No wait when we got there at 2pm. Food was all great and flavorful. The boudin balls were very good and had cheese inside. Tried the calamari and pork snacklins. The micheladas are highly recommended.

We've (wife & I) gone to various similar seafood restaurants and this is by far the best. Not only was the server great and attentive (didn't get his name but he was super tall) but explained and put up with our indecisiveness. What we ate/drank: The Hurricane Flight - We are not drinkers so these were strong for us. You get 5 small Mason jar drinks. 4/5 tasted great. The last one was too strong for us but not bad. Lobsta Pasta Great. Solid. Lobster was delicious and pasta hit the spot. Custom boil We cannot handle spiciness so we had zero spice in our boil but it had great flavor. We also got a side of #2 spice (forgot the name) to dabble with our boil and that was super spicy for us but the flavor was AMAZING! Thank you Smashin Crab - we had an amazing lunch at yalls establishment.

Tried a couple new items this time and absolutely LOVED THEM !! I’ve had the seafood boil before and it was great, this time I tried the lobster roll, jambalaya balls, pecan pie and banana pudding for dessert. The lobster roll was packed with buttery crab and tasted better then any other I’ve had, the roll came with some crispy and Cajun fries and coleslaw (I don’t usually like coleslaw but there’s is great) !! The jambalaya balls were recommended by our server Eric and they did not disappoint, highly recommend you try them if you haven’t. The pecan pie was alright, I’ve had better and it was really soft compared to others. The banana pudding is made in house, it’s creamy, not overly sweet and has the perfect banana taste. Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and order something other than a seafood boil here. Overall service was great, Eric was friendly and had great recommendations.

Staff was incredibly attentive. Kudos to Phoenix, our server. Appetizers came out quickly, and drinks were always topped off. The Magnolia boil was perfect and butter was flowing. Shrimp were huge and amazing. Very happy Traveler!

The service was spot on. Serenity took very good care of us. The lobster tails are wonderful. Gator and red fish was great and the Margaritas delicious and tasty. Over all my husband and I loved it…

Grabbed boudin balls and dirty rice to go with dinner. For the most part this was a great experience. The lovely lady that greeted me and helped with my Togo order was phenomenal, seriously amazing. Aubrey I think! The food was also absolutely spectacular, my 1st time here! My only complaint would be that the lady working the bar could have definitely been more pleasant/customer friendly. She had that mad at the world look and attitude going on when i grabbed a beer while i waited for my food. (If I return, will be avoiding interaction with her but otherwise would have been a 10/10)

My husband and I had an experience at a different location that wasn’t the best, food-wise…so we tried this one, because we’d heard it was much better. We were told correctly! The food was phenomenal! We both started with a drink (my husband had a beer on tap, and I ordered the Eye of the Hurricane. My drink was DELICIOUS…but unfortunately didn’t have anything on the rim like my waitress told me it would. Even without the rim dressing - it was still yummy! We then ordered oysters, and were so pleased!! They were HUGE…& came with all of the sides, except horseradish. We actually ordered a dozen, but only received a half dozen. We decided not to bring it up, because we knew we’d be too full to finish our dinner. Lastly - we ordered the Trolley Stop Boil with the Cajun Sauce and a #3 Alarm heat level. It was one of the best boils we’ve ever had at a restaurant!!! SO YUMMY!!! The seasoning was PERFECT, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. And for the record - we ended up having to take half the meal home with us! We could NOT finish it! The atmosphere of this location was very chill, but welcoming. The host was great! He even helped bring food out to us at one point…& was just so friendly and funny! Our only complaint was our waitress. As mentioned, she told us about things, and never followed through with them. The drink rim dressing, bringing out crackers for our oysters (we had to ask again), bringing us out lemons with our boil (again, had to ask twice)…& we asked twice for garlic butter sauce on the side…but never got any. She also seemed to rush us. It’s very rare that we get a date night…so we wanted to take our time and just enjoy our evening. She just seemed like she was trying to hurry us, and even seemed annoyed a couple of times when we weren’t ready. HOWEVER. The host? As mentioned - he was great. We’ll definitely be back to this location…we just might try to get seated in a different area. The host, the food, and the atmosphere made it a wonderful experience!🩵

We’ve been enjoying Smashin Crab for a while, and even though it’s a bit pricy, (it is seafood, after all!) it’s usually worth it. We love the shrimp, sausage, and clams. Just a heads up though the clams run out pretty often. We always go with level one spice otherwise it’s too spicy for us. The real standout is the sauce! It’s perfect for making fried rice afterward. Just mix in sesame oil and seasoned seaweed, and it’s delicious. This time though they gave us a smaller portion of sauce which wasn’t quite enough to make our fried rice like usual. Usually, they’re generous with it so hoping they’ll bring that back.

I ordered off of Uber eats and my food was delivered hot, fresh, and I appreciated my boil was double bagged. I did the build your own boil and got a pound of shrimp (head on and off available) in the trinity butter. The corn, boiled egg, and potatoes are an additional price and only come one in an order. The boil was delicious, my only complaint is the overcooked and super salty corn. The fried seafood basket was fried and seasoned well, good quality tartar sauce... the batter on the shrimp was personally too thick for me though. Overall, good experience and would order from here again.

Delicious food. Prices are a little steep but the portions are reasonable. If you like Razoos, this has a similar atmosphere and food quality. Our wait time for the food to be delivered was excessive and, although it was pretty busy, it seemed to be just our table experiencing this difficulty. All in all, I’d consider going back but not anytime soon.

Finally a decent Cajun seafood joint! I enjoyed every dish we ordered. Tonight, we ordered the Perfect Storm platter, garlic wings, catfish basket, and char grilled oyster. They’re packed with flavors but they need to go easy on the salt/seasoning. If they can fix this, I would give them a perfect 5. I give their customer service an A+! Super friendly, fast, and very responsive. Thanks, Smashin Crab! 🦀

Really laid back, casual atmosphere. We were greeted at the door and seated right away. Our waiter was super nice and quite attentive. He explained the menu thoroughly and gave recommendations. We had the fried pickles, crab with trinity seasoning (heat level 3) and the char grilled oysters. We have had a LOT of fried pickles but these were SO good. I HIGHLY recommend them! Crispy, the batter actually stayed on, and they were seasoned to perfection. The oysters were out of this world as well. If you eat nothing else here, get the oysters!!! Now, the crab was really fresh and tender. Our waiter recommended the trinity so that's what we went with. If I had to choose again I wouldn't get it; something about the flavor that just didn't do it for me. I needed more citrus and Cajun flavor. It was good, just not personally what I would order next time. Overall a great experience, worth every penny! Also, we grabbed a few Texas beers to wash it all down. We will be returning for sure!

Truly disappointed in the service from a young man who should have all his faculties about him. He must have been on the job for perhaps a week at most otherwise there is no explanation for the lack of utensils and plates upon receiving our appetizers, no condiments or lemon for a dozen oysters on ice tray. We decided to build our own boil and requested 2 pounds of head off shrimp, 3 snowcrab clusters, 1 pound of mussels, 7 corn, 4 links of sausage, 7 potatoes, 2 boiled eggs and ramen. Well, they forgot to include the sausage so they brought 2 small sausage links plain in a bowl-- not boiled in sauce. Then we noticed the potatoes were missing as well! This time my son requested they put in with boiling sauce for which they accommodated us unlike the sausage. I guess the cook realized he sent out sausage plain in a bowl when he found out he left out potatoes for the same guests so he included 2 sausage links in this boil to make up for the mix up. My kids (now adults) are very cognizant of good manners and thus treat others as you would like to be treated and did not complain or bring these anomalies to the server's attention. I, however, will tell you like it really is! That is because I am now a senior citizen in my mid seventies and try to spend my monies wisely. Especially now when prices are next to outrageous since that so-called "pandemic"--a total lie! So there, I told you of our sad experience on a bill of $265.00 for evening meal plus tip inspite of above circumstances. Your choice.

Nice place nothing special or fancy. Prices were higher than expected. The portions are small do to market prices. I'd probably choose Red Hook or Hook and reel, to get a seafood boil next time

Let me begin by prefacing this by saying that our server was fantastic. His professionalism and understanding were appreciated. I went to meet two friends on their lunch break as the restaurant is literally less than 5 min away for both. I was enjoying my day off. I ordered an appetizer and lunch special, and there was only 2 other tables with 2-3 people at each table. Unfortunately our first appetizer (dozen butter chargrilled oysters) was completely burned, with the attempt to hide the burned oysters with the accompanying bread. Returned them and they corrected the issue. Thank you. My friends and I ordered two lunch specials and a fish and chips plate. We like to talk and bs around, and before we knew it, we’d been waiting about 35-45 min with no food other than being served the burned and corrected oysters. My buddies were understandably upset about the wait time, commented about it, waited another 5 min before asking to pack his order to go. No manager came out to apologize for the wait, the food quality, or offer any kind of compensation. We weren’t looking for compensation or anything, but each of us has/had customer satisfaction experience, restaurant experience, etc and all of us have been or currently are upper management in our industries. It is important to put fires out asap when a situation arises and to make the customer leave feeling content AT THE VERY LEAST! When we got our food, the serving portions weren’t worth the wait and my dish was missing ingredients that were described on the menu itself. Very disappointed in that location for this experience, as I consider it the best seafood boil restaurant in town. May be a one off, but management needs to do a better job of handling customer dissatisfaction and take the complaints seriously upon immediate delivery. I spent almost $40 total on my ticket alone.

We come here each year to celebrate a birthday.. This time the location in Stone Oak could not have been worse. Starting with the service, the salads were delivered AFTER the meals. Our waitress didn’t think there was anything wrong with that. The salads were both brown. We sent them back. The pasta was way over cooked and soggy. The grilled shrimp was cooked so much it was dry like beef jerky. They were out of crawfish and vinaigrette salad dressing.. We told our waitress we were here to celebrate a birthday. She later came up to the “birthday boy’ and asked if he wanted to be sung to!? We said not to bother- par for the course. I noticed there was smashed food underneath my placemat. The floor was so sticky under the table that my husbands shoes kept making loud noises each time he moved his feet from being stuck to the floor. The rice was so overcooked it was all stuck together in one mound. Finally, as we paid the bill, we brought up why when we paid the tip choices started at 3%? Our waitress didn’t say a word when we asked. We chose the highest tip % which was 15%. When she brought the bill back we noticed we were charged 18% gratuity for since we were a party of 7 plus an extra 15%!! There was no way we were going to pay a 33% tip for this experience. The manager removed the extra 15% but never apologized for any of this. With our meals being $30 each, this is definitely a place we will stop going to. There are plenty of nice restaurants in Stone Oak. Don’t waste your time or money going to Smashing Crab! 🦀

Just got home from a long day of work to enjoy a nice hot seafood boil . Completely trash. Shrimp was soggy , sausage was soggy , sauce tasted like water . This place went completely downhill. We have taken breaks from here for awhile because it’s inconsistent. I called to ask for a solution , they want me to bring my food in to show proof before they can provide a solution . What type of sick , disgusting, cross contamination request is this. To bring my food from home that I touched to show you I didn’t eat the food ? Never again 🤢
