Had dinner at Cheddar's the other night. Even though it's in my neighborhood, I'd never stopped in. Looking for something different, my wife and I decided to go. I was pleasantly surprised that the meal was very tasteful and the service was excellent. I'm certainly adding it to our restaurant list. I'd recommend it to family and friends. Enjoy!

I enjoy this franchise! I hadn't been until I moved to Austin, TX. It's a great environment for singles, couples, and families. I especially like sitting at the bar to watch the latest sporting events. I've been there several times, and the bartender, Cory, does a fantastic job, whether it's busy or not. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I typically order the ribeye, but the bourbon-glazed salmon is also fantastic. Overall, it's a great value with a great atmosphere, and they are quick in the kitchen as well.

The staff work very hard! Food is great! Pricing is great! We love Cheddars!!! Some people’s expectations seem a little high in other reviews?? They obviously suffer with staffing at times like any establishment these days. Our waitress was very busy but did an excellent job to her abilities with everything she was being tasked to do. We had a lovely evening and were totally ok with a little extra wait time. Everything we ate was fantastic for us 💙

First thing I noticed about Cheddar's was how clean it was. The tables/booths were clean and spacious and lighting was just right. We ordered the appetizer combo plate and the servings were generous and delicious. I ordered a cheeseburger and my husband got the homemade chicken pot pie. Both were very good. I must mention that before we ordered we were each served a warm croissant drizzled with honey butter!! What a nice little surprise to start our meal. We had peach tea and a cola, and refills were served without us having to ask. Cheddar's is a great place for comfort food and has the most pleasant wait staff and front of the house personnel. I mustn't forget to mention the giant fish tank which had an assortment of barbs and a ugly yet elegant plecostamus . We'll be back.

Absolutely delightful experience! Great food with prices that are a good twenty percent below the competition. They were out of Chicken Pot Pie which both my girlfriend and I had wanted. They were very gracious about it, comping a few items for us.

Our server Wade was amazing very attentive, sweet, engaged and kind eyes/ great eye contact. Knowledgeable about the menu, great memory, and all the little things that we need. I got the chicken fried chicken. It was delicious. Just a little salty. The spinach dip is what always brings me back. The cheese fries with the bacon was excellent. The kids got fried shrimp, cheese burger, and chicken tenders. All was excellent only critique I would say is the margarita tasted like it had Sprite in it, I would not order that again. Was not a real margarita.

We always stop here on our way back from Austin. My son enjoys the big fish tank. The food is always excellent from our experience. I always get the Chicken fried Chicken breast (double) and I top it with queso dip instead of the gravy that it originally comes with. It's awesome!

The worst ever. It took about an hour to get our food. They came the kitchen did not receive our order. They were not busy maybe the whole restaurant about a dozen tables and half of them were waiting on their food that the kitchen forgot to cook. For our compensation they gave us croissant what a joke 🤣 😂 😆 🙄. The waitress was nice and the food was ok after we finally received it. We already lost our appetite so we ate a little and took a doggy bag with us . They need to do better.

Several years since I ate at Cheddar’s and the food was great. Sad to see they’re using those stupid table tablet thing to have you pay and trying to get kids to play on and stuff. That’s the only reason I took a star off. Food was awesome, service was great, it looked exactly like I remember Cheddar’s restaurants looking like. Everything on their menu sounds great. They have some economical lunch deals and they were just enough for me and my wife to get one each and be satisfied. My son had the kids Alfredo pasta and we added chicken to it for him, and it was just as big of a portion as our lunch portions and with the chicken it made it feel like a real sized meal, not a kids side portion like a lot of other restaurants do(Chili’s…that’s you, with actual microwaved Kraft easyMac). Also tasted amazing, definitely wasn’t some generic pasta and sauce from a box/bag(and if it was, please let me know when I can find those boxes/bags). I wish there was one where I live, but it’s too small of a town. We barely have more than a handful of fast foods and like 10 Mexican restaurants. And by the way, the honey butter biscuits are amazing. I remember them having some candied pecans/walnuts on top as well as the honey butter sauce. The ones we got just had sauce, but with all the nut allergies I can see why they removed those especially since that’s their complementary serving of bread.

Just a place to eat. Nothing bad nor outstanding about it. Service was slow. Tea refills were as rare as a white mule with blue spots.

Food was decent, came out quick. Service was great. The menu though... just seems like they're sticking fried chicken and tenders on every plate. Not much of a variety. Still, not bad though.

For the most part, we enjoyed our meal. The coffee wasn't great and my carrots were baked too long and were too soft. The waiter had been excellent until he returned my credit card but did not return the bill. I could not check the total and the suggested tips say it is based on after-tax amounts. Tips should always be based on the pre-tax bill.

Pretty good! Steak was cooked just right, tasted delicious and was super juicy. Cook came out personally to check whether my steak was cooked to my liking. Complimentary croissant with honey butter at the beginning. Waitress was kind enough to ask whether I wanted it or not due to some people being carb conscious. I ordered the Wisconsin Cheese Curds (amazing, so much so I ate them too quickly before I remembered to take a picture), 8 oz steak with chicken tenders, accompanied with souther green beans and cheesy broccoli casserole. Nice and tidy environment. Only downside was the greeter, not very kind and was short with her responses.

Honestly food is Gigi’s for what it is. Was surprised place still have $12 burgers and was satisfied. If you’re expecting some gourmet farm to table - don’t expect it from a place where meals are all under $20. As far as decent food , well priced, quick service and was satisfied in and out - I love this place.

Dropped by Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen with some former students. Thanks to the atmosphere and service, we were able to have an enjoyable get together. My steak was cooked to order and very tasty. My only wish is that they had more Keto friendly options.

We Had a great experience today! Our server was so sweet and attentive—drinks were always topped off without us asking. The menu has tons of comfort food options, which was awesome. I had the chicken fried steak—it was tasty but a little heavy on the breading. The green beans were unexpectedly sweet, which wasn’t quite my thing and felt a bit off for a savory plate. The mashed potatoes were great, though the portion size was small. Overall, the amazing service and cozy food made it a really enjoyable visit. Would definitely come back!

This location has a large free parking lot. There are handicap parking spots near the front door. The front doors are large and can accommodate a wheelchair. There is a large fish tank near the entrance. This is a family friendly restaurant. Servers were polite and prompt. This location can get noisy during their busy times. The bar area has high tables and booths. The food was good but it can be hit or miss at times. The queso with beef was queso with what looked like canned chilli in it. The butter croissants were fresh, hot and super soft. The house salad was delicious! I ate it too fast to get a pic of it. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly.

A popular restaurant serving American and Tex mex fare. We order the fried catfish, a grilled lemon chicken with Caesar salad and loaded potatoes on the side along with some tequila. The catfish was fresh and perfectly cooked and delicious. The chicken while had a good taste was tough and could have been marinated more. The salad was nice and the tequila average. We ordered the loaded fries but had them replaced because the fries were soggy. The tequila had a strand of hair running, on the glass. For both, the restaurant did not hesitate to replace either. Nice place, good seating and decent food.

I have stopped in to this location several times and have been generally impressed with the food and service quality. The menu options cover all the basic eclectic flare. On one recent visit I had a particularly good tender and tasty chicken fried steak. The next time I went it was not as good but was still above average. The wait staff are friendly and engaging, but not overly so like in the film “Office Space” where they are competing over each other’s “flare” however, it is on the border. ;-) Overall this is a good place for times when you simply want a quality meal in a nice air conditioned darkened atmosphere. One last thing, they do have the self Serve/ self pay kiosks which I am not a fan of per se. Pro-tip, just turn it around and you will not have to view all the ads and “attention getters”.

Food was exactly what I expected. Large chain resturants need to maintain consistency so the food has a certain 'made in large batch' generic taste to it. Everything we ordered was alright and I'd definitely go back if I was invited by someone but doubt I'd seek it out by myself. Maybe my taste was neutralized by the exceedingly long wait. 😪

Love cheddar’s food, but the service was really bad. Waiters saw us come in and were hiding and telling us to go home. Person in front was being bossy trying to get us to leave. Atmosphere was uncomfortable for us

Went in around 8:30 and didn't get out till 9:50. Food was nasty and old. Didn't get refills, dirty dishes didn't get picked up. They forgot our salads. One was all wilted and soggy and half empty. The other one was pilled high with like 2 croutons overly dressed. Friend ordered a medium rare steak got a well done. Had to ask for a separate cup of ice for our teas as they were served hot with like 2 remaining ice cubes. There was no toilet paper in the bathrooms. They were a total mess. Disgusting. There was an awful smell of beer or liquor on the floor that kept wafting towards us. Were the kind of people that like to go and order, eat and leave. We weren't planning on staying long. The majority of our visit we spent waiting. We when used the call server button on the kiosk. Still took them forever.

Friendly staff. Place was clean and comfortable. I had the Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and green beans and white gravy. It was okay. Not the best or worst. Mashed potatoes were a little thin but tasted fine. The green beans were a little too salty for my taste. My wife had fried shrimp and french fries. She said it was okay. Fries seemed a bit old. I had the strawberry lemonade. It was great. Not in a hurry to get back.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The butter croissant was absolutely delicious, and the best part is it was free! The beer-battered shrimp was also good. However, I was disappointed with the chicken Alfredo pasta. I've had it before and it was great, but today it didn't meet my expectations. On a positive note, the server was amazing and friendly, which made the visit more enjoyable. I hope the pasta improves next time, but overall, it's still a place worth visiting for the other items and excellent service.

On august 17/2025 , I got discriminated for being hispanic/mexican. My server was a black african american man, ,He was rude and very unprofessional. If you’re hispanic or latino watch out before you go to this place,just because of your skin color you get discriminated.

Ordered fried catfish and shrimp. Both had literally NO seasoning. Not a drop. Not good at all as a result.

I grew up going to Cheddar's through high school and most of my adult life with family, and it's definitely been a while since I had visited. It was honestly concerning to come to Cheddar's and it not be busy. I get that it was a Monday, but it's always been busy in the past. What I was not expecting is watered down strawberry lemonade (that legit tasted like strawberries in water), sub par service and ok-ish food. I think we saw our server 3 times in what felt like it took forever between refills and food delivery. What was also shocking is for a place that prides themselves on their honey butter croissants, would willing serve non-risen, flat croissants passing them off as "overproved". When our food did come (20 minutes after we ordered), I did not have any complaints, but my husband had no sauce for his fish, and his side salad came almost at the end of the meal. The same side salad was massive and his baked potato was overdone, but somehow the cheese wasn't "melty". Somewhere, in the middle of of our meal, we all requested refills. The boxes for the food that we decided to take home, came before our refills. My husband and I both took a sip of our strawberry lemonades and it burned. We weren't sure if it was a "that lemonade is so tart that it burns" or "that lemonade tastes almost alcoholic, it burns". I took another sip, and it burned again, which coming from someone who is a recovering alcoholic and from someone who doesn't drink is a huge punch in the face. The $86 price tag on 4 people was not worth waiting for 20+ minutes of flat croissants and practically no service.

I have typically avoided Cheddars but decided to give this location a chance. It wasn’t busy but it was quite some time before I saw a server. A woman came flying around the corner with four plates and four rolls. She stopped and stared at me. ‘Oh they told me they just seated a four top.’ I told her it was just me. She stood there a bit trying to to figure it out then left after checking on another table. Oooohhhhhhkay. Eventually she came back with one roll and took my drink order. I ordered food too because there’s no telling when she’d return. I was about to leave when she finally brought my tea. That was the last I saw of her, at my table anyway. The food was unremarkable. I don’t even recall what I ordered. I used the table kiosk to pay and left. Will not be back.

Arrived at 1:30 and was seated in a booth in the bar. No one came by for 30 minutes. Ordered drink and food at the same time. Didn't receive drinks or food until 45 minutes later! Food was what's it's always been. 09/28/2025, booth 103.

Food was pretty decent but the service was bad considering the server had an attitude and didn’t tell us that there was a small tablet like screen hidden behind the sauces and napkins that had our check on it so we were waiting around for 30 minutes after we finished.

Do not get the new beef tips with mushrooms, onions and mashed. The tips are the end pieces of steak. They are fatty, hard and chewy. So disappointing. They rest of it is good, minus the meat. So, 😢

Picked up my to go order yesterday so I didn’t see the chips until I made it home. Are yall trying to kill me??? This is an insane amount of salt, I had to throw them away since they tasted like an entire bottle of salt was purposely poured on them.

Sadly I have a really bad experience today at this location! First time at this Cheddar and was horrible! Starting with the server , he was like out at the space , then our food get cold at the table , and server don't remove the empty dishes out of table! We ask for something and he always forgot about what you ask! Taste of food was delicious! Steak just how we ask! But was cold as i say! Anyway thanks!

The righteous spent her time talking to 4 a good guys. She went to their table 8 times. It took 30 minutes for our food. We saw our waitress 3 times.

Restaurant wasn't busy and service was really bad. Food wasn't great. Our server took our order and we didn't see her again for 40 minutes everyone at the table had an empty drink and we had to flag the server down because we Ordered a dessert on the kiosk and it never came. Someone else brought the dessert out and I told them that what they brought out wasn't what we ordered and she just ignored me and walked away.

Staff was nice. Onion rings were too salty for me to eat and I like salt. I couldn't eat them. I ordered a small steak, carrots and broccoli to go. The broccoli was way over cooked. The steak was to be medium. It was medium well, I would say. The steak had too much salt (not as bad as the onion rings) and a ton of pepper. The carrots were just fine. Atmosphere...it was really cold.

Typical chain restaurant but where this one hits the low mark is related to service. Last experience we had involved getting our drinks & apps delivered to the table and mains ordered and thats where everything went left. Server MIA for at least 30 min., table of 4 who was seated and ordered after our order was taken, received their food before we ever did. Server had another person start helping her but they both ignored our table, i.e. no refils, explanation for the delay, nothing. Never received our food before we decided it was time to pay for our drinks and leave. We asked to speak to the manager on duty and this was telling of why the service was in the poor state that it is. Manager took a long while to come and talk to us and was full of excuses/lies as to her delay. Mind you this was at a time where the restaurant was not overly busy at all. Long story short, if you want to experience lackluster service and aloof leadership this is the place for you.

First time I’ve ever been here. Came in for a company holiday lunch yesterday. I can’t say that I’ll return, Cheddar’s just doesn’t have me begging for more. Asked for a medium steak, and it came to me well-done 😱. Took a long time to get our food (understandably since there were 15 of us), I ate my meal because I was so darn hungry and didn’t want to wait for a new one. The “discount” given was nothing to write home about. Two of my coworkers reportedly felt sick today and stayed home. The only good item were the honey butter croissants 🥐 . I just won’t be back and won’t recommend it to my friends.

The food quality at cheddars has definitely changed, not the same place I used to love and food portions are significantly smaller not worth it no more 😢 and my food was over cooked/ burnt I guess the people at this location don't care about giving a good service

My last time at this location I received the worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. The waitress never brought us any drinks, took any of our order except for an appetizer, and only brought the appetizer out. As soon as we were sat down, she told us they were really busy and we might not get our food for a while. We ended up leaving before we got our meals.

I was in Austin for the weekend to attend a conference. My wife, daughter and grandson got in on the trip. My grandson is a picky eater so we chose a restaurant that we knew he would like. The initial manager greeted us made it very inviting. We were seated no need to wait give me my "painkiller!!!" I ordered the glazed pork chop with mash potatoes... "NO MASH POTATOES"... Next option red beans and rice and seasoned rice... Wife ordered a triple sampler something simple.... tenders, cheese dip added the beef and spinach dip.... dint matter hell I wanted my painkiller.... hell wanted my limit of 2 to be honest... Wife food came cheese cold, tenders over cooked, and spinach dip met expectations. But my chops 😫... over cooked red beans .... no rice .... I had to replace the red beans no rice with the small amount of seasoned rice ... I mean very small amount... didn't matter hell I was half way finished with painkiller#1... time to place my second order painkiller #2 ... on the way...Damn the tasted better than number #1 ... because it had an added brown fly .... you can tell it was toasted with the coconut.... any long story short extremely dissatisfied with my experience and Cheddar's didn't step up to the plate

I used to LOVE everything about Cheddars! From their friendly staff to the amazing food to the bomb crossaints;! But that location got it all wrong! Staff looked brand new. Left us alone seated in the bar for 20 mins. We had the put the bat signal on to get him to come back. Bless his heart, that baby brought me the dryest, toughest, medium rare ribeye I have ever had! The rolls were so cold that the butter wouldn't melt on them! And the green beans.... the green bean were boiled with SUGAR! It singlehandedly ruin my entire night.

Clean place, hostess friendly, waiter needs additional training... Needs to learn service industry is what you signed on to do.... Acting job... You pretend... To care, did ok in interacting.... But service was terrible F- couldn't remember who had tea, Dr pepper etc. Much less food ordered... Salads are brought out but no silverware...I kid you Not.. Waited at least 15 mins... One of our guest he got up to go find silverware.... Food, I ordered steak, was over cooked, a lil charred on the outside, ordered 57 and A1, instead received 57 and tobasco sauce...I didn't receive silverware... Waited a while to receive refill on tea... Finally towards the end of our meal, the croissants were brought to our table, had to remind waiter we didn't receive. In all my guests paided for their meals and I paid for 4 adults and 2 children... The price I paid was ok... Not worth the money I spent... Had drinks at chuy's before Cheddar's should of just eaten there... Instead of insisting on my guests trying Cheddar's....

The service was horrible my server never gave us straws I had to get up and ask for them then I had to keep getting my servers attention it’s the Mangers fault you can hear him say “sorry I sent the bussers home” then when I ordered my food I didn’t know it was suppose to come with side until my gf asked about it good food tho I got the meatloaf with brown gravy dine at your own risk

Worst experience ever!!!! Our server did absolutely nothing for us except walk 3 out of 4 people's food. It took her almost 25 min to get to our table. A shift mgr did come take a drink order about 8 min after we were seated & she also took our food order a bit later. Initially there were 3 of us dining in but a 4th person joined us shortly after our food had been dropped off. Nobody greeted the 4th person. Eventually I found someone to get a drink order but they never returned with his beverage. He was on his lunch hour so there was a time constraint, as there was with us, as my dad was in town for an appt with his ophthalmologist. The person joining needed a menu but we couldn't find anyone to bring him one. I had to leave the table & go to the host stand & request the mgr just to get a food order placed. The food all together was pretty good EXCEPT one of my sides was cooked the exact opposite of what I requested & this was AFTER the mgr & I had discussed in great detail how I wanted it prepared. No one came by to check on us once we were eating, no refills on drinks, & had to ask for a to go beverage. I wanted a fresh mango tea since mine was obviously watered down, (2 hrs after I got it), but the mgr brought me an empty cup. Gee thanks. The check was paid by the joiner who was unaware of most of what we had experienced & has never worked as a server. When he went to pay & was told to use the kiosk he simply hit "ok" for all prompts so the server, (who did NOTHING but drop of a few plates), ended up with a very good tip, which I was NOT happy about, but there wasn't much I could do. I will NEVER visit this location again. Period. I drove from outside of Georgetown to meet my parents there & regret it to the fullest. Not seeing my parents but wasting my time, FUEL, & energy on such a horrible experience. I might add this was our Mother's Day get together which only made things worse. NO, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION & AGAIN, I WILL NOT EVER EAT HERE AGAIN. YES, I WILL HOWEVER, SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS.

Unfortunately we did not have a great takeout experience. We visited the pflugerville location just the day before. Our food and service was fantastic. So great that we re ordered the same things once we got home, south Austin. The first thing, the charge was on my card, then released for some odd reason. Then accused my husband of not paying for the food. I screenshot the charge and also the notification that it was released(refunded) and that I needed to re pay for the food. Of course, no problem, I’m just not sure why they have their system set up this way. When my husband arrived with the food, it was the wrong items. The only thing that was correct were the rolls and the side cord for my entree. I called but was left on hold, had to hang up because I had a business call directly after.

Taste like a chilis or apple bees. Ribs were extremely dry. It’s like they were reheated from the day before. Steak was dry. Buttered croissants could have been warmed up as well. Definitely won’t be back.

The restaurant was empty today at 11:30 am. The young person in charge of seating said it would be a 5-10 wait ,because they only had two servers. I think 2 servers can take care of several diners. I'm eating lunch at another restaurant at the moment.

We ordered dinner to go this evening and picked it up promptly as we do not live far from the restaurant and not only was the food cold, but the steak was raw. I called the restaurant informing them that we will bring the food back and I asked for a refund and unfortunately I was not able to receive a transactional receipt stating that I will get a refund which will take up to 10 to 15 days and when speaking to the manager, Ashley, she was kindly asked to sign and date our receipt and to write the word refund and she refused. She very quickly escalated the situation when all that I was trying to do was to get proof and confirmation that I will receive a refund for the food that we did not eat and returned. The restaurant was not very busy so for us to have received this quality of food was extremely disappointing. There was very little to no resolution of the situation from the restaurant or compassion about our experience. We do not plan to return to this restaurant.

At first the service was good, seated immediately. Then we make our order and 50 minutes later saw a Manger, let them know we are still waiting for the food, the food came shortly after. The food was not worth the money. My husband sent his plate back. The Manger came back with the plate and asked what was wrong with it. Probably will not be back, not a good start for a first time visit.

we ordered a to-go order and my husband’s food was completely left out. they gave a partial refund which was appreciated, but then we discovered my soup had no cheese or bacon in it. this is disappointing because i typically like this location. please check your orders before they’re sent out.

I have enjoyed cheddars multiple times at different locations. I have given this location two tries and both instances were overall a bad exercise, borderline terrible. To recap this previous experience, we go in, eager, and ready to eat delicious food. There was a 15 minute wait for a half full restaurant, which was bizarre. We wait about 5 to 10 mins to get service for drink, which already is quite a long time to get service. We place our drink order and place our go to appetizer choice, chips and queso. It takes another 10 minutes to see that a party that was seated after us had received their chips and queso and we had not. I proceed to ask for the appetizer we ordered and was informed it was due to their dishwasher being broken. That wouldn't explain a later party receiving an exact order we had sooner. We receive the appetizer shortly after complaining and had no issues with it. We had ordered the chicken pot pie and steak and shrimp. The server forgot to ask for the chicken pot pie side, thus we never received the side. Even after being confronted by a manager about why we didnt get a side and telling him that we weren't asked, they still did not bring one out. Now irregardless of the poor service, how was the actual food? Terrible to say the least. The steak had an incredibly funky taste. Almost tasted as if it was 1 or 2 days away from being completely spoiled. The first bite was completely off-putting and made me immediately not want to continue eating. The shrimp was soggy, which is unexpected of fried shrimp. The chicken pot pie with the missing side was just flavorless mush. Im not one to complain but this really stunk up our afternoon plans. I did get refunded for my steak and shrimp, however I did not want any exchanges or substitutions as I felt like their entire kitchen was disordered, and I was questioning the quality of their ingredients. All in all, I live 5 mins from this location, and I would rather travel to the north location, which is fantastic, before I ever step foot in this establishment again.

Ordered Togo for a 4. My meatloaf was burnt and rock hard. We were missing the queso from the chips and queso, Tatar sauce for the shrimp, and silverware requested. My broccoli cheese casserole was fine the other two in the kids shrimp and the monte cristo looked like it was white rice in steamed broccoli and nothing else. There was no fixings for the potato in the other monte cristo. Just an all over crappy experience.
