One of the best sports bars I’ve been to in SF! Lots of TVs, they post what games they’re gonna play ahead of time, and the vibes are great for watching games or hanging out. The staff is awesome, super friendly. They can make pretty much any cocktail for you and their food is spectacular. Also their restrooms are clean! 10/10 on all fronts, we’ll be back to watch more soccer!

Finally chilling out during weekday games. Food is phenomenal and drinks options are great with low ABV and NA options. Weekends can still be busy during game days. Recommended to come 45 mins to an hour early on weekends!

Such a nice place, such nice ambience, such great foods. This restaurant gives the feeling that you are in a restaurant in Paris! We really enjoyed our experience there. There are variety of options for starters, main course and desserts. I highly recommend the duck's leg confit,, which is served with a delicious crispy sliced potatoes. The hanger stake wad also a delice, served with a red wine reduction sauce served with fries. We ordered it medium rare, and it was so tender and juicy. For the dessert, we had the special dessert, orange chocolate bread pudding. It was so delicious, and nice decorated. Very nice and friendly staff!

Had a very lovely dinner at L’ardoise Bistro for my mother’s birthday. The food, atmosphere, and service were fantastic (especially the lamb!). So cozy, perfect for winter. Can’t wait to dine here again!

This food really is unmatched. The service was great and the atmosphere was cozy. It is working with a bit of a limited space, but they are so quick to service that you don’t even have time to notice. The portion are just right and the deserts aren’t too filling so definitely worth ordering some no matter how full you think you are. Plus apparently the chef is the owner, so good sign of quality of food! They have a weird curtain at the door that makes it seem like they are closed, but just ignore that.

This place has so much to be proud of and to show for. It's beautiful tucked away in a residential neighborhood of San Francisco. Just walking there in the evening can give you a bit of a romantic feeling. The entrance is clever as an old invention to have a curtain on the inside of the door to prevent cold from entering the restaurant. That gives the guest a pleasant experience and nobody has to shiver regardless how close to the door you are sitting. The interior is welcoming and warm making you feel you are part of a community. The menu is short and to the point of being French . It's your everyday French home cooking done well. The staff with their French accent is adding to the feeling of being away from home. We tried their flank steak, coq au vine and lamb . All making their own home run. To be clear this is not Michelin Star level of eating but it's satisfying every taste bud and leaves you satisfied all around. The desserts were also divine and yes of course the wine selection is a great extension of their menu. Try their Red Sancerre , you will love it on your palette and it will bring out the various main courses even more.

From the amazing ambience, intimacy of the place, service, staff, and the FOOD… everything was impeccably delicious! Starting with the appetizers, main course, drinks, and desserts! Awesome food all around, but our favorite was the rack of lamb. The ravioles were a great starter, and we also really enjoyed the cook of the sea bass. For dessert, I highly recommend their chocolate 'cake' covered in a berry puree (sorry, I can't remember the actual name of this dish). Everything was delicious, so I am convinced you couldn't go wrong here.

Such a wonderful bistro. We went for a birthday celebration and everyone enjoyed all that was ordered. The atmosphere was cozy and service, attentive, though I will say we did feel a bit rushed toward the end of our meal so the table could be turned over. Still, that minor element wouldn't deter me from returning or recommending.

This is by far my most favorite French restaurant in SF! When you come to this restaurant, make sure to order this Brussel sprout salad, it’s really tasty 😋. The other foods I orders were well cooked and L’Ardoise Bistro should be a must try restaurant if you ever crave French food.

Great small and romantic restaurant serving outstanding French cuisine! We had two salads the Brussels sprouts and the beet. Both were good but the beet salad knocked it out of the park! The goat cheese with small cubes of beets was an incredible combination. We also had the Coq au vin and the rib steak. They were Both outstanding. I’ve recently eaten the rib eye at Harris and Joe’s of Westlake and this ribeye was another level above those! Fairly expensive but worth every penny, tender melt in your mouth with a wine and bacon sauce it was incredible. Finally my ribeye came with Pommes landaises potatoes but both of us couldn’t stop eating them, it was a cross between potato chips and a fried scallop potato. Brilliant!

Excellent choice for a celebratory dinner in SF, in addition to being insanely good French cuisine. We had read the escargot was the best in the city, and that was correct! The sauce was so luxurious and soaked up the baguette nicely. The apple tartin was a stellar end to the evening, truly can’t deny anything we ordered. Service was attentive and kind. 5/5 all around!

Great outdoor dining set up for authentic French food. Easy to get in and very fast service! The food is always consistently good! I always get the soup of the day special (they will split the bowl for you if you’re sharing),appetizer ravioli, and two mains: the duck confit and the fish dish. Everyone I’ve recommended about this place raves about it!

Really wanted to eat here, but couldn’t get a reservation so we took a chance on getting a seat at the bar and got lucky with two seats. We had the duck confit, the salmon, and the ravioli, and the standout was the duck. Crispy skin, tender, flavorful meat. I only wish we had ordered two plates! The potatoes were also amazing. I was a little disappointed by the wine options—it took three tries to find one I liked, and even it wasn’t fantastic—but I guess it’s all personal preference. Would visit again for sure, but this time would only order duck and would order wine by the bottle so we’d have more options.

Great vibe, and wonderful to have an alternative to the deafening Hi Tops! The only disappointment is the food which seems highly hit and miss… the chicken Sammy was wildly overcooked, thin and inedibly hard (I really should have just returned it); the beet burger is a great idea but very bland and lacks texture; the fish and chips comes with this odd sauce that seems to have come out of a Kroger’s salad dressing bottle. If they can fix up the quality of the food, they’ll get repeat locals coming in on quieter nights

The food was meh - we had brussels sprout salad mushroom risotto and black cod immersed in crab bisque . The Brussel sprouts salad was tiny, perhaps 1.5 cups and the vinaigrette was just a plain vinaigrette . Mushroom risotto had hardly any mushroom, so it was mostly risotto and cream in faint taste of truffle oil (with a hint of petrol) The worst part was the black cod dish - 2 or 3 oz of pan seared cod, served with not so buttery mashed potatoes, swimming in runny watery / not so creamy crab bisque (I couldn’t taste crab BTW). Service was good, but I wouldn’t say stellar. Intimate environment that’s very stuffy due to poor ventilation - so if there’s a person who’s wearing a nasty cologne, you will smell that with your meal every bite.
