Opinions de La Cosecha Sacramento
Very clean and people were friendly!
We had dinner here as part of the Dine Downtown promotion that local restaurants participate in. La Cosecha featured a 4-course prix fixe menu. Every bite was delicious. We started out with pozole, then shrimp bruschetta, followed by a carne asada plate and finishing with churros and ice cream. The flavors were absolutely incredible! The service was warm and friendly, and the overall location and vibe of the restaurant was just wonderful. We'd come back for the shrimp bruschetta alone, but the restaurant really is great all-around.
What an incredible experience! The restaurant was spotless, welcoming, and full of charm. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious—beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish was clearly made with care, and the atmosphere made it all the more enjoyable. A special mention goes to the photographer, who did an amazing job capturing the moment. The photos were professional, creative, and truly brought out the warmth of the experience. It made the evening feel even more memorable.
Been wanting to check this place out 😎 HaNdS dOwN to this place 🥳🥳. The food was fantastic 😋 for an appetizer we had the Civiche mixta and an order of guacamole 🥑 which I felt could have been a little bit more but it was very good for dinner I had the chile verde with rice and beans 🫘 , the carne asada was delish as well , and the carnita tacos 🌮 with pickled onions on top were bombastic 🤩 the mole enchiladas was so good the sauce was in point then we had a few cocktails a raspberry watermelon 🍉 margaritas oof 💯🙃😋🥳🥳 definitely recommend this place
The carne asada platter was good. Also got a serving of guacamole. The tortillas were fresh and hot and the service was quick and attentive. The steak i ordered was medium well and so tender and flavorful. Wasn’t what i was expecting based off the menu description but pretty good. Glad i got it. The drinks here are pretty good too. In middle of the park tho have to watch out for homeless people a little bit more interactive than other areas.
The Burger was great. Nice Char flavor, some mexican spice. Would definitely get again. They also had some local beer on tap, which is always a plus. Chips, Salsa and Queso were solid. I'd like a little more chunk on my salsa, but that's very much a personal preference. Location was great, it was a great looking spot to be at. The outdoor section especially stands out. Service was good, everyone was friendly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Experience at La Cosecha by Mayahuel! I recently visited La Cosecha by Mayahuel and had an outstanding experience. Salvador, my bartender, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Fernanda was also very helpful and ensured that our needs were met throughout the evening. We started with the chips and salsa, which were fresh and flavorful. The guacamole was truly fantastic - creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned. Overall, I highly recommend La Cosecha by Mayahuel for its excellent food, exceptional service, and warm atmosphere. Can't wait to return!
Pretty cool spot in Cesar Chavez plaza with a great ambiance. We got the dealer’s choice for drinks, which we liked. We also went with the Mexico City Burgers. They season the beef patties really well here and the burger itself is decently sized! The waiter was attentive and would help out with anything we needed in a timely manner.
This restaurant is so beautiful! Their patio is large and decorated so nicely, lots of colors and plants, with a large fireplace and heaters around the tables. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and ALL of the food was delicious, but my favorite part was the Mexican hot chocolate. My friend and I ordered two because it was just that good, especially in the cooler fall weather. Highly recommend as they serve brunch and lunch at the same time on the weekends!
My husband and I love this place. Each time we've been we feel like we've been transported somewhere else. And their unique dishes make it another reason why we feel that we're on vacation when we dine there. Both times we've been it has been for lunch, and I'd like to try for dinner to see how the atmosphere changes. The only downside is that there is a coffee bar that, when closed, does not allow you to order coffee from the restaurant.
I’ll start this off by saying in Mexican so I am pretty picky when it comes to eating Mexican food. I loved this place. My family and I ordered the carne asada, carnitas and mole. The carne asada was so soft and just melted in my mouth. The carnitas tasted good, but they were a bit dry. I do wish they came with a pico de Gallo. The mole was my absolute favorite. By the taste alone I could tell that the sauce was made in the restaurant. It was more authentic than the kind I make out of a jar at home 😂 I also asked which drinks the waiter would recommend and he offered some from the menu and some that weren’t listed. The drinks were soooo good and came out very quickly. Chips and salsa were additional cost, but they were a must! The chips looked like they were made out of fresh tortillas and the salsa verve was full of flavor (I asked for more of this to put on the carnitas). I would absolutely recommend La Cosecha. It has a super cute aesthetic and the staff were very attentive. I can’t wait to go back!
The Real Deal is La Cosecha by Mayahuel which delivers a great outdoor and indoor feel and atmosphere! Let’s start with the service which was good, a little slow on a Friday considering it was a little slow. The atmosphere is very well done with outdoor seating some with heaters, different settings for different vibes include an outdoor bar, and the indoor area completes several choices to enjoy different atmospheres. On to The FOOD (Here we go!): I had a little dinner with the Tijuana Caesar Salad which was really good, good flavor and portion and plated in a wooden bowl (8.5/10). The other picture I don’t recall the name of this other dish but it reminds me of a Mexican Style Brushetta with chipotle sauce, bacon, and shrimp which delivers on flavors (7/10). I can’t wait to come back and try more and I hear the drinks are the main focus at this place, I plan to step-up the report on the next visit.
Nestled in a cozy corner, this restaurant is a gem for anyone seeking a delightful dining experience. The standout dish for me has to be the flautas, which are simply irresistible. Each bite is a flavorful journey that leaves you craving more. The overall food quality is commendable, with a menu that caters to diverse tastes. The customer service is equally impressive, marked by friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home. Additionally, the timely food preparation ensures that you never have to wait long to enjoy your meal. Whether you're in for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner, this place consistently delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!
The atmosphere is awesome, and it is a good place to hang out. The food isn't really authentic but decent.. and reasonable pricing. Menu and bar is decent but not the authenticity I was looking for. The staff are awesome, friendly, and quick. I'd say it's a good place to hangout for sure.. just needs more authentic Mexican food
We came out for Cinco De Mayo for drinks and food with friends. We sat outside, the atmosphere was nice. The service was great because of how packed they were. Our server's name was Mariella she was very nice and friendly, very accommodating. The food was delicious. I got the fish taco dinner, and I wish I would have gotten more rice. Maybe because they were so busy, that's why maybe my plates was prepared quickly, and I got a smaller portion of rice, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. We also ordered 4 more plates to go. It was a great night with friends ☺️
Took my partner to Sacramento for the first time for his birthday and this place so happened to be in the area where we were. Although I loved the atmosphere, I can’t give this place a good review. 49 dollars for 1 wet burrito and 1 regular burrito that came with tortillas chips ?. Don’t be fooled the chips & salsa is a 5 dollar extra charge but they don’t tell you. The water tastes bad too. I won’t be returning here. Thanks anyways
Have no idea where these 5 stars are coming from! Just pass altogether as there are way better places to eat Mexican food in Sac. We went as a party of 4 around 4pm on a Saturday in the summer heat. We walked up to what looks cute and aesthetic. We waited for 5 minutes at the host booth outside for someone to greet us and figured well let's check if it's okay to sear ourselves. As soon as we opened the door the arrogant waiter said to go back outside and wait as he didn't have time to seat us yet. That should've been our sign to leave. But we waited and he came asked if we prefer inside or outside. We asked if AC was on inside and he said yes. It was hotter inside than outside so I was drippin sweat trying to enjoy dinner. We asked the waiter a few questions and he seemed bothered. Maybe because he was stressed he was the only one waiting on tables for the entire place. Luckily there weren't many people there. Food and drinks were all below standard. I ordered the cucumber marg it was terrible. Lacked a balance of flavor to alcohol. The tequila used overpowered the cucumber. The old fashion my husband ordered was fine and my friends pineapple drink was all juice. He forgot my mom's ice tea and she asked to switch to an horchata instead since they hadn't poured it yet. My mom ordered an horchata which was bland without sweetener. The food arrived promptly so they deserve a star for the quickness from ordering to having the food out. We ordered: Chips and Salsa - good salsa very mild and expected. Queso fundido - was like velveta cheese or nacho cheese. They say 3 cheese blend but not even the chorizo can hide the fake cheese flavor. Our fault as I assumed it'd have queso Oaxaca as they quote all over their menu where the recipe is from. Guess they know better on that. 1/10 Torta de Milanesa - which was a pork chop fried. Absolutely not milanesa as a milanesa is a pork cutlet pounded thin and fried. 2/10 Enchiladas verdes with chicken - the tortilla seemed straight from the bag and warmed in the micro then a lil sauce thrown on top. They were very dry. Least they had a little spice. 3/10 Pozole rojo - least that came with a lot of meat and was standard with flavor. We asked for spicy salsa as usually you get Chile de aceite to add which it didn't come with. The waiter said he had Chile de arbol so we expected to get a salsa with heat but nope. 5/10 Combo plate with Chile relleno and tamal - this plate was served with black beans and rice. The rice was decent. Beans had zero flavor and it would've been nice to have an option for an alternative. The chile relleno and tamal were smothered in an orange sauce which drowned any flavor as it reminded me of a sauce made with a base of chef boyarde tomato. The chile relleno looked like it was made with chile poblano which is a great start but don't smother it in a horrible sauce. The tamal probably would've been good if it didn't have the sauce on it. 3/10 Lastly, the waiter's arrogance with the heat was a complete souring. I would give more stars had the customer service been great. However, never complain about customers in front of other customers. (The waiter was a short older man) What's also with a 3% kitchen staff fee?! Since when do you not price your food to pay your staff accordingly or require the waiters to split a percentage from their tips. Especially after the waiter justifying why chips and salsa are no longer free as the work and ingredients that go into it have to be paid. Disclosures: I am Mexican and have traveled all over Mexico. Never have I ever tried these so called authentic flavors or been so disappointed. Being an avid cook who makes food from scratch they definitely need to revisit recipes and products they're using. Too bad as I really wanted to find a new place that has great drinks and food.
