Enjoyed everything we ate. Fried catfish filets were nicely breaded, no "muddy" taste and fried perfectly, not greasy. Hushpuppies were really good. A basket was given when we sat down and more came on the plates. Baked potato was perfect, creamy. Salad bar had a well stocked selection and was clean. The slaw was really tasty too.

My wife and I, had lunch here for the first time. Both being fans of fried catfish, we each order the two-piece fillet option, one of us going w/a baked potato and the other, French fries; Cole slaw & hushpuppies, were included. The catfish was cooked perfectly and the flavor, was awesome; you could taste the freshness in the fish. The fries were nicely seasoned and had a crispness to them; Cole slaw was sweet & creamy. And then, there were the hushpuppies: Some of the best we've ever eaten; those 'puppies' were special, y'all!!!! They also feature burgers, fish sandwich, hand-battered chicken tenders, shrimp - catfish & shrimp, are offered fried, blackened, or, grilled - hamburger steak w/onions & gravy (come w/Texas toast), desserts (ask your server for choices), Pepsi products, coffee, tea & milk; literally something for the entire family (yep, a nice kids menu, too)! Food is GREAT. Thursday is brisket day. The sandwich is phenomenal, and the fried fish is just perfect. Best hushpuppies you’ll find. If you haven’t tried it, you need to.

Let me be brutally honest: this place RUINED me. Before Catfish Springs, I was a normal person who could casually eat fried fish and move on with my life. Now? Now I’m a full-blown addict. Their catfish is so crispy and so perfectly seasoned. And the owners? Don’t even get me started. They’re out here being all warm, kind, and welcoming..like, who gave them the right to be this nice? I came for dinner, not free therapy and a sense of belonging. Calm down, ma’am, I wasn’t ready to be emotionally adopted today. 🫶🏼

We had a wonderful lunch yesterday at Catfish Springs! Blackened catfish was really awesome: the fried fillets and whole fried whole fish were great as well. Best thing about our meal was our server, Nick. He was so polite and helpful. We will definitely ask for his table when we go back, which will be SOON!

First of all, I want to apologize. Because I must try past this place. A couple times a day, and never thought I was missing a single thing... I don't even want a review an.Establishment, unless it has something to offer that is not daily or routine. But my wife really enjoyed her dish " voo doo catfish ". In fact, commenting on how decently made the jumbolia was needing not any improvement. She did expressly communicate the fact that the shrimp sauce on top of the dish was extremely unique and brought out a wonderful flavor. And the size of the sausage cuts indicated that it would be a finished product where the sausage would provide a slightly more dense experience. My blue cheeseburger was absolutely outstanding. Nicely cooked, well, furnished and deliciously wrapped around a brioche bun. But this blue cheese burger isn't for everyone. In fact, he manages to pack about two ounces of blue cheese on the burger itself and my wife, who will occasionally have blue cheese.Didn't care for it because it was too overwhelming for her. However, if you order blue cheese burgers and enjoy blue cheese, the way I do, it was a wonderful robust amount of blue cheese. That would certainly satisfy your palate. Yes, there's a salad bar. There's a nice menu. The interior is a little bit not well kept. Or not considerate, but on the other hand some of the places that are the most popular. Seem to have some kind of ability for distraction through eating. For communicating with people at other tables about how drifty it is and how cold it?That's so funny..... Yes, it's a little wore down inside. But the air conditioning was blowing right on us, and this, a wonderful spring day outside, where it 's like seventy degrees.And overcast and just very mild. And the only drawback to the atmosphere was that we had to ask for the air conditioning to be turned down.Because one couple actually went out and put on their jackets that they had in the vehicle. The attentiveness of the staff was out of this world. They worked together, they asked other people. If they needed any attention or anything. And everything was up to their expectations. I think they were extremely thoughtful and attentive to what they were supposed to do. And I really appreciated that, and I hope everybody reacts realizes that they go above and beyond what a server is expected to provide.

We were a party of 4. Everyone likes their food which included the catfish filets, chicken tenders and hamburger steak. Only complaint was my baked potato was left over from the day before because it was very dark in color and pretty dry. Otherwise food was good. Nice people working there.

Food was good. Server was polite. I would recommend it as an option to try. Menu has a few more items than just catfish. My mom really liked the hamburger steak. Hush puppies were really good and the fries have a nice seasoning on them.

Food was out quick, hot.. Service was just okay. The choices on menu and sides are very limited. Did have a couple specials. The catfish was really good !! We will try again.

Well this was my first time visiting and I knew it was Friday night. After hunting all day, I called to see how long the wait time would be a to go plate, 15-20 minutes. So I said I'll call back later to place my order. Called at 6:23 pm, arrived at 6:40 pm Told the young lady that I had a to go order and gave my name. She immediately asked the cooks, and said it would be right up. 40 minutes later I asked again and they finally gave me my order. I ordered 2 whole catfish, slaw, baked potato, hush puppies and onion. Now they are out of baked potatoes and settled for fries, but I didn't check my box before leaving. When I arrived home to give the wife her dinner, guess what "No Cole Slaw"! So know she's making some slaw. I will say the food was really good, but the service is lacking, I'm gonna say its lack of experience or growing pains. Everyone was nice but they were overwhelmed with customers. I watched several tables that were already seated when I arrived get up and leave. While I was at the counter waiting, everyone stated the food was delicious, so if your patient and willing to wait you'll enjoy the food.

Catfish was over cooked with very little seasoning, hush puppies were more like fried balls of cornbread no onion no seasoning and also over cooked, fries were good, mayo slaw was good. Tartar sauce was very thin. Service was OK had to ask for more tea. Unsweetened tea the only non sugar option was Sweet n Low. Atmosphere was OK but it was absolutely freezing in the dining area which cooled the food before you had a chance to eat it. Most people in the restaurant called CATFISH SPRINGS was ordering burgers. Was our first trip there and possibly the last may give them another chance in a few months.

I would put zero if I could because I’m beyond upset at the racism shown . I’m so upset I’m even having to post this but last night my husband and I decided to take our friend to catfish springs … We go to walk in and the restaurant was loud with people talking but as soon as our friend walked in the restaurant went hush , you could hear a pen drop . we sit at our table ( no hush puppies brought but the old white couple next to use who got there after us had their hush puppis , drink , and order in ) but we sat non the less and watched . they finally come to take our order still no hush puppies but that isn’t really a big deal however the way everyone especially the bald headed man who one of the workers called her “ daddy “ was staring and watching us . We get our drinks after we had been there 20 minutes ( they did not get refilled ONCE ) About 15 minutes after that my husband and I got our food but our friend didn’t ( could be a coincidence at first ) then another 20 minutes pass the bald headed cook or whoever comes asking how food taste he went to EVERY SINGLE TABLE BUT skipped ours and the table with two beautiful black women in it he completely ignored snarled his noses up and ignored them and our friend . now I’m pissed so I ask “ WHEN DO YOU PLAN ON BRINING HIS FOOD “. Now they’re all acting clueless and say they forgot .. he ordered catfish with a baked potato they tell him no potatoes no more ( but he would’ve got one if they brought his plate out 30 minutes before with ours ) however now they’re saying they’re out but they’ll make it fresh … before Angel our server could leave our table another server had his plate there so it wasn’t cooked fresh My heart broke for our last night , and for him to tell us that’s the worst it’s ever been with someone just being so openly racist in a restaurant setting is HEARTBREAKING … Also they messed up his food but Compt mine and my husbands meals gave them to us free and our friends which was the one meal they didn’t wanna cook we paid for . so please be cautious eating here because they do discriminate .

My family and I visited Catfish Springs in Russellville, Al a few weeks ago. This was our second visit. The first time was on Christmas Day and we had really been looking forward to having the steak as we had been seeing pictures on fb and they looked absolutely delicious. However, they only have steak plates on Friday and Saturday so this being a Thursday we just assumed they didn't have it available. Well, apparently they were serving steaks but our waitress, who didn't seem to really care what we wanted or that we were even there, didn't tell us, "oh btw we are serving steaks today". (They were not on the menu she gave us). Anyway, we tried other things and food was good but again, service was lacking. We figured maybe she didn't wanna be there on Christmas 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now to our most recent visit....we get there and get seated (same waitress) and place our order at 4:50. My daughter wanted the chicken tenders and my husband & I shared the steak plate. Well 20/30 min go by and no food...no refills for our empty glasses...no "y'all's food will be out soon"....nothing! Like we were invisible. In the meantime, at least 3 other tables, who came in and ordered way after us, had their food. Some steak plates. Also, We are sitting right near the counter and heard call in after call in order. Then we hear " No more steak orders, we are out of steaks".Well now we are getting worried so we flag our waitress down and ask her what's up with our food. She acts like she has no recollection that we even ordered and offended that we were asking and pointing out that others already had their food. Some had even ate and left!! By this time it's going on 6:00 (remember we ordered at 4:50). So she goes in the back and out comes our food. My daughter's tenders were so greasy she immediately felt sick at her stomach and couldn't finish them, all the fries were cold and the steak was so small and dried up the only thing we could figure is it was the butt end and had been sitting in a to-go plate waiting to be picked up. We still never even had our drinks refilled. And zero apologies about any of it! For sure, no manager came out to ask how everything was! I wasn't ever gonna say anything but I saw someone mention an issue on a post of theirs so I replied about our similar experience. Next thing I know, I'm blocked from their page (I was following them) and comment was deleted. Still no "I'm sorry you had a bad experience, we will do better, kiss my foot and don't come back"! Nothing. Bad thing is , I know the owner and am really disappointed in how he is running his business 🥺

Waited for 1hr 20 min for halfway warm food. Fried catfish was pretty good. Hishpuppies pretty good, onion rings pretty good. Grilled catfish un-eatable. Cold as ice and way undercooked.

Catfish springs, Slaw taste like just mayo and pepper. Owners having owned a BBQ place before you would think the slaw would be good. Hush puppies taste like corn meal. Don't say anything to owners or they will be extremely hateful.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The fish tasted like dirty river water and was full of bones, like it had been cooked by someone who’s never touched a piece of fish before. The fries were plain and flavorless, the coleslaw was nothing but pepper, and the hush puppies were just balls of grease. But the biggest issue? The owner. Watching a grown man run a business page with zero professionalism, lashing out instead of taking accountability, is honestly pathetic. A grown man not having accountability just doesn’t sit right with me — and it shows in the food and the atmosphere. Save yourself the disappointment and eat literally anywhere else.
