Opinions de The Shed Salado
Wow! This place is much bigger than it looks. Inside and outside seating. The burgers and pork sliders were amazing. What REALLY stands out is a small army of servers hustling and bustling and happy to work here! Impressive! Tip: Ask for Ricky
My friend and I were recommended to have a casual dinner here as we were out of towners. The server, Jessica warmly greeted us with a smile. Her menu recommendations were spot on. We each chose the Salado sliders which were delicious. They did not disappoint just as she said. She continued to check on us as we dined. She is a real asset to this restaurant. When you go, be sure to ask for Jessica.
We come to Salado every year for the Christmas Stroll & love it! We came in this past Dec 6, 2025, for dinner (Ricky was our waiter) He was so awesome! Very attentive, friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great as always and we had a great time. We hope to see Ricky on our next trip for Dec 2026!!
Came for lunch and it was great. The food portion is very much worth the price, I had to take half of my burger home. Service was fast and friendly.
Great food here. Wasn't a lot going on here as for entertainment and such. Food was real good. Service was fast and friendly and had good reasonable prices. I had the burger and it was great.
Amanda was an amazing server! Very impressed that she remembered all of our orders without writing them down, and they came out perfect! Great food! Great service!
Absolutely love the atmosphere here! Everyone was so friendly, respectful, and talkative! I loved the energy. Good vibes 100%! I had the shed burger, it was tasty, nothing fancy (but i grill/BBQ my own so Im probably picky). Next time I'll try something different, but its 100% worth coming back to. Finding a parking space in front wasnt the easiest, maybe there is more on the other sides? Not sure since it was my first time here. But again, definitely worth another trip!
The shed is a place where you can take just about anybody for anything. The service was polite, welcoming and quick. It felt almost like sitting down at home for a meal. The food was great and hot. I can't wait to go again.
Best in the area! The food was so good, portions were huge. The spicy margarita was one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had! Waitress was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
My wife and I stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon. We were immediately greeted and sat at a table. The venue was fairly packed with customers. We ordered the Redneck Cheese tray (summer sausage, cheddar and pepper jack cheese, cream cheese, crackers, grapes, and the star strawberry chipolte). It was delivered fairly quickly and was a nice light start to our meal. I had a mushroom and swiss burger, and my wife had the turkey Big Yard Bird burger. Both were cooked and seasoned very well. This was a great lunch option even though it was busy with customers. I will definitely be back with friends and family!
I wish I lived closer to this fun, laid back and super friendly restaurant! Jess took excellent care of me today at lunch. Cool decor on the walls makes you want to explore the entire place. I had the Shed Ultimate pizza and it was very good. Put this cool restaurant in your GPS and head over here. I’ll be back!
An absolutely fun little place to enjoy. The atmosphere is absolutely perfect. The food menu is relatively small but it works. The drink menu is a bit deceiving. We were given one by our server, which we ordered off of, and then later noticed another one on the napkin holder that had drinks we would have preferred. However, that being said, the drinks we did order were fantastic! So we didn't go wrong with what we ordered. We started out with some wings, always interesting to see what they will be like at a place we haven't tried... and let me tell you... these were some of the best ive ever had (we will absolutely be returning consistently for some more of this deliciousness). We followed them up with a cheeseburger and tots - the cheeseburger looked dry, but the meat was very tasty and surprisingly moist compared to how it looked (I can definitely recommend it). We also had the chicken salad sliders with coleslaw - this was really our only disappointment of the evening (the coleslaw was simply not good, and certainly not worth the upcharge) and the chickensalad sliders just were not up to par with the rest of the meal (hard bread and the chickensalad itself just didn't quite hit the right tones). Regardless, we loved our entire experience and have added this to our list of spots to hit on a regular basis. We can't wait to return for more wings and to try more of the menu.
Great food, great variety, and a great atmosphere- this is one of the best spots to go and eat in Salado!
We are frequent diners at The Shed, and the food and service are always top flight. Tonight, Austin was our server and he was most excellent!!
Great burgers, love the buns. Pull pork nachos with fries is a must. Great service and relaxed, family friendly location.
Love going here for the scenery and friendly, unique atmosphere. I always receive good service and the shed pie is my go to.
Great for a casual meal. Hamburgers are great. There's a full bar with a variety of drinks.
I recently had the buffalo wings at the shed. The wings were fantastic as well as the service. If you're in Salado, I would recommend the Shed!! It's a fun spot with great live music as well.

The swiss mushroom burger and sweet potato fries (extra crispy) were legit. I don't live near there, but I would go again.

Great food, great drinks, excellent service by Karen! Very clean and hospitable! Best cauliflower crust I’ve ever had! Crispy
Fun place to go and enjoy the beautiful weather. We ordered a salad, the baked potato pizza and the pulled pork pizza. All were good. Service was great! Only reason I wouldn't give a 5 star is that both pizzas could have used more flavor. But they weren't horrible! Honestly! We will definitely come back and try other items.
On a tranquil afternoon, while waiting for a nearby appointment, I popped in to investigate this interesting on-the-side-of-the road venue. I meandered around this “propiedad antigua y colorida” (colorful antique property) and it looked as if it would probably be a fun spot to visit at night! 😁 somewhat reminiscent of a sock-hop hamburger stand in a shed 😄 Walking in was like stepping back in time for me. Colorful 50s and 60s subtly hued, bright neon lights cast a spell on the inside. All around was comfortable outdoorsy yet eclectic seating areas promising a saucy rendezvous kind of like the booth in “the booth in the back in the corner in the dark” shades of yesteryear 😎 Staff greeted me immediately. I passed the hostess stand and walked towards the back to the bar. A patron was seated; he seemed content, and so I sat. The waitress immediately greeted me and offered a menu. I noticed a variety of food, carbonated beverages, beer, and some wine; however, not a full bar. It was after lunch and before dinner so I simply ordered some fries to snack on. The musica was lively and entertaining; setting a nostalgic mood. Looking around at the memorabilia was pleasurable. I think perhaps I should go and see what’s happening after dark! After all, there is seating on the outside as well! Perhaps I’ll see you there some time. 😎 Note: dine in or out; to go and pick up Four stars because there’s not a vegetarian option that I could see and I only had fries, but they were good!
We stopped by for a lunch detour and our way back to DFW. Great area with a craft brewery next door. We must have caught them on a bad day, because the waiter service was terribly slow and disappointing. Our food was GOOD, but the experience was meh. They serve gluten free buns if you have dietary restrictions. Prices were sort of high imo, more like a touristy option.
Pretty good for small town restaurant. The wings are dynamite! We tried the lemon pepper, mild buffalo and the Dr. Pepper sauces. All very good. I love how crispy the wings are. The burger mushroom, swiss burger is okay, it only had like 2 mushrooms on it. The pork nachos are very good as well. But overall it was a cute experience. It’s pretty warm in there in this Texas heat so dress accordingly. We’ll definitely be back for the wings next time we are on the area.
Went there today for the first time...it was great food and the waiter was very friendly. It was a little expensive but considering everything will go back again!

Very good bar/comfort food. I had the frito pie and it was good sized and covered. Jalapeño Ranch on my salad had a nice creamy kick to it.
It was a week night. There was not anyone to greet us, there wasn't a bartender, two young ladies were waiting on all of the tables and two cooks in the back. No manager. Thank goodness the young ladies were there and smiling. There were 3 of us and the bill was almost 70.00 for 3 hamburgers and tea. The meat was frozen and then burned the sweet potato fries were mushy and cold. Nothing was made fresh. That is a high bill for frozen food. What happened to this little restaurant?
Recently revisited The Shed during the Christmas festivities. The food is solidly good and they drive consistency in that area so you are able to come back for your favorites - mine include the Shed Pie or Chicken Salad. I was surprised by the real lack of hospitality this go round. Gone was the feeling that this was a local Salado eatery that appreciates its own. I asked to be seated where I wouldn’t be cold and was put in front of the open door in the Party Room. Even as another area cleared there, I was told I couldn’t be moved. Orders, food and drink all dropped by different waitstaff - no one checking back on if food was ok, etc. Seemed rush to turn the table. No cup (got off the bar) for my “dressed” Corona - just salt the bottle? A slew of help-yourself paper goods on the bar along with the dirty rags for wiping table. I appreciate the expediency of the service and quality of the food. We used to come have some beers and hang out. This doesn’t seem like our place anymore.

Buyer beware! The small pizza, which is more like a personal. It's the size of a tortilla. Is $14! The large pizza is also $14! They don't tell you when you order. Shame on The Shed for screwing the customer! It's bad enough that a burger cost $14, cheese is extra and so are the fries!
Upon arrival, we were immediately informed of about 12 things they were out of including basics like mayonnaise and cheddar cheese. They seemed surprised we decided to make do and stay…we were tired and hungry. My wife and I initially sat in a corner booth. Before our hamburgers arrived, we heard a squeak. I looked down to see a large mouse by my foot. It ran behind our booth between it and the wall and we could hear it clearly. We quickly got out of that area of the building. We informed hostess we were moving to the bar area and why. My wife proceeded to sit across from me and was already very nervous. She looked down and unbelievably had a lizard at her feet. She thought it was dead, but later learned it wasn’t as our waiter was trying to sweep it up and it was trying to escape. My wife decided to sit next to me and kept her feet off the ground until we walked out! Our server was good and very apologetic and embarrassed of the situation. When we got the bill, we were informed the manager was informed about our experience and reduced our bill by 30%. I was expecting a manager to come talk to us but that never happened. Seems like this must happen all the time and wasn’t a big deal to the manager. This was our 2nd time there. We came back because it was good the 1st time. We will never be back again that is for sure! Oh, as we were walking out there was another couple of victims sitting in the same booth we started at. Why? They clearly did not care.
Perhaps we tried this restaurant at the wrong time since we had 6 grandkids with us. The women who greeted us told us they were short-staffed at noon of NYE. And they were bumpin’! We were seated in 2 booths, (great 👍). Our order was taken within ten minutes, we received our drinks shortly thereafter and then nothing. No one else seemed to be moving much either. They have a great outdoor space that the kids ran some energy off. After 1 hour, I asked a waitress (learned she was the manager) and asked about our order. I explained that we had been there for an hour and the natives were restless. She returned to our table to explain that the waitress that took our order got sidetracked but they would get our order out to us quickly and she would see that we got a we received a discount. All the food was delicious except the wings that I ordered were dry and overcooked. The discount/comp was our drinks which were 4 waters and kids drinks. The manager was busy when we checked out and not available. Our first and last trip to the shack.
The service was very good. The food? Awful! Typical greasy bar food. And for some reason, pizza was not available.

Food was bad quality and not seasoned. Slow service. Restrooms and tables were not very clean. Will not return.
I would like to share this with owners of the shed. It is so hot in this restaurant that is very uncomfortable. Do you not have any respect for your employees working under these conditions!!!!
