Food Was Great! Huge improvement with the new Management. Everything was Delish! The food was just like (maybe better) than the old Dickey's in Dallas. We shared a brisket sandwich and 3-meat platter. They even have new $12 items to attract college students. I was skeptical after reading the reviews but everything is new since last Fall. The manager was super friendly and told us how the new owner is committed to the quality that Dickey's customers expect. We will definitely be back!

We ordered delivery from this Dickey’s and then came in a few days later to eat in. The food was excellent both times. When we came in, we met the owner and he’s an incredibly nice guy working really hard to be successful. The smoked chicken was our favorite meat…so tender and flavorful. My favorite sides were macaroni and cheese and fried okra…both were amazing. The fried okra was phenomenal even when delivered to us (30 minutes away from the location) which is why we came back to eat in and as you can imagine, eating the fried okra fresh on site was amazing. Best bbq food we’ve had in this area.

I feel like there should be new reviews once a new owner takes over. Because let me say, this location has definitely changed. First of, they greet you when you come in, they suggest food items and honor the coupons they send (previous management made it so difficult, like why even send them 😂). Prices are so reasonable and the employees are efficient in bringing your food. Everything was honestly yummy. It's fresh! I guess the only thing I suggest is providing a bit more sauce? I felt so limited when eating my sandwich.

The cashier was the sweetest and very helpful! The food was great! The pork was soft and tender and the bbq sauce was delicious, I recommend the spicy one! Definitely will be back!!

Picked up BBQ here today. Got some turkey, chicken, and pulled pork. Haven't tried the pork yet. But the poultry was delicious and moist. Poultry is very difficult to get right on a pitt. And they did it right. I am UTTERLY AMAZED at the smoke profile that was achieved. They use a pellet smoker there and getting a rich smoke profile is also difficult with that. They got it right across the board. When I don't feel like doing it myself, this is where I am going to get it.

What a nice find out here in San Marcos!! The food, service, decor, and even the tunes were good! I had the pulled pork slider, which was overflowing with delicious smoked meat. It came with a side, so I got the creamy cole slaw, and that was made just the way I like it. I want to try their brisket next time!

I recently visited this establishment and was thoroughly disappointed. The two-meat plate with a drink was overpriced at $30. The jalapeño cheddar sausage tasted like something from a store-bought package, and the turkey breast was dry. The only redeeming qualities were the barbecue sauce and mac & cheese, which unfortunately tasted like it came from the frozen section. Needless to say, I won't be returning.

I then watched lettuce being pulled from the store bag, not rinsed or washed, cut on a metal tray and throw into a chili bowl container and topped with some chicken. They pulled the pork from the hot box and threw it in a box and apologized for the wait. I had to ask where the sides of potato and coleslaw were, it was forgotten. They quickly threw it together. I then went to the bbq selection to grab some to go, only to find it cold and the steam tray not working. For $30 I was highly disappointed in the experience. From service, to order fulfillment, to quality.
