Great Mexican food. Their hash brown breakfast burrito is the best I’ve founded SD. The carne asada quesadilla is also a favorite. Clean atmosphere and huge portions. Very good. Gallego’s is one of the things I miss most about living in City Heights.

Best Mexican food in City Heights. Great camarones dishes except they leave the shells on. It looks fancy but makes for messy eating.

MY MOST FAVORITE TACO SHOP IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. #1 Caldo de Rez is the most nutritious and is enough for two people, I can Never finish it lol. #2 Gallegos Torta it’s SO FAT! #3 Liver and Onions SO SO Good for you with sprinkled lemon and salsa verde. My daughters love the HUGE CARNE ASADA FRIES AND ROLLED TACOS. This place makes me not wanna cook lol 😂

I use to live in this restaurant's location and was then and still is my favorite. I'll go out of my way to come here for their food and all the employees are quick and friendly.

It's a great place for original mexican cooking. Every body is so nice I've been eating at Gallegos for more than 7 years more or less. They treat you like family. You have to stop by and have a big bowl of menudo or caldo de res, it's the best

U can call ur order ahead of time like 15 min so when u get there ur food is ready don't need to wait in line I love there customer service always very friendly the owner when his there he will come out and check if everything is OK very humble over all I love these place and recommend 100% delicious food

I only had a few things here but what I have eaten it had always been very good. The Birria noodles are really good and flavorful. The Queso Birria tacos are good as well.

The food is delicious and the service is excellent but the place was not very clean.

The food is great, if a bit overpriced. The place looks small from the outside, but has a surprising amount of seating area. Ordering over the phone can be a bit of an issue, as I've had the person on the other end get distracted more than once and get my order wrong.

This is a great place for quick service they offer huge burrito's that are really good and not greasy. My personal fave carne assada w/fries (this meal can feed 2). Everything on menu is available for take out also. I have don't know why but they add a 50 cent charge if you use credit or debit cards that they don't charge if paying cash. Staff are friendly the place is clean. Hope my review gives you a good experience if you dine here.

Food is very delicious but the atmosphere is not that good. You can enjoy the food but barely enjoy the time spent there.

Great food and really good portions. I had the fried tilapia and it was slightly over cooked but all in all great food. I will definitely come back and recommend to everyone.

There's quite a lot of seating here, there's a good menu at fair prices. The staff is nice and the food came out pretty quickly, but that depends on what you order and how many people are there. I only got a breakfast burrito, with beans, eggs, potatoes, cheese. They use fries, but seem more fresh cut that the oily type. For the price, it's a very large burrito, it can be hard to finish. If you dine-in, you also get chips and salsa. There are two types of salsa - a more green salsa with cilantro and onion, and a well blended dark red one. Both are pretty spicy. Overall, this is a good try for a filling meal.

Eat here at least once a week. Very good food but the in house dining experience is poor. Always mess up orders last time my son didn't get his burrito or drink. Plus our water glasses were disgustingly dirty! If you eat here i suggest you call in the order to go. Long waits as if they forgot about you. Besides the dine in experience food is great. Closer than BURRITOS SANTANA- gotta try that place its amazing its near el cajon blvd & 54th st

I used to go for the milanesa de pollo. & this time was nasty. Looked like if it was heated in a microwave & cut the milanesa in half & did 2 plates. Place for me is X

There food is alright. I didn't like that the carne asada fries are smaller than any other place, yet it's almost $10. There customer service is good, but only when you're there. Once you leave, they will brush you away if you have a complaint.

Ordered a mixed burrito with extra guacamole that I paid $2.50 extra for. They put dollops of guacamole at each end of the burrito so no matter which side I bit into there would be guacamole. As I ate more I realized there was just shredded beef and beans throughout the rest of the burrito but a dollop of guacamole at the unbitten end of the burrito. Burrito was supposed to come with tomatoes, onions and bellpeppers which it had none of. Check your order before you leave.

The food is really good here but the associated at the front are very rude and disrespectful. They made my chimichangas shredded beef and I asked for carne asada.Thw girl didn't even bother to apologize and corrected me that I asked for shredded beef with an extremely bad attitude, I was going to suffer to wait extra time. Therevwas also ti .i'mes where they have forgotten to put my food in my bag when I do to go orders.Really need to get good nice people to customer service and your business will grow even more .

The rolled tacos are good but overall it's sucks who puts sour cream and beans together like drinking water. You need to smash beans instead liquified beans ridiculous. The sauce aren't even fresh probably are more than a week inside the that fridge. It taste frozen. But what kind of chips don't have option to add salt smh. Plus the tables are made for a king but I don't feel like eating as a king. I'll rather go to Burger King , at least they give me a crown.

Used to love coming here and was doing so and recommending people to go here but now service is just completely awful and they have screwed up my order several times now got burnt carne asada on my Cali burrito. Never coming here anymore totally lost a really loyal customer I was coming here daily for lunch really disappointed me...

Try ordering from their daily special that is on their website which has a the prices, but when I placed my order they charged $2.00 more than advertised. They claim they just raised prices but have not updated website, it is the same story since March when I ordered. FALSE ADVERTISING and they DON'T HONOR the advertised price.

Dirty table's and sticky enamel is fading from wiping down clean. People visiting place are not Mexican so restaurant gets away with food it's serving and claimes to be a Mexican experience of veryety of foods from Mexico. The food is geto food. Frezer to microwave tortillas are hard be for you know it. Presentation is similar to a "Mexican restaurant" money wise $15.00 not bad , excerpt food is not worth it. Stik to a restaurant you know or so Wat normal pepole do if you want Mexican food go to restaurants that are not geto Mexican restaurants. I'll atmit I have stumbled on to good geto food. NOTE: I was younger and fast life I did not care who enterd the establishment wher i was having somthing to eat. This restaurant is not worth taking time to experience the stoped caring know it like a fast food.no Mexicans go the so know one knows Wat to complain about. Mexican food melts in your mouth and it freshly.

Got a burnt torta and called immediately to report problem (takeout) went in two days later to get problem resolved (restaurant not in my area of town) and they did nothing to try to keep this client.
