Hi, we were crossing the street then we found out this Amazing place ! As a owner of a Middle Eastern restaurant in other state, I can confirm that this was a great and an Amazing authentic experience, staff are friendly, food was excellent, delicious and fresh I enjoyed every meal that I had and it was a great portion!
The food is 10/10. When we arrived, the server immediately brought us bowls of hot lentil soup, followed by an appetizer sampler. The appetizers we ordered were not necessary. For entees, we ordered the dolma and the chicken tikka plate. The dolma came with lamb. Make sure to get the flat bread and hummus. All of the food was absolutely delicious.
EXCELLENT EVERYTHING! We greeted by very friendly and nice hosts who seated us right away. Our waitress was equally lovely and offered the most polite and professional service. FOOD TO DIE FOR! We ordered mix plate shawarma and lamb tikka - both very delicious. Before our main course, the restaurant offers a wonderful lentil soup and a chef choice appetizer (4) per person. We were extremely impressed by the high level of service and food. I urge you to get this place on your list! You won't be disappointed! Overall⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quality ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Service 💎💎💎💎💎 Food⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ❤️
If you're looking for a delightful Middle Eastern culinary experience in Sacramento, Summer Nights is the place to be. Specializing in Iraqi cuisine, this restaurant offers a variety of authentic dishes that are sure to impress. During our visit, we tried the falafel plate, which came with freshly baked bread. The falafel was incredibly light, with a perfect balance of spices and texture that made each bite a pleasure. The accompanying bread was warm, soft, and a perfect complement to the dish. The service at Summer Nights was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Additionally, the freshness of the ingredients was evident in every dish, enhancing the overall dining experience. Overall, Summer Nights is a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Middle Eastern flavors in Sacramento. With great food and top-notch service, it promises a memorable dining experience.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this establishment! The ambiance, filled with fantastic Arabic music, added to the delightful atmosphere. The lunch offering was exceptional, comprising a hearty soup, a selection of four fresh delicious salads, and a satisfying main course complete with rice and freshly baked naan bread. On my second visit, I indulged in the juicy chicken seekh kebab, which was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend! Paid 25 for all of it
The authentic Iraqi food according to my Iraqi local friend! Very delicious and portion is huge! Lamb Quzi and Beef kebab is must try. I wish portion is a smaller so the price can be lower too but I always take left over home so it’s really worth all money you pay for. Did I mention that they also give you lentil soup and 4 random middle eastern appetizers with every entry for free??
Sumer Nights is hands down one of the best Arabic restaurants I’ve been to! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and beautifully kept the place is the smell alone made me hungry before I even sat down! You can tell right away this is a place that takes pride in both its food and atmosphere. The service is amazing the staff are friendly, welcoming, and they truly go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They were happy to explain the menu and made sure everything came out just right. Now the food absolutely delicious. I had [insert your dishes, like “the mixed grill, rice, and fresh hummus with warm bread”] and every bite was packed with flavor. The meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the portions were generous. Even the side dishes and tea were done with care. You can taste the tradition and love in their cooking. And the best part? The prices are really cheap for the quality you get. It’s rare to find food this good at such a great value. If you’re craving authentic Arabic flavors in a clean, cozy, and friendly environment, I highly recommend Sumer Nights. I’ll definitely be coming back again Kareem
Honestly the food at this restaurant is so good so delicious the service is really good. Sorry I was so hungry on Tuesday and I was thinking about your food all day but you guys were closed. But I really love your food so much
We really liked the place, the food was amazing with varieties of dips, bread and lentil soup. Portions are huge so be aware. Pompano fish was amazing
I had such a wonderful experience at Sumer Nights! I brought my whole family—a large party—and the staff welcomed us with open arms. Even though we didn’t have much notice, they seated us right away and brought out starters almost immediately. The food was absolutely amazing—authentic Iraqi flavors that took me right back home. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients, and every dish was full of flavor. The smell, ambience, and atmosphere made the entire experience unforgettable. The team there truly goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and appreciated. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon!
Great Iraqi restaurant with delicious, authentic food. The portions were very appropriate and satisfying, and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The ambience was pleasant and comfortable, making it a nice place to dine in. Overall, a very good experience and definitely worth visiting again.
Such a beautiful location. Came to eat with my family and the food was delicious! Very affordable and great quality. Nice decor and great service. Would come again.
Loved the juicy beef and lamb kabob, savory lentil soup, creamy hummus, and crunchy on outside and soft on inside authentic falafel. Great service. I like lemon on the hummus and soup, thanks for bringing it. Bread was soft and warm. Delighted to find this place!
Amazing food!! I would say hats off to one the best mediterranean food I have had in the Sacramento area. The ambience is great the service is well mannered and above all the food tastes fresh. It is not easy to find places where you can taste fresh meat, this is the place to go for that. Highly highly recommend this place
Order a “plate” and receive a multi-course event. Make a point of trying all the “chef’s choice appetizers” you’re given — you will be surprised at how delicious things like pickled beets can be. Food is impeccable. This is the best Middle Eastern food I’ve ever had. Service is lovely. Ambience is very nice. Shares parking with a low-end strip mall.
This place is amazing! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. They really made the whole experience feel special. The owners are just as kind and respectful, and it shows that they genuinely care about their customers. The food? Absolutely delicious. Everything was super fresh and full of flavor. You can tell they use high quality ingredients, and every bite was on point. It’s some of the best Middle Eastern food I’ve had, and definitely my go to spot in Sacramento now. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes, amazing service, and food that hits the spot every time, this is it. Highly recommend checking it out! Best in sac without a doubt 🔥.
I am writing this review as I’m just done eating and didnt want to be late for posting this. You MUST try it. I got a Chicken Mandi and it was over my expectations. Amazing food. Even the fries were somewhat next level to me.
If you're looking for an authentic halal Mediterranean dining experience, this place is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service that continued throughout our meal. The ambience is elegant and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. We ordered the Araby Beef Shawarma Plate, Mandi Chicken Plate, and the Beef & Lamb Kebab Skewer each dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The spices and seasonings were spot on, and you can truly taste the authenticity in every bite. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but the quality of food, portion sizes, and overall experience make it well worth it. Highly recommended for anyone craving true Mediterranean flavors with top-notch service.
I’m writing this a few days after I went here, so I’m looking at a picture of my food and I’m reminiscing. It was SO GOOD The environment is amazing, and I regret not taking pictures of the restaurant. It’s very quiet in there and they don’t have music playing (which I like). They open at 3:00pm on Fridays and we went there right when they opened, as we were coming straight from Jummah. I went with three other people, and the food was so good and we were all so hungry that we were SILENT as soon as the food came. And that’s a very rare occurrence if I’m at a table. I would definitely suggest sharing a plate with another person, as each platter comes with an appetizer, and it is on the expensive side. Yum yum YUM
Exceptionally professional service evwry time I come. There's a specific waitresss I have the hugest crush on, she's so gorgeous! Hi if you see this girl. Anyways, the food is delicious, healthy, and light. I love the free appetizers we receive! I honestly could make a meal out of those alone. They usually have a plate of four sections of 4 different appetizers and a huge piece of plate bread that you can dip it in. They have a flavorful hummus, a refreshing yogurt cucumber dip, a red paste of some sort ( I didnt get a chance to ask what it is, and either and eggplant dipp or a salad, sometimes they add or switch it up) this all includes the huge piece of bread annnd a bowl of chicken lentil soup. I could eat a bowl lentil soup and be happy tbh! Their orders are def family sizes. I have never been able to finish any dish I've gotten there and the dish looks like it can feed up to 4 people. The rice is fragrant, soft and adorned with raisins and sliced almonds, sooo delicate and good. All the meat dishes are tender, and flavorful. Seating is ample, and there is tons of space. I'd like to see them redecorate the place a bit more, I feel the design it has does not suit the repertoire of the place. I come here when I want something filling, yet healthy and light for me. Tha k you for the sweets afterwards as well, I always snag something new to try.
Food was so good! Simple and very flavorful. The lentil soup I believe. Omg could have eaten way more of it. The sides for the bread were really great! Such a variation.
We recently visited this Middle Eastern restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely phenomenal—bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The appetizers served alongside the main entrées were a delightful surprise, and every bite was as delicious as it looks in the pictures. The chicken tikka and kabob plates were exceptional, packed with authentic taste that left us wanting more. While the food was top-notch, the service could use improvement. The restaurant, though spacious and inviting, had only three staff members managing everything, which caused delays in service and left us requesting basics like plates and water. This was a bit disappointing given the restaurant’s potential. That being said, the incredible food more than made up for it. I cannot wait to return and would highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves Middle Eastern cuisine. It is a true hidden gem!
My family and I drove two hours to visit this Iraqi restaurant and oh, what an incredible experience it was! We ordered the family meal combination, and I must say, the food was simply amazing! The restaurant had such a clean and inviting atmosphere that only added to the enjoyment of our meal. The employees and waitresses were incredibly welcoming and attentive to all guests, making us feel right at home. Every item on the menu impressed us with its quality and cleanliness along with authentic taste, unlike many Arabic restaurants around. Rest assured, we will definitely be making the trip back to your restaurant as it is truly worth the drive and every penny spent.
I have been to this place three times in the last 5 months. They never disappointed. This time instead of dining in, I picked up my food. I was both surprised and happy when I saw the food. The portion size was perfect for the price. They also gave us bread(which I thought they only give you if you dine in). The food tasted amazing. The meat was very soft and juicy. Overall, 10/10 for everything.
I usually do not eat Mediterranean food in Sacramento but this place was fantastic! The service was super friendly and the food was authentic. Would recommend getting the grilled fish, it pleasantly surprised me.
We stopped in for dinner as I finished a workout at the next door Planet Fitness and was drawn by the beautiful patio. Too chilly to sit outside, we diner indoors and enjoyed the incredibly eclectic decor as we reviewed the menu. We both chose a platter, me chicken, my friend lamb. They started with an incredible lentil soup. I dove in before I thought to get a good photo. It was really flavorful and creamy. The waitress said the appetizer was whatever the chef decided and we each got an interesting variety, all of it was very good. Entrees were plentiful and did not disappoint. We left satisfied, stuffed, and with enough food for 2 more meals. Highly recommend Sumer Nights. My one observation, the elevator music kills the vibe. It definitely isn't it. We would have enjoyed something more appropriate to the menu. Overall, great find!
Came here in December and enjoyed the food so much I decided to take my family here. Everyone was so impressed by the portion and flavors of the meal. Staff was amazing and the restaurant was clean. Can't wait to come back to try the rest of the dish. What we ordered: - chicken kabob - chicken Tikka - gyro plate - fish - grilled onions - lemonade (tasted like fresh lemonade) - orderd an extra lental soup for to go This place for us was 10/10!

As someone familiar with the food in lower Gulf, this place truly exceeded my expectations. I tried the beef Kabab Naffar and Ouzi, both of which were outstanding. They were freshly prepared, and each portion could easily serve two people.
This Middle Eastern restaurant in Midtown Sacramento created an incredibly warm and inviting experience. The chicken shawarma was tender with beautifully layered spices, and the hummus had a smooth, almost comforting richness. The staff were kind without being intrusive, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and genuine. A meal that brings both flavor and a sense of belonging.
After a late shift, I came here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the staff was, even close to closing time. I ordered chicken souvlaki with rice, and it was hot, flavorful, and satisfying. The mellow lighting, cozy booths, and quiet background music gave me the perfect chance to unwind before heading home.
This restaurant is a hidden gem for Mediterranean cuisine lovers. The staff was knowledgeable and happily explained the different mezze options. The baba ganoush was smoky and smooth, while the lamb tagine was bursting with spices and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere mixed rustic charm with modern touches, making it an ideal backdrop for savoring and sharing an authentic foodie experience.

We tried this restaurant for dinner on Saturday night. There was a party of 40 ppl for birthday, so it took a bit long for food to come. staff especially the waitresses are really nice and helpful. Finally, a Muslim owned and Halal serving restaurant that also cares about the ambience and decor and doesn't just serve falafel and Gyros !!! We loved the atmosphere and the spaciousness. We need more Middle Eastern Restaurants in Sacramento area to follow his/her lead for sure!! A bit pricey, but the portions are generous, we loved the appetizers and the lentil soup. Definitely bringing more family and friends here!

Great place however, the taste is not that exceptional as it's been advertised. Majority of the things are not that great as they should be. The food taste was not good at all at over last visit. However, the view is exceptional as compare to the food.

A new Iraqi restaurant in the city of Sacramento specializing in halal meat from oriental grills and chicken, as well as Lebanese appetizers. Iraqi bread is kneaded and grilled in the restaurant’s special oven and served with the food, fresh and hot. The place is organized but the both restrooms are always dirty and never have a hand paper . It is preferable to visit it if you want to try the distinguished Iraqi food. Also they can do delivery with DoorDash and Uber eats.any person want to have his meal must take care it’s not at the weekend or the holidays because all the orders the staff will inform you at the entrance all orders will be delayed for 45 minutes , so please take care.
I used to go this place for dining and used to order mixed grill. Today i ordered the same as usual and suppose to pay $30 for the dish but when i got the bill i found that they charged $10 more for the same dish and the waitress explained that because i ordered all beef meat without explaining that when i ordered first. Second thing, the “Tekka” it seams that it is reheated and not fresh. Service was not that bad but the food was medium quality and overpriced not as the menu. I hope my review will be positive and they will improve that. Thank you Saad

Unfortunately, after we had Enjoyed this restaurant in the past few months, our relationship ended with them today. An employee was witnessed in the men's bathroom washing his hair in the sink, then using the urinal, leaving the facilities back into the kitchen without washing his hands. One of our party members confronted the employee. The owner approached us at the table, explaining that his employees don't have to wash their hands in the bathroom. They have wash facilities inside the kitchen area. If that's not a health code violation, i'm not sure what is classified as health code violation. In the same sentence, he mentioned that the person comes in an hour and a 1/2 a day to help around. He is not on their payroll. Is that a labor law violation, or what??
I ordered the lamb shawarma from your restaurant today, and unfortunately, it was not good at all. The meat was undercooked and extremely tough to chew, and the taste was very unpleasant. After eating it, I became very sick and even threw up. My stomach has been hurting all day. I’m very disappointed with the quality of this meal and feel that it was a waste of money. I hope you can look into this issue to prevent it from happening again.
