My husband and I took our kids to Brindle's Ice cream parlor at Huebner Oaks. They let my kids chose their own ice cream it was so cute. We didn't even finish the ice cream but my husband finished it for us.

My husband and I visit San Antonio often and are slowly building a list of our top places to eat. We hadn't found an ice cream shop we really loved until tonight. The funny thing is that we had originally wanted to try a different shop but a glitch with Google maps ended up taking us in the opposite direction. Rather than drive all the way back we decided to give another shop a try and we're so glad we did. Brindle's Awesome Ice Creams is... Well.... Awesome! The owner was working the register and invited us to try all the various flavors.... To be honest every flavor we tried was delicious! We finally decided to get 2 scoops in a waffle cone bowl. My husband got cookies and cream and I got the banana pudding. The waffle bowl was delicious and crispy. The cookies and cream is probably hands down the best cookies and cream I have ever had. Brindle's blends the Oreos into the vanilla ice cream so that every bite is creamy and full of cookie flavor. They then add chunks of oreo cookie to put it over the top. Now, anyone will tell you banana pudding is not something I would normally get. But this ice cream tastes EXACTLY like real banana pudding and has chunks of Nilla wafers too! I had to get it and enjoyed every bite. We learned that the owner just recently took over the business. In fact, he told us Brindle's was a date night favorite when he and his wife first started dating! So cool that he now owns it. He's obviously passionate about ice cream and puts a lot of love into his flavors. We are big fans and will definitely keep coming back!

Serves up great ice cream with friendly service. Sometimes people take forever tasting what seems like every flavor in the rainbow which causes a long wait, but other than that it's definitely one of our go to spots for that ice cream fix!

This has been my favorite icecream spot for many years. The quality is amazing and so is the price for the amount they give. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful and I love that they are open to pretty late hours. I really miss the green tea flavor, though, I haven't seen it rotated through in a couple years...

We were looking for good ice cream in San Antonio and we found it here! They have tons of flavors to choose from so no one will be disappointed. They also offer dipped waffle cones and bowls which tasted great and added to the experience. Service was friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!

Why is it that all the little shops are always the best shops???!!! Absolutely awesome. Ice cream is rich with flavor. A selection that will make any ADHDs head spin…in a good way. Not an easy find but if you drop the addy in your GPS you won’t be disappointed.

Only complaint it the decor. It could be better. Felt like I was in a kindergarten classroom that was emptied out. The staff was amazing and helpful, and the ice cream was delicous.

The ice-cream here is delicious. We tried different ones before deciding which one to get. We got a cone with Burgundy Cherry, and a cone with Maple Walnut and Cookie Butter. I like that the flavors were very tasty and sweet enough. I'll definitely will be coming back.

First time here. I was looking for good ice cream to cool off in this Texas Heat. I got a small, which is 2 scoop. I tried Vanilla with almonds and strawberry. It was so good and refreshing. I could take the fresh strawberries and vanilla beans. I tried their goat cheese and it was good. That will be in my next trip. Overall this is a great spot of you are a simple person like me, vanilla & almonds or if you like to mix, match and have exotic flavors!

Best ice cream shop in the city. All of their ice cream is not only hand made, but made by the shop. Everything is absolutely delicious and the prices are great! The staff is super friendly and the shop is always clean. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

The customer service was exceptional as were the ice cream favors. My husband & I had fudge dipped bowls w/3 scoops & toppings. We had red velvet, cherry burgundy( this was my fave), choc, cookies & cream (which he sd was the BEST he’s ever had). The helpings were great for the price. They stayed busy & for good reason.

Family was out exploring and had the munchies at 10pm. We settled for ice cream but didn't have a whole lot of choices given the time. We found Brindles and was intrigued by their selection of flavors. We each ordered our choices and everything was flavorful! I had the taro on a waffle cone and it was amazingly delicious! GREAT little ice cream shop! I had a scoop of the Azteca flavor--Mexican hot chocolate inspired with the perfect amount of cinnamon--and a scoop of their classic vanilla, which was delicious--not overly sweet, just perfect vanilla flavor. The service was prompt and friendly, and everything was clean. No sticky, messy tables! If you're in the area, this should be your go-to ice cream parlor!

If you are in San Antonio go see them! They make their own flavors and had a great selection! The manager and his staff were great and let us sample as many flavors as we wanted. They do full scoops so if you get the one scoop cup it’s like getting two anywhere else! I can’t say enough good check them out!

Awesome place! We went there years ago and had a Muddy Feet (warm cookie dough, ice cream, fudge, and almonds). We went recently and were bummed to find they discontinued it, but the employees went above and beyond to recreate it based on an old San Antonio Express article describing it on the counter. The shop is simple and easy to navigate in a pleasing way. If you're fortunate, Walter will be behind the counter to assist you. He's friendly and very willing to cheerfully assist with whatever you need. This location smells wonderful and is so conveniently located to Half-Price books that it's quite easy to get a good book and then pop in and enjoy a coffee and delicious treat while reading and escaping the heat of a Texas day.

Brindles lives up to its name and has awesome ice cream. My wife and I each got a two scoop cone. Mine was brindle with dark cookie dough in a oreo cone. My wife got the mint chocolate chip and cookie dough. The ice cream was bomb but the cones extremely fragile which made a huge mess. The store could benefit from some inside signage. There is no menu anywhere, nothing explaining one side offers gelato and other ice cream. I also saw a cold stone, which i still have no idea whether I could of ordered mix-ins.

I have been coming here for years. It’s hit and miss but never a total fail! Let me explain. My go-to is always a strawberry milk shake. There’s times we the strawberry flavor is more intense and others when it’s barely there. Sadly, today the strawberry flavor in my strawberry shake was weak. The ice cream is always top notch. The staff is usually kind and helpful. It’s a clean establishment with clean bathrooms. They offer a variety of beverage options. It’s a great place to go on a first date. They have some tables outside. It’s next to a bar (Flying Saucer), so it can be a smidge loud at times.

Ice cream is good, service was okay…however prices on menu do not match what you are charged for so just be aware. On their menu it shows $2 for a dipped cone and $1 for a bottle of water. I was charged $2.50 for the cone and $2 for the water. I mentioned it to the cashier and all she said was “oh I’m sorry.”

The ice cream was delicious—I tried the strawberry and banana pudding flavors and really enjoyed both. Unfortunately, the customer service was lacking. I visited around 10:30 PM on 5/30/25 and the brunette employee on duty didn’t greet me and seemed visibly annoyed throughout the interaction. It took away from the overall experience.

We recently visited a nearby ice cream store and, unfortunately, we were disappointed with the quality of the ice cream. Some of the flavors had an icy texture, which was not ideal. The store is situated in a large center with ample parking and plenty of tables inside. The space itself was satisfactory, but the dipping cabinets lacked lighting, making it difficult to see the ice creams properly. We tried the German chocolate, strawberry (child scoop), Hokey Pokey, and moose tracks flavors. The cups and spoons were nice, but the employee seemed confused and appeared to be new.

I had really been looking forward to visiting Brindle's Ice Cream. It was one of the spots on my list of ice cream places to try, and I was excited to finally make it here. The shop itself is small, kind of cute and inviting—nothing over the top. It looks moderately clean. Unfortunately, my first impression was disappointing. The woman behind the counter, a Hispanic lady with long black hair, didn’t seem very customer service oriented. She wasn’t warm or friendly at all. When I asked if I could get the crème brûlée flavor—which looked like it was almost gone, probably because it’s popular—she didn’t say a word. She just turned her back and went to the back of the shop. I had no idea what was going on. There was no communication, and her attitude felt cold and dismissive. When she returned, she started scraping what was left of the ice cream from the container. It was just enough to fill a small cup. I tried to stay polite and understanding, but she didn’t make any effort to be kind. She asked me very quickly if I wanted any toppings. I said, “No, thank you,” and she immediately rushed to ring me up. The small cup of ice cream came out to $6.22, which surprised me. It felt steep for the amount I received. After I paid, she didn’t say anything—just turned around and walked away, leaving the ice cream on the counter. It came off as rude and dismissive. Honestly, this kind of attitude can really bring a place down. As for the ice cream itself—it tasted good. Not amazing, but good. Still, it’s disappointing when your first experience at a place leaves a bad taste—not because of the product, but because of the service. And for me, sadly, this will also be the last time I visit.

Came in with my family and my daughter asked for a shake. And we were all sitting waiting for her shake after receiving our ice creams. The girl came back to tell me they had no milk when I clearly saw it on the counter. Both girls seemed very unhappy to be working.

This guy closed the store the moment that I parked my vehicle in front door, 7 minutes before the time. He did a disgusting rude thing. It’s an ice cream shop so it’s not taking 5 minutes to serve any customer

I visited your establishment around 8 PM on May 26, 2025, and was quite disappointed with the service. Upon entering, I was met with a noticeable lack of acknowledgment from the two employees at the register. Despite being the only customer in line, I was left waiting without so much as a 'hello' or 'we'll be right with you.' When they finally attended to me, they simply stood in silence, offering no greeting or assistance. After receiving my shake and expressing my gratitude, my 'thank you' was met with complete silence. This experience left me feeling quite undervalued as a customer. good ice cream tho

We arrived at 10:10 pm and the door was already locked even though the closing time says 11 pm. The employee inside looked at us in a very rude and disrespectful way and completely ignored us. If you close early, at least come to the door and let customers know instead of staring and leaving people outside. Very unprofessional service.
