I usually get the Szechuan Tofu lunch here and pay a little extra for steamed vegetables instead of rice. It comes with soup or salad - I usually get the salad. If ordered without meat, this is a delicious vegetarian meal! Note: The tofu dish already has peas, snow peas and carrots. The added vegetables - usually broccoli, cabbage, celery, etc. are also very good. The prices are inexpensive and the staff are very pleasant.
Food was delicious! The portions were big enough to share and the prices were very reasonable. Staff was kind. Bathrooms were clean.
We love this place. We order take out. The servings are VERY generous. We always get the Chicken and Veggies and the veggies are plentiful. Our order is always ready on time, about 20 minutes. I've never eaten in the restaurant.
This is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant. They started out as more of a lunch shop but since their move across the parking lot, they also work very well for dinner. The food is always amazing. My favorite is the sesame chicken, but I've yet to taste a dish i didn't like. It's very obvious that the food is freshly made because it's always hot, and anything that has a fried component is still nice and crisp, even in a sauce (such as their amazing honey-walnut shrimp). This is the only place I've been where even sweet and sour chicken was crispy and delicious.
Delicious food! I've come back year after year and the food is consistently top notch. I always have the Honey Nut Walnut Shrimp and Fried Rice. They are served in family style portions so bring a friend or two!
awesome place! the whoton soup is very delicious and exactly what you would need to keep your stomach happy and comfortable. Very good customer service. tasty, healthy food at reasonable prices. Everything very fresh and hot!
Been here four times. I can barely understand the guy who takes the orders, the guys in the kitchen are always banging pots and pans around and it sounds like they're fighting. It's awesome. Oh, and the food is really great, especially the Orange chicken.
Every time here it's been a very good experience with great food to choose from. If you're taking food out or sitting down it's worth the trip to this restaurant.
The food is really affordable, super delicious, and the front of house person is incredibly kind. I can’t wait to return!
We had heard about Iron Wok from our son and decided to try them out. The food was very fresh, very hot (heat wise) and quickly served. The Beef with Seasonal Vegetables was excellent; crisp vegetables and well seasoned beef. Excellent sesame chicken. The staff was courteous and friendly and very attentive. Iron Wok is definitely top of our list for Asian Cuisine.
Great service. The gals worked with my request and asked the chef's if they could make my request and they did! Excellent food, very tasty and good size portions. Weekday lunch specials starting at $7.99.
Always great taste and fresh. Once of the best place for made to order Chinese food. There have few ownership changes but the quality remains the same. You can ask to add chicken breast instead of dark meat and also choice for brown rice. There are several dish dishes that are pretty healthy. Most items are greesy as some of the other places. Have discent lunch specials also. Love the fact they give you real plates and utensils when you eat there.
I live in Palmdale and no good Chinese there. Ok, got a LOT of food for 25 bucks here and it was excellent. Chicken egg rolls were full of chicken and fried, as funny as it sounds, very well. Dark but not burnt and no oily crust. The food was just flavorful and not cookie cutter.
This is my second time ordering from this restaurant and it keeps getting better! The portions are incredibly generous, food is delicious, prices are very affordable, and the staff are very sweet. Please support this local shop! You won’t regret it. :)
Positive Disclaimer: this is a quintessential working class, somewhat greasy, American-Chinese food restaurant, and that’s what makes it perfect! Came for lunch. Got the pork chowmein entre. This came with a side of friend rice, one small egg roll, and a cup of egg drop soup. First of all, the timing these came out were really fast. And the temperature was piping hot! Maybe a little too hot but that goes to show they make it right then and dish it out. Flavors were great! Only had one server for the whole floor and she was doing well to keep up. Just running around with her hair on fire.
Great Asian Place! A hidden gem and must try!
This has got to be the best hot sour soup I've had. Love me some hot sour soup. The flavor was soo good. Had a great lunch service was so pleasant. Definitely found my new spot for Asian Cuisine.
this place is absolutely amazing. the food here is so good. the people are friendly and provide fast service. This place does get busy and quality food takes time. A must try: Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken Chow Mein. Don't forget to wash it down with an ice cold Tsing Tao Beer. I assure you I will never dine at Panda Express or Pei Wei ever again, the quality of the food here at Iron Wok far surpasses that of the quality of the other two places listed.
Amazing food! Good service and a wonderful family owned restaurant definitely would recommend if in the area or out of town
We have eaten here back since they were located near the gym! I love their sweet and sour chicken, as well as their chicken chow mein. Support local business!
Very tasty and fresh. Food was prepared really quick. Service was very very good

Everyone is always very friendly and the food tastes good. Don't understand how they can have any bad reviews since the prices are fair too. I recommend trying it!!
The owner is so courteous and warm. Way better food and prices than Chins, in my opinion. They are generous on the portions. I love getting best Chinese food in town right around the corner.
Great food! Everything tastes amazing! Get the house special beef and the garlic chicken and the spicy chicken. My absolute favorite items here!.
You can taste that the ingredients are very fresh, the texture is refreshing, and you can feel the chef's dedication.

This place has a ready menu of freshly made Chinese food. It's not pricey but it is tasty. The prices are good, with a lunch menu of about $8 for a big plate of freshly woked food. Their Boba teas are yummy too. Get there early for lunch because there will be a line out the door at some point!
I have enjoyed this restaurant for over 5 years. The food is excellent and after they moved to their new location a couple of years ago, the atmosphere has elevated. The staff can be very dismissive toward customers and they no longer provide fortune cookies with take out orders. A small item, but just another way of disregarding the customer. With other Chinese restaurants within a few hundred feet, they many save Pennie’s, but lose customers!
Service was decent. I was the only one in there when I went in, so I was helped quick. Got my food pretty quick. But orange chicken I ordered was incredibly sweet. Too much so for me. And they gave me a fork. I can't get chopsticks? Overall pretty good place though.
The wait time I experienced here was soooo loooong, like 25 minutes or something. But the food I got was pretty good. Spicy chicken something. Had a bunch of rice and veggies and was a good level of spice. I ordered chicken egg rolls also, but it was just too much poultry for me -- I probably should have gone with the veggie ones.
We ordered the house special fried rice and crispy chicken for dinner. The new location looks bigger and nicer. When we got home, we found out we got the wrong order - vegetable chow mein instead of the crispy chicken. I was about to call when Iron Wok called to ask if we got the right dishes. I told Daniel I was about to call to let him know. Iron Wok did try to correct the error by driving the crispy chicken to our house, which was a nice thing for them to do. The special fried rice was a bit flat in taste and so, we had to add soy sauce for flavor. The crispy chicken was flavored right with a bit of spiciness to it. Five stars for the extra effort!
We went there as our first customers and had Chicken egg rolls and Steamed soup dumplings as appetizers. Our main course was Chicken kung pao with chow mein and Shrimp kung pao with fried rice, but it wasn't outstanding. However, I enjoyed our appetizers, especially the egg rolls, which had more flavor, and the Steamed dumplings, which were like a soup. I added black sauce and took it in one bite. The service was great, possibly because it wasn't crowded, and the lady who served us was friendly. We even got fortune cookies that tasted like they were five years old when I chewed them, like rubber!
I'm so glad this place, only moved to a different location in rancho bernardo, we ordered the lemon pepper chicken, and crispy pork, it was very good, the sauce was on the side so there for my dish wasn't to wet it was still crispy and hot, lemon garlic pepper chicken was very good, portions are awesome, this place gives you a good portion of product., it's a nice restaurant.
My first trying Iron Wok Chinese cuisine and as a first time customer I am deliciously satisfied. I wanted some authentic Chinese food to soothe me after a long day and found Iron Wok and decided to Order dinner. The House Special chicken w/Lo Mein was the selection for the night. Not only was the portions hearty the flavors danced off my tongue. The soy the garlic amazing. Thank you for dinner and serving the RB community Will be back ! T PS, I work in the area and will refer clients and peers to your restaurant for good eats. Thank you.

the food is okay. my mom and i ordered pork fried rice, cream cheese wontons, the ‘special’ chicken + broccoli and some egg drop soup with chicken. the white rice is good kinda dry though. the special chicken was to chewy and saucy in a way. the soup tasted like rubber. and smelled burnt. the broccoli had a strange taste. and when i went to pick up the food i was told to sign and i put a $2 tip and he kind of rolled his eyes and turned around. just seems like a rude, petty environment. the food is alright. kinda expensive for what you get.
A good place for take out. lunch special is all week and is a good value.the place can use a little tlc and help bussing tables. Food is tasty

Ordered online. Easy peasy. Even had spot for special notes etc. was told price was wrong bring cash to pay up charge Paid up charge and when food came out it was wrong. Showed online order. Some arguing in kitchen ensued. I could hear it all. Remade food. Server was great. Food has changed. Tasted old and grease smell. Disappointed because I wanted it to be good. Last time. I have ordered here over 100 times in 10 years. Miss old location and old cooks.
Two times in a row now we order online and it says 45 minutes and an hour later there are no text updates and no food. We call and it takes them a while to find the order and the they say it is on the way. It is obvious that they haven't even started it yet. The food is usually good but 2 of the 3 entrees we ordered were not very good at all. Maybe under new management? Too bad. They used to be one of our go to options. Gave food three stars because it used to be very good. Not the last two times.

Food is decent not great or unique. The prices on their website are not correct when I ordered. Told that’s an old website. With the prices they gave me per item, they still overcharged me $6.09 on a order that should have been $26.70. I can handle average food, but don’t like being overcharged for it.
The food is good- but only eat IN the restaurant. They totally messed up take-out orders 3 times. No apologies from them for my totally wrong meal. At least if you're sitting down there you can make sure you get the right food!
Our Son who typically has good taste told us about this restaurant. Went there for lunch on a Sunday after church. After being seated we were asked what we would like to drink, we all asked for water… took a long time to get our drinks. We waited almost 15 minutes to place our order. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings as an appetizer… the wings were so so , to crispy. We then ordered the house special chow mein the house special beef and shrimp fried rice. The chow mein was pretty good not enough vegetables. The beef was not good at all, as it was pretty much like beef jerky and looked nothing like the pictures. The shrimp fried rice was actually very good!! Overall we felt the service was poor, as it took forever for everything. When I got home I looked them up online and found a lot of poor reviews especially about the service. Many people complained about the prices on their website are lower than what they are in the restaurant. I looked at what we had ordered and the prices are misrepresented on the website. Many people complained about being treated rudely… we were treated very well just poor service. We will not be going back but think you should try for yourself as we only have this one visit to rate them on.
I went and ordered online to get the Fried noodles with beef. I didn't realize as soon as I got the order that the noodles looked like a fried birds nest than the one I expected from most fried noodles dishes. I reported that I wasn't satisfied and the person from the restaurant called me and explained the differences but sounded he wasn't willing to give me my return nor give a coupon or discount for the confusion. There was no pictures to know the differences and I didn't had the time to call them to ask due to time constraints of my job. I ordered online because it was faster and convenient during my lunch break. I wasted almost 15 dollars for a mistake and not a single attempt to give me a discount or a free item because of this. Heck when I picked it up there was no one at the front counter to make sure I got my order. Just as one reviewer previously stated, they don't apologize and express like it your fault. First and last time to come here.
This was the worst Asian restaurant I have ever been to. The service was extremely slow, and the food was horrible. I ordered Orange Chicken. It was a large serving, but the pieces were all very small, and all breading. Very dry too. The only reason we went to this restaurant was because we saw it had 4 stars. I was shocked after eating there.
Went there today for lunch. Heard some good things about this restaurant. We ordered egg rolls and the House Special Chow Mein with two soft drinks. Unfortunately the highlight of our meal was the 2 soft drinks. The egg rolls were stuffed with a mushy chicken filling which lacked any cabbage or vegtables. Not to mention taste. Our House Chow Mein had maybe 1/2 a celery stalk and a sparse sprinkling of cabbage. The disappointing fact was that the dish had no flavor. I put soy sauce, hot mustard chili oil...anything to impart some flavor. In the end I opted to bring it home and will try to doctor it up. I don't like to complain so I asked for the check thinking that at least the fortune cookie would be good...I mean how do you mess up a fortune cookie?? Well...we received 2 stale unedible cookies....come on! RB needs a good Chinese restaurant however it seems the Iron Wok is not it...at least for lunch.
Worst Chinese food I've had in my 62 years, no exaggeration. Badly flavored sauces, barely any broccoli OR beef in the Broccoli Beef dish (full of carrots, zucchini, celery, etc. instead). Very few (maybe 8) cashews in the Cashew Chicken, which was also full of filler veggies. Egg rolls were like warm paste. Absolutely horrible.
I usually only write positive reviews since I myself work in the food industry but I just had to write a review because this manager is HORRIBLE and should never be allowed to manage anything. The young man who took our order under charged us and she went crazy, embarrassing him in front of us making him think he's dumb for making a mistake. You should never talk to employees like this or any person for that matter. The food was great but they need better management.
The food was average, but the customer service was terrible. We ordered several dinners and when I got my order it didn’t appear to be what I ordered. When I asked to confirm that I got the correct entree the employee seemed put out and was very rude. After some of our food arrived I realized we still hadn’t gotten an appetizer or two orders of fried rice. When I went to the counter to ask I again got treated poorly and the servers made it seem like I was wrong. Even after finishing our meal and preparing to leave I still never got the appetizer that I paid for. I would look elsewhere for your dining options.
I just ordered $60.00 worth of food for my family and they had the nerve to put one piece of shrimp in my fried rice. I called to let the manager know what happened and I was met with an argumentative and disrespectful manager that tells me there is no way there was one shrimp in my rice. I am not one to complain and put up reviews but I had to do something after this. Please beware of being ripped off by the rude and disrespectful management there. I will NEVER AND I mean NEVER order from them again. SHAME ON YOU IRON WOK!!!😠😠😠
Was craving Chinese food, and saw that this restaurant was close by. I sought out reviews on a neighborhood/community Facebook page and was warned about them up-charging. Against my better judgement, I decided to give them a try. I saw their online menu prices were a bit cheaper than the store menu prices. When I went to place my order, I pointed this out, the woman working there did not want to honor the online menu prices, suggesting that they haven’t updated their online menu. I said I understand but since your advertising an online price, you should honor this. She got very upset, began yelling and didn’t like I was asking questions. shooed me out of the store. She was incredibly rude. I would never recommend this place. Avoid this place!
Ordered dinner for two over the phone for delivery. Paid $61. Sweet and sour pork was over cooked and dry with sauce on the side. Rubber!!!! Our meal was delivered cold, taste like cheap fast food – dropped to garbage!!!! The price is not adequate the quality. Waste of money and time!!! Call them to complain, sent pictures—no response. No receipt was given on delivery. Will file dispute with my credit card.

Don’t waist your money I got ripped off and lady was not nice at all. She over charged me for rice and for chow mein for the lunch special l.
Very bad customer service. I called today to place an order and one of the employees answered. I ordered the house friend rice that I always order, and the employee was asking me which one I wanted. I explained that I am a regular customer there, and have been a regular customer there for 3 years now, and the employee said that I need to make my decision what I want and just hung up the phone on me. I called back to speak to the owner, because the owner knows me to explain to her what happened, and the employee just picked up the phone and hung up on me. Very sad to leave a restaurant that I have been going to for 3 years, but time to find another chine restaurant to take my business to.
