This is a new place my husband and I found. We ordered the Cajun pasta. Really good! BIG PORTION! The staff and regulars have been really welcoming.

Hidden gem. Friendly staff, chill atmosphere, good vibes. I've been both with friends and with my kids and this place has been great every time.

Attended a concert for 3hours last Saturday. Music was great as was the food and service.Plenty of shade. Lovely afternoon.

Good people, good food. The salad was fresh and the blue cheese dressing has lumps of blue cheese in it. I would like them to consider adding more variety to their light in calorie beers uch as Michelob ultra, Carona Premier. This place promotes live music and kareoke. Very fun place, good people and good food.

I had a great time watching football on Sunday. I ordered the Bleu Cheese Burger and it was very delicious and the beer was extremely cold! Definitely will be visiting again. Frank was quick with the beer and great with suggestions for food.

Haven't been there in years. Ate a huge portion of prime rib.. yummm. 🥘 They also had country music performed by the A.C. McKinney Band who were absolutely awesome 😉 The band played on their beautiful and private patio area which sits in this lovely green backyard of trees. This place is a hidden gem. 💎

Walked in about 3pm, good atmosphere and a wedding was set up on the side lawn. We started with an order of spring rolls. They really stack them on the plate. We then had a Brookside Club Sandwich and Teriyaki Burger. Both tasted fresh and had good flavor. Service was a tad slow as there was only the bartender and one waiter, but it was a slow day and they were both friendly and genuine. We sat behind the bar on high tables to watch the ball game. Great place for a meal and drink.

Fine place, garden/patio dining (& drinkin’), the band Roni & the Flight were rockin’ and the dance floor was hoppin’. Good eats, supportin’ a Family Operated Restaurant which offers friendly vibes and live music to “get your groove on.”

Chicken tacos here are to die for especially with there green salsa. If you like spicy salsa I would absolutely recommend this! And even if you don't like spicy the tacos just by themselves are fantastic! I can be stuffed and still want more!!!!

I play poker in my league at Brookside every Wednesday and Thursday it is absolutely wonderful the food is really lovely. The owners Sal and Tracy are the loveliest of people it is family run and family oriented. Come and give it a try.

This is a wonderful family Cafe but it definitely does not have Cafe food. Their dinners in particular are very high quality. The service is always impeccable the restaurant is clean and newly remodeled a great place to go with friends to sit back and enjoy a meal with no stress

Mellisa was great! She recommended a chimichanga version of a sandwich, something I'd never heard of before, and it was amazing! The sampler appetizer was equally delicious! This was our second time here, but I think we've found our new hunger fix location.

Great little spot for a quick bite of American food. Went here tonight for dinner, wasn't really sure what to expect, but, ended up really enjoying ourselves. Food was decent, we had the ribeye, and their prime rib (only served on Fridays), and we both enjoyed our meals. We also have 3 beers, and two margaritas, and out tab was about $70, which isn't bad at all. I do wish a nice roll, or some kind of bread was served with our steaks, but I suppose that is just personal preference. What I really enjoyed was the staff. I love when you walk into the place and you really can't say anything bad about the staff. Everyone was friendly, everyone was smiling, and helpful. The owner even sat down at our table and visited with for a bit. They had a great band going on outside, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the evening. This place seemed to be a very family friendly restaurant, which is nice to see a nice atmosphere where both adults and kids can enjoy. To me this place reminded me of an extension of family, and that friendly serivce and warm environment will for sure bring us back.

A few weeks ago my wife saw a post shared on Facebook mentioning Taco Tuesdays and Trivia night. We aren’t typically trivia people, but she wanted to try something new. Tonight was our first opportunity to make it down and what was originally intended to be a date night with just the two of us turned into a family night with the kids after they heard we were doing trivia. We arrived and we’re uncertain of what to expect. After finding some seats we waited for assistance and were helped by a gentleman who was ready to get us some drinks while we poked over the menu. We ordered just before Trivia started and waited for our food. I had read a few reviews regarding length of wait time for food and yes it was a little long compared to some restaurants, but we were in no hurry and the food was delicious. We ordered 3 orders of there Taco Tuesday plates, a sampler plate, and some chicken strips for our youngest. The Taco Tuesday Deal alone was worth the visit. Staff was friendly and helpful and checked in often. A few apologies were made for waits, but were never needed. Trivia was fun even though we came in last place in the end. We laughed and truly loved the atmosphere. We plan on coming back, but might need to recruit a few team members for Trivia. Thinking we might have just found our new local hidden watering hole. Thinking we may even try eating out on the patio next time. Brookside is absolutely worth a visit.

The two of us shared a 12 oz. steak and loaded potatoe plate with an added side salad and satisfying bowl of soup. Plenty of food for a heavy eater me and a very light eater. Steak came as requested; a true medium rare. No grizzle and only an ounce or so of fat. Start of lunch crowd so no delays in service. Nice quite meal with view over a small open patio. Some confusion on current hours.

Great food, especially the Prime-Rib! Huge plate portions, cut about 1/2" thick and the perfect amount of 'pink'. Very tender And juicy. Beautiful location, was once a local winery, and the owners have utilized much of the original furniture and decor. Bartender mixes a great drink, very reasonable prices. Trivia night at quite popular with the locals, as well as live music.

Really fantastic food. The band tonight, Modern Relics, was great. Even though they were short staffed tonight with just one waiter for the entire outside area the overall service was good. They really tried and with all the staffing shortages all over I appreciate the service a ton.

This is a genuine Cheers Bar n Grille!!! Easy going and very friendly environment for locals and visitors. Reasonably priced refreshments and menu. Excellent Happy Hour and customer service. Friday nights they always have some entetraining live music and dancing. Always a good time and meeting new friends with no regrets! Cheers!

We only got a pitcher of beer so I can't really judge the drinks. Bathrooms were clean and well set up. They have live bands play on weekends I think and it's not too loud and adds as a plus to atmosphere and ambience.

We had our daughters first communion on 5/13. The service is outstanding. The venue is amazing. You can’t go wrong your guest will love the environment and hospitality the staff provides you. The food is consistently good and the ingredients are fresh. The side salad with the burger was crispy and refreshing. The staff are attentive and friendly.

I love Brookside. I go in with a friend quite often. We like to say; "it's the Cheers of Rancho Cordova". The people are friendly. Sal behind the bar is a hoot. He might even dance for you. Today I had the 1/2 sandwich (ham and cheese dressed) and soup of the day (tortilla soup). Music on the bike box is always great!

Nice cozy restaurant. Friendly staff even when short staffed. Had the steak fajitas, pot stickers and potato skins. Bar trivia night on Tuesdays. Definitely will become a retiring customer.

I've never had a bad dinner here. I don't come here often because it's out of my range, but I've been coming for YEARS. I always recommend it. Super small and cute, with tasty food.

Very nice place near by our house but they will charge you extra for just using card. The price of the foods is decent. They should let people know that they will charge you extra if you use credit card. Otherwise, people can pay with cash. We love to support local but not when the charge you 2-3 dollars just for using card. We can go to chili's and get better deals and they won't charge you for using card.

The food was great! my aunt ordered coffee and had one sip and could not drink anymore. I was excited because now I would get the super strong coffee. After drinking 1/3 of the coffee, I started to get heart palpitations that continued for the next 48hours! the property was absolutely beautiful! wedding worthy! staff was really nice and service was also great.

Drinks were good and food was good. It wasn't very busy in the restaurant area but the bar area was slamming. The waitress was cool and attentive. The decor is fugly and it smells like an old smokey bar but I suppose it adds to the charm. I will definitely go back and bring my hubby for some grub and drinks.

Prices very reasonable, lots of locals that frequent the place. Good indication that it's a place to check out! Separate checks for the group was very nice! To charge a fee for using a credit card, not too happy about that but understand that cards cost the merchant to process.

Had a late lunch in the bar. Bartender was very nice and helpful. I had buffalo chicken salad with a side of potato salad. My wife got some of small plate specials (nachos and quesadilla). We both really enjoyed the food. The service was fantastic. They accommodated my gluten free with several options and we're very conscientious.

Went here for the Superbowl and had a really good experience. $10 all you can eat buffet was good. Nacho bar, hot dogs, fries... the basics. But, for 10 bucks I wasn't expecting steak. The projector we watched the game on was a really nice way to watch the game. I've eaten here for dinner before and the food is really good too.

It gets 3 stars because it adds a fee for using a credit card. This was not told when we sat down. Their prices are more then on the website, which is understandable, but that is what prices are for, covering the cost of doing business.

I will say that they need help. 3 1/2 stars. They truly need the staff to pull off CS. 1 1/2 later a nephrew & neice receives food. They just need help. So if you need a job. It looks like a good place to work. Can't be lazy, can't be flakey. Cuz the staff is hospitable and friendly. The restaurant needs help. Must have serving heart to fit in.

Street tacos served outside and you can take your beers outside. Nice bartenders and good selection of beers and drinks. Country music playing inside. Nice grounds outside with tables to sit at. I'll be back.

Food is just ok, initial service was slow, no one to great us we had to ask to be seated and then waited for a while fir our order to be taken.

Not that great. The staff was very friendly. But over all, I was not impressed with this place. The menu items sound fancy, but the items we received we closer to tasteless. Just bland. The other customers coming in were all going to the bar and it seemed that everyone knew each other. So if you want a warm welcome, join the bar crowd. (I don't drink, so it's not my thing.)

The place was nice, I ordered a ginger beer like I usually do and it was more than I have ever paid for one anywhere else (5$ for a small can of soda) happy hour was nice for the folks who drink Miller. The food was good, but the owner was harassing the bride at the wedding I went to about other people bringing in drinks. I feel like it's the bars responsibility to handle that stuff but to each their own. Overall I feel like 3/5 was about right for this establishment.

Came for the prime rib and free live music. Live music was great, but everything else about this place was bad. I really had high hopes especially for a place that slow cooks their beef for almost a full day.. Meat was so tough it bent my fork and dry that I had to drown it in Au Jus dip and chase it with water. The veggies were actually pretty good, the bake potatoe was microwaved probably to heat it back up, and the Mash was box made. We got a sampler, which was good minus the wings being cold in the middle still. This place could be so much better if they had a little more help and another cook. Especially on busy nights.

This place is NOTHING special. I was actually disappointed by the food every time I ate there. I used to live across the street. We would walk over to attempt to avoid calling an Uber... We only did this maybe thrice. The bartender chick was super awesome. The owner is dull, and offers poor service and overcharges you for watered down beverages. I get the good reviews because the people that frequent this place don't go anywhere else, and are regularly driving home drunk as all get out. I had shepard's pie once and it was more like a soup! Not good at all and barely any meat. Once I ordered fish and chips and my Morton's Fish Fillet was still partially frozen! I would not ever willingly return here. If you're wondering why I still gave them a couple stars, again, it was the bartender... I think her name was Angela? She was great 2/3 times we were there. That was their saving grace with me!

Taco Tuesday..... Just don't do it. The chicken tacos were awful it looks like they took a piece of fried chicken ripped it apart left all the gristley pieces in and laid it into an over fried flour tortilla shell with mushy tomatoes and horrible wilted lettuce on top. The beef one was no better it was just plain quick fried beef over cooked into a taco shell which had no flavor whatsoever and they had the audacity to charge $6 for both of them no side dishes nothing it was pretty ridiculous. The rest of the items on the menu sounded like they would be good but I would be hard-pressed to actually go back. One good thing to their credit was the drink I had, very tasty, one of their specialty drinks cranberries and ginger very yummy.

Went last night (Friday) to have Prime Rib birthday dinner which was advertised on their website and menu. But no Prime Rib and no excuse was offered or favorable alternative suggested. The waitperson was pretty lame. At 6:30 PM on a Friday night, this place was dead and had very low energy. We paid for our drinks and left...and were so glad we did. We went to a restaurant in Ranch Cordova that serve excellent Prime Rib with outstanding waitstaff. That restaurant was hopping fun. This place once was good. I will avoid from now on.

I so wanted to like this restaurant. I do know it's hard to get restaurant help right now, and we did take this into account, but... ... from walking in, it wasn't clear what to do, or where to sit. We sat outside, which was ok, until the band started. They needed more practice, and it was loud! I very rarely eat prime rib, or any red meat, so I was excited to get it, but though I asked for medium, it came well done... not very flavorful either. Wish them luck, but it won't be with our help. we have not been here for awhile, wanted the prime rib dinner and was told they don't have it. so i asked for the ribeye steak with cheese and mushrooms, when it finally arrived there was no cheese or mushrooms and the steak was so salty that i could not eat it. very disappointed

I odered the cajun pasta as I have in the past and it came out like a soup with only a butter flavor. When the server asked if I wanted the cook to make it again I asked why, if he they couldn't get it right the first time why would I want it again. I was replied with I don't have to be sarcastic about it. There were several others in the party that heard this and wanted to walk out. So when I was offered something different I said sure a burger with no pink. It was brought out quickly and when I picked it up to take a bite it dripped red... Last time we ever go there. They wonder why they never have more than a few tables occupied. If I could give them less than one star I would.

They denied my Sacramento News & Review Sweet Deal.... a deal that has no expiration date written on it and is a deal within the local community with a local paper. I've purchased SN&R sweet deals for years and this has never happened. Not even when I was moving and found ones that were over a year old, which this one was not. They adviced a refund but if SN&R can refund it why can't you just take it and turn it in for the value with them like all other merchants have claimed they can still do? Honestly worse for them cause I wasn't even interested in the place, which looks really out of date inside and out, until I found the sweet deal so I left with no motivation to come back.

What a horrible place run by white trash scum. The owner tries increasing prices after you order regardless of what the menu says, they are slow and pricey with terrible customer service and the food is a 4 out of 10.

Love to go enjoy live music. Singer Kadia was the BEST! However, the service for food and drink was beyond disappointing. No service outdoor, one had to order at the bar. Only one server for the entire restaurant struggling to bring food both inside and outside. Drinks were horrible. Seriously, drinks were pretty bad. Wish it had been different because Kandia really brings a good crowd

I NEVER write reviews or complain about restaurants. This is a first for me. This place is dirty. I wiped a thick layer of dust off of a highchair before we sat down and I'm glad I had a highchair cover with me. That should have been an indication but we stayed anyway. I ordered the avocado burger. The waitress (who i should say was very nice and the one bright spot on the visit) asked how i wanted it cooked, i said medium rare. It was well done, and unseasoned. It was topped with hard UNRIPENED avocado and the bun was STALE. Also this place is so overpriced. I noticed kitchen staff with long hair not netted. Walls and fixtures were filthy. Just dont eat here. Maybe it's okay for drinks

I guess you need to know what to order or be drunk, don't order the steak or prime rib you have to pay for the sauce that usually comes with prime rib. It seems like they overcooked a baked potato and put it in the microwave you don't get any sour cream with your baked potato unless you pay. the steak and prime rib are mostly fat not good hard and overcooked.

The food was OK. The service was horrible and we went at a slow time of day where only 2 other tables were full. One of the tables was a very loud group of older people who were clearly drunk. They were continuously using foul language that filled up the entire restaurant and they were never asked to quite down or watch their language. Instead they just kept ordering more drinks and were served when they seriously needed to be cut off. I could hear them cussing and laughing even when I used the restroom. We were never asked if our food was good. We were never offered dessert and never even offered an apology for the disgusting behavior of the other party. The decor was really old looking, and the salt and pepper shakers had old crusted food all over them and looked like they haven't been cleaned in MONTHS. I left the restaurant with a horrible migraine and that's the first and last time I will come here. This would be a good place to come to if you're looking to get plastered in a restaurant with no cut off limit. If you're looking for a nice place to eat, in a pleasant environment, with remotely decent service, DON'T COME HERE!

Heard some really good things about this place so wanted to really give it a try. Nice lil spot it was clean inside. One of the staff not sure if she was manager or not walked from table to table talking to people never came to mine which would have been fine if we didn't have to wait 20mins for someone to bring us menus. We finally ordered our food bacon 🥓 cheese burger medium for me Ruben sandwich for my friend. Ordered a few drinks whiskey sour for me first sip was oh so nice got goood taste of whiskey than nothing after that almost like the whiskey was spooned on the top to give you that first taste the rest was weak. Ok here comes our food brought to us by a younger guy who was very friendly and helpful. Took first bite of my burger it was rare not medium my buddies sandwich came out with little to no meat on it. Tried to flag down someone but not able to we just ate and decided not to come here again. Food wasn't good service was lacking.

I was with a 12 person group. Charged $7 for a Coors light, charged 26% gratuity, (the person next to me was charged 33%) taxed on the 26% gratuity, charged a non cash adjustment, then they ask if you'd like to add another 18-25% on top of that.
