Great food! The spicy soy sandwich with fries is better than anything popeye's or chickfila has to offer. The boneless rice chicken is my kids favorite. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is tidy and clean. They are always playing K-pop videos which my daughters love to watch when we eat there. Keep up the great work Rice Chicken!

Excellent fried chicken. Lots of options for sauce/flavor. Garlic spicy soy was fantastic and original was about what you would expect with just a slight hint of spice. The seating is a little tight and it is loud as a result. They also seem to have a pretty standard set of locoalish beers on tap. Glad to have something new, good, and different in PQ.

The honey garlic chicken was delicious, everything was so crispy, and the service was fast and they were very nice. They were able to seat our group of 7 right away. Definitely will be returning!

I ordered Mild boneless chicken for my daughter, which is the only option on the kids' menu. She loved it. It is a generous size for a kids entrée. A lot of chicken bites, crispy and tasty. Fries are good as well. I had the Item 1a on the menu original fried drumsticks and thighs 10pc which is only $19.99 for Tuesday special. It's marked as spicy but actually very mild. Pieces are big and heavy, especially the drumsticks are significantly larger than Popeye's. I ate two pieces and already full. The fried rice skin of the chicken is also crispy. Will try other options on the menu next time.

The original was a bit plain for my taste, so I likely wouldn’t get that again. Radish & coleslaw come with the meal. The service was also very friendly and quick! New to the area. Was craving a chicken sandwich and hit bingo the very first time. Crispy, juicy, and flavorful - everything I wanted! Enough flavors even without the additional sauce - lucky for me because I picked the volcano sauce which was HOT. I also liked that the rice coating on their chicken absorbs less oil.

I ordered the Cup Bap which was a boneless fried chicken rice bowl with corn and cheese. It was pretty good and great value and portion for the price. I think if you’re looking for a filling and cheaper meal off the menu, it’s the best deal. I did get extra cheese though which is a steep additional charge but I honestly don’t think you need to add extra. I also got a Jasmine Milk Tea with boba, it was on the sweeter side but good. The boba itself was a little hard, honestly I didn’t care to fix it and took it as my loss since I don’t typically order boba at restaurants. The woman at the front mentioned it though that it was hard and offered to make me a new one which I took to go. Overall, I’m very pleased and would come back to support!

I have ordered from here multiple times. I never have had a problem with anything. I have a gluten intolerance and this is a great way for me to have fried chicken that is actually crispier than regular. I highly suggest this place, especially if you like spicy. It is not over the top hot, but it has some sting.

The servers and staff seem to be very unorganized and green here. However they are very friendly and helpful once u get their attention. Had to ask for our check from 2 different servers. Also the menu had many thing crossed out or things they no longer served. All that aside the chicken here is super flavorful, crispy, juicy and fresh and is the star attraction. Try the snow chicken if u like spicy and cheesy. Their fired Cajun fries are also very flavored and crispy. Would definitely go back but hope their organization improves.

We came here for dinner on a recent trip to San Diego because my sister and her daughter are GF. The chicken was nice and crispy and retained its heat so well. Even the last piece was still steaming when bitten into. We ordered the 10 piece original spicy thigh and leg and half a spicy soy marinated chicken. We also ordered the kimchi fried rice and the fried tofu bowl. For GF, we ordered the original and half a traditional mild soy. Traditional isn’t breaded at all. We also received a small diced pickled daikon and a coleslaw for free. Flavor: chicken was crispy and juicy. Flavor was good. Soy marinated was a little bit sweet. I felt both the fried rice and fried tofu were lacking in flavor but ok. Service - everyone was very nice and it looked like they were working as fast as they could. All of the food seemed like it was freshly made/fried. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for crispy fried chicken, whether Gluten Free or not.

Some of the best fried chicken in San Diego. Korean style fried chicken. Plenty of tables if you want to eat there while your chicken is hot and crispy. But they also vent the boxes so the steam escapes, and it doesn't get soggy if you take it to go. They have some other korean dishes on the menu besides fried chicken. Get the snow chicken.

Got here and ordered my food. Been here a few years back and knew the food was good but the only thing was that it was expensive. Upon returning today I saw prices were more fair. I ordered a chicken sandwich with the honey garlic sauce and was pleasantly surprised. Tasty and filling. Service was decently slow but reasonably so, it was one lady working and she was busy with other orders and whatnot. She was extremely kind and I couldn’t have asked for a better server.

A go-to family dish is their Well-Being slow-roasted chicken thighs with freshly cut peppers, onion, pickled ginger, and large diameter thin slices of pink pickled daikon. Fast, quality meal option with a decent amount of protein. Recommend upgrading the sauce size, if your group likes even a moderate amount of sauce. The lunch special fried chicken had a generous portion. Recommend ordering some sauce for this dish. The bulgogi bowl included some cabbage to mix up the texture. The dish has one overall flavor with the moderately spicy sauce - so if you enjoy the sauce flavor, it’ll be a good dish for you.

Freshness and quality of fried chicken is not consistency. We noticed when we ordered for take out on promotion deal. The fried chicken weren't fresh and some had bad smell. Price is pricey compare with quality. We stopped ordered Boba Tea because of uncooked Boba.

It seemed slower on a Wed nite so we got good service. The girl at the registered explained the menu since it was our 1st time there. We decided to try the original whole since it was costly for 6 pieces (half). The chicken had a good crunch and was juicy. It was good, not too spicy...but we probably won't get it again because the cost was on the high end for fried chicken.

Fried chicken wings was over.battered and over cooked, tasted dry. Wife had roasted half chicken which was good. Portions were small, $2 per wing section seems a bit high.

First off, Rice Chicken is a decent place for fried chicken, overpriced, but still good fried chicken. A couple things are increasingly irritating about it though. The credit card reader "assumes" you want to tip and asks you how much you want to tip. It doesn't have an option to not tip unless you push the option "other". What is the customer supposed to be tipping for? Driving there and picking it up themselves? Their menu states that Traditional Fried Chicken comes with coleslaw and pickled radish, it used to. Then, to get the coleslaw and pickled radish you had to ask for it. Now the Traditional Fried Chicken does not come with their condiment sized coleslaw and pickled radish included, and they are charging $1 a piece for each item. To me it's the principle. I want to support local businesses, but between their "shady" credit card reader and the "nickel and diming" it's customers for basically nothing, I'd rather go elsewhere. It's not like Rice Chicken is very different from Popeyes... Except for at Popeyes you can get a Family Meal, large side, and 4 biscuits for the same price.

We went twice in the last week... the 1st time, Thursday for lunch was great! We got the roasted chicken sandwich because we are avoiding fried foods... Not spicy at all, except for the sauce. Gave them 5 stars. Then we went yesterday, Sunday for dinner... brought the kids. The sandwiches were so spicy that after one bite both kids were crying from the heat! We had to go get them something else from another restaurant. Too bad they are not consistent. Had to lower the rating.

Update, the quality has significantly dropped. Its not the same chicken anymore. Not as crispy and tasty as it was. Ok, I recomend to ALWAYS ask if people want their chicken spicy or mild. Also, please serve more rice, dont worry I go to gym after this. Otherwise the sweet and spicy marinated chicken is super good! I totally recomend this place to foodies.

The chicken in the sandwich was not cooked all the way... It was gummy. Service was good.

Was not impressed with this establishments food or customer service. The grub hub menu is misleading and overpriced. Online it shows you can buy a half chicken(ours was 17.99) or a whole chicken ($32), both saying 12 pieces. I was surprised to find out once we got our food, there were only 5 pieces of chicken for $18! Even if it was half of 12, it should say that, not 6....because apparently half of 12 is 5... On top of that, the fries were cold. $44 for 10 pieces of subpar chicken and cold fries. Upon calling, the woman who answered was polite but explained there was no manager for me to talk to at that time. Today, I tried calling and no manager again. Now that I'm reading other reviews, it is no surprise that the food was below expectations for its price.. The manager in charge of responding to comments seems to make up excuses instead of apologizing and resolving the situation.
