Jacko's Corner is a great place!! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. All of the employees are incredibly friendly. Highly recommend checking out Jacko's corner!
It is true to the original shop. They make different types of soda and ice cream combinations. It is a great place to eat with a great small town feel.
Lovely atmosphere, food and music. Made reservation for dinner before the play.
Unique and well prepared food! Delicious! We plan to return often!
Delightful ambience, really creative, tasty food, lovely staff and fabulous jazz trio, five stars for all aspects.
I'm thrilled with my experience here. Everything was excellent. My wife and I can't wait to come back.
Good food and excellent drinks nice environment and people
Good food. Love the history of the old soda jerk store.
Great to see something good happening at a local landmark.
Great food and atmosphere
Outstanding food!!
Awesome little spot.
This is an amazing place!
The reinvention of Jacko's Corner is such a gift to the town - all thanks to the hard work and dedication of the owners and staff. A vintage, soda-fountain era environment with a vast selection of artisanal beers & wines - and staff who can help you choose. Lots of delicious gourmet small-bite food choices - you must try the divine smoked salmon tartine! Great live music - surprisingly amazing the talent that shows up on Open Mike Night! Friendly, down-home atmosphere.
I love our visits to Jacko's Corner, every time is a delight. There are delicious bites, a wide variety of beer, and a solid wine selection. There are also music nights featuring fun musicians, plus open-mic nights. You should check out the wall-art from area artists, like my beloved Noosh'Anna. Most of all, the staff and the patrons are friendly and welcoming in this warm-vibe spot for locals and out-of-towners alike.
My sister and I met at Jacko’s every week this summer for dinner and love everything about it. We’ve traveled numerous countries together and eaten everything from street food to high end dining, and Jacko’s is one of our favorite places - not just for the great food, but for their friendly, helpful staff and wonderful, hip, yet down home atmosphere. I highly recommend Jacko’s - you won’t be disappointed!
At Jacko's Corner, I enjoy the large selection of beer not found in other establishments such as Bodem and Fiddlehead's Mastermind. For small plates, there is something for everyone. I especially enjoy the pita pizza's like the Buffalo chicken and Philly cheese steak.
Wow, hidden gem in Salem NY. Kind of coffee shop meets trendy resturant feel. Extensive adult beverage menu. Live Music. Unique diverse food made with care. I will be back.
Small coffee place atmosphere with wonderful food. Did a mozzarella cheese salad and strawberry bomb for dessert. Was not overwhelmed with staff everything was perfect.
Jacko's has been a great addition to Salem and we are weekly patrons. Great beer selection and food. The live music series has been fantastic as well.
Ended up going here for pizza day and it was great the pizza was flavorful and the the prices were reasonable.
this is a great place to visit! i know most of the folks that are there and its always great to see so many familiar faces. i only wish they had a bigger menu of meal choices
This is such an awesome place! It's pretty small, which makes the experience intimate, personable, & very friendly. The food is incredible. If you're looking for basic "chicken tenders & fries", maybe try somewhere else. They have such a creative, colorful, bold, flavorful menu & I LOVE It. The espresso martini was perfect. Service was great. There is a rotating specials menu to keep things interesting as well.
Just came in much different then before. You have to see what’s new. The vibe is so mellow, very relaxing. Now serving Indian food. We got these watermelon skewers with a delicate cheese delicious. We got Meatballs that will make you crave more with a touch of heat on the side and tomato curry like I have never had. The prices are super reasonable. The cheesecake bites are delicious. They are now selling beer and wine, craft beers and my casual bud light.
A little gem on the corner of Main St. and Broadway in Salem, NY. This restaurant offers delightful small plates and desserts, as well as an excellent selection of beer and wine. As soon as we sat down, the attentive staff had water at our table, and at the ready to answer any questions about the menu. We opted for the charcuterie board and a selection of handpies. The handpies were absolutely delicious, and we especially enjoyed the green dipping sauce that came with it. The charcuterie board was a perfect accompaniment. For dessert, my peanut butter bomb was literally the bomb! Really, really good! I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again.
Great local place. Authentic food with a slant toward Indian flavors that pop. Well worth it. You won't find much better out here in a small town in the hills
A classic ice cream parlor/candy shop converted into a local foods, small-plate community bistro. Really fun atmosphere. Very tasty, surprising dishes. Ask for the garlic popcorn with your craft beer. I had BBQ chicken sliders, my spouse enjoyed Salmon Tartine, and we shared a marvelous chocolate cake with local Battenkill ice cream. Every bite delicious. Left with wallet still intact. Try it!
Delicious brunch this morning! Both of us LOVED our meals.
Yummy breakfast sandwich and a sleepy girl mocktail, Kennedi is awesome!! :))
Wonderful pub, original classic soda shop bar All the staff are really friendly 🙂 Extensive beer selection And live music!

Seems to be under new ownership. We visited Salem and this was recommended to us and we absolutely loved it! they have small tapas like plates - great for sharing while having wine and drinks. Cheese plates had local cheeses that were top notch! Everyone was super friendly and it was a true neighbor spot to feel welcome at! Walking distance to the Salem Art Works and all the local shops. Can’t wait to stop in again and see what they add to the menu! Brunch is on my mind!
Salem is lucky to have this warm, convivial restaurant in town. I had salmon the last time I was there, and it was moist, not rubbery, with a smooth pomegranate glaze that lifted the dish out of the ordinary and expected fare. It was accompanied by a mixed salad studded with pistachios which gave it an unexpected crunch. The salad came with a delicious dressing. When I asked the owner what it was he said he "had just whipped it on the fly" which perfectly captures the spirit of Jacko's - delicious, informal, and surprising.
Had dinner here last night. It was vegan night - and I'm not a vegan, but it was delicious. I had the Stuffed Acorn Squash: highly recommend! I ate every last bite. It was also special event with some memoirs being read. All in all, a great atmosphere, yummy food, and a chill vibe!
My parents and I enjoyed a Saturday brunch here a few weeks back. I got the Signature Eggs, my dad got the Breakfast BLT and Sleepy Girl Mocktail, and my mom got the Breakfast Burrito. I am not a huge fan of brunch (usually) because it is often greasy. But Jacko’s dishes were so fresh, and this was one of the best brunches I’ve had in YEARS! My Signature Eggs were perfectly poached and the flavors blended together beautifully. I tried a bite of the BLT and of the Burrito— both balanced, fresh, and delicious. I also tried several sips of the Sleepy Girl Mocktail. It was so good that I really should have ordered one of my own. On top of the great food, the building is beautiful, and our server was very helpful and very patient. The owner was very nice to talk with and shared some of the history of the building with my folks. Salem is lucky to have this gem of a restaurant! I am excited to come back for another serving. This time I’ll have to get the famous Chicken65!
Dinner last night was DELICIOUS! The meatballs were incredible, followed up with warm spiced rice pudding. Such a treat! The pianist added to the calming atmosphere and even took requests. Just an all around perfect night! Thank you Jacko’s!
Jacko's catered our office Holiday party. The food was outstanding! We had Butter chicken, vegetable Korma, Chana Masala and a delicious festive winter salad. They delivered and setup everything for us. We would definitely recommend Jacko's to anyone!
We absolutely love Jacko's,!! The open mic nights, the board game nights, live music - all super fun. The atmosphere is very upbeat and the staff is super accommodating. Not to mention how they are always open to new menu ideas and given our dietary restrictions, that speaks volumes as to the type of business they are. We've been going there since they opened and will continue to support the good people who run this establishment. Small business rules :)
Jacko's is a pleasant surprise. The menu has more choices than I expected and I look forward to returning to try more things. The staff is a bit thin for a busy theater night, but they are very nice and took the time to help us order.
Jacko's is the place to be in Salem! We've visited many times as a family (there's comfy seating and tables to play the fun games they provide AND coloring books!). We've also visited as adults to enjoy their extensive collection of beers/wines/ciders, YUM! Their drink and food selections are thoughtfully prepared and presented. The private events we've attended were EXCEPTIONAL from the food to the service, warm and welcoming ALWAYS! Brought my youngest daughter on a mommy/daughter dinner date and she asks to go back often. Thrilled to share fond memories at such a gem in our sweet little town. Thank you Jacko's !!
My friend from Illinois and I fell in love with Jacko’s Corner. We recently went there for the first time. The ambiance, the food and the warmth of all who work there was exceptional. Enjoyed the live music so much. I felt I was invited into your home. The presentation of food was impressive & delicious. We decided to have dessert, which we don’t normally do. It was to die for. Some frozen delight with chocolate & peanut butter. We'll be back!

Brunch was excellent!!! Good value. Would highly recommend it. We will be regulars.
Really great food and cool atmosphere keeping the charm from its long gone days as a ice cream counter.
Very clean and cute inside. Great food.
Nice and inventive menu in an 'old-timey' Soda Fountain place. Bright and cheerful. Attentive service. Large portions of Indian themed food. A welcome addition to ours town.
I went this past night to dine at Jacko's Corner and I just wanted to give the restaurant some constructive feedback on three things: 1) The Smoked Salmon Tartine is a very small portion to be a considered and priced as a Main dish, it would be much more adequate if it was an appetizer, especially the amount of smoked salmon served. 2) There was live music going on when I was there and even though the singer and the music choice were really good, the sound was way too loud for the size of the space. I literally could not hear what the people sitting beside me were saying, and one of the people who were with us even put on ear plugs to be able to stay at the restaurant. 3) We made a reservation a week ahead of time, but when we got there staff said they couldn't find it and that our table had already been reserved to another large group. That resulted into an uncomfortable and delicate situation where, while we were waiting for our food, the other group arrived and had to wait at a table behind us, as the other nearby table became available so they could merge.

Meh. It's not my favorite. The server must have been new. However, they were kind. Small tables. Fast delivery of food.
Had an excellent dinner here tonight outside. And dog friendly!
The portions at the new restaurant are very small for the amount you pay. Super disappointing.
Not worth it and out of place
We arrived at this restaurant after viewing the website with its beautiful photos of a delicious array of foods, and were handed a menu with 6 types of pizza. This might have been ok except a member of our group has Celiac and they did not have gluten free crust. We had to leave because GF options were insufficient for our needs. If you have a rotating menu, or if (as we found 2 days later) you only post updated menu info on Facebook, you need to reflect this info on your website.
I was really excited to try this place. I made a reservation for Sunday brunch, when my friend and I showed up at 11:30 the place was closed. Wish we would have known they weren’t going to be open before we drove an hour to get there.
