Great experience and great coffee at chilled out Kind Coffee! The service was super friendly, the coffee was amazing and the Lemon Lavender Matcha Latte was on another level. We also had fantastic avocado toast. They do pastries too. We had our kids with us and they had a great time. Overall a great cafe in downtown San Diego!

Not many places offer just plain (no sugar) ceremonial matcha so this place made me very, very happy. The barista was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Although the menu was not as extensive as other coffee shops, I think having the smaller menu helps highlight what is truly good without the fluff.

Cute new coffee shop, love the updates and new themes! Friendly, nice barista and enjoyed my cortado. Lovely shades of green and very chill, laidback setting inside. They play a lot of music like nirvana / chill new age rock and the like (idk music category names, but you get the idea). They have a whole extra room with tables, which is nice, and outdoor seating facing the beautiful El Cortez.

Last day coffee. Perfect. Sunday morning, it was calm with maybe one person in shop. The barista was in fact, kind, helpful, and the coffee tasted great. There are pastries, alternative milk options, sparkling water for purchase as well as some merchandise and coffee. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The view down to the bay is beautiful. The iced and hot version of the oatmilk lattes were great. No food was purchased but the pastries looked fresh and tempting. I would go back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a cute spot! We stopped into Kind Coffee before heading to the San Diego Zoo and loved it. The shop is small, clean, and really cute you can tell they put a lot of care into the space. We ordered an Americano and an Espresso Tonic, which was totally unique in the best way. The flavors were bright and refreshing, definitely something different from the usual coffee order. The staff was friendly, the pastries looked great, and the whole place has a cozy, calm vibe. So glad we found this place highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area!

So pleasantly surprised with this little place. Cinnamon Coffee was delicious with a hint of salt at the bottom. Hearty Oatmeal was great and warm. Açaí bowl was beautiful and delicious! Thank you 🙌🏼

Amazing coffee!! This was serendipitously located right beside our hotel, and it quickly became our favourite café in San Diego. Delicious coffee, great baristas and pretty cute decor. I ended up getting a bag of coffee for my own espresso experiments. Would definitely visit next time I'm in San Diego🤎

Amazing coffee and space to relax, enjoy a cup of joe and spend time with friends and family. The space is cozy and comfortable with friendly, attentive and "kind" staff. Loved all the lil people and the beanies to keep the plants warm. They have a variety of specialty lattes that are worth trying out with a healthy dose of food/cafe. What we bought: -PassionFruit Matcha Late: different albeit sweet and matcha-ee. We do prefer straight matcha late but this was okay. Is best if you prefer a bit of sweetness to your matcha. -Honey Cinamon Late: Not too sweet and not too cinamony. It had great depth and just enough sweetness. I was very satisfied. -Acai Bowl: Serving size per fruit and price ratio was fair. Food quality good and helped keep us full till our dinner later in the day. Overall, recommend this coffee place for the great solid roasts, kind staff, and comfortable cozy space. Great for studying, quick meetups, and to hang out with friends and or families. Every time I come here it’s a great experience. The staff are so kind the tea is fabulous and such a warm,cozy and relaxing environment. I really appreciate the staff and their energy. only wish it was open longer so I could spend more of my afternoon but glad they have work life balance !

This coffee shop is walking distance from my house and I absolutely love it every time I come in for coffee. I appreciate their consistency with how my coffee tastes the same every time. The staff is always so nice and kind. It’s also very cute inside and is dog friendly! 10/10 recommend!

If you are looking to grab coffee in SD, go to KIND! Cannot recommend this spot enough! This is one of those special spots that just leaves you feeling good. We stopped here on the way home from a weekend in SD to grab some coffee for the drive. The coffee and pastries were fresh and delicious and the gentleman working the counter was so welcoming and truly went above and beyond for us. We also witnessed him interacting with locals and he was genuinely just so KIND. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in town!

Matcha was grainy, but the service was so excellent. The barista was so nice and altered my drink to the exact preferences. The space was clean, bright, and aesthetic. I definitely loved the little hats on the snake plant!
