I've always enjoyed my meals at Chin's and their new location in Point Loma is no exception. After a day along the coast, the little one was getting hungry so we decided to head over to Chin's. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Tangerine Chicken was a standout — crispy, juicy, and coated in a perfectly balanced sweet and tangy sauce that wasn’t overly sticky or heavy. The Kung Pao Beef had just the right amount of spice, with tender beef that made every bite juicy and flavorful. We also tried the House Fried Rice, and it was full of fresh veggies, savory meats, and just the right smoky wok flavor. Finally, the double happinese was great for seafood lovers: shrimp, scallops, and squid all cooked just right, tossed in a light, savory sauce that brought out the natural flavors beautifully. Every dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the portions were generous without sacrificing quality. Chin's new spot is solid and perfect if you're wanting asian comfort food.
No matter which Chin’s you go to, you can count on delicious Chinese food and incredible service. Their new Point Loma location is no exception! I love the calming decor with orchids on each table and pretty oriental designs tied into the interior. Some of our absolute favorites are the chicken wings, tangerine chicken, and cream cheese wontons.
Their new location is smaller than others but everything about it looks and tastes just as good as the rest. Standouts for me were the Tangerine Chicken and the Crispy Salt & Pepper Wings--the flavors were so good and texture on point! The menu can be overwhelming with all you can choose from, but the staff was very helpful with that. Highly recommend!
AMAZING!!! This food was amazing! The new location is really elegant. The hostess was super sweet and welcomed us right away. The place was busy but we didn't have to wait. The egg rolls are so delicious but they aren't greasy or heavy. We ordered the shrimp and chicken sesame special and that was my favorite. I loved the black pepper beef (one of their best dishes) and I always get the lo mein. The service is always on point. If you are thinking of coming here please try them out! It's the best Chinese food in San Diego !
Chin’s really does stand out in San Diego! I attached a video so you can see exactly what I’m talking about :) The walnut shrimp is honestly one of their strongest plates, and my leftovers didn’t last! Even the rolls came out clean, not greasy, which tells you EVERYTHING about the oil they use. San Diego has no shortage of Chinese food, but Chin’s has earned its reputation.
I loved my dining experience at Chin's Szechwan restaurant (@ their Point Loma location in San Diego)!! I have missed having the ability to dine in a Chinese restaurant where you don't have to order your food from a fastfood-like menu board, and the decor creates a more authentic Chinese atmosphere with high quality, fresh, and delicious food. The "Sizzling Rice Soup," "Potstickers," and "Kung Pao Three Flavor" were excellent, and I highly recommend them! The portions of everything I ordered was generous and enough for sharing. The staff were friendly and attentive to ensure that everything met expectations!
I was so glad when I heard that Chins opened up a location closer to me. My family and I came here for lunch and the food was great, as it always is when we visited the Chins in north county. It's in a convenient location with ample parking, the restaurant vibe has a casual atmosphere with nice decor, perfect for date night or hanging out with friends. You can taste the quality in the ingredients. We started off with my daughter's favorite soup which is the imperial soup. It was flavored perfectly, my husband who is not as fond of seafood, had 2 servings! We also had the salt and pepper wings which was lightly crisped with a surprising hint of ginger and served on a bed of crispy wonton skins. The tangerine chicken was my favorite, the chicken was still crispy underneath the tangerine sauce. The portions were huge, and all the dishes came out in a timely manner. The staff was really friendly and attentive. Chins is definitely the place to go to if you are looking for quality Chinese food in a causal setting.
Honestly, Chins is the only Chinese restaurant I go to because nothing else compares. We started with crispy cream cheese wontons (absolutely love these) and egg flower soup. So good and the soup can be shared. We got 2 of our usual entrees, the crispy pork and Szechwan green beans and decided to add something new, the spicy honey and sesame chicken. We got a 2 on a scale of 1-5. It had a little kick and was so good. And of course the service and ambiance were wonderful as always!
My boyfriend and I went on 4/27 for dinner. I have never been to any Chin's restaurant and I am so glad they opened a location in point Loma which is 6 minutes away from me. I don't ever write reviews but I had to for this restaurant. The inside is so pretty/beautiful and I love the decorations and how they set everything up. It's a welcoming atmosphere. All the servers are attentive and very friendly. All the food we have tried are good and flavorful. I would definitely come back to try more food and also try the other locations. All I can say is everything we tried are delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant even eating our left overs is even way better ! If your ever in the area, don't skip on this place. You must go!
This is the newest location of the esteemed Chin's Szechwan Chinese restaurants. My family and I came here and had a delicious lunch. We started with the imperial soup which was super flavorful with big pieces of chicken and crab. The Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings were super crispy and had the perfect amount of garlic and ginger. The wings are served with crispy wonton skins which are great for scooping up the extra garlic and scallions. For entrees we got the tangerine chicken which was crispy and juicy, although I wish it had a stronger citrus flavor. The walnut shrimp was fantastic even though they forgot our walnuts, but we enjoyed it so much we didn't even notice till we had finished our meal. We also got the string beans and tofu which were super flavorful and the veggies were cooked perfectly. Definetly recommend this place.
Ate lunch at the new location of Chin’s on their opening day. Interior was clean and chic, no wait to be seated, staff were friendly, and parking plentiful. Service was good albeit a bit disorganized and slow at times, but I’d chalk both of those things up to it being their first day open. I expect I’d be able to give 5 stars for service on my next visit. Food came out a little slow too, again likely related to it being opening day. But all in all a good experience and we will be back! We ordered the cream cheese wontons not pictured), sweet & sour soup w/ pork (which came loaded with ingredients), tangerine beef, Szechwan garlic pork, and walnut shrimp. Food was presented nicely and was tasty. Some dishes could have arrived a bit warmer. We had to send the Szechwan garlic pork back b/c we’d ordered it 5 stars but it came like it was only 1.5 stars. The new version was accurately spiced. My favorites dishes were the walnut shrimp and tangerine beef.
We stumbled on this place while shopping on a long weekend in San Diego. I could smell the food when we walked out of the store! Long wait but so worth it! Great service, food was fresh & flavorful & reasonably priced. We had the pot stickers, pepper chicken & chicken fried rice. Highly recommend.
I loved this place. The atmosphere is so lovely and peaceful. Everything is very detailed and clean. The staff is very formally dressed and don't give much information when you ask them something, but they are friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. I will definitely return to this place.
Solid Chinese lunch specials with generous portions We recently had lunch at Chin’s Restaurant and ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Szechuan Garlic Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, and Chicken Lo Mein as part of their lunch specials. Each lunch special came with hot and sour soup, plus one chicken dumpling and one spring roll, which was a nice bonus and made the meal feel like a great value. The soup was warming and flavorful without being overly sour or spicy. The Kung Pao Chicken was well-balanced with tender chicken, crunchy peanuts, and vegetables, delivering just the right amount of heat. The Szechuan Garlic Chicken had a bold, garlicky sauce that paired especially well with the fried rice. Both the Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Lo Mein were solid—good texture, not greasy, and generously portioned. The lo mein was savory and comforting, while the fried rice was fluffy and satisfying. Portions were generous, perfect for sharing, and the small touches like pickled cucumbers and orange slices rounded out the plates nicely. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly. Overall, excellent value for lunch, reliable flavors, and comforting Chinese food done right. We’d definitely come back.
Chin's provided a great meal! On a rainy day we were craving a great meal, but without breaking the bank. We first ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings for an appetizer. Wow, these wings are packed with flavor!! I would definitely come back just for these. Our main dishes were the chicken Lo Mein and the beef Lo Mein(with the omellete). Both were very flavorful and also provided a hearty size. There was not a bad bite in this meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It has a high end feel, but without the high end prices. Our server wa great too. I didn't see her name on the receipt; I wish I could have remembered her name to give her a mention. I can't wait to come back. I highly recommened Chin's for a delicious meal. Eat up!!!
Absolutely divine Chinese cuisine. Wish they had one of these where I am from. Quality quality quality and fast service thank you very much!
Best chicken wings in San Diego. The Spicy Honey Sesame wings are a must. Ordered to go and it was ready early.
Really great food! The service was great and the servers were really friendly. The restaurant is pretty small so it definitely fills up fast. Impressive for it being a chain restaurant.
I have been coming to Chin’s Szechuan since childhood and they never disappoint. I am so excited to visit a new location. The food, ambiance, and service is top of the line. Cheers to Chin’s 😊.
Such a wonderful experience, delicious food, and beautiful atmosphere. Went with a group and to try several dishes, all perfectly seasoned and tasty. Service was exceptional
The food was delicious and the service was friendly and fast. I'm so happy an authentic Chinese restaurant opened close to where I live.
We made reservations and thankfully we did because the restaurant itself is small. The food, the service, the cleanliness, it was great! Prices are fair for sharing style and portions are good. The food was ready quickly and fresh. The staff was very attentive, always checking in if we needed anything. The food wasn’t bloating like some other Chinese restaurants. Definitely coming back!
We got the ku ting chicken and the spicy honey sesame chicken, as well as the crab rangoons. Everything was delicious, fresh, and served promptly. Service was wonderful, very personable! We will make it a point to visit when we are back in town!
We’ve eaten here multiple times now and everything is delicious! So happy to have a great Szechwan Chinese option here in Point Loma.
I am blown away by this place. I screwed up on my order but they were so kind and accommodated a change. The food is delicious and my favorite Chinese food in San Diego
My BF and I just had dinner there tonight. It was fantastic! We had the pot stickers for appetizer. Then for our dinner, garlic szechwan shrimp and beef and szechwan string beans, which came with white rice. So delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly. Shout out to our waitress Mandy. We will be returning to try different items on the menu!
Broad menu, delicious food. All the vegetables were fresh and crunchy. Great service, lunch special is abundant and fairly priced.
Chins is hands-down one of the best spots in town for flavorful Chinese food in San Diego. I was thrilled when I saw they opened a new location in Point Loma. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the comforting aroma of sizzling stir-fries and savory sauces. Beautiful decor, absolutely a must try!
Delicious, fresh food & large portions! So glad to have them in the area. Ordered from them several times but made the mistake of pushing pickup instead of uber delivery. When we called to find out how to fix the problem we created, the employee got in his own car & brought it to us. Not typical customer service in this day & age!
Wife and I were craving Chinese tonight so we ate at Chin's new opening at Point Loma. I don't often leave reviews but after our meal yesterday, going to leave a 5 star rating for this spot! Food - absolutely delicious, packed with savory and spicy Szechuan flavors, my fave is the salt and pepper chicken wings 100%, the garlic Szechuan chicken is bomb, chow mein, hot and sour soup, can't go wrong on a Friday night. Ambience - nice decor, spacious, clean environment, great for date night or just family feasting Service - 5 stars for this one, hostess greeted us right away, server was attentive and friendly Overall, 6 stars if I could. Top Chinese restaurant in San Diego!!
One of the best Chinese food I’ve had, plus service was top notch. I’ve been to their La Jolla restaurant, but this establishment IMO is much better, and you can tell their chef takes pride in all his food. My family loved everything we ordered, highly recommend.
Massive portions and one of the best Chinese food I’ve had in San Diego.
Hands down the best Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. We are from AZ so I will be missing the gem.
Very pleased with the food and portions here, the staff made this place great. Highly recommend and definitely coming back.
I 100% recommend this place. I watched a video on Kensiochoa's Instagram and we thought everything looked delicious, so we had to visit. Everything is really delicious and of good quality. They served us very kindly and gave us a table quickly. The prices were good. We'll be back soon. Yummy 👌👌
Cozy little Chinese restaurant. Excellent food, large portions, reasonable prices, and attentive staff.
This place is awesome! I'm glad they finally opened one in Point Loma! The food is as great as all the other locations. Don't forget to order the salt and pepper chicken wings!
We hadn’t had Chin’s for 17 years since we lived in Carlsbad. Have to say-it was as good as we remembered! We will be back, soon!
The food is delicious!! Hands down the best I've had in a long time, no kidding you have to try this place....🤪
Wow. I love this place. Finally found my spot. Delicious food, beautiful environment and the people are warm and friendly. It's alittle more expensive at dinner but you get more. Lunch is great because you get alot...soup, main course, dumpling, egg roll, marinated cucumber, rice! Heavenly. Highly recommend.
Originally from Manhattan makes us a rather good judge of what true chinese food should be about. Chin's Point Loma is great example for all to enjoy. Clean restaurant, clean uniforms, and plenty of food. All with a big smile. Just wish they had sprimp with lobster sauce, but all in all great food, and a sweet expericnce. Wahoooooo Chin's Szechwan Pt. Loma
Five Stars -- Exceptional Service & Flavor That Surprised Me! I walked into this Chinese restaurant expecting a cozy, family-run "mom and pop" spot--and honestly, it felt exactly like that from the moment I was greeted. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel like a regular even though it was my first visit. The service was personal, quick, and thoughtful--something you don't always expect from a chain. The surprise? This place is a chain in San Diego County. You wouldn't know it from the way they treat you or the quality of the food. Everything I ordered tasted fresh and homemade-- especially the crispy, perfectly balanced orange chicken (not too sweet, not too sticky). The veggies in the stir fry were vibrant and crisp, and the fried rice had that unmistakable wok flavor you only get from chefs who care. It's rare to find a chain that operates with the heart and consistency of a small family-owned place. This spot nails it. I'll definitely be back--and bringing friends. Highly recommend if you're looking for authentic flavors and top-tier service without the fuss.
We are visiting from out of town and we’re craving Chinese cuisine. This place did not disappoint. The service was top notch, the food came came out fast and was fresh and hot, and they have a great variety of options to choose from. Highly recommend!
Really great food, big portions and excellent service. The hot & sour soup was the best I've had in a LONG time! So many delicious entrees to choose from, there is something to make everyone happy here. Highly recommend!
Our food was delicious and the portions were quite large. The restaurant is very clean and our server and all staff members were very friendly and provided outstanding service.
This place serves fresh and delicious food no matter what I order everytime in a beautiful dining room! Will definitely come back with friends to put them onto this place. The staff also works extremely well together as a team.
Finally, great Chinese food in Point Loma! They even have sizzling rice soup, my childhood favorite from the 80s in San Francisco. Friendly staff and authentic classic dishes make this spot stand out from the rest. Highly recommended!
I cannot tell you how excited I am to have a Chin's Szechwan in Point Loma. Chin's is the cure to all of my cravings. All of the food is fresh and full of flavor, and the portions are HUGE. The staff is always super pleasant and the decor makes for a great ambiance. I love how authentic and traditional the space feels. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes here, but some of my favorites include the Salt & Pepper Wings, Beef Fried Rice (and you can add an omelette on top!) and the Spicy Honey Sesame Chicken. P.S. if you enjoy spice, tell them you want a four or five on the spice scale, anything below a four isn't really "spicy" for true spice lovers. Definitely check it out the next time you want some amazing Chinese food whether you prefer takeout or dining in! You won't regret it.
We had eaten at this restaurant in Rancho Bernardo and loved it so we were excited to try this new location. We went on opening night and had a great dining experience. Salt and pepper wings were really good but we also loved the spicy honey and sesame ones that we got last time. We really enjoyed the Kung Pau Chicken and the Beef with string beans! The ambiance was pretty and pleasant. Service was great. Totally recommend this restaurant.
Amazing Experience! I got invited to sample the menu & had an amazing time. From our super knowledgable server to the flavorful amazing food, it was such a treat & i can't wait to return & try more food. Even just the fried rice had such a unique flavor, such that i've never experienced before, it was so amazing to try their fantastic food. Seriously, bring a group and order a bunch or plate that you can all share. Thank you, Chins for an astounding experience. San Diego has been in need of a high quality Chinese restaurant for a long time. I should also mention the surroundings were first class & decorated tastefully. I can't wait to return & sample more amazing dishes!
Went here for lunch for the Lantern Festival (end of Chinese New Year). What a pleasant surprise. We have not had a favorite Chinese restaurant since our favorite closed many years ago. Food was excellent. However, the service and atmosphere are outstanding. Presentation of items were totally unexpected and wonderful. A pleasant excape into a real old fashioned Chinese restaurant. The servings are big, but they gladly offer to box up what you cannot eat. We finally have a new Chinese restaurant to visit.
Great restaurant if you’re looking for top tier Chinese food. I eat here often and the food and service is great every time, consistency matters.. I love the Lo mein noodles with vegetables and the salt and pepper wings are the absolute best. The staff are very welcoming and polite. The ambiance in the restaurant is nice as well. Definitely one of my favorite spots. Try them out ! (:
The food was so good. I came here with my 2 kids and thought this was going to be uncomfortable with kids but I was surprised on how kid friendly it ended up being. My favorite dishes were the walnut shrimp and the house noodles. The hot and sour soup was 10/10. The staff was so welcoming and friendly we felt like we were eating around family. I will definitely be coming back with my kids and husband. The portions are very Sharable so this is great for coming with a large party
Husband picked up dinner at 8:15, got home and no pancakes or hoisin for the MooShi and only one order of brown rice. Immediately tried calling restaurant as we are close, but no one picked up! They close at 8:30, so now we’re out of luck. It cost over $70 for two entrees, four little egg rolls and we’d never have ordered MooShi without pancakes. He checked receipt but clearly didn’t thoroughly vet the bag- Very disappointed.
We went to lunch at Chins Szechwan with a party of 3. Greeted immediately and seated right away. Moderately crowded in a nicely decorated restaurant. It is not really large but can seat a good amount of patrons. The service was very good and they checked back often. Their environment is very clean to include their bathrooms. It seems to encompass the cuisine for a Chinese and or Szechuan menu. You can order cuisine a variety of ways to your choice. We had the A La Mandarin beef w/ mushrooms served with fried brown rice and egg roll with a pork dumpling. Large portion and very good. We also had the Mongolian beef with rice and green beans. It also had the egg roll and a pork dumpling. Again large portion and very good. It is a level above PF Chang's for instance. All dishes can be set to your heat or hot taste. The Tangerine Shrimp with broccoli and peppers was outstanding and large portion again. We had the large lo mein to share. Excellent flavor. No small portions here. You order the main entree and they complete the platter for you. They do it well and come hungry. Definitely original and quality food all around. They serve a solid selection of wine and beers for all tastes. The service is very quick from order to table. Your not waiting your eating!!. Fortune cookies and very reasonable pricing. The staff is pleasant and helpful. They don't rush you in any way. You pay at the table on a hand held device. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.
My thoughts on Chin’s. Food: the food was good but didn’t blow me away. I think that the only world I can use for it is “good.” The Mongolian beef was very tasty and I liked it a lot but they put so much onion in the dish that there was hardly any beef. I ordered a veggie, scallop, and shrimp dish and while it was good it was evident that nothing was particularly hard to make and the shrimp was frozen before they cooked it. So paying $25 ish dollars for an entree when the food wasn’t amazing left me feeling slightly bitter. Service: The staff all wore button up shirts with a black tie, which made me feel like I was underdressed. Other than that it was amazing, the staff was quick and professional. Atmosphere: Chin’s atmosphere is hard to beat. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed at the attention to detail to each and every part of this restaurant. I will say that it felt slightly more upscale than I was expecting.
Ate here on a lazy Saturday at lunch. No wait to get in. Service was a bit slow as it was about 15mins before our order was taken. We ordered the Mapo Tofu and the Hot and Sour soup. The soup was great. Large shareable portions for each. The Mapo Tofu was just alright. Not as flavorful as versions I have had in the past. Interior was clean. Esthetic was elevated Chinese spot. Overall, everything about this place was good. Not great, but good. Prices were decent given the large splittable portions. If you are in the Point Loma area and craving Chinese, Chin’s will hit the spot.
Very traditional American Chinese food. If you regularly go to Convoy you’ll be disappointed. Nice option for bringing not very adventurous family members or for people who want to eat the standards.
Got takeout from here. Pretty good menu and the food was tasty. Only rating it 4 stars because I found it to be pretty overpriced.
Service was perfect! Lunch menu was generous and affordable. Portions were larger than expected. Restaurant is clean and well decorated; very charming.
The food was great and so was the customer service . We did have to wait longer than expected for our food but overall I’d definitely eat here again .
Great restaraunt, great portions. Just wish the servers had more knowledge of their menu items. Asked a ton of questions about what ingredients were in various menu items and did not get a warm fuzzy feeling on the competency of the wait staff
Staff was professional, kind and attentive. Food was meh. Too much sugar in their sauces. Sauce was thick, sticky and over powered the taste of the meat and veggies. The meat was tender but had overcooked pieces, as if it was fried as opposed to wok style.
My appetizer and white rice was delicious. My main course was not so good. I probably ate about three bites something did not taste right. Little bit later, my stomach did start feeling irritated. I love Chinese food but my taste buds and stomach was not feeling it. The waiter never came back to offer us more water or see if we wanted anything else to drink. The ambience was very nice. The end!
The food wasn't temperature warm and it tasted very bland. I don't think based on the timing that the dish was fresh. I did live in Thailand so I am used to really tasty Asian food in general. It was underwhelming. But staff and the restaurant itself was nice.
O Order the Kung Pao “spicy” It was the worst I’ve ever had. Zero spice!!! I mean ZERO! Food was warm not hot. Just super mediocre and just a step above Panda Express. I won’t be back.
I am writing to share feedback regarding a recent dinner visit to your restaurant. After a positive lunch experience previously, I decided to bring my family and other family members back for dinner, but unfortunately, we found the experience quite disappointing due to the service being incredibly rushed. Almost immediately after we were seated, we felt pressured to place our entire order. We began with two appetizers, but our server insisted we order our main courses before the second appetizer had even arrived. This hurried atmosphere was consistent across the staff, who frequently cleared our plates the moment we finished a bite. We visited expecting a relaxing dinner with family, but the pace felt more like a fast-food establishment than a fine dining restaurant. I hope this feedback is helpful for improving the dining experience for your future guests. One more thing I would like to address which was brought up in a previous review that the food is not really cooked to order. They actually served me chicken broccoli by mistake and I told the waiter I ordered beef broccoli and my food was in front of me in less than 2 minutes. How could that be cooked fresh to order?
We have ordered from Chins in Point Loma multiple times and would give them 5 stars until our order tonight. Tonight our order (wonton soup, hot and sour soup, and two chicken entrees) was surprisingly unremarkable. There was questionable beef in the wonton soup which also lacked the wonderful flavor it had previously. One chicken entree was dry with very little sauce and only one small container of rice for two entrees. Disappointing. Maybe new chef?
I ordered through Uber eats and am highly disappointed. I tried this restaurant because of the high ratings but was extremely let down. I was distributing the black pepper chicken for my kids and I to share when a grey plastic peg fell out onto the plate. While I was stunned and looking through the food my other kid was already eating, my second kid took a bite of an undercooked chicken wing! If you chose to order here, use caution.
i ordered a szechwan string beans meal with tofu from this restaurant and was instead served multiple medium-sized and small pieces of beef mixed into my food. i've been meat-free since 2009, so this was not only deeply upsetting ethically, but it also made me physically ill. after realizing what i had eaten, i vomited that same day, dealt with an upset stomach for several days, and lost my appetite for nearly a week. when i contacted the restaurant, they admitted the mistake and promised both a venmo refund and a $100 gift certificate. almost three weeks later, i have received neither. i did decline the gift card, as this was my first and last time eating at this restraunt. because of how serious this is, i filed formal complaints with both the better business bureau and the san diego county health department. if you avoid meat for religious, spiritual, or personal reasons, please be extremely cautious when ordering from here. food safety and ingredient integrity matter, and this experience showed me how easily trust can be broken. what happened to me should not happen to anyone.
I've ordered food here twice. They got the orders wrong both times. The lady at the the front area is rude as well. Very over priced for pretty average food.
Was looking forward to trying this place, but it was an absolute chaotic mess. There were several people waiting for food orders, a couple that had their order messed up arguing with an employee, and several other staff coming and going but no one acknowledged us for several minutes. When we were finally acknowledged and asked if we were dining in, we were told it'd be about a 30-60min wait. We said that was fine and stood off to the side as they didn't ask us anything else. Several other people walked in with reserved tables and then another couple walked in for dining in options. They were immediately acknowledged and told the wait time and their info was taken and they were put on their walk in list. When I approached them and said they hadn't taken our info and we had arrived first, we were ignored so we left. Will have to try one of their other locations because this one seems to pick and choose which customers it wants to serve.
Tangerine chicken, the main dish I ordered, not delivered. Thanks DoorDash and Chin’s for charging me for food and not delivering it. DoorDash forces me to resolve this myself by calling the restaurant. Restaurant says they will credit my card but have not seen it and not holding my breath. If you feel like paying and hoping you get the food you ordered, give it a shot. I don’t recommend.
Was really excited to try the new location. Looked up prices before ordering over the phone... was charged higher prices. Food was not hot... barely warm. The most disappointing part of this experience is there was a piece of metal in my food.
I have NEVER given a single star review because I genuinely believe it's almost impossible to be non-biased and give one, but today was the first. This is by far the worst Chinese food my wife and I have ever had. We spent $75 on 12 Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings, one order of Sweet and Sour Chicken, and one order of Chicken Fried Rice. Not a single item was enjoyable. All items were bland with zero flavor. To top it off, it was extremely overpriced. Our fried rice was $18 for one takeaway carton. $18 for a tiny takeaway!!! We had two bites of each item and threw away $75 worth of food, which honestly, was worth maybe $30 at best if you are talking about just quantity and not quality. Needless to say, we are still hungry. Should've just gone to Panda Express at this point.
We ordered a #5 (hottest)dish. It didn't have any spice. Potstickers were bland, not much flavor. Lighting was very dim. Music was too loud. We'll never return
Im sorry to say that this place was a FAILURE!!!! Ive been following on Instagram and finally took my wife for lunch. The 1 stars is for the cleanliness. The food was mid rice was old cold and absolutely no flavor. You can tell that nothing was made to order. It felt like buffet food ,just we couldn't see the buffet. The food was Most likely made in bulk .I ordered the Arnold Palmer and it tasted Absolutely Gross..Kinda tasted like what a old guava smells like. The Tangerine chicken was cold and bunched in clumps.Needless to say I un followed and will never return. WE ARRIVED AT 12:00 PM AND TOTALLY FELT LIKE THE FOOD WAS ALL LEFTOVERS...MY WIFE HAS DIARRHEA TODAY THE DAY AFTER EATING.
We went to the chins in San Diego. We were a group of 10…they told us they have tables for us but then when we went to ask for a extra menu card, they said we don’t have reservation..before they asked us to wait for 45 minutes..it was frustrating…..then food was like bitter….it seem too much soy sauce….i ordered veggie lo mein soft noodles…
Ordered wings, sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. Zero flavor to any of it. Rice had this interesting taste to it. Very bland food. Extremely overpriced. Wings were tough and again, no flavor.
