This is the best barbacoa I’ve had in years!!!! So happy I found this spot! I bought two pounds for tortas. Can’t wait to comeback and try corn tortillas

I love the atmosphere how its a family owned business. From the moment you walk in they make you feel as if your family. The food s cook with Love and from the heart. Best Barbacoa place to go to in San Antonio.

I’d give more than 5 stars if i could, we had went right before they closed and for a normal establishment you usually get the bottom the of barrel of what they have left BUT not here. The barbacoa was SUPER fresh. 10/10 recommend ✨

First off, the Barbacoa and tamales are absolutely delicious. Every time you go in there, you are treated like family. If you stop by, you won't be disappointed. Everything is homemade. Wish other establishments took as much pride in what they do as Pepe's.

The people were so friendly and kind, the food was fantastic, so good I'm going back today. To my knowledge they have a limited menu when I went, consisting of barbacoa, chicharrones, tortillas, avocados, salsa, taco toppings and I think maybe a couple of other things, they of course have big red and other drinks. Its not a dine in place, more like a grab your food and go. I highly recommend their food and I'm definitely going back. Very good portions as well for the price, I spent like 13, for 3 tacos, salsa, toppings and a avocado, which they very kindly sliced for me. They take cash and card now which is really nice, and my taco was I think 3.50? Honestly not bad especially for the quality and portion size. I don't have a wheelchair but I do have a cane, it was easy to get in and out also if you're worried about accessibility. No stairs or anything. If you do have a wheelchair the only thing I can think of is the door is your standard door size, so if your wheelchair is wider, or if you have your wheels set to any degree, it might be a little hard to get in. But I don't think there should be an issue.

I was born and raised on the west side of San Antonio. The place my father always went to closed down years ago and I have never found a better place until three years ago when I found this amazing little place. I used to live 3 blocks from here and stumbled on it my husband said let see what this little place is about. Like small in size big in flavor and service. These people are so kind welcoming and they have the best Barbacoa in the city hands down! I moved a few months ago out of the city limits but on Sundays I’m driving into town for this good! God bless them always. Truly genuine people.

Barbacoa is the real deal. No dine in option but that’s how you know it’s legit good. Will be back

Had gotten the barbacoa and we loved. Decided to eat in the car and once finished. We had to go back in for seconds. 😋 😋 absolutely recommend. I believe he was the owner or the cook but he is the best guy ever. Coming back tomorrow early for those tamales.

The service is super! 🙂 The barbacoa is okay. It seems a bit dry! Didn't come with no salsa☹️. The corn tortillas are good. The tamales 🫔 are delicious!! 😋🤤

My first visit at this restaurant. Service was very friendly. I ordered half a dozen tamales to go. My order didn't come with any sauce or salt. The tamales were ok but didn't have alot of meat.

Barbacoa the only thing good and that's it. Salsa super watery. Tortillas are basic at best. Also it's 2025, cash only is unacceptable 😑

Barbacoa taste like fake meat and not hot. Did not like flavor. $10 for half a pound. 1 pound is $17.95 They changed the price from $11.95 to $17.95. They need to update prices on their Google maps. Was able to make only 3 tacos with the half a pound they gave me. Does not feed 2 people. Thanks
