Excellent location! The place was clean, the service was friendly and prompt, and the food we ordered was hot and tasty! The manager "Big James" brought us our blizzards, he was such a pleasant guy and during our visit, we saw him painting in the parking-lot, wiping off tables, ringing up customers, making food in the kitchen, making blizzards, and as we were driving out of the parking lot, he was taking a huge piled up garbage barrel to the dumpster! Sadly we dont live near this location, but we pass through when visiting my parents a few times a year and we will be stopping by here every trip. Nice experience all around!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE DQ!! Even though because of the mess that we're going through in the nation, we had a little longer wait and in our little growing town of Royse City Tx it's mostly high school and younger adults so our Dairy Queen is shorthanded... They greeted at the intercom pleasant and our food was YUMMY as always!! 🤗 Patrons please be more patient with your servers, they're giving it all they have to be there at your service Thank you Royse City Dairy Queen!!!

The service was great! HOT food served fast in no time at all. I ordered to go, but noticed the restaurant was super clean if you wanted to dine in solo or family.

Ordered an 8 piece steak finger basket and a large diet coke, paid almost 22 dollars for this. Asked for crispy fries, got home, had six steak fingers, and a pile of greasy limp potato. So not only did I not get crispy fries I paid for a more than I got.

I went through the drive-through this time. I usually go in and sit down but I was in a hurry. I only wanted something creamy, sweet and cold. From the prior visits I would say that the burgers and fries are quite tasty. I liked that the tomatoes and lettuce tasted very fresh and came with a crunch. However today, the icecream was delicious. I had a double dip. A chocolate scoop sitting on a crunchy sugar-cone with a strawberry dip on top. Customer service was great. Only two complaints. The price of the icecream increased by almost 50% and the scoops were smaller. I even think the cones were smaller but can't prove that one. Overall it's a good place to go, have fun.

I went in yesterday for what I was expecting to be just an ice cream cone, but ended up getting so much more than that -- I had been having a bad day and I think the girl at the register could tell, she asked if I was alright and I ended up talking to her for an hour! Before I knew it I was best friends with Maxxy. After I got my cone I sat down for a little while I ate it, and couldn't help but notice how every worker seemed like they had something to do and knew exactly what it was. The tables didn't have crumbs or residue on them surprisingly (a staple of usual Royse City restaurants). Thank you Maxxy and Royse City DQ for making my night! :-)

I visited dairy queen a few weeks ago, and I've been thinking about the experience for a while. It was really good. I got the new peach cobbler blizzard. A girl named maxxy made it and ran it out to me. It was kinda expensive, but the peaches were my favorite

Picked up an ice cream for a sick kid. I'm not used to the menu, we don't usually eat here other than picking up birthday cakes. First time going through drive thru. Employee was patient, food was fresh and they hand you the ice cream upside down. In sure regulars are used to it, but it was new for me ;)

Store was looking good! Food was hot and fresh. Staff was super friendly. The manager crew is the best! Deanna, Nicolas, Keandre, Maxxy, Leticia, Ricky, and Marie are all super hard workers and are very personable. Prices were steep tho

I can’t speak about the inside of this establishment as I’d only gone thru the drive thru. Service was attentive and fast. Blizzard was good and the banana split was good as well. No complaints.

The girl behind the counter was really sweet and I didn’t know what I wanted to get so I asked for a recommendation and she said the steak finger basket. Basically she was just super sweet and helpful, don’t get many of those type of employees much. Her name was maxxy

We have been here multiple times. Never have any issues. Everyone is always very polite. The other day we went and I believe there was a very laid young man by the name of Austin at the register. Very kind and respectful for a person his age.

The store was very very clean and everyone was working together very smoothly. I ordered the beltbuster and it was amazing, but a bit pricey. A girl named Maxxy took my order and brought my food to me. Very friendly and very mature.

Gives you an old timey DQ feeling with the music inside. They have by far the best ice cream and it tastes so much better than any other DQ I have ever had! The staff here is always so friendly however I do believe that they are extremely understaffed and need some additional employees.

My mil and come here a lot thru the drive thru. We always hope Deanna is working. She’s so nice and gets our order right and quick. Not to mention she’s a cone pro!!! When we do come in it is always clean and efficient…. We come about twice a week. Love this location !!!

Went to this location for a free cone and they were pretty swamped. I've been to this location before and never had any issues. Even though they were packed with customers too ready for a free cone, the gentleman behind the counter taking orders was very kind and smiled at everyone. The employees making the cones were working hard as well, and were all helping one another out. You could tell they were exhausted and maybe a bit overwhelmed, as to be expected from free cone day, but they all gave excellent customer service and had positive attitudes! Hope their boss gives them a huge shout out and a bonus of some sort because they deserve one!! Thank you for the free cones too! 😊

Food was great. We really enjoyed the steak finger basket and the chicken finger basket. Would have given 5 stars, but drive-thru did take about 5 to 10 minutes longer than expected. Will be back for sure as they are usually much more efficient.

The young man taking out order in drive thru was very patient and very knowledgeable when answering my questions. The food was good, especially the French fries! The online menu was different from the actual menu, particularly the children's menu. This location doesn't have hot dogs for children. Not a big deal, but, just to know for next time.

I've always enjoyed each DQ location thus far. Friendly staff and good food. My favorites are jalitos, steak fingers and the ice creams. Wish the smores blizzard was back... It's my favorite along with the apple pie and pumpkin pie. I like to stop by for a little treat now and again.

Love DQ ice cream. I recently went to get some and the ice cream was not DQ's famous shift serve. Maybe issues with the ice cream machine. I did return for a refund and the guy was kind and had no problem learning how to refund me my money.

This location can be hit or miss. The ice cream is always on point but the regular food is inconsistent. I've had good fresh burgers here and I've had burgers that were cold and tasted like they had been sitting. The chicken dumplings are good when they have them but they tend to run out a lot especially in the evenings. The tacos are usually good and fresh!

What is going on with maintenance? It's just a few years old, and the building is falling apart. The lady that took our order was very nice, busy, but polite. The dude that delivered the food didn't seem to care to be there.

My husband and I drove thru for a couple burgers and one small fry. We were charged 30.03. Did not get a receipt or napkins. This is are last meal at this place. Burgers were so-so for a single meal burger.

My boyfriend and I came to your establishment on 4/22/19...The food and blizzard were good. My issue was when we were walking to our table...my boyfriend who was on crutches slipped on a large wet spot on the floor. There was no caution sign. A couple of the employees saw what happened and I heard them talk about cleaning it up, so I didn't bother addressing it with them since they knew what happened. We were there for about 20 minutes and when we left the same wet spot was still there.

Don't go here. I waited for 2 kids burgers for well over 10 minutes and they were microwaved!!! Soggy bread and steaming hot vegetables and nasty reheated taste on the meat. Wednesday (Aug/29) about 4:30pm

I went through the drive-thru about 30 minutes ago.. I ordered 2 country baskets. BOTH baskets were missing toasted bread. and both had a whopping 13 French fries each.. normally not one to complain but you spend $30 on dinner and expect enough to actually fill you up.... pretty unhappy with experience

Typical nice DQ food. However I was standing around at the counter and not acknowledged for a few minutes. No indication of whether someone would help me.. even by the manager who chose to take incoming order on the iPad and enter into the register. She didn't even say anything to me. Luckily as I almost left... someone took my order.

Stopped here while on road trip. Dined-in so driver could enjoy eating with both hands. Stood at front counter for minutes while various employees buzzed about or avoided eye contact. More minutes before alternate cashier acknowledged us and finally took our order. Manager was walking around aimlessly while on cordless phone with an angry customer. Cashier was unprofessional and belittled the way we asked for a #1 combo. We were quick to forgive, not being locals. Blizzard came to table first, not uncommon; but food to table longer than necessary. Food arrived and easily identified it had sat around, as not as hot as freshly prepared. Sweet tea tasted very old and undrinkable. Banana split not delivered without our questioning its location. Server returned and plopped it on table with nary a word or acknowledge. The soft serve in the split was melted and proof it had been prepared earlier, probably along with the rest of our order 24min prior. Meanwhile half the teenage staff was also in dining area and gossiping about coworkers or friends or whoever. This location is under mismanagement and a disgrace to the rest of Dairy Queens in our beloved Texas. My melt still tasted good, and didn't give me diarrhea so two stars instead of one. Overall a shame!

Order was taken but food wasn't cooked 20 minutes after ordering. They had 3-4 customers and 10-12 employees and they closed the dining room due to staffing shortage!!! Poor management not staffing problems people standing around not doing anything is not a good look. Cooks yelling that they didn't know that there were orders that needed to be prepared is not cool. My meat was still cold after waiting for a very long time for our food. They could have offered something to help offset the terrible service and wait time.

I placed my order for dine it at 12:26 pm. My order was then taken and given to a person that walked in 15 minutes after me. They redid my order, and gave it to a drive thru patron. Finally at 1:15 pm they gave me part of my order. I had to wait an addtional 10 minutes for it to be completed. The cooks did everything to be expected. Management really needs a lesson in customer service.

Service was very slow. Only person in the store and took 15 minutes to get my order. Could taste the freezer burn on the fries and they were overcooked. Burger was soggy and Mayo tasted like salad dressing.

No one, including the manager, wear hair nets. With 7 employees working it took 55 minutes to get my food. Between time I ordered and got my food, there were 5 Doordash pick-ups and 1 blizzard to go order, no dine in orders.

Only come for the Blizzard the rest of the food is trash. How do you ruin chicken strips? By frying them until they are the consistency of a tire. Wait time was 20 minutes with only three cars in the drive through and the inside closed.This is not acceptable. Do yourself a favor and go to the Whataburger in the same parking lot. See all the other one star reviews. TRASH

Royse City DQ use to be amazing. Waited at least 30mins or longer just to get our Food cold forgot one of our fries. My mom's blizzard melted. But my Mocha Fudge Blizzard was not melted and awesome.. but went in asked for fresh & hot & got cold! When I went in the manger said, I try to tell them to work but they stay on there phones & won't listen to her. Hire someone who is willing to work ! Why work there if you don't even work! Absolutely unacceptable!!!

We went in and told them what we wanted. The cashier told us what was on the burger. We ordered and sat down and saw that a small group in the corner were talking and looking over their receipt which had a bunch of red writing on it. They got up with their food and went to the front. Few minutes later, an employee took them a new sandwich. My husband made the comment that their food order must have been messed up. An employee then brought our food. We opened and quickly realized that my husband's, that was supposed to be a double, was only a single. I took to the front and she asked if we just wanted another hamburger patty to put on it and I said yes, so we did. Sat back down, and upon further inspection we realized neither of our hamburgers had the pepper jack cheese OR the jalapeno ranch sauce on it (literally a staple to the sandwich). Took both back to the front. Cashier apologized and asked if we just wanted a new sandwich at this point. We said yes because we wanted hot hamburgers the way they should be and we paid for. We go to sit back down and the manager walks in from outside and asks what's wrong. The cashier tells her it was missing the pepper jack cheese and jalapeno ranch and the manager tells her that she misunderstood her when she was explaining the sandwich to the cashier. I still don't understand bc the commercial clearly shows pepper jack cheese, but anyway, the cashier walks to the table and says she is just going to bring us some pepper jack cheese and the jalapeno ranch as a side. No new burgers. So that's what they did. We ended up with hamburgers with hard cheese (not melty) and a side of jalapeno ranch to put on ourselves!!!! Absolutely horrible customer service on the part of the manager. We came for food food. Not to put together our OWN hamburger!! I don't recommend this place. Clearly they have issues as we weren't the only ones at the moment that didn't get the correct order. We will never go back to DQ. Just not worth it after that.

Ordered three meals on UberEats. Missing ALL the drinks, asked for cheese on one of the burgers, that I paid extra for as well, no cheese was on the burger. The gravy is like white WATER! Ordered a 4 peice chicken strip basket, only 3 chicken strips and some steak finger. It's like they were trying to pass off a steak finger as chicken. This isn't the first time I have had an issue with this Dairy Queen. Maybe hire someone that has a brain as the Manager to properly manage the employees that obviously don't know how to read a simple order.

I ordered four Hunger Busters dry, usually that means no mayo, no mustard, no ketchup, instead I was given four hamburgers with just bun and patty, when we called to complain the manager "Blake" was extremely rude and even called us liars. My family was not happy with this place, and I will not be ordering here again. I'm only giving two stars on the food for the two kids meals that they got right.

This is my third time having a bad experience here and I will not be back. Three times because I try not to judge off a single bad experience in case it's a one off. Drive to Rockwall or Rowlett if you want a decent DQ experience. We waited in line over 25 minutes with 6 cars in front of us. The inside is closed so I'm not sure what in the world took so long. Ordered 2 chicken strip dinners, 2 sundaes and a coke float. The chicken and fries were barely warm, our drinks were watered down after I assume they sat there the entire 25 minutes we waited in line and the ice-cream was melted. My daughter found a hair in her chicken. Are hair nets not worn here? The last time we came we ordered only ice-cream; 2 blizzards and 2 buster bars. The buster bars were so melted that they poured out like milk. I drove immediately to the front door (which was locked) to talk to someone about it and explain they shouldn't get the bars out of the freezer until the customer is at the window. They would not answer the door. I called the number and an employee brought new ones but it was clear the employee did not care. Not even an apology. This place is a mess. It's clear that the staff nor the manager care because it continues to get worse.

Horrible experience. 1. Out of Reece’s, no idea how that happens. 2. Ordered two smalls and got 1 small and 1 mini and was charged for 2 smalls. 3. Wife ordered Oreo hot cocoa and got brownie with not a single piece of Oreo and after questioning them they proceed to tell her “no, it’s correct.” Live in Royse City and will not return to this location.

Sat in the drive through with 4-5 cars ahead of me and waited 30-40 minutes. Only got 2 blizzards one of which melted all over the car before the 5 minute drive home.

Saturday morning, we showed up after opening time. The doors were still locked half an hour after the opening time. Some of the employees were playing around outside in the drive through. They DO NOT have the 2 for $7 deal like the national commercial advertises. The bathroom was also terrible smelling. Absolute waste of my time.

If the gravy is going to look like an expired jar of mayo, just throw it out and don’t serve it! Also, when a customer tells you “Thank You” the employee should acknowledge back and say “ You’re Welcome”! There’s a reason why 2 cars were in the drive thru line , and 20 + cars were wrapped around Whataburger, twice! Dairy Queen is just plain nasty !

They do not honor the deals on the app. Despite the app (and several articles) saying SMALL blizzard for 85 cents, the manager said the deal was only for a mini. Then conveniently they were out of mini cups so they wouldn’t honor it.

Spent over twenty on food and drink. Three tacos nasty no taste other than grease, jalitos where fired half way all crunched up together and plain batter not cooked waited over thirty minutes. Called the manager she said she will let corporate know , like that’s going to matter.

Went 4/14/24 at 7:06pm. What was meant to be a fun family treat on the way to a movie turned out to be a disaster. The person at the window took our order, 2 medium Orea Blizzards and 1 large chocolate dipped cone. The receipt states a small cone. We got to the payment window and a gentlemen was there, talking to the other employees about what he had done the night before. When he noticed I was at the window, and laughed and then told me my total. The name on the receipt is Keandre Davion Dean. We paid, and because of previous experiences, I knew he was going to tell me to pull forward and wait...and he did. As we are waiting, the time continues to go by and we notice people leaving the line without ordering. We also notice an employee going from car to car with ice cream, which was melting at this point, asking them if that was what they ordered. They said no, but then he comes in front of my car, with ice cream leaking from his hands, saying "This is yours right?" And I replied no. The gentlemen that was waiting a few cars before us, was still waiting, and waiting, and waiting, until finally, he went inside and asked for his money back. The employee continue to go from car to car trying to figure out whose order was whose, while this gross ice cream was dripping from his hand. Finally at about 7:24pm a young gentleman comes out of the back door and asks me what we ordered. I was fuming at this point and asked him what the problem was. He stated that they basically had a manager who didn't know what he was doing. I replied, "Now you're telling the truth." I told him what we ordered, and we waited again..and we waited, and we waited. Finally the young gentleman comes back out with a cone that looks like it was from a science project, the chocolate was gross. I ask him if he can get me another cone. The other gentlemen that was trying to figure out whose order was whose in the parking lot, came out wit a small cone this time, with the same gross experience. By this time, the other gentleman, the more helpful gentleman comes out and stands by him. I ask him why would he bring me a much smaller cone with the chocolate looling like it does. I asked the nicer gentleman, why my cone looked the way it did. He said something was wrong with the chocolate machine, I don't remember his exact words. I asked him if I could get a large cone, like I ordered, and better looking chocolate. He told me that they would have to make more chocolate and I replied, "That means I have to wait for eternity for that as well, right?" He said, "No, it will only take 2 minutes." I agree and about five minutes later, he came out with the size I ordered and the chocolate looked better, but it was melting. I basically told him that "they" need to get it together because they lost a lot of business that night. He apologized. I drove off with ice cream dripping all over my shirt and shorts. I will never, ever go to this dairy queen again becuase I wish I could say this was an isolated incident, but it is not. I've gone to this Dairy Queen in an effort to give the benefit of the doubt, and the fact that McDonald's ice machine never works, and it seems like it is only getting worse. The only time I have had good service here, was once 4 years ago!

We waited a long time to get our food, multiple items were missing, and the ones we did receive were missing items advertised like the onion rings on the burger. My grilled chicken sandwich was over cooked and hard to bite into. The fries and cheese bites were incredibly salty. We spent $50 and 15 minutes total in drive thru from start to finish. Will not be back.

Went drive thru and ordered two ice cream bars. Too forever and nobody in line. She charged me for a 6 pack. After I asked her to refund only the money minus the 2 ice creams. she refused. She never gave me ice cream but took my money. I had to pull in and get the Mgr. The manager didn't know how, had to call while my ice cream was melting by him.oh lord, I was patient till he couldnt make change sitting their adding. Finally, asked for my 20.00 back and i never got the melted ice cream bar of 13 mintues sitting out

Dairy Queen may not have started in Texas, but it has quickly became such as “Texan” staple as anything. So much so, most of the Dairy Queen menu items in Texas can only be found in Texas. So naturally as a native Texan and resident of the state my entire life, my family and I like to go there. We recently moved to a new town. It’s a small town, that literally has no restaurants in it. So we decided to go to the DQ in the next town over. My family and I load up and drive the 20-30 minute drive to the Dairy Queen in Royse City. We wait in a what we thought was a short line and order. Fifteen minutes later we finally get up to the window and the young lady at the window seems very cautious of sanitation. Which is a plus. Then she’s asks a question. “Would you like the receipt?” We thought, “nah we paid cash”. No thank you we said and she handed us our order. Then we quickly checked our order and drove off. We get a little bit out of the line and my wife starts dividing up the food. She ordered a six piece steak finger basket to share with my daughter. So what’s in the box, yep only four. And to top it off, they were cold. But the gravy was screaming hot. So hot that it makes me think that they didn’t cook the steak fingers all the way. But expecting the scorching gravy to cook them. But remember what we didn’t get, yep the receipt. So taking it back to complain would be a waste of time to even try. So to top that lovely experience off, our fries were cooked so long, they were barely edible. It sort made me think that they were cooked once, got cold, then dropped in the grease again to warm them up. I mean, I would understand if they were just slammed so bad. I mean mistakes happen when you’re trying to do a million things at once with a constant line of customers. But they were so slow there is no excuse. Most likely our last visit to this DQ. So DQ, if that’s what you like about Texas, it is inexcusable.

I ordered tacos and they were disgusting. I've ordered them at other locations and they have always been made with ground beef. The "meat" in these was mushy and tasted like soy meat.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is such a terrible Dairy Queen that I’m actually angry. Although the prices are sky high, we are CONSISTENTLY served MELTED ICE CREAM that takes 20-30 minutes to come out, even when only 1 person is ahead of us! Whoever takes the orders are either very rude or we have to repeat ourselves 10 times. Tonight, no line, chilly night, my malt was so melted that it was the consistency of chocolate milk and the whipped cream spilled over the sides melting. We live 3 mins away and by the time I got home couldn’t even enjoy our treats they were so melted we had to put them in the freezer. Never again.

The young lady couldn’t get my order correct over the intercom. I get to the window and tell her what I want and she was confused so she gets another employee to come to the window. The young Caucasian lady comes to the window popping gum and says “what’s up?” (I was thinking I’m not your little friend so address me as a customer please) I then said this is what’s up and show her my phone and it’s their website and the details of what I want and she’s confused as well. At this point I wanted to drive off. She said let me get my manager. The manager comes back and I have to repeat myself again and show her what I want and she’s all confused. She gives me something similar but not what I wanted. The customer service is horrible here!!! I couldn’t even put up a fight to get what I truly wanted. I came here to get a comfort meal and they disturbed my peace in the worst way!!!

Horrible! I tried to pay with a gift card…but their gift card reader was down. Like what does that even mean? They should be able to accept their own gift cards. Annnnnd they didn’t flip the 1st blizzard upside down, and I said arent you supposed to flip it upside down? And he just kept staring at me and handing me the blizzard. Ok. The manager gave me the 2nd blizzard and turned it on its side but flipped it back up before it leaked out bc the top was melted! Bad service, ignorant manager.

I Rarely write any reviews and its either because I received an exceptional service or worst service. In this case this was worst. I usually discount one or two bad experience visits, but this DQ progressively disappointed me few visits in a row. 1st time we got nice well done banana split, horay! I thought we found a nice place for our sweet tooth desert weekends. Nope! Second time, Banana split ice-cream was a very little portion than 1st few times and it was half melted. Well okay this happens. Third time, they forgot to put banana, well happens, got quickly fixed up. Fourth time well now its a pattern, placed an order, waited 20 minutes in dining, they came up said, sorry no bananas left. Well maybe you guys can skip the banana and just add a bit extra ice-cream instead, they said okay. waited another 20 minutes, received a melted mess that I could hardly call an ice-cream, and no extra ice-cream to compensate for missing bananas. Eat what we could, left rest of the melted ice-cream in a trash and vowed to never return to this location, and maybe even DQ itself. Will try Braum's ice cream next time, maybe its time to switch long time loyalty to somewhere where customer will not be disappointed. This location needs a management change to win us back.

Walked in and was greeted by one of the managers who was nice and I had asked if they had any cakes made but they were not and needed to be called in ahead of time. Which was fine, I had no issue. We were then told that we would be waited on by an employee in the back. We decided to wait to order a blizzard, but we were greeted by who looked to be another manager and in a very rude way looked us up and down and said, “oh God” in a disrespectful way and walked right back in the kitchen. We waited a few minutes and no help came. I suggested to go to Greenville instead. I’ve worked in fast food before and I’ve had my bad days but I’ve never disrespected a customer like that. Apparently there have been complaints about this same employee. I have never written a bad review before, the other guys seemed nice but this one man was just terrible. I suggest Greenville or rockwall instead, it’s worth the drive.

6/1/2017. Really bad customer service. I ordered food to go but it was on a tray. The server then drops the fries and scoops it up with her bare hands and went to get another one without washing her hands. A customer can concur that. So okay the apologize, I didn't make a big deal even though I was already hungry and wanted to get home after working late. Then, I get home and of course I'm tired and hungry forgot my dessert I ordered with the rest of the stuff. I came back with my son to DR to get the dessert. I get there and of course they new why I was there for. The order taker asked if I wanted a refund I said yes. Here comes the manager and gives me a refund. I walk to the exit doors and my son walks out with me. I looked and he was not holding the dessert. In a loud voice I said, why are you not at least offer us the dessert for free since we came back. Manager says" I said to your son to take it " My son said he did not hear hear, nor did I. I ask the other workers and none said they heard her either because they were behind the counter but yet they heard me(still behind the counter ) when I ask if they heard her. Even the girl next to hear didn't hear anything. If the girl next to hear didn't hear her, what more about us almost out the door. Then she tells me that they were so busy and that's the reason for forgetting the orders. This is what the manager tells me? OK I get that, but that's all the more reason to be more offerative to the customers when you messed up their orders and show how disgusting the employees are. Yes the business gets busy but that's not a reason for an employee to short-cut things by picking up dropped food from the floor with their hands and gets new food and not washing before doing it. I wonder if the food they've served in the passed was made and handled with washed hands!!!!!!! BEWARE EVERYONE!!!! FOR SURE MY FAMILY WILL NOT BE COMING HERE ANY LONGER!!!!!!

Went in the restaurant just talking to someone from my class was going well until the manager saw me and I told him I wasn't ordering anything he told he to get out because I was talking to one of the employees note: I used to work at here back in September in 2021.The management has gotten worse ever since then they only got one good manager that I used to know their new manager he was rude to me because I was just talking to someone don't come here they more than likely gonna mess up your order. Get Deanna to train him because she is a good manager.

Probably ONE OF THE WORST DAIRY QUEENS EVER! I went through drive thru and it took way to long. Like they were ready for me to order and then they weren't ready for me to order. Like what? I had to wait until they said they were for me. I ordered and it took so long just for someone to assist us. So we decided to leave. I don't recommend this Dairy Queen. Oh, for the people that works there.. if you don't like your job find somewhere else instead of making your customers feel unwelcome.

If I could give no stars I would . This has been the worst experience I have ever had in a drive thru tonight ! The night shift manager hands me my drink and the lids not all the way on so when I sit it in my cup holder it's explodes out the top all over my car and myself! Drenched in coke ! So I get home with my meal and my order is wrong . They gave me a bacon burger and I ordered the jalapeño burger so I called and she said to come back and get the correct burger . I go through the drive thru and waited in line for 51 minutes . They hand me my bag with only the burger replaced . No fry's . The manager on shift told me they were only correcting what was wrong . So I'm supposed to eat a warm burger ( that I literally saw them stick in the microwave) and cold fry's ? Who wants cold fry's . You should have let me give you the order back and you correct it ! Not only do I have coke all over the headliner of my car but horrible customer service to go along with it . UPDATE The Owner or someone from DQ commented to make contact about this review. I made contact after I made this review after they responded and nobody has returned my email or called. It has been 2 to 3 weeks

Music was way too loud. The floor is so slick that it's a fall risk to try and walk. They have signs out that say wet floors even though they are just slick and not freshly mopped, very humid, and hard to breathe. Does the owner not care to improve stores? This isn't the first DQ like this, I've been to like this. It's a miserable feeling. The employees must feel the same because they seem to not care either.

Majority of the workers were standing around and laughing with each other. I think I only saw 1 maybe 2 doing a little work but the rest just stood and laughed and looked at their phone. We only went for dipped cones and a blizzard and it took them 10 minutes to take our money, made us move forward and made us wait another 15 minutes to bring half our order and rest after. Possibly longer. I have no clue who is running DQ but if you don't get ahold of it, I am sure you will lose business. I hope it gets better.

So very disappointed when I stopped by for a ice cream cone. Threw it out before I left the parking lot! Why would you change DQ's wonderful ice cream to whatever it was you gave me?

The server was curious. The did was cold and tasteless. The dining area is dirty and in disrepair. The restrooms were dirty and smelled.

My first time ever in life trying DQ. I’ve always seen the commercials. So I downloaded the app to order 4 blizzards for my family. The app didn’t allow orders at the location. So I handed the cashier my phone to scan barcode. I was told they don’t have a scanner and couldn’t figure out how to manually enter it. Fine, I asked for the receipt but there was no paper. Then proceeded to hand me 4 cups of milk with candy and cookie pieces. I’ve never been to DQ but I know the blizzards are suppose to be turned upside down. Instead it was a watery mess. The guys were nice at the window. This is a general manager and owner issue. This place have failed to train its staff properly. Shame on management for working a skeleton crew that is poorly trained.

This location has steadily.gone downhill since it opened. Always get my order wrong, when you go in to have it corrected the employees are rude and unprofessional. Nobody there takes the job seriously and cares about getting the orders right. My last blizzard was completely wrong, didn't notice till I got home, had tondrive all the way back to get it remade. The new one was barely mixed and the bottom half was just straight ice cream. So disappointed. Our family will not be back there!

waited 25 minutes in a line just to wait another 10 at the box and be told that they didn't have icecream. we ended up getting 2 drinks and 2 dillybars, through the window we saw multiple people messing around and horseplaying (frowned apon in the food business) we waited another 10 minutes to get those things. our sever was keandre.

For $40 I really expected a lot more, or at least food that was edible. The burger was disgusting (had a weird fishy taste), the chicken tenders tasted like they were made with fish batter, and chocolate milk for my kids looked like nesquik powder that wasn’t stirred in, and the fries were blah. The steak fries were so gross, my kids barely ate a few bites. And the gravy was chunky and bland. The only good part about this meal was my Dr Pepper. They also didn’t give my kids the ice cream that came with their meals. We are super disappointed and will not be returning.

Really disappointed! Dairy Queen Royse City you must do better. We ordered our meal tonight and the whole order was wrong. Yes we doordashed but not There fault. When I tried to call up to Dairy Queen the number had been changed. No forwarding number.we paid for an order we didn’t receive. So wrong.

We went for a drive and stopped at DQ for some ice cream. It was a bad experience. The service was horrible and ice cream was not up to par. We waited for 45 minutes to receive our order correctly. If we had not paid we would have driven away.

Worst experience ever! Don’t ever go to Royse City DQ! Save yourself the hassle! This is the 3rd time they have let us down and I just don’t think there is anything that can change how I feel about this location with its current management. I ordered an ice cream cake over the weekend and went to the Dairy Queen in Royse City to pick it up. Upon arrival, I was informed that they never received my order. They offered me one of the cakes that they did have. Unfortunately, they did not have the size that I needed, so I asked if they could give me the 10 inch regular ice cream cake (priced at 32.99 when ordered) for the price of the 8 inch regular ice cream cake (priced at 28.99) which is what I ordered. They called the GM who then told them I could go to Rockwall (which would add another 45 minutes of driving for me). When I didn’t want to do that with my toddler in tow, they then told me they could give it to me at the 8 inch cake price. While they were writing on it, something happened and we ended up waiting another 30 minutes for the cake to have writing added to it. Upon checkout, he went to ring it up and rang it up as the wrong kind of cake. I informed him that it was a regular cake and not a blizzard cake and he said that they are all the same and the same price. I informed him of the pricing online when ordering a cake and he said that he can’t give me those prices even if I was picking up the cake I ordered. So after waiting with my toddler inside of DQ for an hour for a cake that I pre-ordered 4 days prior, I paid 32.99 instead of the 28.99 I should have paid for the cake I ordered. The online ordering should work! And if for some reason it doesn’t, it should be made right and I don’t think that happened today. I am overly frustrated that I paid more than I should have and that it took so long with no customer service at all. They did not care that I waited an hour. They did not try to accommodate for the situation. And their prices should match online! I am fairly certain he charged me for the 10 inch cake by saying all he could charge me for was a blizzard cake when it is clearly not a blizzard cake. We have been here before when they said all they could make were mini blizzards because they didn’t have cups, they have had times where they didn’t have ice cream, and now this. I am officially done. We will go elsewhere from now on!!!!

We have given this Dairy Queen so many chances. Their vanilla soft serve ice cream is THE WORST ice cream I’ve ever had from a Dairy Queen!!! It is NOT ice cream it looks and tastes just like really bad frozen yogurt. Time and time again we have gone thinking maybe they are just having an off day but it is always the same. If you want real ice cream go to Dairy Queen in Greenville theirs is the real deal. Another bonus is Greenville also has chocolate soft serve ice cream too!!! You won’t be disappointed save your time and money and go right to Greenville DQ.

Bad visit... Ordered 2 orders of Chicken n dumplings and a Dude meal. Got home to what looked like a cup of colored water... Out of the big cup sold to us take a look at what was in the cup. Pic attached. When I went back and began to show the manager what was served to me he stated sometimes it's runny like water! And when I showed him what was in the bowl and what I had to serve to my 2yr old granddaughter because she wasn't understanding going back, he was more concerned with replacing the Dude and it taking 10min to cook! No apologies no drink while I wait the 10 minutes just pull over there. Once I received the replacement order and driving off, I decided to eat a fry from my meal.... Noooo fries in the bag and I had to turn around again! This time they say...oh sorry we'll give you a large fry... A larger fry really. I'm done

Seriously you give me 3 overflowing blizzards in a to go cup holder with ice cream all over the cups and the box soaking with ice cream and a small vanilla shake that is only half full and ice cream all over it no napkins and no straw or spoons and then get upset when I ask for napkins please and spoons. I didn't realize it was as yucky until we were driving off ornid of sent it back in for them to wipe off.disapponted in their service and attitudes lately. Pic is of 1 I got the others out and wiped off so they wouldn't melt anymore in warm car.

Tried to order blizzards and my family dinner and I was told the machine would take too long to get up and going. Told them I’d wait, they proceed to tell me I’m not going to have you wait. Pull up and pay for them to tell me to park in a parking spot. I waited and waited finally it shows up, they didn’t give me our drinks. I had to go inside to get the drinks, I then notice that everyone that’s inside are ordering blizzards and they are receiving them. Also there was a Uber eats delivery lady in there waiting and the big guy with dreads proceeds to argue with her and she left without the full order. The guy with dreads also down graded the front counter girl who was just trying to help out. Worst experience at this location. I normally don’t even do a review. But food these days is getting expensive. Would love to have better experience next time I’d like to get my family food. I hope you take care of the issue soon. Thanks and have a great night. Your system is telling me I need a receipt with I stated I didn’t receive one. Didn’t even receive my receipt either.

I had such a disappointing experience at this location tonight. I was on my way home from visiting my sister in the area and went through the drive through. I order a chicken strip basket meal and a new your cheesecake blizzard with no strawberry middle. When I get to the widow I'm handed the blizzard pretty quick and immediately notice it's completely white meaning not made correctly. I alert the person at the window and he goes have it corrected. (It was missing the Graham base.) Then I get told to pull up and they'll bring my order out. About 5 minutes later when it is brought out I open it to eat in the car and realized I got served steak fingers instead of chicken strips. I had to park and go inside because there was a longer line now in the drive through. Turns out they mixed my order up with someone else's and we get it corrected. (I also would like to mention they were out of barbecue as well, I don't like gravy especially not with chicken strips.) I get on the highway and take another bite of my blizzard and turns out instead of cheesecake bites, there's cookie dough in the blizzard. (I would also like to point out as a former DQ employee I know the cookie dough blizzard has chocolate syrup in it, so as a cookie dough blizzard it was also made wrong.) Both parts of my honestly pretty easy order were messed up and had to be corrected. So disappointing, would not recommend this location.

I gave 1 star as there is nothing for a negative 150%. Worst service EVER! This is my final visit! Every time I have been to this establishment in the past 2 months let alone the past year, my food is always slapped together and thrown in a greasy package and or spilled out in to the to go bag. The window help is AWFUL! This trip took the cake! I ordered a kids cheese burger and a small/med chili cheese fries. Gross! And my meal was $18 plus. This is outrageous customer service and food handling I have ever seen.

The place smelt of low aspirations and failure. The fries were room temp, the burger bun was refrigerator cold. The burger was lukewarm and dry. I asked for mayo and ketchup only on my burger. They cashier put it in as such. The manager got mad at the cashier because she thought it was in addition which didn't matter because they only put mustard on it anyway. I felt bad for the cashier. Long story short. Don't expect us back any time soon. One year later, we tried it again. It's still more of a disappointment than a woke Californian. A girl on her break was sitting at a table without shoes on sprawled out with her feet kn the table next to her. DISGUSTING! No one had hair nets or beard covers. This place needs new management, new employees etc. When our ice cream had been sitting in the window for a few minutes I asked if it was ours, I was told no. So I waited a few more minutes for another employee to tell me they were mine and acted like I should have gone behind the counter to get them. A little petty but not one blizzard was flipped over. Isn't that their thing???

This location has totally diminished in every aspect. I order the reeses blizzard and it totally sucks. Something has changed with the ice cream...more like frozen ice milk. They put absolutely no reeses, only little broken pieces of chocolate. I've given them 5 chances in two weeks. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Please train your staff on how to make blizzards. Never had this issue 6 months ago.

This place sucks. I wish we had a better ice cream place in Royse City. The kids that work here can’t even make a proper peanut buster parfait. There is never a manager in there. I blame Mr and Mrs Glass (the franchise owners) for this terrible location. It’s always been bad. Nobody at this location cares.

SLOWEST SERVICE EVER. Drive through live had a really long line so we went inside to order only 2 blizzards. We were the only ones in line to order and it took 10 minutes for somebody to even acknowledge we were there. We should have left at that point but figured since it was only 2 blizzards it would be fast.. wrong! We waited 30 more minutes to get our ice cream. I understand things taking a little longer if everybody is working but only 2-3 people in the back seemed to care or even be working. Everybody else was standing around on their phones or standing around.
