This is a literal hidden gem. Food, ambiance, drinks and staff were WONDERFUL. We got so much food and everything was so fresh and tasty. Our server was Teresa and she went above and beyond to provide AMAZING service to us. If we ever go back to San Antonio, we will definitely be going back 😍❤️

Everything about Boudros on the riverwalk is outstanding. We came in for an early dinner and sat outside and people watched while we ate. The service is fantastic, servers are friendly and professional and are quick to give suggestions on the food. We had the fried oysters for an appetizer and hubby had shrimp and grits while I had the mesquite grilled Texas quail. Of course we shared and couldn’t decide which plate was better. We will definitely be back here on our next trip.

Wow, this place was amazing! One of the highlights of my San Antonio trip. The location is beautiful, right on the Riverwalk. They had ponchos on the seats for you to wear if you got cold. Our waiter, Drew, was very informative and pleasant and definitely added to the overall experience. The surf and turf was cooked perfectly and I was in love with the frites with fried jalapeños. Definitely would recommend this spot.

The atmosphere going into this restaurant was something else. They had a wait on reservations so we accepted the bar. Which felt more like a private area for couples! It was quiet and well lit enough to see everything around you without it being obnoxious! The staff were attentive and friendly! The food was worth every penny! The quail was perfect! Everything was just right.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner on the barge during the Christmas season! We ended up having a private boat tour with Pete as our tour guide and Brad was our server. We enjoyed two hours of riding the river and a three course meal. The price was great for the food and entertainment that we received. The river is stunning when it’s decorated for the Christmas season. It was a perfect night in December to enjoy Boudreau‘s on the Riverwalk and the Christmas lights in San Antonio.

We came here for lunch as we were walking along the Riverwalk. We had a beautiful view of the river as we dined, it was very nice. Our waiter was great, attentive, very kind. We had a Ranch Water, Iced Tea, and Chicken, Avacado, BLT in a Wrap. Delicious bite size pieces of chicken and avacadio. Along with chopped up tomatoes and bacon. With shoe string fries (I substituted these for sweet potatoe fries). It was very delicious. I would definitely come back for it.

Boudro’s is a place that exceeds expectations for anyone wanting to experience the atmosphere of the San Antonio Riverwalk to the fullest. With a table overlooking the water, the moment I sat down felt instantly relaxing, and the warm, easygoing ambiance of the restaurant set a pleasant tone from the start. The guacamole tasted remarkably fresh, and the Shrimp & Grits had such depth of flavor that it stood out as the best version of the dish I’ve had so far. The staff were attentive and effortless in their service, creating a consistently comfortable dining experience. It’s an excellent spot to enjoy a leisurely lunch while taking in the lively charm of the Riverwalk. It’s the kind of restaurant I would gladly visit again during a trip.

Eating dinner at Boudro's was a pleasure, and one that I would love to try again. We made our reservation online and were quickly seated upon arrival. Our server was delightful and extremely helpful when offering recommendations. We decided to try the tableside guacamole, which was phenomenal. We also ordered the shrimp and grits and the wood-grilled Atlantic salmon. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend my birthday. The ambiance, food, and service made this a great experience, and one that we can't wait to have again.

My wife and I were here on a weekday late afternoon for an early dinner, before the evening crowd. This is a fine dining restaurant. The menu has some sweet surprises like blackened prime rib and seared Alaskan salmon. I tried the Blackened Prime rib and my beautiful wife had the Alaskan Salmon. We shared our dishes. The entrees came with roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was upscale and our waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I am recommending this experience to anyone who is out for a date night, a professional lunch or dinner or anyone who loves good food. Budro's is a bit pricey and it is worth every penny. We will be back.

We were in town for the Paul McCartney concert. Boudro’s turned out to be the perfect restaurant for our meal before the concert. Our waiter was very good. My wife and I split the Wood Grilled Fish Fillet and my son had the Pollo Asado. The beer was super cold which was great on warm evening next to the river. We also had the bread pudding for dessert. We will definitely be back. Next time we want to try to guacamole.

If I could give this place 1000000 stars, I would. I'm going to cut to the chase - BEST STEAK I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I ate at this restaurant since it was recommended by the hotel I was staying at. This place did NOT disappoint one bit. For starters, I got the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and Guacamole for 2 (prepared fresh table side). The shrimps were delicious, especially in the sauce that isn't marinara. The guac was perfect, lots of chips came with it. While the server was freshly preparing the guac, he was explaining their menu. My main dish was the 10 oz Texas Filet. Instead of fries, I got veggies. Oh my goodness...I can't stop thinking about it. The steak was PERFECTLY cooked (rare, per my request) AND FLAVORED. THE FLAVOR OF THE ENTIRE DISH IS OUT OF THIS WORLD! The chimichurri sauce is perfection in every way. Warning, you will have garlic breath after devouring this meal, but it is well worth it. The fried jalapenos that came with the dish were sooo good that I had to ask for more. I've been talking about this dish for days now. The Chicken Fried Ribeye is also spectacular! For dessert, do NOT skip getting the bread pudding. The keylime pie is good, as well. All in all, I WILL 10000000% BE RETURNING! I'll probably reorder everything I did on this first visit + many other dishes. Our server was helpful and kind. The location is prime, right on the river walk! Really really, all around, such a great experience.

Tried their fillet of beef tenderloin & lobster tail and it was absolutely devine, perfection on all levels! Everything on the plate was fresh, cooked well, seasoned well, and went well together. Their prickly pear margarita was also absolutely delicious. The location and ambiance was so beautiful and romantic, I just sat there enjoying every moment , thinking "this is the life". Friendly staff and service. Free guest wifi available on request, which was handy for the overseas traveller especially when call service was shoddy in the area. The setting right along the river is beautiful, and we were seated right away and thankful to get a table in the shade so close to the river. Our server, Joe, went above and beyond. He was personable, funny, and shared lots of great local insights, which really made the meal feel special. We started with the guacamole for two, prepared tableside (they bring enough chips for a whole crowd, which made us laugh). I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were perfectly seasoned and full of flavor without being too spicy. My husband had the wood-grilled ribeye sandwich and loved it. Overall, the food and service were outstanding, and we’d absolutely recommend Boudro’s as part of a San Antonio visit!

We visited this spot in San Antonio on a weekday, and it wasn’t too busy—perfect for just chilling and enjoying the vibe by the river. The menu leans toward seafood and meat dishes with a nice selection of wines. We started with the guacamole, which our server Jarvis made fresh right at the table. It was delicious, super fresh, and I especially loved the chunky texture. My husband ordered the chicken dish—at first it looked a bit dry, but it was actually tender, juicy, and flavorful(but I’m not a bean person ) Overall, I chose this place because it wasn’t crowded, and the riverside atmosphere made it even better. We had a really good time here. Thank you, Jarvis, for taking such great care of us!

This place is very popular on the riverwalk. A table outdoors has great atmosphere. However, our party of 14 was seated indoors and it was fine since it was a bit cool outside but make sure to request outdoor if that’s what you’re here for. We had great warm tortilla chips and table-side guac which we really enjoyed. The prickly pear margarita was tasty. I ordered the scallops and they had too much seasoning for my taste and not seared crispy. The dressing on the pozole was strong too. The quail had a lot of heavy sauce. The bread pudding was good but also quite heavy and didn’t sit well in my stomach. Overall, service was great and nice restaurant, but some of the flavors were too heavy for me.

We requested a table by the River Walk and were given one, which we appreciated. However, it turned out to be the very last table at the edge of the restaurant, and unfortunately the service experience did not match the otherwise great location and food. After being seated, we sat for about 15 minutes with only menus that were handed to us by the hostess. No server initially came to our table. A server from a nearby table noticed us waiting and kindly checked in, taking our drink and appetizer orders. Shortly after, he informed us that he was not the designated server for our table and that our assigned server would bring the appetizers. We then waited another 15 minutes before the designated server arrived with our appetizers—this was the first interaction we had with him. Toward the end of the meal, we experienced another long wait of about 20 minutes just to receive the check. That said, the food was excellent and truly the highlight of the experience. We ordered the tableside guacamole, coconut shrimp, and the herb-crusted fish fillet—all were delicious and well prepared. Dessert, the crème brûlée, was also very good and ended the meal on a positive note. Overall, the food and River Walk setting are great, but the service—especially communication and attentiveness—needs improvement to match the quality of the cuisine.

This was not hard for me to even get started to review this restaurant. My husband put in all the hardwork in skimming down to a perfect restaurant to surprise me with a perfect evening. First down the river (Venice of USA) up and down the bridge into that vintage enveloped ambience with tables and chairs tucked away perfectly and those vintage mirrors looking at you while you were enjoying a delicious romantic 4 course dinner with your for better or for worse, what an out of this world moment it was. I highly recommend couples to go to this place once on your visit to River Walk.

After receiving high recommendations I booked an after Airmen grad celebration for my son. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The food didn’t blow me away. Not even close. My steak was tough and chewy. The table side guacamole was ok. Our service ok ish. All in all I just was disappointed. I expected more.

I will comeback to try it again sometime. The burgers were great but the fries were really soggy. They are made in house, but it would be nice to have cooked though fries. I did mention this to my server. She shrugged it off as that is how they are. Enchiladas verdes were ok. Service was slow. Tables are crammed together and you don’t have much room to even move your chair without hitting the person at the next table. We couldn’t get to our table very easily. I’d say that’s the biggest downfall. And service was slow. Food took a long time to come out…probably 30 ish minutes or more. Lunch prices were decent for the river walk. We walked from our hotel so I don’t know if there is parking nearby.
