Opinions de Cafe In The Park San Francisco
Dolores Park Cafe is absolutely fire. The egg sandwich was next level, crispy bacon, juicy tomato, fluffy scrambled eggs, peppery arugula, and melted cheddar layered on buttery, croissant like bread that was perfectly flaky on the outside and soft in the center. Every bite had that ideal balance of richness and freshness. I added a side of tater-tots. The breakfast burrito with chorizo was packed and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice and savoriness hearty without feeling heavy. This came with a side of tots. And the light roast coffee? Bright, smooth, and super clean; the perfect pairing for the chocolate frosted cake donut, which had a tender crumb and just the right amount of sweetness. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out!
I had the best experience at Dolores Park Café. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. The sandwiches are always a great choice, and the hot chocolate is definitely my favorite. The atmosphere is amazing. The music creates the perfect space to work, relax, or simply enjoy the view of the park. It’s such a cozy and welcoming place that you can easily spend hours there. I also want to emphasize how wonderful the staff was. Even though the café was at full capacity, they were incredibly attentive and thoughtful with me, and always kind and welcoming. Their warmth really made the whole experience even better. Overall, I’m completely in love with this café. From the food to the atmosphere and the people, everything about Dolores Park Café makes it a place I’ll always want to come back to.
Their food menu and drinks selection is perfect for a late lunch, and the patio is lovely. Their salads are some of the best I’ve ever had.
Dolores Park Cafe is an absolute must-stop if you’re planning to hang out at Dolores Park. It’s perfectly located and makes it incredibly easy to grab great food and drinks before settling in for a relaxing afternoon in the park. The vibe is casual, welcoming, and exactly what you want in a neighborhood café. The food is really good and ideal for a park day. It’s the kind of place where you can grab lunch without overthinking it and know you’re getting something satisfying and fresh. Everything we tried hit the spot, and it’s easy to see why locals love it. The staff were friendly and helpful, even during busy moments. Ordering was smooth, and the service felt genuine and upbeat, which adds to the overall experience. It’s nice to walk into a place that feels both efficient and warm. I especially recommend their sandwiches and juices—they’re perfect for grabbing to-go and enjoying outside. Fresh, flavorful, and easy to eat while lounging in the park, they really round out the experience. Dolores Park Cafe is a great complement to a day at the park. Good food, friendly staff, and a super convenient location.
This place has the best workers that really highlight what San Francisco is all about! They have an easy and yummy food menu that makes me want to come over and over again! The tuna melt is my fav, HOWEVER THE MICHELADAS ARE TO DIE FOR! 🥳😍 cheers loba! Nicolette gracias por las vibras buenas!!!!!
The divine veggie sandwich is so good, and even though the appearance suggests otherwise it's easy and enjoyable to eat. The coffee is good, it reminds me of the pretentious time I was learning to taste and appreciate coffee. Occasional visitor to SF so I'm loving the view with large windows too.
Popped in for some shade during a pride march. Despite a huge line and tons of activity just outside, the café was relaxed and calm inside. I had a lovely fresh lemonade ($4, not too sweet). The manager took people's drink orders while we waited in line to get ahead of the rush. As a former manager myself, this kind of professional behavior tells me that they value the customer and work hard to build a smooth service experience for staff as well. Seen and appreciated!
Such a gem by the park — traditional and local. Dolores Park Cafe is one of those cozy neighborhood spots that instantly makes you feel at home. The hot chicken sandwich is crispy, flavorful, and just the right kick! Pair it with a great coffee and you're set. The vibe is always relaxed, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or hanging out with friends. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the outdoor seating is perfect for people-watching or soaking up some sunshine. A must-visit if you're at Dolores Park!
The smell when you walk in front invites you to go in and order. I had the Avocado Toast and added the bacon because the smell of bacon was so inviting… The best bacon I had in a long time. I also tasted the Red Eye smoothie, and is delicious. Great place, good food, friendly staff, and not pretentious.
✅ Wi-Fi 🔌- few Dolores Park Cafe is a homey, nostalgic cafe. I think with all the unique spots that are popping up in the mission, Dolores Cafe's old-school diner vibe actually stands out. The prices are very reasonable and the kitchen yelling Spanish to each other was comforting. I had a Cubano and the Lox Scramble. I was very satisfied with both, and flavor-wise, it honestly was nothing special, but it was very comforting. Sometimes less is more and the simplicity was appreciated. Dolores Park Cafe is your next spot for a chance to read that book that's been sitting on your shelf, or to grab something to-go to enjoy at the park. 20/25
Very cute cafe right next to Delores park. Coffee was really tasty! We had a double espresso, decaf skinny iced late, and some pastries. Service was lovely and pastries really good too. Would 100% recommend if in need of a cafe. Said it opens at 7:30am but opens at 7am which was a nice surprise after watching the sunrise!
This place is AMAZING! You get eat very chic food while having a view of the Dolores Park. The service makes the experience even better. Be aware of a nice smile and big welcome once you come inside 😉 The quality of service, vibe and view all together in one place. %100 recommended!!!
I am continually impressed by Dolores Park Cafe! I like to consider myself a regular here, coming in to do some work a couple times a week, and every time I’m here, the food, the service, and the environment is top notch! They’re famous for their delicious Dolores Egg Sandwich(pictured below), but their coffee and pastries are also to die for! I almost always order a Chocolate chip Banana Bread whenever I’m here and am never disappointed! Stop by for sure!
Amazingly delicious and fresh sandwiches and a wonderful view of the park and street corner. I got a special chicken sandwich, the bread was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside to compliment the sauteed mushrooms, chicken, juicy tomato and more. Seriously healthy and fresh food.
I went to this café on Dolores Street for a relaxed Sunday brunch with a friend. We arrived around 1 p.m., and while it wasn’t overly crowded, there were plenty of people hanging out—eating, reading, and soaking in the laid-back weekend vibe. It’s a very casual, deli-style spot. You order at the counter from a menu written on a board, get a number, choose your seat, and they bring the food to you. We decided to sit outside despite the slight chill—it was sunny and lovely, right by Dolores Park, with a very picturesque street-side atmosphere. I ordered the curry-flavored chicken salad sandwich and upgraded the side to soup instead of fries. The soup of the day was lentil, which felt like a good, comforting choice. The sandwich came on a baguette with arugula and bacon, and while it was decent overall, it felt a bit under-seasoned, so it didn’t fully stand out. Still enjoyable, just not memorable. The lentil soup, on the other hand, was hearty and home-style—made with lentils, cauliflower, and carrots, nicely seasoned and very comforting. You could also add hot sauce if you wanted an extra kick. I also ordered a mocha, which turned out to be really good: rich coffee flavor, less milk, pronounced chocolate notes, and just the right level of sweetness. Overall, the food was satisfying and wholesome, but the real highlight here is the vibe and location. It’s a great place to spend a weekend afternoon, especially if you’re looking for healthier options and a relaxed, sunny atmosphere near the park. Highly recommended for a casual, feel-good brunch.
Very lovely place. They are sticklers about the bathroom policy. My friend was mid bathroom excursion, when the staff burst through demanding - "proof of purchase" while all we had was proof of indigestion :/
This place is solid: delectable breakfast and coffees. I am a bit disappointed about their tolerance for allowing non- service dogs in their establishment. I’m particularly upset because it seems like this is allowed with small dogs but not big dogs.(see second photo of lady with the dog on her lap.) During a week in SF I was here and then at the Duboce Park Cafe and there was a dog in there too.
Typical cafe. I got the breakfast burrito it was really good came with fruits. My friend had a hot chicken chiptole sandwich (don't remember the actual name), she didn't like it and it wasn't hot or tasted like chipotle to her. The lavender lemonade green tea kombucha had a super interesting taste. If you don't like kombucha I do not recommend trying it at all you won't enjoy it.
Can't beat the location! Loved bringing my dog to Dolores Park and can definitely see us eating at this cafe again. Got the Egg sandwich (it was just as pretty as the pictures! ) and the Pastrami on Rye. Both were good. Also got a chai latte because it was freezing outside, but next time would definitely opt for their smoothies and juices since they sound fun and delicious. Overall, a great find and nice spot to hang out with friends and your dog.
I had a very disturbing experience at Dolores Street Cafe. I ordered a turkey sandwich, and the turkey immediately tasted unusually salty. When I smelled it, it had a sour, spoiled odor — the unmistakable sign of meat that’s gone bad. I had already eaten most of it by then, which made it even more concerning. A few hours later, I developed nausea, felt uncomfortably full after only a few bites at dinner, and then became extremely bloated. These are classic foodborne illness symptoms, which strongly suggests they served me spoiled meat. This is more than a bad meal — it’s a serious public health risk. Serving spoiled turkey is unacceptable and dangerous. No customer should have to worry about food poisoning after eating here. Management needs to take immediate responsibility, ensure proper food storage and safety practices, and stop serving contaminated food. Until they do, I cannot recommend this café to anyone.
