Great little Irish Pub with a San Diego twist. Lots of craft beers on tap, and good pub foot. Can be a little line ordering food or drinks, but they handle it as well as they can. Everyone is very friendly and plenty of dogs on the patio area

This bar & grill not only has a great staff, but it also has one of the best beer on tap selections in San Diego. The food is very good too, they have daily specials from beef or chicken tortas, to burgers, spicy tuna sandwiches, almond salads, etc. Making it great for lunch, happy hour, or dinner. Servers Angela and Allie are the best!

Great extensive beer selection, the food is great as well whether you want to eat clean or chow down on some burgers/wings and fries. This is definitely one of the staples of San Diego as far as beer bars go that have an established cult like following. Love coming here!

Great selection of beer on tap. Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. I wish their Buffalo wings were a bit more saucy but they are still good. Go get a pint and a meal you won't be disappointed

Amazing, I've never been fond of 'wings' until now. Had Michele make beer selection for me & was perfect. If you're going out to eat this is a"safe" bet. Man o man I needed to get out.. can't tell you the last time I had such a quality food & she read each situation right, impeccable service with the food to go along with it. Thanks Hans & Michele

I'm updating from 4 stars to 5 because their response to COVID-19 made me feel safe and welcomed. Tables are distanced, masks are required for ordering and going inside to the bathroom. They have also done some renovations that make the bathrooms nicer and the overall look is a bit better. Their food menu is AWESOME! Hubby had a spicy burger, I had a vegan Delux Veggie Melt (no cheese, change to wheat bread). Lots of options to please any palette: Carnivore, Vegan, Gluten Free, Pub Food, literally everything tastes good. Also, great prices! 😍 Our tab had 6 beers, 3 food items, and the total was $67 (before tip). You wont find these prices at the local brewery or beer bar. Come to O'Brien's. - Original Post - O'Briens is a San Diego must-see. The staff is friendly, the owner is present and active, and the beer list always impresses. Good food, great atmosphere. An overall awesome bar... Also, my old review said that the beer was a bit foamy, but I think they've cleaned everything because the beers came out clean and bubbly, not foamy and flat.

Good Irish pub, there are at least 20 beers on tap to choose from, mostly craft. I did not see their bottle menu, beers are on a list with percentage and price. I stopped by here because a nearby restaurant has a gigantic wait list... However the stay here is nice, staff is excellent and crowd here is delightful on a Wednesday night. Indoor you have 4 different TV's on the corners of the bar, there is also outdoor seating as well.

They have a really good beer selection, they have my favorite Belgium beer (Delirium). Food comes out great big portions and tastes fresh. Service is friendly and give a warm welcome. I think the atmosphere can be enhanced a bit with its seating arrangement to being a bit more open and social bar in the later evenings.

Time for a pint! Head to O’Btirns and grab a glass of your favorite beverage, with a good selection of brews and N/A as well. Indoor and patio seating available. Good place to watch your favorite teams and grab a bite. Rotating specials are featured on the board out front. The lot is quite busy as far as parking, so if it’s the weekend and you see a foot on the street snag it!

The food was great and they had a unique craft beer list. Service was friendly. The place is fairly small. There are multiple TVs with different sports, although a couple didn't seem to be working. Parking is horrendous. The bar was ok, but nothing to get overly excited about. It somehow won best bar in America?! If you go there for the first time with that in your head (as I did) you'll be disappointed and confused. Wouldn't even say it's a top 10 bar in San Diego. Still, it's a fine place to grab a beer and some food.

Great selection of beers on draught, especially from the Russian River Brewery. Although it still has that old time dive bar feel except there is no hard liquor being served here. Service may vary depending on the night but they know it doesn't matter as you'll end up coming back anyway.

Nice local pub spot to pop in and grab a beer. Nice selection of local breweries. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly bar keep. It can be a little slow to get your order in but the food comes up quickly. Beer battered fries were great.

We arrived and both workers just stared at us while the restaurant was completely empty. I had to ask if we needed to be seated or be sat. One of the bartenders looked at me like she was mad I interrupted her and replied, "ugh yeah" ugh yeah we can be sat or ugh yeah we needed to be seated. So rude and unprofessional, did not even stay to eat.

You guys seriously need to fix your closing hours. My wife and I came by after checking Google Maps — it says close at 11 p.m. We showed up at 9:30, but your bar staff was rude to my wife and said close at 10. That’s disrespectful and completely misleading to customers.
