Opinions de Vegan Deadly Sins Sacramento
Great stop for me on my way through Sacramento. I got the kung pao chicken for dine in and then chicken chow mein to go. Both were very good and had all the flavors I'd expect from good Chinese food. The Thai iced tea boba was good. The chicken chow mein sat for about 5 hours and was still some of the best chow mein I've ever had. I'd definitely recommend this place. Service was good, quick, polite and friendly.
I had a delicious home-cooked spicy wonton soup with plenty of vegetables. It was a nice, hearty and savory meal that hits the spot. I’d love to come back the next time I’m in town!
The food was amazing. The fried pumpkin was perfectly salted and spiced. The satay eggplant and tofu was delicately sautéed with a subtle peanut flavor. The spicy wontons were not very spicy but the sauce was on point. There was a small mixup in the Boba order but they fixed it quickly and the Beam Purple Peach tea turned out to be so good my daughter tucked it down before I could even get a taste. Kids love purple!!
this is my favourite restaurant in sacramento. the menu is incredible, the food is delicious, the service and atmoshere is perfect. food always comes out quick and hot.
Our new favorite spot!! 👑. This food is delicious - we got the coconut curry soup, the vegan ham fried rice, and the vegan beef chow mein. The vegan meats were prepared so well. And the flavors and sauces were great. On top of it all, the service here was just absolutely exceptional! They even gave us complimentary sesame seed balls without asking. And helped us with the order with we had to make a change. Absolutely wonderful to be here with these amazing people and eat the delicious food. Will definitely be back soon 💕
Kung Pao tofu was delicious ! Very good. The coconut curry soup was very watery and bland, I would not order again. Did not taste the curry or the coconut. Staff offered me a “concentrated broth” to add to the soup , which was still very bland. Please change the recipe, this dish has so much potential
I saw so many good things about this restaurant on vegan forums. I also drove by all the time when I would be downtown. I finally stopped in and didn't have regrets at all. The menu is huge and has a little of everything and something for everyone. All the dishes come with lots of veggies and are super fresh. The food comes out hot and fast. Staff was super friendly. Stop in and support!
My daughter bought me here for lunch on a rainy Friday in December. She’s a vegan and loves the food here. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I liked it too. Metered parking available right in front of the entrance.
Vegan Mongloan beef was nicely seasoned, and came with plenty of good vegetables. It did not, however, taste like Mongolian beef. The Veggie Delight also was quite tasty. Portions were ample.
Phenomenal experience. The food was amazing. The tofu was the best I've ever had. The chow mein was awesome. The sesame balls too. I also tried their boba and really enjoyed it. The food was also so fast!! Loved it. I'll be coming here every time I visit Sacramento.
OH MY GLOB! This place is incredible. I just ate there with my wife and kid and we enjoyed the food, drink, and service. One of the best dining experiences we have had in a while. To start, I am from Texas, which means I grew up eating Meat, Potatoes, and Sugar. I have recently started a plant-based diet. I have been very concerned about the quality of cuisine. Vegan food has a, perhaps unfair, reputation of being disgusting. I can say that the food we ate today was absolutely amazing. If this restaurant is what vegan food is supposed to be like, I will have no problems maintaining this plant-based diet. I had the Kung Pao Chicken Bowl, extra-spicy. We also ordered Walnut Prawns, Thai Curry Noodles, and another noodle bowl for my kid. The vegan chicken and shrimp were so believable. The taste was spot on. The texture was not alien. I was very surprised and impressed. The overall quality of the food was high because the ingredients were obviously high quality and fresh. The portion size was very good for the price. I couldn't finish my bowl and we ended up taking stuff home for later. Finally, the drinks were delicious. I am looking forward to coming back.

Five stars all around! If looking for great vegan food downtown Sacramento this is the spot! I’m not vegan but visited with a vegan eater. The vegan loved it but I (the non-vegan who was a bit skeptical to eat all vegan) also loved it! I was so surprised how amazing everything we tried was! We’ll be back again very soon to try other dishes. It’s also very reasonably priced in addition to being delicious. Not a fancy place. You order at the counter and they bring the food to the table.
Vegan Deadly Sins is absolutely phenomenal! The food is packed with bold flavor, creativity, and pure comfort. Every dish tastes indulgent while still being 100% plant-based — you truly don’t feel like you’re missing a thing. The presentation is beautiful, the portions are generous, and the quality is consistently outstanding. Whether you’re vegan or not, this place will impress you. The atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they serve. This is hands down a five-star experience and a must-visit spot for incredible vegan food! 🌱🔥
Really great food. Was fresh and quick too. Staff was friendly as well. Can’t wait to come back and try more things! Amazing vegan food

We had a nice meal. This was my second time visiting. A bit more salt in the food. We ordered a string bean and tofu, a pork w vegetables and a fried taro appetizer. It was all good.
I was staying in town and the hotel I was staying at had little to no Vegetarian options. I said something to the bartender and she agreed and let me know she is also vegetarian. I asked her if she knew of a place that is vegetarian and she recommended this place and even another employee chimed in saying it is really good so I thought it would give it a try. Up one walking up to the place I really was not sure about it but decided to go in. Let me be clear the atmosphere is mediocre at best. All this being sad I ended up ordering the Spicy Kung Pow Chicken Bowl and I have to say it was amazing as well as huge. I could have easily shared this (but I did not and ate every last morsel LOL). If you are skittish about policy food even my friends who think mild salsa is hot could have eaten this. If you have a chance to come over to this place you should definitely give it a try.

The food came out quick and it was hot. I had the sweet and sour chicken, it was delicious. My daughter had the fried pumpkin and she really enjoyed it. My sister got the fried wontons and spring rolls and she enjoyed them as well. We all got drinks, the brown sugar milk tea, the passion fruit green tea and the mango green tea, all the drinks were very tasty. This was all of our first time trying this restaurant and we will definitely be returning.😋
Great service, the staff were friendly. The restaurant was a little run down, meaning that decor was a little outdated and dining tables looked old. I don’t usually eat fake meat so I ordered items with “chicken” and “beef”, rather than purely vegetable dishes or items with tofu. The flavor of the food itself was average, nothing outstanding that would have me rave. There was a LOT of food in one order, however so definitely bring your appetite when you come here. The texture of the “meat” was pretty close to the real thing. To me, this is a place I would stop at if I was hungry, I didn’t want to cook and I had food restrictions. This place gets the job done. Oh, I also ordered a milk tea and the boba tasted fresh! I always appreciate when the tapioca is good.

I recently discovered this place and I was really looking forward to going. I'm not a vegetarian, but if Veggie Today (a superb vegan restaurant in downtown Concord across from Brendan Theater) ever opened a location in Sac, I definitely would become a vegetarian. This place looked promising, with an extensive menu, and everything looks delicious. But looks can definitely be deceiving. I was SO disappointed. I ordered kung pao tofu and crispy chicken. The kung pao consisted of large pieces of braised tofu and broccoli in a pleasant tasting sauce. The tofu (about six good-sized chunks) was good, but the broccoli was not fresh. After eating four florets, I knew it wasn't going to get better; I didn't finish it. The coating on the small chunks of chicken was devoid of seasoning, as was the chicken itself (I believe it's made from tofu, which requires a ton of seasoning); furthermore, it was a bit dry and over fried. I also ordered a boba, which I expected to be freshly made based on other reviews. It wasn't; it came in a premixed sealed cup. I liked it, but it would have been better had it been freshly made. On top of all that, the sticker shock was... well, shocking! I know I have to overpay for GOOD food (everything's overpriced, especially in California), but nothing I ordered here was worth the $35 I had to pay! I could've gotten 3 delicious meals at Panda Express for the same money.

I am Quite dissatisfied. I had been wanting to visit this location for a long time. I became even more enthusiastic after seeing photographs and reading reviews on the internet. However, I was unsatisfied with the taste of their cuisine, portions and surprised by the costs. Vegan chicken chow mein and eggplant & tofu were on my menu. I was really looking forward to it, but it tasted so basic that I wished I had gone to Panda Express instead. Customers are drawn to this eatery because of its unusual moniker, "vegan deadly sin." However, the meal ( taste & portion) they provide is a sin for the price they charge. I'm not saying the food was bad, but it didn't appear like it in the photographs. The staff was extremely pleasant, accommodating, and efficient. They offer a fantastic menu. There are numerous vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free alternatives available. You get to choose how spicy you want it to be.The food arrived really quickly. The environment is quite lovely, tidy, and clean. There are no parking concerns because there is a large paid parking lot right next to this location. I'm not sure I'll return to this restaurant, but to be honest, I really wanted to go and order something new.
After reading the reviews, I was pretty excited to try this place out. But, to my surprise they do not hold on to the reputation that they have earned through the reviews. I had below orders 1. Coconut curry soup Absolutely terrible. I regret ordering it. There was no flavor of coconut or any flavor at all. It seemed they were short on this item so it was decided to add water to it to increase the quantity and fulfill the order. Total waste of money on this. 2. Veggie Chowmein It tasted ok. To my surprise there were no sauces added in my take way order to be able to enhance the flavors. Mark my words, we needed sauce to enhance the flavors. 3. Vegan Ham Fried Rice It was the only dish that tasted fine. This was an order placed through Grub hub. There were special instructions added to send the cutlery and utensils with it, but they did not do that. Seemed they took advantage of the prepaid order. This was the worst experience in service from any restaurant I have had ever since I have been getting the food delivered. This is nothing but an overrated place that does not live up to its expectations but makes sure to charge hefty sum of money for the tasteless food they serve.

Hidden fees. When I received my receipt I noticed there were two hidden fees. 1) Service charge of 15% for parties of 5 or more. When I asked the staff about this service charge, they said it was on the menu. It turns out that this service charge is NOT on the main menu when you walk in (which the staff member acknowledged), but only in small print on the menu next to the cashier. Given that it is not on the main menu, I would expect to not be charged for it, but the staff member did not agree. Even if the service charge was clearly labeled, these are usually reserved for places where you have a waiter and not when you are coming up to the counter to order food. 2) They charge you 5% for paying with a credit card. I am almost certain that credit card companies are not charging the restaurant 5% for credit card transactions. If these are clearly posted then I can choose whether I want to eat there or not, but they are only evident once you pay for your meal.
