Was grateful to get a reservation on Valentines Day! My niece called them and they were able to seat a group of us (7) within an hour. Excellent service, and the food was great. Some highlights - the popovers of course, the clam chowder, and my fried chicken was very good. The ambience was both romantic but capable of seating multiple people. Enjoy!
Lunch was excellent. I had the salmon entrée with Brussels sprouts and the lemonade of the day — everything was cooked perfectly. I usually order their famous fried chicken (herb-infused with a crunchy crust and a Meyer lemon finish), but it was nice to try something different. The deviled eggs are also really good. Great service and ambiance, though it can be a bit loud at larger tables. I really like the new location.
We hosted our wedding dinner here, and the experience was seamless from start to finish. The coordinator and sales events team were incredibly helpful in mapping out every detail, which made the afternoon feel smooth and effortless. Upon arrival, our guests were warmly greeted and welcomed, immediately offered drinks at the bar, and guided into the dining experience. The service felt thoughtful and well-paced, allowing us to truly enjoy the moment without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Ava and Andrea, the event sales coordinators, provided thorough and well-designed questionnaires that captured every detail needed to properly accommodate our event. Their process made planning feel organized and stress-free, and it was clear that nothing was overlooked.
Our fifth anniversary was nothing short of magic, and Wayfare Tavern made it unforgettable. ✨ From the moment we walked in, we were met with warmth and grace—three heartfelt “Happy Anniversaries” from the host, our server, and even as we paid the bill. That kind of attention doesn’t just make a dinner—it makes a memory. The interiors were a dream, designed by the ever-talented Jon de la Cruz, a kababayan whose work truly captures both elegance and soul. If you ever dine here, touch the wallpaper. Trust me—it’s art you can feel. Before our meal even began, we were surprised with a complimentary champagne toast, a simple yet profoundly touching gesture. Then came the popover, buttery, golden, and cloud-soft—honestly one of life’s small perfections. We started with Deviled Eggs, and I can confidently say—these were the best I’ve ever had. Each bite was creamy, tangy, and perfectly seasoned. The Tavern Burger arrived, accompanied by dangerously addictive shoestring fries—one bite and I understood why it’s legendary. Then, as a self-proclaimed fried-chicken devotee, the California Fried Chicken took my breath away: crisp, juicy, full of heart, and unmistakably Californian. And to end the savory symphony, the Burrata Whipped Potatoes—so delicate, buttery, and dreamy, they could melt even the coldest heart. Wayfare Tavern isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience, a love letter written in butter, wine, and grace. 🍾✨ Thank you, Chef Tyler Florence and team, for giving our love story the most delicious chapter yet. ❤️ 📸 Photos posted with no filter—just pure authenticity and love for great food.
Great spot for shareable plates. Our waiter was very friendly and personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and even split our burger for us without us asking which was a perfect touch. The hot sauce was delicious on the fried chicken, and the Brussels sprouts were some of the best we’ve had in the city.
Wayfare Tavern is such an incredible spot for a wedding reception — timeless, cozy, and filled with that signature San Francisco charm. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, with the perfect mix of elegance and comfort. The food is phenomenal (truly some of the best I’ve ever had at a wedding!), and the staff is so attentive and welcoming. It photographs beautifully, especially with the moody lighting and vintage details that make it feel like a tucked-away gem in the heart of the city. It’s the perfect place for couples who want a romantic, elevated, yet laid-back celebration.
Great food and service. Small tables, girl in the front just shrugged her shoulders. And said, it's fine for other people. We walked in at 4:30 for dinner on a Sunday night. There were few early diners. It was not exactly rocking and rolling. Tables besides were empty till 6:30. We were trying not to have the other stuff ie: coffee cups sides dishes. Not fall off the table. I ended up putting my saucer coffee next to table beside us. I like to eat my food all together. Our waiter was definitely trained to be attentive and knowledgeable. He got our special order of all white meat on the fried chicken. Of course, with a nominal fee. Dessert was perfectly not too sweet and with a chocolate crust. We will be back. If I get a bigger table for dinner. It is Tyler Florences's restaurant.
Went in without a reservation this past Saturday before Christmas, and the place was absolutely packed—not to mention the ciyy had a power outage earlier, which added to the chaos. Despite all that, two spots opened up at the bar and we happily grabbed them. Our bartender was okay—not overly friendly, but attentive. The other two bartenders, however, were fantastic: great service, fun personalities, and really elevated the experience. When the food arrived, both the cheeseburger and the clam chowder were explosive on the palate—rich, flavorful, and clearly done right. Everything hit the spot. Next time, I’d love to try sitting at a table, but the bar by the kitchen looks like a fun place to eat and people-watch. Overall, it was a really good experience, especially considering we walked in without a reservation. Spent about $95 total (including tip) for two drinks and two dishes, and it felt well worth
Delicious and welcoming. They have the most generous portion of fried chicken, most distinguished clam chowder and decadent desserts.
Dined for lunch and were lucky to visit before they moved to their new location. Great friendly service, rustic old school tavern vibe (at least in this location). Deviled eggs were great to start with. A Yorkshire pudding was served instead of bread which was a nice surprise. Fried Chicken was excellent, moist and a perfect ratio of breading . Tavern burger was very moist and flavorful. Side of cauliflower was excellent.
I had an amazing lunch at Wayfare Tavern’s new location on Pine street today with two colleagues who are also in the hospitality industry. They have made a more than successful move to their new space. The food was exceptional, service exceptional, and pricing reasonable. We sat in a very comfortable banquet near the hotline and enjoyed the show. The restaurant is gorgeous and features both indoor and outdoor seating. We’ll definitely be back again!
This place is solid I would totally take a date here, a parent, a friend visiting. This place is just classic good dinning and the service is incredible. I don’t think I’ve had hospitality like that in a really long time. Get the deviled eggs those are bomb. The steak and fish were mid, but I think if you went for the schnitzel, fried chicken or burger you would be in heaven. Would totally come back!
Had a great time at this place! The food is nice and the service was excellent. The best part of our meal was the dessert! The pastry Chef did an amazing job.
My new favorite restaurant in SF…! Swung by before the Kaws exhibit. Gorgeous cozy space, friendly service, the popovers are addictive and I tried the beef tartare this time 🤤
Wow… So I walked around downtown taking some photos, and I saw this place. No thinking about I walked in and asked for table/ bar seat. Wow… The host greeted me with smile and gave me nice spot by the window (i love it). Maybe bc my camera… maybe bc they are like that… I grabbed attention of one of the managers… I think it was Uri… - great guy, we spoke about SF, food… The food was amazing! I don’t even know… how to describe it but my plate was empty! Delicious? I think something better than that! Recommend!
An absolute gem in the heart of San Francisco! Blue Bottle Coffee delivers a perfect blend of style, flavor, and comfort. The stunning floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with light and offer beautiful city views—making it an ideal spot to unwind, get creative, or dive into work. The vibe is effortlessly cool, the space spacious and thoughtfully laid out. Now, let’s talk taste—every sip of their matcha latte was heavenly, and the blueberry and lemon cakes? Pure delight! The coffee is smooth, bold, and truly addictive. Plus, the staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re popping in for a quick pick-me-up or planning to camp out for a few hours, this place hits every mark. Can’t wait to return!
Good morning Blue Bottle 💙 To the great professional staffing. You all exceeded my expectations. I love the quality of Cafe Mocha. The gentleman that makes the coffee does an excellent job. I have no complaints about the price. Instead I wish the chair was slight comfortable. Instead I do like the benches.I love blue bottle. I haven't ordered food. I am certain it's tasteful.I will be back soon! Thank you all. 😃 Appreciate your service.
A very nice cafe. The views out of the large windows are amazing. The tables are arranged in a very convenient fashion, with plenty of space between them even when fully occupied and all of them have good views out of the windows. The matcha latte was very good and the matcha lemon cake was quite good as well.
I was told that the blue bottle chain is the OG, godfather and almighty mecha of SFO coffee. Wow, this joint did not disappoint! Flawless blend, phenomenal flavor and incredible vibes and tones, unbelievable and one of the best experiences I've had, period. I love this chain, it's truly super yummy coffee and has humble grass roots lifeblood which I can really get behind. I'd happily chug the cold brew cans all day, every day and unbelievably addicted.
This is the most beautiful Blue Bottle Coffee in the financial district. However, it can get very busy during certain hours, and you’ll be waiting more than 20 minutes to get your coffee. Don’t fret! Use the app when you are in a rush and your coffee is ready when you arrive. They often have seasonal drinks and top notch espresso and quality matcha source from Stonemill Matcha (the popular matcha cafe in the Mission). Seating is minimal since it is so popular and this is one of the few cafe with wifi. Truly a rare gem in this city. Another plus is the clean restroom in the builiding.
It’s a franchise, but this blue bottle is in a great location near FiDi and Market Street. It’s a little pricier than Starbucks but the hot coffee is made individually. They also use real spoons and sugar syrup (not sure if that’s the exact term, but it seems better than regular sugar). Non regular milk is extra but they were nice enough to give me a dash of almond milk when I forgot that they didn’t serve those for free.
Before my trip to San Francisco for a short stay I asked my regular Australian coffee barista where to go for good coffee. He recommended Blue Bottle Coffee. He was right. Great espresso coffee, friendly staff and a buzzing atmosphere made for a great experience. Special thanks to Issac for the warm welcome.
Excellent food it was perfect. The portions are shareable and I really really enjoyed the mashed potato Buratta. All the portions are so big. Service Swiss, excellent, attentive, time dwell, very friendly, everybody helped each other during service time. Definitely the highlight of this establishment is the service. Location is great. It’s near the water near the office as well as near the hotel no issues walking there. it’s spacious a bit busy during the time when we went, otherwise we were seated fast and we were perfect in our table.
Cute vibey atmosphere, With a lovely selection of cocktails. We came here for my birthday. Anthony was our waiter and had great professional service, he was kind thoughtful and left a good experience. The food was good, I would appreciate a little more of a flavor profile but nice presentation and cook to all the food.
Same Blue Bottle quality as other locations, in a convenient FiDi location. Comfortable atmosphere and nice staff. It's not the biggest store, but there's sufficient seating.
Stopped by Blue Bottle in SF and had a cappuccino that really hit the spot. The espresso was smooth with a nice depth, and the milk was perfectly textured — creamy without being too heavy. The space itself has that clean, modern Blue Bottle vibe, great for a quick coffee break or to sit and recharge. It’s a busy spot during the workday rush, but the quality is consistent and worth it. A solid go-to if you’re in the Financial District and need a well-made cappuccino.
Awesome location, in the financial district but a bit off to the side of Market St. so not very busy at all (at least it wasn’t busy on Saturday afternoon). It’s a very large, clean location with clean streets outside too. The coffee was absolutely delicious. Only downside is there is no wifi. My verizon hotspot worked decently enough though.
Had a decaf coffee the night before and decided to try its more popular coffee the next day. Hence, avocado toast and New Orleans iced coffee at 630 in a 10 degrees morning. Avocado toast was not too filling, and it tasted like the avocados was flavored with either lemon or lime juice, pepper, and as you can see with tons of paprika too. I really like the New Orleans as well. Service was also good and friendly! Be prepared for a little queue if you're heading down later in the day though. Also, the kitchen closes around 1530 so head down before if you have intentions to try their food!
This narrow, intimate restaurant feels like stepping into a cozy country house - dark wood, rich walls, and plush velvet seating set a dim, moody tone. The service was attentive without being intrusive, with tables cleared promptly and courses timed perfectly. The meal started with complimentary popovers that were crisp on the outside and soft inside. Everything I tried was full of flavor. The clam chowder was rich, creamy, peppery, and loaded with clams, and the cocktail shrimp were generously sized and very fresh. I couldn't finish everything, so they thoughtfully packaged my leftovers, stored them with the hostess, and gave me a claim stub to pick them up on the way out. A great touch that kept the table uncluttered for drinks and dessert. While the ambiance leans upscale, the overall vibe is relaxed and comfortable. I'll definitely be back to try their famous fried chicken.
I’ve been to Wayfare Tavern several times before and have loved each experience until last night. We were seated promptly at our reservation time which was great, however it then took took 10 minutes before anyone talked to us or got us any water. Not the end of the world, but things didn’t exactly pick up from there. The table next to us was extremely loud, that’s not the restaurant’s fault but added to the chaos of the evening. It took more than 20 minutes to get our first drink, and when my wife was given a chance to place her drink order they eventually came back to let her know that they were out of that specific cocktail. Bread showed up around the 30-minute mark, then shortly after our food arrived. From there we went about half an hour without anyone checking in, and no one ever asked how our food was once it arrived. The appetizer selection has always felt a bit underwhelming, but thankfully, the fried chicken was just as good as I remembered. It was crispy and juicy and just overall great. My wife enjoyed her burger and fries. And the macaroni and cheese we ordered to share was great. The food was phenomenal as always which kept this from being a one-star experience.
Though the food, I had the schnitzel, was ok. My friend had the burger and enjoyed it. We split the whipped potatoes. Generally it was fine but underseasonsed for us both. My pork, on the bone, schnitzel was really fatty and non enjoyable in that section of it. Service was fantastic.
Quite terrible. Ridiculously overpriced, even by “stereotypical SF professional cafe” standards. Tea is ok flavor wise, but nothing better than what you can make at home with some slightly-better-than average tea bags, which for $7 it’s a complete scam. The ambience is completely mediocre and the service is bare-minimum. I don’t understand what the value proposition here is or who thinks this deserves anything more than the lowest review score. But worst of all is the fraudulent 4% charge they add in to your already overpriced order, which the reader must be reminded Should be Illegal!
