For the new year we went to Marie Callender's for our lunch and I'm so glad we did; I forgot what a clean, nice, and yummy restaurant it is! I had the basic all American favorite; pot pie, salad and slice of pie and it was all I could eat all day. We also ordered the breakfast and my daughter couldn't even finish it, that's how big the portions were. The corn bread that they give while you're waiting for your entrée is out of this world especially with the spiced homemade butter! To top it all off, the bill was $26.00! I had to double check everything because I'm not used to getting such a small amount for all the food we ordered. A shout out to Andrea our waitress because she was exceptional! We'll be back soon!

To be honest, I thought this place would be ok, but this place is amazing, with awesome food, decor is ok but nice, and the pies are the best. I would recommend coming with family. 10/10 for me.

It’s a great place for classic dishes like turkey, meatloaf, and shepherd’s pie, some of my favorites. I enjoy meeting family and friends here for brunch since there are plenty of choices, especially because they serve both breakfast and lunch. They could improve their pies, but I do appreciate the complimentary slice during birthday celebrations. Service has always been good.

I think I’m most in love with their pies. Over the years it’s more the nostalgia from the restaurant that I like. Normally the service is awesome but this last night it fell short. The waitress was not attentive to the point that I had to use the salad bar to get my dressing and extra cheese for my potato soup. Honestly the food is not what it used to be which is a shame. I love that they brought the salad bar back but it’s so expensive. I’m just going to stick to their pies

I hadn't been to a Marie Callender's in forever so I suggested it for lunch the other day. I had seen online that they had lunch specials which included a piece of pie for dessert. That sounded pretty good for the price. I decided to order the shepherd's pie with salad and so did my lunch companion. The salad was kind of bland and lacking in dressing although I don't like it when they dump on too much either. They were nice dark greens. The shepherd's pie was much larger than I was expecting. We each only were able to eat half of it and brought the other half home for lunch the next day. It was a little salty but still delicious, I got the key lime pie with graham cracker crust, the main reason I came here, lol. I've been eating this pie since probably the 1970s, the first time I came here but to a different location. It was as delicious as I remember although I remember the graham cracker crust being even thicker and more buttery. All in all we had a great lunch for a great price. We might come back sometime on a Sunday when all the appetizers are half off. That way we can order about four different appetizers and just share them and call it lunch.

It has been so long since we have had Marie Callender's!!! There are none in Arizona, but this was worth it!! The food was as good as I remembered. I had a 3 egg between ya can't, and my wife had a good old-fashioned pot pie. We were here on 3/9/25. A must stop.

Marie Callender's was a solid breakfast spot. I enjoyed scrambled eggs, French toast, and sausage links. Old-school vibe, impressive they're still around. Good value, no complaints. 4/5 stars.

Went here for lunch for the first time and it was very good! We took our 11 month old and the high chair buckle was sticky. The man who showed us to our table said, "let me go hunt for a high chair" which to me, was a sign that they don't get used or cleaned very often. Most of the patrons seem to be older. They are also very wheelchair accessible. The servers were very polite and considerate. Our server, Kari, was extremely considerate when giving us our water while we were looking at our menus, to mention that she could serve our table before giving her attention to a much larger party. I ordered a Lunch combo and chose half sandwich of Marie's Meatloaf and Potato Cheese Soup. My husband ordered the French Dip and Caesars salad. The meatloaf was scrumptious and so was the creamy soup. My daughter loved the soup, too. The French dip and Caesars was okay - kind of bland and just salty. The complimentary cornbread was fluffy and almost dessert-like. The value was also good. Prices were surprisingly appropriate. Marie Callender's is a quality family restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Good American food for decent value. The pies are their specialty....make sure you take a whole one home with you! Also, keep an eye out for pie of the month deals.

Not one person was friendly. The employees didn't even seem to like or know each other. Extremely Extremely slow. Waiter came by a few times and never asked if I wanted more water. Appetizers are half off before 7.... except the one we chose. Found out when I got the check. That was my first and last time there for sure. Pie was good though.

Reviewed based solely on pie and cheesecake. I originally came in to buy a few different slices of flavored pies to try but they had a special going on for $5 off whole pies. I ended up buying a whole cheesecake and chocolate pie instead. The flavors were light, not overly sweet or heavy. I wish the pie crust was a little harder or firm instead of crumbly. The chocolate reminded me of chocolate pudding in a cup. Overall, they were ok.

I chose to go here for my birthday dinner, big mistake. We hadn't been there in a few years, and now I remember why. After our dinner, we decided Marie Callender's is permanently off the list. I chose this place because they have a salad bar. I love a good salad bar, and they are very few and far between since covid. The final decision was that I could get a piece of pie after dinner for my birthday. The salad bar was really sad. The potato cheese soup on the salad bar was extremely salty. My nephew ordered chicken broccoli fettuccine. It was so bland! Maybe if we had put the potato cheese soup on top of his broccoli chicken fettuccine it would have balanced out. My niece ordered the turkey dinner. The vegetables were steamed to death, And the cranberry sauce tasted like jelly. It was so sweet! My other nephew ordered a French dip with onion rings. Too bad we couldn't get any ketchup. Looked around for some wait staff, and no one was there. Finally my sister went in to the server area and got a bottle of ketchup herself. We got through dinner, got to the most exciting part PIE. It just went downhill from there. My favorite is chocolate cream pie. There were five of us, and each of us ordered a different type of pie/dessert. Strangely enough, they all came in bowls. Slices of pie in a bowl not on a plate. Weird, but okay. My chocolate cream pie was all cracked. It wasn't very chocolatey looking. It was brown, but not like a rich chocolatey color. Moreover, it didn't even taste like chocolate. My sister tried a bite, and she said, "If I ate that with my eyes closed, I would have no idea what I was eating." After we all finish dessert, we were kind of thirsty. We had all finished our drinks. Again looked around for some weight stuff and nobody there. My sister got up and once again went and got the picture of water to come fill our glasses. One of the waitresses was inside on her phone. She never even noticed. Shortly after, the white person arrived with our check, of course. Afterwards, we drove next door to DZ Akins. We all got some dessert to go.

Ramiro, the manager who was working Thursday, February 6, 2025, behaved inappropriately towards my mother and I. We went in to eat, ordered a burger with no butter, margarine, or sauce. He brought a burger out with a every greasy bun. When we asked him to change it he insisted we were wrong and said the top of the bun is greasy because of the cheese. When he finally did cancel the burger, he still wanted to charge us $40 for two drinks, one salad bar, and a $6 pie. He then insulted my mother, told her she "just wants to pay for what she pleases" and that she was not welcome to eat there after she said she didn't think it was a fair price to pay. He stormed off and not once asked what he could do to fix a simple mistake. And he never appolagize either. We never raised our voice, we never gave him sas, and we still tipped our waitress. Thank you Araceli for your patience. We are leaving a corporate complaint on the manager and are currently in contact with a lawyer if he refuses service to us next time.

Arizona locations closed so when I'm in California I stop and buy a couple of pies. This trip I purchased two pies one cherry and one rhubarb. The cherry pie bottom was completely burnt black, I did taste the cherry filling and it was way too sweet. The rhubarb pie was cooked correctly but the rhubarb was tough and not very sweet. I guess we've run our course purchasing pies for Marie callender, which is such a shame cuz they were so good.
