizo and they loved it. They had been to this restaurant in downtown Austin for dinner before and they recommend the queso.
Great breakfast spot with a lot of customizable options. The menu has plenty of variety, and I like that you can adjust your order to fit exactly what you’re craving. The staff here is attentive and helpful, they actually take the time to explain options and make suggestions. Food came out hot and tasted fresh. Overall, a solid place to relax and enjoy a good meal.
They get 4 stars primarily for their atmosphere. If you have kids, the playground adds a great dimension and keeps the kids busy while waiting for their food. However, the food needs some work. Number one they say on their menu their orange juice 🍊 is freshly squeezed and that was not fresh squeezed. Second they have zero organic options.
We've been coming here for family dinner every other week or so and we enjoy the food and my kids have fun on the playground. Its not huge but they still have a great time.
Kerbey is a cafe that will put you in the mind of a Denny's, but better. My order, which was a crispy chicken, and cinnamon pancakes was excellent. Well seasoned and good. There's plenty of options to choose from on their menu, and service was great! The cafe is clean, the booths has partitions, separating the diners, and for the area that doesn't have partitions, every other table is accommodated. The meal aren't expensive.
This is a great family brunch spot. The wait can be long because it’s so popular, so calling ahead would probably be a great idea. We enjoyed most of everything we ate, the benedicts had perfectly cooked eggs, the queso was creamy and savory, and the chilaquiles were spicy and well cooked. The gingerbread pancake was a little dry and the lemon poppy seed french toast was *very* sweet. That being said, we enjoyed ourselves and I was very satisfied with how quickly our food came out. The whole restaurant had such wonderful, positive vibes and every employee had a smile on their face. I would definitely come back here.
Hungry in Round Rock? Definitely stop in for a bite! I ordered the salmon and basil mash potatoes only because I’ve never had basil mash potatoes! lol It was sooo good! lol my kiddos ordered the cheese burgers and fries , and my husband ordered the grill chicken with the hummus. We also ordered a cinnamon pancake to try and at that moment we knew we messed up! lol Although the lunch menu is good Their Pancakes Are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOD!! They literally melt in your mouth. They are fluffy, buttery and just perfect! So if you drop in there for a bite, sure try something new but I recommend sticking to the breakfast menu !Dont forget your pancakes on the side!!!!
The atmosphere was great, food was warm this time and flavorful. Service could use a little polishing. Had to remind our waitress about 3 times for fresh chips and never received it.
Food (brunch) was cooked very good. Service was lacking - didn't explain the menu or tell me what was brought to the table in the way of coffee. Forgot half the order after I asked to see the menu to explain what I had actually ordered. Seating is just rows and rows of booths like cattle headed down main street in Fort Worth. Skip this KL and try a different more Austin- authentic one.
Way understaffed for a weekend morning. Our waiter was very nice but had more customers than he could physically handle. Food good, but most of it lukewarm by the time it reached our table. When we first arrived, our group of 6 adults was let to a booth which would accommodate 6 children or 4 adults. We had to wait AGAIN for an appropriate table. I will not return on a weekend.
Good local brunch place I went there on memorial day and it was packed. The staffs were busy trying to accomodate everyone and friendly. I got the texas egg benedict which was good and interesting. The cornbread was sweet. I had it with diced potatoes which was good. I wsih they had a hash brown for the side. It is good and pretty reliable brunch place to visit.
So all of my food was good, my family enjoyed all their food as well. My favorite was the cinnamon swirl pancake! I'm not gonna lie I was a little disappointed with the "home fries" I'm used to home fries being shredded hash browns with a lil seasoning fried in a pan with onions, so that's not what I was expecting at all. As we proceed to get our tab, the waiter tells us someone already paid for our meal! We were definitely surprised! This it the first time this have ever happened to me, the kind of thing I only see on reels lol. Just goes to show there are still kind people in this world. ☺️ S/o to the lady in the green dress 2 tables away because my husband knew it was you! God bless you sis ❤️
Stopped by Kirby Lane Cafe and got the steak and eggs. The steak was cooked medium rare and super tender. The chimichurri sauce had the perfect amount of tang and added a lot of flavor without overpowering it. I got my eggs scrambled, and they were solid. It also came with toast and Brussel sprouts. Good service overall, and for the price you’re getting a solid amount of food (about 55g of protein), so it felt worth it. I’d definitely order it again.
Surprisingly great, though a little pricey. I had some time to burn this morning while my wife was in surgery and figured I would take my kids to a real breakfast place. I had wanted to come here for a while as it seems to be popular in Austin so I gave this place a shot. The facility is clean and orderly and I found the service to be excellent. Surprisingly, even the tap water they serve seems to be filtered instead of the normal tap water you get most other places. Pricing wise though it's not cheap. I paid almost seventeen dollars for my meal (not counting drinks) and my kids got two pancakes each at ten bucks a pop. That said, the quality of the presentation and taste was quite good. The menu too is quite large, a bit too large for me as it's hard to make up your mind, but still, it's neat to have so many options at a breakfast place. If you're looking for a nice breakfast restaurant and don't mind paying a little extra, this place is a great choice.
The food was mostly good, but we were disappointed with the homefries, they had some aftertaste. Our 3 and 1 year old grandchildren enjoyed the play area.
We had a waiter named Russell G. It was very evident he was not happy to be there. We could hardly hear him and he looked like he stepped out of the 70s. No smile or friendly atmosphere.

We stopped at this location because it was on our errand route and we thought it would be a place where we could get a good lunch. Despite the staff being good and the food being really good, we can't give more than 3 stars. We saw too many tables that hadn't been cleaned, utensils on the floor under tables, and other signs of being understaffed. Very sad and hopefully they will be able to rectify that situation soon.
I had Southwest salad, husband had breakfast platter. Service was slow and unorganized. Hostess promised to bring a cleaner menu, but never did. It took a long time for our server to get to our table initially. Server asked if we were ready to order, to which we said yes, but she walked away without listening. She rarely checked on us. There had been a problem at the table behind us which resulted in the manager making their meal free, and the guests on our other side were still waiting on their food after being there for a long time. We probably won't be returning any time soon.
Kerbey Lane Cafe is a popular breakfast and brunch spot in San Antonio, Texas. I recently had the opportunity to try the Cuban Benedict and Lemon Poppy Seed Paris Texas Platter, and I was overall impressed. The Cuban Benedict was a hearty and flavorful dish. The biscuit was perfectly flaky, the pulled pork was juicy and flavorful, and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The Hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy, and the bacon, cilantro, and onions added a nice touch. The fried plantains were a delicious and unexpected garnish. The Lemon Poppy Seed Paris Texas Platter was also a great dish. The Migas were crispy and flavorful, and the lemon poppy seed French toast was light and fluffy. The lemon glaze was sweet and tangy, and the homemade sauce was a nice addition. I also tried the Chai latte and Pumpkin latte, and both were delicious. The Chai latte was rich and flavorful, and the Pumpkin latte was perfectly spiced. Overall, I had a great experience at Kerbey Lane Cafe. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch experience. However, I was disappointed to learn that the Fried Green Tomato Benedict was not available, as many of the seasonal menu items at this time featured them. I hope that this dish will be available again soon.
Was very crowded but food was very good. Kerbey lane cafe is a nice place to eat in Austin and they have good staff an admirable atmosphere and top notch service. The waiter that I had was marvelous and very knowledgeable and friendly. The wait to get in tho was a hassle but once I got in I understood the buzz around this place restaurant ..!!
I love Kerbey Lane and hate to rate them anything less than 5 stars. But the last few times I've gone the food has been only average (and I expect better when prices are so high). Service is also just average now. Just because a person is dining alone doesn't mean they shouldn't get the same attention and respect as any other diners in your establishment. My tip money spends just as well as everyone else's (and i probably tip better than most). If I started tipping based on service received at this location, y'all would be really unhappy.

Decent diner, good service! ambience is casual. Lot of seating. \nThe menu offers a little bit of many cuisines-American,Thai,Mediterranean and more.\nThe buffalo sandwich and cappuccino were okay.
I really like Kerbey lane. Especially back in the day when it was 24/7 & open at 3am. Those days are gone.\n\nThe service here is meh. Food is still good. Seasonal pancakes are a treat. Patio is ok…

We were disappointed a little. Food was not horrible, but it was not great either, just average food. Nothing anyone got at our table was excellent. waitress was not friendly, she wasn't present fo…
Ordered migas, they came first all dry and no tortillas in them, asked for a redo, they came back after reminding them migas have corn chips in them they brought a new order, basically the same, no chips and all soggy. My daughter ordered poppy seed french toast, the french toast came all dry, asked for normal french toast instead hoping they would be better - the second order was even dryer. Food quality has degraded over time. Waitress was awesome. May wait a while before returning.
Of our 3 meals, I would say the French toast was the only item that was good, maybe the fries. The waitress did not visit our outside table but once on her own. The other time, we had to ask someone else to find her because there was an issue with my burger. They were great about remaking it for me but brought it out in a to-go bag with the check, so we felt like they were rushing us out. My husband said his burger was dry and overcooked, and the flavor of their special sauce was nothing to write home about.
I don't usually do reviews for takeout as I know takeout usually has a lot of variables attached with it, BUT, I am extremely disappointed with this Kerbey Lane. All I'm gonna say is this is not a Benedict at all. The picture clearly shows a HARD BOILED egg. I wouldn't even be mad if it were a little jammy, but clearly this shows me that the kitchen doesn't care. The point of a Benedict is to have a RUNNY poached egg. I've poached eggs before so I know it's not exactly easy, but if there's not going to be any care or attention to this dish, don't serve it. Don't get any Benedicts here cause they won't do them right. Not a one star cause chicken and potatoes were okay. The biscuit was drier than a Popeyes biscuit tho.
1st visit was a disappointment. Called ahead to make sure we had a seat, got there and was told they gave our table away and we either had to wait 30 mins or squeeze into a booth. After driving 30mins to get there we opted for the booth. When the food came, we ordered the candied bacon, came cold and floppy. Was told it was always "served room temp", didn't realize that meant cold. Other food was ok, pancakes were decent, eggs also came cold. Over all, disappointed. Not sure what the hype is about.
Don't normally find myself having bad enough experiences to write reviews, but this was an overall very weird experience. When we got our food in, we realized we didn't have cutlery. Our server was talking to someone at the bar for an extended period of time, so I wound up just getting our own silverware so we could eat. Server not once came and refilled drinks. We had to ask to have our waters refilled at the end of us being there. It was very weird to be more or less ignored by the staff, but clearly hear loud laughter in the back. I get it, you have buddies at work, it's a great thing. But I think its inappropriate to make a spectacle when your tables are ignored. Didn't really see anyone else being checked on either.
Over all they try to to attend and serve fast, but the breakfast food was cold. Eggs were not hot, pancakes were at room temperature not hot, bacon was not hot, rice was cold, was only served coffee once, 1cup of coffes was 4.5$, over all food breakfast food had no flavor. Never serve overmedium eggs with pancakes in thr same plate. Scrambled eggs are always carton eggs which are a powdery flavor. Toast was burned. All food needs to have flavor and need to be hot. For $87 for 2 adults and two kids? I dont know, inflation?
Went to Kerbey lane for brunch. I got the 2 pancakes and eggs with bacon 🥓. My pancakes were absolutely delicious, they were fresh and fluffy the syrup was a complement. To drink we had the orange juice and hibiscus mint tea, the hibiscus mint tea was delicious as well, but that’s all that was good about our order. The other meal ordered was cold, it was chicken fried steak and brócoli with mash potatoes it was supposed to come with a biscuit however it was forgotten, we waited for about 10 minutes before we asked a other server if he could find our server. Our server then came and we informed him we were missing our biscuit and fries. They brought out the biscuit and fries, however the fries were soggy and soaked in oil. Absolutely not good we told our server to take them back and that we would not be having them replaced. There was no music playing
My boyfriend and I spent 20 minutes of no greeting or sever. People were sat 10 minutes after us and they got service within 5 minutes of seating. The waitress that took the table next to us order, after she finish she just passes us and completely ignored us. Another server (who was bussing tables) comes by and asked us if we’ve been served and I told him no. Definitely NEVER coming back due to lack of service since it’s becoming a pattern because this is the third time this has happened and it’s not even that busy. Though the only good thing here is the food.
Great atmosphere. It's clean and inviting. Great color scheme and overall ambiance. Service was great also. We had a seasonal red velvet pancake. For the price, I think they could serve it with more attention to detail and exciting presentation. It only had a drizzle of some kind of sweet cream on top. I suggest adding a dollop of whipped cream, powdered sugar and the drizzle on top. This would make me feel excited to eat the food. I wouldn't go back for the food.

We just left Kerbey Lane. We always love the food, and our pick up order was ready. We had about 25 minutes before we had to take the food to our granddaughter at school.. We sat at the bar. All we wanted was a cup of coffee. No one helped us. Some staff were grabbing orders, but various servers had nothing to do. Finally the man beside us received his food, but the server ignored us. We had to leave after the long wait. We will go again because we love the food, but we will not sit at the bar. We really were not a problem. We never were rude. Servers just chose not to help us. Jokes on them. We are generous tippers especially when we are just getting a beverage.
We came in looking forward to getting some pancakes and food, unfortunately that is not what happened. The young lady at the hostess stand was friendly and helped seat us immediately. Once seated we sat and waited to be helped which did not occur. After waiting over 20 minutes we decided to leave; I do not think we will make a return visit.
My friends and I stopped off at the Kerbey Lane Cafe based on some positive reviews we saw. Unfortunately this was not a good experience. The wait was over 25 minutes for a table for 5. The service was lacking and we had to hunt down our server multiple times for refills and other condiments. The food as you can see looked decent....however it tasted like microwaved leftovers. Very disappointed in this place. Spoke with the manager and he said he would speak with his server and apologized for the food not being up to par. Did not ask to replace the food or take it off the bill. I would not recommend this location.
Loved the brand up until now. 20 minutes and no one came to greet us. Manager didn’t seem eager to fix it either. I guess I look like I don’t tip. They got me to leave so guess they won’t know. 20 years of fine dinning for work. Maybe my expectations are too high.
My experience at the Round Rock Kerbey Lane was extremely disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. Online ordering was disabled, so I attempted to call in an order ahead. I called multiple times, and every call went straight to voicemail—no one answered the business phone at all. Because I couldn’t place an order, I drove to the restaurant. I stood at the pickup counter and even sat at the bar, completely ignored, while at least eight employees stood around talking, joking, filling the chip bin, and doing everything except acknowledging a customer clearly waiting for assistance. Not one person greeted me, asked if I needed help, or even made eye contact. When I finally got the attention of an employee, I expressed how upset I was at being ignored. Instead of an apology or any effort to help, I was met with attitude. Another employee aggressively informed me that they “don’t do online orders on weekends anymore,” but no one could explain why phone calls weren’t being answered or why phone orders couldn’t be taken—basic customer service. By that point, a lead finally came over offering to take my order, but the disrespect, lack of professionalism, and overall indifference had already ruined the experience. I ended up walking out without placing an order. This wasn’t just an inconvenience. My mom is very sick and disabled, and all she wanted was some cornbread and chili. Instead, we were met with complete disregard and unacceptable service. Kerbey Lane seriously needs to address training, communication, and customer care at this location.
I had a rather disturbing experience while waiting by the host stand for my table. One of the hostesses, a young woman in a brightly colored vest and long denim skirt, frustratedly handed a stack of menus to her co worker (who was possibly neurodivergent) and dropped half of them on the ground. She purposefully turned away leaving her co worker to pick everything up on her own. We were so bewildered that no one was helping her that my partner and I helped her pick them up. This behavior was frankly despicable and the disdain the young woman had on her face was palpable. She should be reprimanded and frankly made to apologize for her actions.
Went on my Son's birthday. We got seated and reviewed the menu. Then waited and waited and waited. After waiting for about 20 minutes and no one coming by to even get us water to drink, we left the restaurant. Very disappointed.
We heard this was a Texas favorite for breakfast so we tried it now twice to give it a second chance. Sorry to say the food quality was very poor to mediocre in the Round Rock location. Eggs came out cold and not cooked to our request, potatoes were half fried and some were too crispy. Pancakes tasted like they came straight from a box, sausage was dried out on one side and lacked flavor of any kind. Perhaps the other locations have better quality in their kitchen. The decor, atmosphere very average, personnel was nice but nothing above or beyond. It seems every big city has a hyped up local darling restaurant that has built a reputation long ago but since allowed quality standards to slide backwards. This is that one for Austin. Disappointing. Never going back again.
Food was awful. Turkey in the Monte Cristo was freezer burnt. I’m sure I offended the manager when I suggested using a translator to explain freezer burnt. I didn’t mean to but after saying the same thing 3x I didn’t know what else to do. The manager didn’t understand us and continued to explain it was the best seller which good for them. The pancakes were meh. The whole meal overall meh. First visit also last visit. Food came out quick. That was the only positive.
Came in for my husband's birthday breakfast meal. Hostess was amazing 😍 server was great I asked if they could possibly write on my husband's plate happy birthday and they said they could but unfortunately it didn't happen. Is all you had to say was no we couldn't do it. The food was not the best. I ordered French toast with over easy eggs and they put my eggs in the same plate as my French toast which was a little different for me. The candied bacon was burnt and not to tasty. My husband's potatoes were dry and hard. Just overall a bad experience as I would've thought different with the wait being so long. Service was amazing atmosphere was amazing orange juice was very delicious 😋
Today they were very packed which was understandable as it is a Sunday morning. I joined the waitlist online knowing I’d probably still have to wait upon arrival. We got there and when we were seated we were seated outside. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but we were the only people seated outside on a chilly below 50degree morning. I was never asked about a seating preference my party and I were just sat outside. The server even mentioned to us that the heaters were off and had to be turned on. Unfortunately because of the weather we left as we didn’t understand why we were the ONLY party, party of 2 at that, that were sat outside. No parties after us were sat outside either. This was not a great experience and unfortunately we will not be back.
Saturday Morning Visit – 11/8/25 The food was great and the wait time was reasonable. Service was a little on the slow side but overall friendly. However, the restroom cleanliness was extremely disappointing, there was a strong urine odor, overflowing trash, and a broken soap dispenser. It really took away from an otherwise positive experience.
