The food is always delicious, especially the Wednesday Special-picadillo filled chile relleno with borracho beans, spanish rice, and flour tortillas! The weekday early bird special of 2 tacos with a soft drink is delicious and the price is the best in town! I Highly recommend this establishment, and the servers sre friendly, polite, and attentive!
Came in on a busy lunch period but got seated within 5 minutes. Service was friendly, helpful, and very pleasant throughout the meal. Food came and it was really hot, smelled great and tasted even better than expected & it also looked excellent. The salsa was good but we asked for a hotter one & our waitress brought a habanero salsa that had the perfect amount of heat & flavor. The items we ordered to include the chips & salsa were all very, very tasty. Definitely recommend.
I hate to say this but my review is based solely off of the gigantic nachos. My husband and I have been to Mia's twice now and both times we've order the Nachos Montana, the full order and we share it. It is amazing and delicious, a definite nacho delight. My only complaint would be the booths, the seats are super low so your face is practically in your plate but it's so yummy you don't care.
We had a wonderful dinner at Mia's last night. The chicken enchiladas were so yummy. I love the cilantro cream sauce on it. Barracho bean and rice were perfect and homemade. My husband stash fajitas was so tender. No knife is needed. Our waitress was attentive and kind. Thank you for a great meal.
The puffy tacos were so delicious. I would like to get them Togo (which I can) but they get real soggy and fall apart at all the other places I have tried. Services was wonderful.
I got the tacos Al Pastor plate! The Al Pastor was deliciously seasoned and was well banced with the pineapple, onions, and cilantro. The rice and beans were also very flavorful! I had the mangonada margarita, and I cannot recommend it enough! It was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy!
I was able to pick a dish that I didn't have to make changes to have a Keto breakfast...The Mia's omelet with fresh spinach, squash, mushrooms, topped with slices of avocado, red salsa and shredded white cheese... so tasty and filling. Ya gotta try it. 😋 YUM. Our waiter Jorge is so attentive and friendly and made the dinning experience enjoyable.
We love Mia's Mexican Grill! They are always friendly, quick and the food is delicious😋
Had no idea this was tucked back in an area we frequently shop in. Prompt service, food came out fast. Complimentary cups and salsa were so good. Chicken quesadilla was amazing! Waitress even offered a to go refill on my drink - such a nice thing in Texas heat.
Great food. Very tasty! Our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Had a nice atmosphere; they were all decorated for Fiesta. Service was great; we were seated in minutes even though they were packed. We’ll be back.
First time at Mia's, enjoyed authentic Tex-Mex food. I will definitely be coming back.
The waiter was terrible; the last two times I went, the waitresses were awesome. Very fast, polite, and friendly.
First time!! fast service waitress did a awesome job.. food was delicious 😋 will definitely come back.
Decided on Mia's ToGo Drive-Thru as Pete's DT was not answering the phone, and it was close by with good Google reviews. So glad we stopped here! Breakfast Taco special $6.00 for 2 with a drink, or 3 for $7.25. However, we chose Jake's Taco Loco instead. Bean, cheese, chorizo, and egg. Great soft flour tortilla, and it was not greesy. Husband said "that was almost perfection". Enough said! I will return again when back in the area.
Mia's is a great Mexican restaurant. We go there almost every Friday night. Servers are courteous and attentive, and the food is fabulous. Highly recommend.
My husband and I stopped in this afternoon on our way to do some shopping and were absolutely bowled over by the sensational food and outstanding service. The cilantro cream chicken enchiladas were savory and delicious, the rice was flavorful and the mixed veggies were just exquisite. This is going to be regular fare for us and I'm so happy we decided to give it a whirl.
Solid Mexican joint. All of the favorites with pricing very much in line with the other spots. This place is very much not alpha-gal friendly with strong pork flavoring used in the refried beans and a piece of beef showing up on a chicken meal (for the small subset searching for that). No complaints, margaritas were good and with kids and margaritas and tip we stayed under $100
Mia’s was recommended to us by my sister in law, we are so glad we tried it! It is yummy! The chips and salsa were plentiful and the tea was good. Mango Chamoy Margarita was tasty. We got the cheese enchilada plate and fajitas tacos. The plate was delicious! The enchiladas, beans and rice are good! The beef fajitas were the absolute best! So amazing, ranks at the very top of the best I’ve ever had! They were tender and cooked to perfection! We loved the food and will definitely be back soon!
Had lunch here with a friend on Friday. We split the half order of Montana Nachos. The food was great. Our server Itzel was fantastic!
First time visiting was a 10/10! Ildeana R. was so sweet, great vibes, attentive, & quick. We had the grilled chicken, shrimp & fish tacos with a beer & margarita. All great! Will be back
This was the first visit and we were thrilled with the experience. The food was excellent and the Anthony the server was exceptional. We'll be back.
In the great San Antonio breakfast taco debate, Mia's Mexican Grill is my undisputed champion! 🏆🌮 The tortillas are always perfectly fluffy, and the ingredients are cooked to order. My go-to is the bacon, egg, and cheese with extra crispy bacon, but don't sleep on their sausage patty option either! What sets Mia's apart is their consistency and speed. The staff is incredibly efficient, making even a long drive-through line worth the wait. It's the only place where I don't mind queuing up! While I usually hit the drive-through, the indoor seating is ample. The service always comes with a smile, and the food arrives at your table in no time. Whether you're a local or just passing through, if you're anywhere near Bandera and 1604 and feeling hungry, you can't go wrong with Mia's. 😋
Last night was extremely busy but the manager Jerry was so good and continued to greet the tables. The wait staff was moving as fast as possible and that truly shows good management and team work! On top of that, the food was great.
My first time here. I loved it. The tortillas are home made and fresh. The staff is very attentive and happy to help. I will most definitely return.
We decided to try this place out. The place, Mia's Mexican Grill, is located on the east bound access road of 1604, just before Bandera Rd. Arrived around 9:30 am on a Tuesday. We were quickly seated and greeted. Our server Marrisol took real good care of us. After studying the breakfast menu, we decided on the Franks 's Country A La Mexicana and the Chiliquiles Verdes Con Pollo Desebrado. Note, pictures taken after we added black pepper. We asked for the medium hot sauce (green). They have a hotter one and a milder one (red), too. Our plates arrived very hot, the food looked delicious (see pictures) and also tasted great. The accompanying beans and potatoes hit the spot. We had homemade flour tortillas with our meal. My visiting brother-in-law said they were gooood. I will note they did have a bar, and it looked like they were getting the Margarita machine ready. I'll definitely be back and hope that if you visit, your experience is as good as mine.
Food is yummy and the drinks are the bomb. Have tried the. Nachos and puffy tacos. Both were grea, but I really loved their nachos. Sorry I didn't take a picture of them. The drink glasses are chilled and if you like your beer or margarita dressed with Chamoy and tajin, they do it the the best. Bartender was super friendly as were the waitress and hostess. I only wish the place was bigger, but it is now one of my favorites.
I ordered the tortilla soup and it was filled with chicken and small vegetables . The broth was delicious . Excellent !! The wait staf was prompt and and everyone was friendly .. a inviting atmosphere .
My daughter and I popped in after moving some stuff. We were hangry. We both had house margaritas with tajin rims. SO DELICIOUS! We shared the puffy taco plate. DELICIOUS and so filling! We also had salsa, queso, and questions. There is sufficient parking. We were seated quickly. The staff is friendly and efficient. The ladies bathroom is so nice! It's clean, spacious, and attractively designed. I look forward to going back!
We visited with some friends, in my case first time I visit, the staff was friendly to start with, we ordered breakfast, everything was fleshly made I had Quezo flameado (melted cheese with chorizo) it was delicious, also huevos a la Mexicana (egg, onion, tomato and jalapeños) both accompanied with potatoes, beans and flour tortilla. My partner had menudo with corn tortilla, our friends scramble eggs and the other an omelet (comes with three eggs but made to order with two). The place gets busy but staff moves fast, overall great place.
Gets very busy on Friday nights. Smell of beef fajitas lingering in the air drew me in to get em. Staff is courteous. Wait time wasnt bad. Perfect place for a first date or your go to for good Mexican food
We eat here quite frequently. The food is fantastic. The quality and quantity of food is excellent. We always ask for the same server, Etzel, not because we don’t like the others, but have always been treated super nice with her. On a scale of 1 - 10, we rate the food and server 15.
The only perfect Mexican restaurant. Our favorite place since we've found it. Let them show you what REAL borracho beans are. Become an addict like me. Trust them to do a great job with any menu item. OUTSTANDING SERVICE EVERY TIME! Edit: Those quesadillas have set a new standard for me. I didn't know they could get any better, but they can here!
Mia’s was awesome! We had them cater for my teams holiday Christmas lunch and everything was great. Everyone enjoyed the food and had rave reviews. Getting it catered was easy and picking our menu. The team came out when they said they would to set up a great buffet and came to tear down when promised. Food is always great when we dine but the catering was a 10! Great job Frank and Jen and your awesome team.
I ordered two carne guisada tacos. 🌮 Diner beware! These tacos are on the larger side. Like any native San Antonian, I was not taken back from the challenge. 😄 The service and the food are great. I will be back to dive into the rest of the menu.
I usually dont post reviews but this places actually deserved one. We were greeted when we walked in, sat promptly and served. The food was amazing! Fresh and not sloppy. Our waitress Itzel was the best! She actually loves her job! I will be sending more people your way! Thank you for making our lunch date memorable!
10/10 Recommend!!! The food is always delicious!! The food always tastes fresh!! They do breakfast all day!! Proportion sizes are perfect!! They have great chips and salsa and queso!! The restaurant is always clean you can smell the Fabulosa from outside sometimes lol And the restaurant is always packed when I go!! Mia’s has quickly become one of my go to spots on a weekly basis!!
I highly recommend Mia’s for your catering needs! We ordered the taco buffet option, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about their meals. From start to finish, the communication was excellent. The food was delivered and set up right on time, which took a huge load off our shoulders. I especially appreciated that they provided plates, plasticware, and even decorated the tables—one less thing for us to worry about. Mia’s went above and beyond. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

Food and service were amazing! True authentic food good queso and good margaritas. Very reasonably priced
Food was great! In a sea of Mexican restaurants, this one stands out! Food was outstanding and prices were about right for value.

Everything has been incredible EVERY TIME WE GO! We love love love their family breakfast of barbacoa with beans and tortillas. The meat is lean and not greasy.
When we lived in San Antonio, I don’t recall this restaurant. Staff was very attentive and prompt. Food was tasty and plentiful. Decor was appropriate for the local.

The food wasn't very flavorful but the wait staff was great!!
In my search of the best cheese enchiladas with chili con carne this restaurant was suggested many times, so I had to go back to check it out again. I had left a bad review many years ago because of their policy regarding military discounts, but I'm over it now. Bonus that this place happens to be close to where I now live. I had the cheese enchiladas with chili con carne, opted for the charro beans, fresh made corn tortillas, and a house margarita. Everything was delicious and the service was great! The sauce was a little more spicy than I like, but they were still good. They have daily specials and on Monday and Wednesday they have cheese enchiladas for $5! I will definitely be back for that.
Mia’s is your old school meets Torchy’s vibes. They have your traditional dishes, but the ambient is Torchyisque. We ordered the chicken flautas and shrimp enchilada with the cilantro cream sauce. The flautas were 3.5 out of 5. Not bad, but nothing special, but I will not that chicken flautas are not my go to. The shrimp enchilada were really good. They had a good portion of shrimp and the sauce was full of cilantro flavor and creaminess. I ordered a limonada and it was good! Refreshing but not too tart. Chips and salsa were 3.5/5. Wait staff was attentive and speedy.
The enchiladas were pretty good not the best, but good nonetheless. I went on Tuesday for the $5 enchilada plate, it’s all day not just a lunch special. The tortillas were fresh and fluffy. The dining area is a little too loud for me. I would come back and try since if the other specials.
Que rico👌🏼🌮🍳 We got a Chorizo Potato and Refried Bean Taco. It was delicious and flavorful. The Chorizo is tasty and not overcooked like other places. We got the Potato Egg and Cheese Taco. It was pretty good but I recommend adding salsa. We got the Bean and Cheese Taco. It was cheesy and decent. We also got the Mia's Omelette. It was good but I wouldn't get it again. It needed salt and pepper. There are other menu items that are way better. We will be returning. I do recommend this restaurant.
I have left a previous review but I needed to leave another review because of a beautiful experience we had at this restaurant. Our waitress Sophie G was amazing. We just experienced a loss in our family and it was my wife's first time out of the house since this happened. Sophie noticed my wife was struggling with the loss and was so compassionate and understanding. She spoke to my wife and gave her some kind and comforting words. She went above and beyond her job as a waitress and made my wife feel much better. Sophie deserves recognition for not only being a great waitress but for going above and beyond for making us feel so much better. Thank you Sophie and thank you to Mia's for hiring such an amazing person.
It's a bit out of my way but the food is great, the service is so so as some of the workers see you waiting to place your order, and just ignore you. However when I've had great servers take my order it's not bad so hit or miss kind of thing unfortunately but the food is good, so I guess they don't care as they're getting people's business still. Just my honest opinions about Mia's. May all reading be safe and God bless
The food and service at Mia’s Mexican Grill are consistently great, and I usually give them 5 stars. However, I had a small issue during my last visit. I let a staff member know I wasn’t done with my table and stepped away briefly, but when I returned, my drink had been thrown away. It seemed like there was some miscommunication among the staff. That said, they did replace the drink without any hassle, which I appreciated. Still a great spot overall, just hoping for a bit better communication next time!
Finally got around to trying out Mia's. I will definitely be back. Nachos are really crispy and stacked this alone almost filled me up. Meat for the enchiladas was cut correctly! Most restaurants I've been too recently don't understand cutting against the grain, it really makes a big difference. Rice and beans were great but the fresh tortillas won me over instantly. Sopapillas were very light and big but personally could be a little thicker. Serve forgot things like straws, napkins, salsa after being asked multiple times. But it was also very busy when I went.

The food was good, but a bit salty. Atmosphere is OK, but too noisy. Service was poor.
Tried out Mia's today for dinner. Food was good. Mexican rice was one of the best I have had at any restaurant. Charro beans were lacking, not flavorful at all. Street tacos were good. We ordered 1lb of barbacoa to go. We received 11.7oz. I weighed it at home because it felt light when I took it out of the bag. So, beware when ordering from this restaurant. Very disappointing that they would short a customer. That weight is including the packaging.
I go often, love the food and I have never had poor service until today. It wasn't busy so confused me as to why our server was not very helpful towards the end of our dinner. Didn't get her name. She was wearing a red sweater. She came to our table and left the device for us to pay.felt like she dropped it on the table and walked off. We had issues with the device. And waited for her to return. But she was with the group of co-workers. I was tempted to ask the guy serving two tables away. Her took time to take care of his customers. Even when my daughter and I went to look for assistance she approached us and rushed us. And I requested my receiptand didn't receive it or any type of email receipt to show my dinner services or rewards had been applied. To her it wasn't a big deal. For me as someone who works in customer service , a little more time with your customers at time of pay would be great.
It's good food, but everything we go something is always wrong with the orders. If you want to make a change to the order they say the ticket was already sent and we can't change it. Which I found strange.
I was a little hesitant when I saw the drive through, thinking that I was about to eat f some fast food. But, inside is full service. Ordered the carne guisada with a small orden of fajitas nachos. Nachos were pretty solid. I like that the are individual chips with toppings as opposed to a pile of chips slathered in queso and other toppings. Carne guisada was good. I prefer a more brown sauce than red, but really no complaints. Nice option for something open past 9:00.
First time visitor. Food was delicious and fairly priced. Service was good getting seated but the server went missing after taking our order. We saw her after and placed a to go order. She brought the to go order and disappeared again as our food got cold waiting for the bill. We had to flag down 2 others to get her attention. We will definitely return but make sure to have a different server.

The food was just ok. For some reason, the cheese inside the enchiladas was not completely melted, but the plate was extremely hot. The shell for the taco was borderline stale. The server was busy talking to people standing around to even notice our drinks were empty (for quite some time). There wasn't much positive about this visit, and I will never go back.
First time here today. Service needs work; our server messed up our order which was supposed to be two identical plates. They came out different and he seemed to not know what to do so it took a long time to get the right food. The food also seemed like a lot of ingredients were not made in house. Tortillas were hard. Chips were cold. Salsa wasn’t spicy. Chili con carne tasted like canned wolf brand chili. The iced tea tasted like it had been left to steep too long, so it was muddy.
Ordered the large “happy hour” margarita, but was given a bigger one at full price 🙁 Didn’t realize the error till they brought the bill. Queso was not melted all the way through yet. Enchiladas average. Really wanted to like it…
Very disappointed in Mia's today. This place is my go-to when my little one wants a quesadilla and I need breakfast with a drive-thru! But today my Frank's Country a la Mexicana taco was different. I knew it was smaller and had less filling, which was ok since they were so full before. I noticed the first taco was light on sausage and egg. After 2 bites from my second taco, I decided to open it up. After opening it, I realized the rest of it didn't have any more sausage. Very disappointed considering these tacos are $3.95 each! I will give them another chance because I've never experienced this with them before- I'm hoping maybe it's a new cook. But I will make sure to check my taco before I leave the drive thru.
This past Sunday, we had a family gathering, and out of the eight plates we had, one had a very long hair in it. Most restaurants would promptly take the plate and return a new one within minutes or less. However, this particular restaurant took an unusually long 10 minutes to return a new plate. Consequently, the rest of the plates also had to wait until the new ones were returned. It would be greatly appreciated if the staff could prioritize the completion of the plates and only charge the customer for the new ones. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Perhaps the manager should have been informed about this issue, and it could have been handled differently. I sincerely hope that this situation is resolved in the future.
I ordered the cheese quesadilla, which wasn’t from the kids menu btw, and this is what you get for $12. Look at how thin it is. It’s literally like a single slice of cheese. What a rip off!! I could understand the price if it came with sides, but it’s just a single cheese quesadilla and it wasn’t made with love :(
I wasn't a big fan of the flavor of my enchilada plate. The wife thought the fajita plate was good but didn't care for the enchilada either. Neither of us cared for the chips and salsa because the chips tasted burnt. The blue NOTICE sign in the first picture turned me off initially. It's an invitation for the criminal to rob the establishment because NO one can prevent it. Concealed carries aren't the problem, it's the criminal carries which carry whether you say to or NOT.
Chilaquiles and Carne Guisada taco Terrible food. Worst chilaquiles I have had yet, in San Antonio. The chilaquiles were basically commercial grade tostada chips with cheap melty cheese, like the kind you see on cheap nachos, and two eggs on top. The eggs tasted like burnt oil. Couldn't even eat the eggs. The sauce on the Carne guisada taco tasted straight up like canned Wolf Chilli sauce. Maybe some other entrees are good, but after tasting these food items, I would not bother coming back to try anything else. Would advise to go somewhere else.
I went thru the drive thru, ordered the flauta plate, got home and the plate had everything but the Flautas. Cesar the manager did issue a refund but refused to deliver the missing food. I start work at 6 am and get out at 730 pm. I got home with my Mia’s food order at 815pm they wanted me to drive back over there to get it. This was absolutely ridiculous.
I do not recommend . We paid 70$ for this . Portions were small . Did not get our beans for our plates . We ordered margaritas the Lady did not check our ID at the window until AFTER we paid and got our food. Lady was closing the window until she realized she did not give us our drinks . Very disappointed.
Been there before and was excellent. This visit was awful from the minute you get to the drive thru - no customer service at all - instead of greeting the customer the employee yells " Mia's" nothing else. Got home and flautas was cold. Called the place and spoke to a manager Gerardo which I know why some of the employees don't have good customer service skills. Rude from the time he got the phone. I hope the owner or a other manager sees this post and do something about the lack of service the workers give .
Frequent customer, normally good food and service. Unfortunately our latest visit will be our last due to the horrible service and attitude from our server Mirna. I myself have worked in the service/hospitality biz and have a huge respect for hard work. This ladies attitude, in my opinion, is detrimental to your bottom line. The manager Jose whom we addressed concern this with was polite just like everyone else we have ever encountered at this restaurant. So disappointed with my former go to.
Ordered the cheese enchiladas with carne. It tasted burned. The restrooms are horrible. You can't sit on it because the toilet paper dispenser is literslly right on it with no room to sit normally. That needs to be corrected unless you like sitting on half the toilet seat
The reason I gave a low rating was because of the food. I have always gone to Mia's and the food is always good. We arrived during the lunch hour on Friday 12/26/25 and were seated immediately. I had been wanting to try the Fideo Loco. So I ordered it. I started to eat and not even halfway thru the meal my stomach was getting upset and felt full. I hadn't eaten breakfast, because I wanted to enjoy my meal. We left, I arrived at home, straight to the bathroom, I could not keep the fideo down. I felt nauseous and had chills for the rest of the evening. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Never expected this from Mia's.
On 19Nov2025 like 6 pm , we went to get food and The food has always been good for us till we came across a rude female on the drive thru. After, we didn’t give tip she gave us the food and we tried asking her something she close the window fast right on our face while we were talking to her . It was obvious she was mad VERY RUDE !!! We got home the food was cold what a shame .. doesn’t she get paid that’s her job why do we have to tip geeze..
I’ve never been kicked out of a restaurant with the manager coming to our table saying they are closed and we need to leave! My mother and I arrived at the restaurant around 8:25 pm and got seated. We ordered shortly after arriving, standard enchilada plate and at 9:00 pm, the waitress came to our table and asked us if we could go ahead and close out our check because they close at 9 pm but that we could still continue to enjoy our dinner and relax with no pressure. We were surprised they closed at 9 pm and told her there were no posted business hours on the door. Then she gave us the hours Monday - Friday and weekend hours. Either way, we said no problem and I gave her my credit card, I tipped her 20% and was just finishing up my meal and coffee. At 9:12 pm, the manager came to our table with a “foul” look on his face and like a “machismo” said they were closed and that we needed to leave (in Spanish). He then went to another table of 4 adults and a minor child and told them the same thing, just as rude. They came in later than we did. Neither of us had been dining for even 1 hour! It’s amazing that they had no problem taking our money and wanting us to pay before even finishing up our meal, but then wants to kick us out? I’ve frequently dined at fine dining restaurants and Michelin rated restaurants and never have I been kicked out nor asked to pay my ticket before finishing my meal. In fact, unlike Mia’s restaurant, those other restaurants never want us to feel rushed and always allow us to finish our meal and even ask us if we would like to order dessert. I realize that Mia’s is nowhere near the level of classy as a fine dining restaurant but I would still expect courtesy in the way they treat patrons. (I’m sure he doesn’t treat the military, police officers or firefighters that he gives a 15% discount like this.) When he saw us coming in, he could have told us that we only had 30 minutes to order, eat and pay, all within 30 minutes. We could have then left and taken our business elsewhere. Maybe he’s accustomed to treating customers like this, but this is not what we, nor anyone else deserves. Maybe he needs to post his restaurant hours so that when we walked up to the restaurant, we could see the business hours and evaluate for ourselves whether we could eat quickly and be out by 9 pm. or not. When we left the restaurant, the other guests that were kicked out too were outside and they too were disgusted with the manner in which they were treated and spoken to by this man, assuming he was the manager. Being hungry to make a profit is no way to run a business. He has alot to learn. But this is not my problem because I will NEVER dine at this place again. It’s only unfortunate that I was not able to video record him for the public to see for themselves.
Wow. After being a loyal customer for over 10 years, I cannot believe the new policy that people over seven years old can’t order from the kids’ menu. Seriously? My 18-year-old son, who is autistic (not that it’s anyone’s business), had a full meltdown in the car because he couldn’t get his usual order — something he’s been happily eating here for YEARS. This wasn’t our poor waitress’s fault — she was just doing her job — but management and the owners should honestly be ashamed. All this over a few measly dollars? Pathetic. I’d love to know how they plan to enforce this in the drive-thru — are they going to start checking birth certificates now? Mia’s, I expected better. Ten years of loyalty, and this is how you treat your customers? Absolutely ridiculous and beyond stingy. You’ve lost our business. It’s more disappointing because we go to many restaurants that allow my son to order from kids menu without any problems.
