Visiting for the weekend and had to get some seafood. This spot has great fresh seafood with a friendly beach atmosphere! I ordered the halibut (fish shop seasoning) with salad. The fish was fresh and the flavor of the seasoning was great. Wasn’t a fan of the citrus vinaigrette dressing as it was way too for a salad. Plenty of healthy and non healthy options. The service is quick and friendly!

Mahi mahi with tradition seasoning, and the salmon with teriyaki glaze! Absolutely was worth it! Got in right when they opened, experience no wait. Loved sitting outside watching what is going on around us. Placed for quite a line very quickly!

1st time here. I got the deep fried halibut fish taco because one of the staff recommended it, which is not on the menu BTW. $8.75. It was fresh but the fish portion was kind of small. It was super good but I'd like to have tasted more of the fish. They have a cup you can buy for $10 and beer refills are only $6 so if you come back, it's worth it. I bought one because I'm coming back to try their other fish tacos. I really want to try their fish and chips and on Thursdays they have $1.25 oysters (super good deal). They play great music and their outdoor seating is expansive for such a small place. 4.95 ⭐ overall. I'm definitely coming back for more

Amazing options with all fresh seafood. Some of our favorite tacos were either the fish shop spices and chipotle glaze, flour tortilla with either diver scallops, red snapper, sea bass or yellow tail. Add avocado Appetizers: Oysters from Jade, WA were amazing, tuna poke can never go wrong and even the fish poppers were knock outs. Highly recommend as it has something for everyone.

Delicious food. Definitely get the fish shop shrimp. We did not really like the halibut. It had a weird texture, but the seasoning was good. We got the blackened seasoning. We also love the tacos definitely go again. One thing that they could improve would be to be more sustainable. They serve with plastic utensils and also plastic plate plates. 😩

This is by far the best and freshest place in SD. The fish and chips is better here than all the other top ranked ones in so cal. Fish tacos are insanely good, packed with flavor, well balanced ingredients, and seafood perfectly cooked I’ve tried 32 other places to date and this beats them all on freshness, flavor, and preparation. 10/10 drive here if you’re anywhere in San Diego for the best of the best. Staff is so kind and helpful every time I go, inside and outside seating. Usually plenty of parking on site or just across the street.

The restaurant was a bit smaller than I expected and took a moment to understand the menu but still has a free experience. We ordered a few amazing dishes to share! Loved the coconut shrimp!

They offer great deals on oyster days, and the oysters were really fresh and delicious. We also liked the clam chowder and ceviche. The fish taco, fish & chips, and ahi poke were not my favorites. However, I didn’t like the ordering style. The staff felt cold, and they didn’t provide utensils unless you asked several times.

Craving oysters? This place has you covered! Big and juicy oysters here that come with the standard fixings. Happy hour oysters on Thursday are a steal for $1.25 starting at 4 pm. They also do an Oyster Shooter too which comes with a small beer to chug. They also serve other seafood too so even if oysters aren’t it thing they they’ll have something else for it seafood cravings.

You can choose which seafood, seasoning, and style (sandwich, taco, plate) you want. We got the red snapper garlic butter tacos and the yellowtail teriyaki plate. The yellowtail was appropriately seasoned. The red snapper was underseasoned. Overall a solid lunch option but nothing to rave about.

Craving clam chowder and found this place on Yelp. Called in my order and was ready when I pulled up. Service was great for call in and food was pretty good. Wouldn’t say it was the best clam chowder I ever had, but it hit the spot. I also tried their fish shop soup, which was also pretty good. Loved the fast casual atmosphere and seems like a cool place to hang and have a beer and some seafood, which I will have to try next time.

We went here for lunch because we wanted fish and it was pretty solid. You order up front and then they bring it to your table. They also have a lot of seating both inside and outside and it looks like a shack almost. We had the poke bowl, the smoked salmon sandwich, and the shrimp ceviche. The poke bowl was very good and had a good amount of meat on it. We wanted a few more wonton chips with it and would have liked it more if the cucumbers were cut up instead of in full slices. But the flavor was good. We also had the smoked salmon sandwich on sourdough bread. While the sandwich itself was good, the bread did not taste like sourdough. The rest of the sandwich was decent. The shrimp ceviche was also good. It was a bit too liquid at the bottom so you were left with a lot of juice at the bottom. The shrimp was super good though and the ceviche itself was tasty. It is a bit spicy so keep that in mind as well. The place has all sorts of fish and overall you won't be disappointed with any of it. But it also is not the most amazing fish place you will go to.

First time as it was on our places to try. Fish and chips was the only thing that was on point. My wife and I each had a taco she had a grilled shrimp taco that the shrimp tasted cold, the tortillas suggested were flour also cold didn't taste freshly prepared. I had the famous TKO taco and the only bite that was good was the last one as it had the fish and flavor, as the rest of the cold flour tortilla and filler. Hoping it was because it was Sunday and things were hectic maybe so ,hoping it is a one off . I heard an employee say to a customer that people come. From the airport or come in before they leave. Me personally after this experience I would rather go to Mr.Pulpo around the corner from my house they definitely know a good taco and Seafood. I would only recommend the fish and chips if ever asked how my experience was . Again never had any seafood taco that was cold very weird. I think this could be a one and done place will see.

Be careful! This place will nickel and dime you. Ordered shrimp & chips And a coleslaw, with a fountain drink to go, which rang 30$. Got home and no chips, so I called them because I know I paid for it. The response? 'We charged you for shrimp and chips (full price), and then charged me $4.95 to SUB a coleslaw, which means you don't get chips as this is how it was rung up'. Tell me how that works? I was going to pay for closelaw regardless so I'm not complaining. I still paid full price for fish and chips but got slighted on the FF? I spoke w a manager but he backed the person who rang the order and shrugged me off. To note, I was never asked if I agreed to be charged $4.95 to sub a coleslaw - they just did it. Had I not called, I would have never known about the additional charges. Confusing and so unnecessary. What a shame. This looks like a place I'd hit up and enjoy- often! If the manager would have said 'Sorry for confusion, we'd like to keep your business and make it right', he'd have won over a new customer.
